Premium Member I Want You Back

Two texts came in.
“I still love you.”
“I want you back.”
I did not recognize the number.
It was not in my phone.

I dialed the number, and a machine answered.
It was his voice.
My stalker, freak boy, the crazy kid.
The one who had followed me around
Giving me compliments, thinking we had a relationship.

He could not have me back because we never had a relationship.
I was horrified. Who gave this creep my new number?
I began looking around the house looking for bugs.
None of my friends would have betrayed me like this.

The doorbell rang. I looked through the peek hole.
Some guy was holding a huge bouquet of yellow roses
in front of his face.
I reached for the phone to call the police
as I heard the glass in the door breaking.

Premium Member Bloodthirsty Night Stalker

by Joseph Christopher Liguori and Robert James Liguori
________________________________

Are you safe from intruders living on the tenth floor of a high rise?
Not as much as you would think, just a word to the wise.

There is a certain species that will still come to your home,
Wandering up the walls, at night they will roam.

Food is what they seek, as they scale high and low,
Looking all around, in each and every window.

Your best defense is having lights that flood,
As they feed on one thing alone, your pulsing blood.

A silver stake may come in handy,
That is, if you are not at first, their delicious candy.

So play it safe, grab a hammer and some nails,
For a boarded window, seldom fails!

Every morning when I wake there she is through the window,
Standing with her eyes open wide,
Not moving or walking, standing still in a gown,
In the cold that’s the morning outside,

In the winter with ice, with wind and with chill,
She stares, her eyes I can see,
Her eyes are jet black on her face that is white,
Her eyes that force me to re-

Define my own world, my moment of now,
Check on the things that I feel,
Check on how much she’s forcing my Me,
To figure out what’s even real.

Every morning when I wake I see her outside,
And I know she stands in my mind,
Because when I wake I remember each day,
That I can’t see because I am blind.

Premium Member University's Rif And Raf

Rif and Raf

Had a wrath

Both drew ice-cold bubbling baths

Soothing the whiff

Starting the tiff

Not ending as a morgue stiff

It sure stinks around here

Should be foaming with cheer

Wishing fraternity guys were here

Until a spear

Surfed their beer

“What the heck!

Rif, go out and check

Who is trying to lynch our neck?”

Rif stood there

Energized from the scare

Feeling the luring stare

“Can you sprint a dash?

I will give you a couple bucks cash,”

Offered a mysterious fellow

Turning Rif mellow

“Who are you?

Voyeuren honestly rude

Watching our pity patty feud

Not expecting any unsolicited guests

Wanting to glance at our sorority final exam tests”

“Cameras are rolling

You may want to get going

This is your big scene

Let out that scream

Making you a Queen

Due to the psycho fiend”

When production is done

Rif and Raf will continue their fun

Knowing the run

Will make teenage boys return

Despite their characters filling an urn

Ashes retrieved after an exotic night

Concluding when they lost the combative fight

Earning film credit

Acknowledging the one that gets it

In the end

Just as the writer penned

Premium Member Mindbang

We’re shape-shifting, my roommates and I. Transitioning mentally from freshmen and sophomores (nobodies) into juniors (somebodies). We’ve been around, we’re not the new kids anymore. We’re being seen and appreciated. It’s a mindbang.

There was a coolike girl, Kathleen, who was a senior when I was a freshman. I had a mad, mad envy-crush on her. She was everything I wanted to *be* when I was scared and unsure about things. Kathleen was perfect., an example of success that, like a fulcrum, lifted our confidence.

When she was around, I’d watch her, discreetly. She had this unconscious habit of touching her chin, with her index finger, when she was thinking. I swear, I found myself copying her, until Leong saw me do it once and said “Kathleen!” I was embarrassed. You can’t get away with anything around here.

Kathleen graduated last year. I saw her once, in her graduation gown, from afar. I got emotional. Part of me wanted to rush over, give her a huge, congratulatory hug and tell her what a role model she’d been for me - even though we’d never even talked, but I was afraid she’d think I was a stalker.
.
.
Webster: Fulcrum: a support that lifts*

slang..
mindbang = a shifting in a well-established paradigm.
coolike = a really awesome person you admire
perfect. = (the period has to be there) an amazing, flawless role model

Premium Member What Makes Us Human

They say: we are all aboard one boat do you agree?
There are many sailboats in the choppy sea.
Some ocean liners provide comfort and luxury.
Others dispense leisure and a drink on the balcony.

The star's radiance is not a concern.
I realize we do not view them. Wilt yearns.
Our murky self-portrait is enigmatic.
It is the paradigm stalker and emphatic.

We sat down after sliding into the ground.
We also have a similar identity around.
We have self-assurance and are proactive.
Akin a careful skydiver, we remain tractive

Our territory is growing with the breeze.
With our feet dangling outside appease
We are appreciative of the world broadly.
As I saw it rise, the dome seemed ungodly.

Man's eyesight is cloaked in darkness.
We face the side of the world in blackness.
When we assess a man, we do view gloom.
We all had to flee while jostling and doom.

Stalker

You live your life unaware that you're mine
and gaze through me like I do not exist
you may ignore me now, with that I'm fine
since I know all the signs that you have missed.
The daily trips to see you at the store
but buying nothing, see you then I leave
you act like you have not seen me before
a fact that I find so hard to believe.
Maybe you're so wrapped up within yourself
those flowing locks, blue eyes and perfect skin
you know you'll never be left on the shelf
for soon it will be time to take you in.
Not long now, darling for that moment when
Barbie, you join with me, your lover, Ken.

Starts with a title

~

Born on this rock with a diaper and mittens,
hard to the touch but so soft in its feel
Crawling along like a dragon with kittens,
purring out fire, if that could be real
Laid in the sun under cloud cover sharing,
offering thoughts in a dark shade of gray
Promising rain, during drought, oh so daring,
maybe at night but not during the day
Boy, how I laugh when the feathers are flying,
birds in the trees with a song out of tune
I shouldn't talk as I know they are trying,
lyrics of April when really, it's June

Quite the young dudes, hear the juke box, its blasting,
Bowie and Hoople and all of them guys
Burgers and milkshakes, the day everlasting,
teenage delinquents, come on, pass the fries
Racing our cars next to girls even faster,
after the prom there are beers, we can drink
Maybe some gin, if the taste we can master,
let's have a kiss, tell me, what do you think

Walked down the aisle, said I do, made a baby,
started a job, in a manager role
Asked for a raise, heard the boss offer, maybe,
can't make ends meet, it's beyond my control
Buying a house with a fence and a garden,
dinner at five and a two-car garage
Late with the bills, begging off for a pardon,
getting ahead, no, that's just a mirage

Elderly comes with a cane or a walker,
wrinkles amass where my skin was once smooth
Age lurks around like a lost, homeless stalker,
always, it seems. its got something to prove
Bent over, tired and cranky, just yelling,
"Get off the lawn!" oh, I hate those damn kids
They look so young, now the tear drops are swelling,
missing those days, now I've fallen the skids

Confined to bed, an old invalid writing,
pushing a pen with his last ounce of fear
"Here lies a man who is constantly fighting,
barely can talk and now hardly can hear"
That's when I see it, the medicine table,
next to the pills sits a leather-bound book
Reaching and stretching, I hope I am able,
nearing the end, I must give it a look
Then I recall, as I flip through the pages
line after line, seems like some kind of curse
Life always comes in a few different stages,
starts with a title and ends with a verse

STALKER
At late night train arrived my station.
     I am regular daily passenger.
     Also got down another stranger.
I did not pay much attention

   Suddenly sensed someone behind
    Turned back being conscious.
       That stranger suspiciou
      aroused fear in my mind.

      Entered a lane to misguide
     Decisive follower chose same direction
     I started running on desperation.
Stranger gained speed, I could not hide.

Made useless jump on a fence.
He did not miss leap in dark.
       Needless I loitered in park.
He followed without uttering a sentence.

At last I charged ‘What do you want, say kindly.’
       'My destination is just beside
       the house, you reside.
Station master asked me to follow you blindly.’
