Deep Into the Night

Deep into the night my mind is at ease
Yet my heart stays restless.
I lay and I look up at the ceiling
And I ponder what my heart may desire.
With every beat and blood flow thru,
It releases a heartbreak or maybe even
two.

These memories I replay over and over,
Time after time,
It’s always something
That makes me smile.
I loved them and lost them.
NO! They lost me.
I have no regrets because
They helped me find me.

Deep into the night my mind is at ease
Yet my heart stays restless.
I lay and I look up at the ceiling
And I ponder what my heart may desire.
With every beat and blood flow thru,
It releases a heartbreak or maybe even
two.

I walk to my window
And I stare out to the moon
I daydream and my dreams
Soon become a reality
If only for just a moment.
Time slows
As I fantasize.
I’m too old for the fairytales
But yet I still believe.
My heart believes dreams do come true.

Deep into the night my mind is at ease
Yet my heart stays restless.
I lay and I look up at the ceiling
And I ponder what my heart may desire.
With every beat and blood flow thru,
It releases a heartbreak or maybe even
two

My yesterdays formed my todays
And my todays
Will shape my tomorrows.
No regrets and no looking back.
I pulled thru
And am stronger than before.
More respect
And self-love,
More picking myself up
And more positivity,
More laughter
And more joy,
No more sorrow
And lots more happiness.
My goals are aimed
And I’m my only target.

Deep into the night my mind is at ease
Yet my heart stays restless.
I lay and I look up at the ceiling
And I ponder what my heart may desire.
With every beat and blood flow thru,
It releases a heartbreak or maybe even
two

Geared
And ready
For whatever may come.
Heavily guarded,
Steel walls all up.
As I lay
And look up at the ceiling
And I ponder what my heart may desire.
With every beat and blood flow thru,
It releases a heartbreak or maybe even
two.
Deep into the night my mind is at ease
Yet my heart stays restless.

Deep into the night my mind is at ease
Yet my heart stays restless.
I lay and I look up at the ceiling
And I ponder what my heart may desire.
With every beat and blood flow thru,
It releases a heartbreak or maybe even
two

A Little Piece of Something

I started to write this weeks ago,
I couldn't finish, I'm sure you know.
So now I've sat down to try again.
It's gone through changes cus of what's happened.

I remember that first day I saw you,
You were walking towards me, I looked away.
I was feeling clumsy, lost for words to say.
All I heard were good things about you,
Good things you proved true.

I need you to know you're a little piece of something,
I can't live without.
I hold your memory so close inside me,
Feelings I never understood, till I was lonely.

I yearn for your voice, I long for your touch.
I burn for the heat in every kiss you gave to me.
I need to know you're close, I need to know you care.
But most of all, I just need to know you're there.

All the colour is fading away,
My life is fading to shades of gray.
My tears crash down and break apart,
But now my tears become my heart.

You showed me a little piece of something,
I never thought could be.
I found a little piece of something,
Growing between you and me.

I yearn for your voice, I long for your touch.
I burn for the heat in every kiss you gave to me.
I need to know you're close, I need to know you care.
But most of all, I just need to know you're there.

I'm falling alone, I'm finding nothing on my own.
I'm losing control, I'm losing it all.
I can smile and I can laugh,
But it's not the same as it could be.
Sure, you can smile and you can laugh,
But it's not as good as it should be,
If you were with me.

I yearn for your voice, I long for your touch.
I burn for the heat in every kiss you gave to me.
I need to know you're close, I need to know you care.
But most of all, I just need to know you're there.

You hold my heart and you're unaware,
I wish that you were always there.
You hold my heart and you're unaware,
I wish that you were always there.
I just need you to know how I feel,
I just need you to know how I feel,
Understand, my feelings are real.

I yearn for your voice, I long for your touch.
I burn for the heat in every kiss you gave to me.
I yearn for your voice, I long for your touch.
I burn for the heat in every kiss you gave to me.
I need to know you're close, I need to know you care.
But most of all, I just need to know you're there.

Poison Passions

Alone at last, no one in sight
I cannot sleep, it’s late at night.
The moon shines bright, there are a million stars.
Venus is here, but make room for mars.

I wonder what’s this feeling I feel,
Is it loneliness, longing or just fear?
How do I stop this rapid heart beat?
Beating so loud, I hear it in my ear.

The sweltering heat is early this year,
It causes excitement in people everywhere.
Cats on heat, their wailing a curse,
Cricket sounds piercing, that’s the worst.

I sit at my window and close my eyes,
And there you stand, so tall with pride.
I reach out to you, excited already,
But touch the window, that’s cold and sturdy.

This night is so long; I wish you were here,
Passions taken over, I need you near.
My lips are parched, my tongue so dry,
Wet kisses from you, I’ll not deny.

Tiny pink lingerie, lots of leg to show,
Seductive exotic perfume, for whom, I don’t know.
French manicure nails and pedicure toes,
I feel like a princess, and smell like a rose.

Ninety eight degrees is my body’s heat,
My hands are sweaty, and so are my feet.
Perspiration runs down my back and face,
But my heart’s still beating at a rapid pace.

Moments like these I despise the most,
The scent of my perfume, the feel of my clothes.
I touch my lips, my breasts, my legs,
This pleasure I feel, out of control it gets.

I close mine eyes, and start to imagine,
You in my arms, it’s close to heaven.
Will I ignite the flames of this fire?
Will I submit to your every desire?
Your warm wet body I touch and kiss,
Your manhood aroused by the softness of my lips.
Your breathe is musty, your tongue so sweet,
Your kisses strong, your bite so deep.

I run my hands on your face and breast,
I feel your heart beat inside your chest.
Your hands are trembling in your embrace,
My velvet skin you slowly caress.

This agonizing desire, I can’t endure,
These years of loneliness, can’t take no more.
Ecstasy divine has reached the sky,
I feel my love, my passions on fire.

These magical moments were all a dream,
My incredible obsessions of you and me.
This insatiable desire, this burning inside
This scandalous pleasure, so hard to deny.

Another Darkened Fairy Tale I Shall Weave

So shall I be honest
I was modest
You took it for granted
I have a strong sense of being abandoned
I hope you know I hate to see you
Because every time I do I’m reminded how much I really love you
And I’ve never doubted that you knew
And by the way when you asked if I would be ok
I answered with a lie
Guess what it hurt even more when you said goodbye
I asked did you bother to ask yourself why

This has been a most exciting roller-coaster ride
Some of these words are far from literal
But I believe you should consider them all
Your just a customer and you pay with a piece of yourself
I think you should start thinking instead of drinking
And I’m more honest
So every time you think about crying
I’ll just hope to be dying
So would you rather me be lying
Because I’m exceptional at that too

And ever night I lie alone
Motionless just hoping I can donate myself to heaven
You never knew its been seven years
This tale never nears the end just a new beginning
So I’ll be winning while sinning
I bet this song will leave you grinning
Tomorrow is another word for a new beginning
I’ve had the best and worst of them with you
I hope you know
I bet you never knew

And even after it was through you stilled signed “I heart you”
So I’m wondering did you feel inclined to bind my heart
So baby I’m trying to be brief but I held this in for too long
This is pay back in the form of a song
Yes, I think you did me wrong
How’s that for honesty and modesty is up the creek with out a paddle
So saddle up I’m going to ride this wave of guilt all night
I know much more than you could believe
You don’t have the option to leave
Please believe, Please , Please believe

So if you can’t manage this then cease my heart before you leave
I hope you hold no belief in grief
Because I do and this won’t be brief
I hold many beliefs
I’ve got an ace up my sleeve
On second thought just leave
I have no need to torture myself with your wealth of charming pantomimes
I’ll be fine
Be strong just leave
I’ll be strong please believe
Another darken fairy tale I shall weave
Be strong just leave and I will grieve

Sherry, the One That Got Away

Sherry, The One That Got Away
By Rick Rucker

Sherry was the one that got away,
I remember her to this very day,

She was quite a winsome lass,
I was far below her class,

Her brother was a friend of mine,
I first met his sister, with a smile of Sunshine!

I went to his house to swim in his pool,
There, I made myself the perfect fool!

I was drying off, and standing there,
When out walked Venus, with raven hair!

I was not merely tongue tied,
Had I not averted my eyes, I might have died!

Just then, my heart suddenly stopped,
But for paralysis, I would have dropped!

Understand that I was shy,
Too afraid to talk to her, I won’t lie!

Just to make matters worse,
A song came out, to add to my curse,

Frankie Valli sang a song,
To, my embarrassment, prolong,

The title was graced with her name,
It made feel even more lame,

A line of the song asked her on a date,
To never have the courage to do that was my fate!

I had a rich fantasy life,
In it, she starred as my wife,

We were so much in love,
Birds serenaded us from above!

I imagined we had little need of clothes,
Writhing together, we would curl our toes,

Finally the balance of the Universe I had to restore,
I could not take it anymore!

I began to think like Machiavelli,
All because of Frankie Valli!

With her brother, I did pick a fight,
So that I could sleep at night,

So that I would see her never more,
In time, my heart became less sore.

In time, I learned to be more assertive,
Not merely giving girls glances, furtive,

I even fell in love and married,
But, sometimes at night, my thoughts tarried,

On the memory of that lovely girl,
Who, among the swine, she was a pearl.

Whenever I read about two people, married forever,
I kick myself for lack of guts I never,

Asked Sherry on a date,
Therefore could not become her mate,

I do not know what might have been,
Had I not been the most timid of young men.

I hope she has had a wonderful life,
I did, and a terrific wife,

But still I sometimes hear that song,
And instantly, I know that I did wrong!

Premium Member Dakota Land

Chorus:

Dakota Land was Indian land,
Dakota Land was free,
The white man came,
Now all that remain,
Are the reservations,
And the broken treaties.

Narration:

He stands alone, his head held high,
His eyes have dimmed with age.
When days of yore pass in review,
His heart can fill with rage.

He was a mighty warrior then,
Sioux was his name,
Dakota Land was his alone,
Before the white man came.

The rivers wide, the rolling hills,
The thundering buffalo masses,
Rabbit, deer and phesant hide,
Among the prairie grasses.

Women tanned the hides for winter,
Spread the berries out to dry,
Gathered roots and herbs and bark,
To keep the winter colic out.

The warrior grand in his aray,
With achievements he could boast,
The boys playing warrior games,
Among ancesteral ghosts.

The strangers came, first there was one,
And then there was another.
What harm could these strange people do,
Amidst the mighty hunter.

Then everything began to change,
The white man brought decay,
The brilliant skies of blue he knew,
Soon turned to darkest gray.

He smoked the peace pipe, signed their treaties,
Gave his word and hand,
Then came the final crushing blow,
His own Dakota Land.

They put him on the reservation,
Told him here he was to stay,
Said that there would be much blood shed,
If he tried to go away.

Then came the wars, the rageing battles,
Their blood did mingle then .
Even with his many victories,
How could the Indian win.

To ease their conscience, they'd provide,
Clothing, food and bread,
Can this ever pay them back
For freedom, when it's dead?

Laughing Water, Singing Dove,
Crazy Horse and more,
Long time gone but in the heart,
There still remains the scar.

He stands alone, his head held high,
His eyes have dimmed with age.
But in his heart Dakota Land,
And Sioux, are still the same.

See What You Saw and Ignore My Perverse Call

I was only sixteen for a moment
Then seventeen for a second
Who would have thought I couldn’t hold it
The kid who could do it all
Who would have thought he would grow up and fall down
He never guessed that those speeding years would be the best
And remembered in tumbling tears
The old familiar faces are no longer around

So now I’m leaving on a journey
Burning through the night
Leaving some bloodstains to frame out the scars
That’ll jar our memories and blind the true life dreams
Now I’m feigning
Killing myself by dreaming
I’m scheming on redeeming my former state
This time I won’t abate
It’ll be straight over the broken glass
Another unspoken forsaken heart that I’m concentrated on breaking

Baby hip hop pop the top
Ignition as result of the drop
Stop think and listen
Silence listen
Quiet please another tragic vision
Lets mop up this which glistens
I was christened as pure
Raised as evil
Lets seesaw
Lets silence your broken call
Appall them all
Why walk when I can’t crawl

The perfect fix in a simple magic trick
So damn smooth
Splendidly slick
Now for the trick
Two simple props key to male my heart stop
Just a boy and a mirror
And all his fear of what times brung
I’ll fix what I can’t admit
Lets silence the dreamer inside
Not to lie so if you would say goodbye
Time to live or die
Three times thrice this won’t happen twice
I’ll look in the mirror see what I saw
Take the saw edges serrated
Time to cut out the heart that never made it

Don’t you dare try to save it
I’ll brave it out
Just whisper
I can whisper like a shout
I’m insurmountable
My dreams are unaccounted for
Living life as a whore
I’ll give and give
Please won’t you take and take

I’ll drown in my personal fire water lake
Condemn me for being real
Would you rather me be fake
Another choice for you to make

My Lord and My Love

Take me , my love to the waters source
souls naked to each other and our course
my praise lifted the apple of mine eye
art thou glorious , tis mine song to cry

You must lead my way in a walk thats True
for all the fine things I have found in you
gentle call so beckons you are my delight
your visions fill all mine day and night

You are too precious to leave my mind
for you I shall leave all others behind
gypsy soul has wandered the world lost
her dances with others behind her are tossed

You are jade like the sprouts are green
the life you've breathed into my being
like the spray of waterfalls tumbling down
I bow to what our God has crowned

You are gentle in a world thats cruel
and emollient that can heal a fool
you have taken whats broken and made it whole
from the world which has taken its toll

You are the song upon my lips
the clothing strength that girds my hips
you are the blood within my heart
the energy that fills every part
the breath of spirit which gives me life
the calm that eases all my strife

Your sacrifice has flowed crimson red
that you might give life unto the dead
I must meld my soul to you
so I might learn the things you do

You love me with a heart so pure
I know all time it will endure
My heart skips like the rams of mountains
you quench my thirst with your fountains

your pardon has released from the fall
tis only as I have answered your call
the melody of love did my heart soften
may you , my love enter here quite often

You are the shade of all the groves
the whitened wool of all the droves
the warmth that dwells in rays of light
the knowledge that gives to all insight
you are the flash of epiphany
the spectrum that brings us to our knee
as the universe moves to your will
you do with abundance our lives do fill

Song On the Breeze

She was born high on the mountain top
Where the soul stays pure and free
She sang everyday from the mountain top
Her voice was carried away on the breeze
The sweet angel voice floated- to the valley below
Where the Ranger was walking the street
Alone he would walk to serve and protect
The valley from the darkness it would meet
He was a white noble knight,in a black leather vest
He was the last of a rare hero’s breed
Then one day he heard the voice on the breeze

It sang,
Follow your heart and you’ll find you way home
No need to walk through the valley alone
Just search and you’ll find the Angel Divine
And love from the mountain crest high
Just follow the song on the breeze

He searched all around as he walked through the town
But the sweet voice was nowhere to be found
Then the darkness rolled in and he was at again
Trying to save the innocent souls of the town
He forgot the sweet voice as he followed the noise
Of horses and the bandits escape
He followed them high through the mountains they climbed
Until he caught them at the top near the edge
He fought hard and proud and he captured them all
His heart beating strong when justice prevailed
He was turning around to take them to town
When he heard the sweet voice on the breeze

It sang,
You followed your heart and you found your way home
No need to return to the darkness of valley again
You searched and you found your Angel Divine
And the love that was sent down from me
Now follow the song on the breeze

He sent the prisoners away with the Deputy Shane
He said he won’t be walking the dark streets anymore
The voice on the breeze has called out to me
From this place where my soul is at peace
He turned then to see the voice from the breeze
And the love in his sweet Angels eyes

A Taste of Home

Verse 1
I dialed that familiar number,
Cuz’ my heart was breaking in two
And aching for the comfort,
that in her voice I knew I’d find
And the invitation for a taste of home
To a kitchen table where hearts are healed
And problems were solved every time

Chorus
She’d say come on home,
You need a taste of home
And there’s no better cure,
Then my heart filled apple pie
And Grams in the kitchen
For your favorite dish
And, it’s the best remedy,
you’ll ever find

Verse 2
I jumped in my car, started to drive
Thinking about how love can come and go
Then the magical memories,
of the love, of a family
Brought sweet visions in my mind
I laughed out loud, about the last big cake fight
An on going war with a cousin of mine

Verse 3
I pulled into the driveway
Sat in wonder and just stared
The whole darn family, they were all standing there
An impromptu BBQ, to heal my heart
Was on the menu for tonight
I‘m so happy I came home,
to heal this broken heart of mine

Chorus
She’d always say come on home,
You need a taste of home
And there’s no better cure,
Then my heart filled apple pie
And Grams in the kitchen
For your favorite dish
And, it’s the best remedy,
you’ll ever find

Bridge
And later in the evening,
As Uncle Jack manned the BBQ
He put his arm around me saying,
I was once there in your shoes
Isn’t it funny how the love of a family
Can almost heal a broken heart
But the final ingredient to make it whole again
Is the apple pie and love,
from your Mama’s heart

Chorus
She’d always say come on home,
You need a taste of home
And there’s no better cure,
Then my heart filled apple pie
And Grams in the kitchen
For your favorite dish
And, it’s the best remedy,
you’ll ever find

Just come on home
