From the beginning of a new year right to the very end of it, there's something that brings people together in ways that makes our world all that much better. Something that's been going on ever since the beginning of celebration. Whether it be a cause for life, birth, death, holiday or anything that brings groups of people together to share smiles, laughs, and joy. Birthday's- give us parties with family and friends, an event where everyone sings together and shares a celebratory cake as they all watch the new year olds close their eyes and blow out candles wishing for that hopeful wish to come true. Everyone smiles and claps as the last candle has been blown out. Mutual feelings of love are shared with everyone from the youngest child to the oldest grandparent. Even strangers, if out somewhere, will join in and sing the celebratory song-"Happy Birthday To You" Birth- From the moment the newborn comes out of the womb to the first smack on his/her tiny little rear-ends (butts or ghoulies as my mother would call it). Smiles and happiness are an instant welcome from the over-joyed parents, family, doctors and nurses. "Welcome To The World Little Ones" Death- Even at times of sadness we celebrate the life and death of a loved one as it brings loved ones together to share happy memories of those they have lost. And then there are- Holidays- These are my favorite times of the year, times when people all over the globe collaborate in mass celebrations by singing, dancing, decorating and showing and sharing their love and kindness to most everyone they come in contact with or talk to on that special occasion. Celebration- without celebration our world would be tasteless and boring and unfortunately there would be a whole heck of a lot less smiles going around. Smiles- it's what the world needs now, tomorrow, and till the end of our time here on earth. "Smile On"
Whatever the month or time of the year it is, it is these occasions that bring joy to my soul and love to my heart.

But her wrinkled picture brings my tears, back to her

She's always on my mind, when things go wrong

It's so hard living with her gone, for so long
That's why I set down and wrote, our little song

Every year as in the coming of this New Year;
This is the shortest and wishing song of the year
You need not take much time to sing, o, dear!
But take long ceremonies overthrowing the old grief
That its significance can reach much deep in our life
To uproot the poisonous trees of the old year
And plant the blissful ones from the 1st day of New Year;
Intending to be happy the year round let's befriend
Love all but hate, envy, swindle or harm none,
In mind taking rights and independence for self and all
Without violating others' rights and thoughts;
Committing no a single point of iniquities to others at all
Which originates terrible ones cause chaos, ruins, wars;
Let's sacrifice plotting trivial and self interests
For the sake of the greatest interests facilitate all;
As with hopes and blessings the New Year has come,
Nature has put on the beautiful wears of the year is seen,
The blossoms are spreading pleasant fragrance,
From the birds the melodious tone of the year is coming;

My books live somewhere
in distant California,
in city with the beautiful name «Los Angeles».
I sent them there to unfamiliar Mr. Mooser.
Now he is their new father.
I frequently see in my imagination
my books in their new country,
in their new house with new parents.
Probably my books – my children – are happy there:
They stand in book shelves.
Sunbeams smile at them,
Different people take them in their hands,
look at their pictures, and maybe even
they read them sometimes!
But sometimes I am afraid that
my books live
like poor orphans:
They lay in darkness, among unread papers.
They are covered with dust
and nobody ever takes them in hand...
But I am a big egoist,
I do not want to cry and worry.
Therefore I pretend:
my children – my books
are happy in their new country,
in their new houses, with new parents.
And maybe, even,
somebody will read them,
sometime.
How do the stars shine so bright
while you and I are lost in the night,
And how does this world keep on turning
when all that's left is our innocence burning?
I wish I could go away and lose myself in dreams.
If I try, can I fly with broken wings?
Lord, please show me what to do.
