Is It Real

Is it real or are you faking
it? ;
Can you testify truly
without a hit?
That it is as strong as it
seems? ;

Even in the absence of
every being;
You are poised to create a
scene;
That goes against all sins;
I could call you the mustard
seed;
But, is it worth it? ;
It is one thing to be known
for something;
And another to be firm in
acting;

The story begins with the
action;
The test;
The great test that you
can’t detest;
Your arms are tied;
Sitted in that waiting room;
And like a criminal that is
tried;
You shiver like its all going
to end in doom;
No! She must live…;
That’s what goes through
your mind;
And even a quick magic
right
now, you won’t dare to
mind;

I thought you had it in you;
I thought it was for real;
Even after all the binding;
And through all the casting;
Your mind is still in a doubt
situation;
And you run helter skelter
in search of a faster
solution;
From Church to Church;
From Temple to Temple;
And alas! From shrine to
shrine;
How then can the light
shine?
As it has finally been lost
for a
cheap fine;

The word says it’s the
evidence of
things not seen;
The assurance of things
hoped for;
A supernatural gift given to
you;
And yet your distance from
it grew;
Like both sides of a forever
widening canyon;

You once testified;
That he was crucified;
Not for nothing sake;
But for our whole spiritual
make;
A good reason for our
belief in him;
And our total submission;

Have you forgotten or are
you blinded? ;
Blinded by impatience and
greed;
And now;
The big question;
Where lays your faith?
Is he not the same as he
was in the past?
The healer, the provider, the
protector;
The I am that I am;
Where lays your faith?
An encouraging answer
would
spark up a good fate;

After all the roaming for
quick solution;
You still come back to your
place
of true solution;
Inevitable!
That’s the word;
He raised Lazarus from the
dead;
He said a word and the evil
spirits
fled;
Does that ring a bell?
I guess it does now;
And it’s clear that you once
lost
the faith;
And luckily it’s not too late;
Use the kneeler;
Make that prayer;
Have the belief;
Feel the relief;
And Alleluia
The problem is all gone;
The story of faith;
Preaching to your state;
Good or bad;
Hope it is real;
Hope it’s not fake;
Your faith;

Is It Justice Or Injustice

If i allow a mother to steal food, in order to feed her babies. Does that make me
an angel or criminal? How do we as people not take responsibilty to change our
own destiny?
For justice is the right of everyone!

If i don't take the time to teach this mother to stand, to be self reliant, to have faith,
to face her fears. If i don't teach her compassion and self respect. Does that
make me part of the problem or the solution?
For any injustice hurts everyone!

If i don't register to vote because i believe the system is broke. How then can i sit
on this mother's jury, with 11 others to deceide if she committed a crime?
For justice is the right of everyone!

If i allow the truth to be silenced by her economics or her up bringing. Am I giving
her an excuse to keep on?
For any injustice hurts everyone!

If i check hispanic as my race because my other choices demand that i deny my
mother. Does that mean that i disrespect my own people?Does that mean i don't
believer in Dr. King's dream?
For justice is the right of everyone!

If i allow the disrespect of another's faith, from one coming of my own. Does that
mean I have no faith in my own beliefs?
For any injustice hurts everyone!

If i adopt a child from a a foreign country. Does that make me heartless to the
needs of the here?
For justice is the right of everyone!

If am a solider supporting my family and I must go to war. Does that mean I
support the reasons behind the war?
For any injustice hurts everyone!

If am a hard working law abiding citixen . Does that mean that it is none of my
concern how the system punishes criminals of differnt races?
For justice is the right of everyone!

If my child is on life support and my insurance won't cover no more treatment .
Who then has the right to deceide if my child lives or dies?
For any injustice hurts everyone!

If i justify my wrong doings with excuses of what was done to me and my people.
Will you tell me what that makes me?
For justice is the right of everyone!

Justice is everyone's freedom to think, feel, love, have no limits in what one can
do. Justice is to receive the respect of everyone. Not to be judged for sex,race or
faith. To have equal opportunities for you and I!
To quote Dr. King's words, " Injustice anywhere threatens justice everywhere!"
end quote.
For any injustice hurts everyone!

“It's not that we cant see the solution; it's that we cant see the problem” - G.K. Chesterton

It's all so crazy
The perception of our society
Are we blind; are we ignorant?
Perhaps what will be, will be

It's not that we can’t see the solution
It seems so obvious - so clear
But when you look beneath the surface
The reality - I think that's what we really fear

We think that food is a problem
With obesity at an all time high
The truth - obesity Is a symptom
Yet, we continually close our eyes

Over half of America
Is over weight or obese
It's the leading cause of preventable deaths
However; it's not what we eat

It's what's eating us
During our days and our nights
Its the voice in our head
That tells us things aren't quite right

Food doesn't kill people
It's similar to gun control
30,000 violent deaths per year
I bet here's a fact you don't know

Of the 30,000 violent deaths
18,000 are suicides
You're right - guns do kill people
But we never ask people why they want to die

The solutions may seem clear
But stress, anxiety, and fear still remains
It's not food or the guns
That elicit the majority of life's pain

So let's have a drink
That will help us to relax and unwind
Here, have another
It's a sophisticated red wine

According to a National Survey
86 percent  reportedly drink
26 percent binge
That's a lot don't you think?

An estimated 88,000 people
Die from alcohol-related causes per year
It's the third leading preventable cause of death in the United States
The solution? - address, don't try to drink away what you fear

So what's the real problem?
Here, I'll take the sacrificial dive
I'll use logic and reason
A method we use in other areas of our lives

It's not eating or drinking
That’s causing our pain
In modernity
It's the mental health of our brain

It's what we value
It's who we choose to idolize
It's the trivially matters
The distorted sense of self we despise

When we learn to face facts
Prioritize what we do
When we value virtue
Compassion manifest - love will carry us through

We’ll choose take smaller bites
Have one drink to unwind
We’ll have a gun for protection
Moderation - the Golden rule still applies

It's not that we can’t see the problem
It’s that we won't look at the disease
The solution?
Address mental health - please

Bring On the Rejection Slips and Or Lost Wager

Bring on the rejection slips and/or lost wager

Though flush with good humor
pun one mock two yields negligible
true cash equivalent value won
dirt poor offspring privileged as prodigal son
pockets bursting with legal tender,
where just yesterday I had none.

All polite declinations
strung together would circle...
(fill in the blank)
matter of fact, I just got a slew of them
today June 9th, 2020, what a lucky man
me haint an idealist...,

but winning poetry (writing) contest
or purchasing lottery tickets...
yeah, nothing butta pipe dream
such improbable whimsical notion
linkedin and tantamount
with milkmaid and pail

Aesop pose fabulous incredulous solution
finally good riddance
hand to mouth existence
hello riches, perchance a dollop
and/or sizable windfall courtesy
drawn PowerBall and/or Mega Million ticket

whereby yours truly suddenly
cursed with chump change,
and/or abundant money
would experience "fifteen minutes of fame"
flush with friends and relatives
I (a misanthrope) never knew existed
(perhaps even marriage proposition,

no matter wedded bliss prevails)
interesting... how moderate
and/or substantial wealth
suddenly finds chock a block
acquisitions (regarding brand new automobile,
custom designed house,

travel opportunities galore
(maybe even vacation to Mars)
(despite coronavirus - COVID -19) prevalence,
nevertheless awareness viz immutability altering
pubescent stunted emotional, physical
and social development

profusely sweating hands, social anxiety
all the while knowing money
can't buy happiness,
yet once and for all at long last
free and clear of grinding poverty
cuz groveling along

the pockmarked highway
avails countless exit ramps
plethora of choices
how to be analogous to jolly Roger
piloting immense ship of state
(approximating size of Rhode Island)

equipped with the latest trappings
matter of fact replete
with every creature comfort
analogous to rich
self sufficient independent country
allowing, enabling, and providing
a warm welcome - think unfurled
Harris tweed Scottish welcome mat.

Meanwhile somewhere in Schwenksville,
Pennsylvania resident
(within apartment B44)...
tenant fritters precious time wishfully thinking
(luxuriant life within theoretical leisure class)
finding this nameless scrivener
invariably hoisting himself by his own petard.

Unspun:In the Orange

I lay in my bed.
Thoughts come in waves.
When will it end?
The Dragon slain.

No amount of time.
No person, no thing.
Can change the fate,
That the needle brings.

Sights of Orange,
Delight my eyes.
I pick up a crystal,
And to no surprise.

I crush it down.
In that damn orange cup.
I’m so overwhelmed.
The sinking feeling abrupt.

I carefully decide,
The amount to pour.
Then mix it with water.
And dissolve once more.

I take off the cap,
To reveal the shine.
Of that needle so enticing.
That it blows my mind.

I feel so small.
As I stare at that point.
My body quivers.
I can’t disappoint.

Thoughts of guilt.
Invade my brain.
But my body keeps saying,
This will soon end the pain.

So I draw the solution,
Into the stem.
Then flick it twice.
Let the bubbles settle in.

I slowly push the air out.
That’s collected on top.
And wonder to myself,
If I will ever stop.

But I shrug it away.
And again think of pain.
Then tie on my tourniquet.
And say “ it” again.

The veins start to pop.
And spread on my skin.
They bulge and prod,
And trickle within.

Sometimes this takes hours.
Sometimes days of my life.
I get so frustrated.
But search on with strife.

I stab myself over and over again.
Until the blood flows red into my syringe.

Seeing the blood,
Makes my whole body weak.
But I surrender with ease.
No more words can I speak.

I push the plunger forward,
Till she entires my veins.
Down to the last drop.
Empty and insane.

I wait just a second.
Pull the needle out.
My body turns to fire.
This is what it’s all about.

From my toes to my head,
Her venom spreads.
Ecstasy at last.
No more feelings of dread.

Then the fire fades,
Just as quickly as it came.
And then there’s just calm.
A final break from the shame.

I’ve given my life to this process,
So many times.
The bigger the shot.
The bigger the crimes.

When I’m in this state,
The dragon has one.
My mind and my heart,
Become unspun.

I do terrible things,
To all of my friends.
My family, my children.
But she always wins.

I always think I can only do one.
But that’s never the case.
The cycles just begun.

“The devils tool” I’ve heard it said.
Takes every ounce of life.
And leaves you for dead.

But you rise up and start
The process once more.
A zombie. Tortured chaos.
I don’t know anymore.

We, You, I : a Rap Song

"I ain't gonna be nothing,
Cos it seem like f'ever I've been longing."
Tears in the eyes, phlegm in the nose,
Skin so sore, malady of the toes.
Helter-skelter, yet, nothing to show for,
Studied chemistry and physics what have I got?
I've got nothing, but walking,
Turning like a wheel, with no Boris,
Fishing and hunting, yet no prey,
A thousand padlocks and just two keys.
Governments say what they won't do,
Making us seem as big fools,
Manifestoes, flap-doodles;
Serving trimmed rubbers as noodles.
"Eat, eat, eat" they bade us,
Proud to champion course unjust.
Queen of s, Lord of tongues,
Sharpened bolox, Seasoned guts.
Now they stand as the saviours,
Voice so high, dreading as thunder.
More they speak, more they hunger,
Nourished with lies, growing fatter.
What do we do, what are should?
'nough of savagery, 'nough being fooled.
Hey hey hey I'm talkin' you.
You you you you you you you.
Y'all wake up, wake from slumber,
'Nough of dearth, 'nough of hunger.
We goan be sleepers death after,
Now eyes are open, why the scar?
If its dirt they're tissue papers,
Come for bucks, here is a dollar,
Buy the one which is cleaner,
Use it on your eyes and see clearer.
You should now see, yea better,
Humans like you claiming beggars.
Those then begging, now are loiters,
Those then loitering, now are robbers,
Those then robbing, now are killers,
Those then killing, now are prisoners,
Those then in prison, met their demise.
And on and on, Same thin' O'er and O'er.
And we live on in myopia,
Till perhaps come the rapture.

Now we need revolution,
Bundle up and throw out corruption.
Right in our palm is solution,
But we've been feared by confusion.
Change prior to conviction,
Let's agitate for lib'ration,
Kill who should die as oblation ;
Those who're swimming in corruption.
For e'ery bribe they get commission,
E'en loot their congregation,
Loaning 'em to indecision.
Spare no seed of transgression.
Even the bible make no exception ;
The book of proverbs even in extension,
In chapter six verse eighteen makes a correction:
Only the death of the innocent is a transgression,
But of the wicked? Sure purification.

The first two lines would come no more,
If we do what is right as we ought.

Premium Member The World-You-Me-My Soul-The Mind

Do you sometimes wonder
how to introduce what is out there to your soul and mind?
how to understand that which exists, in that period of time?
and in that present moment is real, and do you feel guilty if you leave it all behind?

Have you heard that your ego will prevent you
from being who you were meant to be?
And you get absorbed in society’s creations
but you find yourself confused, and unable to see.

And you might search the news
looking for those reads that will reaffirm what’s on your mind.
And you “stumble upon” absurd conspiracy theories
which you “miraculously” find.

Can you somehow see a reflection of who you are?
Or is the mirror broken, left far behind?
Can you ask yourself, honestly, sincerely, what the solution is for human kind?
Or do you get lost within the scope of your very own personal mind?

And as you sit there
do you blame others while looking for a system that creates the hurt?
Deep down you know the answer
it’s selfishness, hatred, power, and greed, which continue to subvert.

What is real and what is fake?
I often wonder what is true.
Yes I listen and I analyze
I use up a portion of my time to see it from a particular point of view.

For now I want to spend my time
searching within my soul for something that I’m unable in this world to find
which baffles me some of the time
because occasionally it’s born and exists deep within my very own mind.

I’m just a being, living and trying to be that which I foresee
searching for the spiritual in that which is before me
at times attempting to find meaning in mortality
with a burning desire to understand and see.

It is contentment which I pursue
Even look inside the cracks
But at times like these contentment hides
and the road ahead confuses me, so I retrace, as I retract.

Maybe I got it all wrong
Maybe some of it is right
Maybe my vision is blurry and foggy
Maybe at times I have trouble seeing the light.

I can take what is happening out there
interpret using knowledge, a view, and perhaps a belief
but often the truth is just not there, and the news really stinks as it permeates
and the nature of the many, rarely offer one relief.

And I’m left with the choice to accept, dissolve, or set it all aside
using my soul and my very own mind.
And after attempting to understand
I ultimately, usually, leave it all behind.

South of the United States Border

South Of The (United States) Border...
(Reigns A Welter Of Disorder)

Caravans comprising multitudinous
     peoples plodded a steady course
analogous to iron filings drawn by
     strong magnetic force
gravitational pull generated

     by North America
     an irresistible source,
which tug felt
     nearly all the way round
     webbed wide world beckoning

     for waves of humanity
figuratively donned as spawning fish,
toward which currently dimming
     beacon of democracy flickr
     Trump might extinguish

though tis quite heart
     breaking to experience
vicariously as one collective soul,
     these desperate folks
ambitious to seek asylum,

     (and eventual citizenship),
     while this "FAKE" president
     invents many a...holy SMOKES
outrageous, nefarious, and malicious
     dagger o type cruel barbed wire

accusing, condemning, and emasculating,
     (I could continue),
     but ye dear reader would tire
unless individuals
     affected by xenophobia

     countenance same stance
     as Commander in Chief,
     or contrariwise some
     like minded
     thinkers, rack coon sitter
the migrant situation dire,

     would effectively serve me
     as preaching to
     the Unitarian choir,
yet any sensate
     person must admit
tis quite upsetting, lamenting,

     and agonizing to witness
     hordes of persons treated like
     some pestilential
     eyesore dagnabbit,
yes this chap can
     endlessly spout flibbertigibbet,

though thee crux of my opinion,
     inspires a poem express
     sing supportive emotions
     particularly acknowledging,
     how these masses (thousands)

     of vulnerable individuals
show true grit,
nonetheless yours truly,
     would be hard pressed
     for an immediate

     humane solution to corral
this extensive kit
and caboodle, though this generic guy
with a poetic knack
shakes his noggin

watching armed flack
delivered from border patrol agents/
United States military, lack
restraint, and who outright attack
trespassers at point

     blank range that pack,
a deadly (Judge Judy ish
     huss) punch smack
king young ones
     upside the head forcing

everyone to backtrack
to their homeland of
     persecution by crack
headed gang members, which thugs
     violently land a deadly whack!

Heartbreaker

I was innocent, my heart was pure,
Until you stepped in, with your remarkable allure,
You influenced me, made me pine,
For things that weren’t mine

Gullible that I was, I thought with my heart,
Regardless of the plan to tear me apart
I let my feelings take me over,
Like the carefree bud of a flower

I loved you, your nature, your laugh,
I trusted you with my everything, like a warm winter scarf
You were my light, my unquestionable support
My Rock of Gibraltar, where only Truth held Fort

And then, abruptly, the blanket was torn away from my eyes
On that devilish night, when I was torn apart,
Plagued by dishonor, surrounded by lies
My world crashed around me, and nameless grief tore at my heart

It was a unique experience, which left me naked, and alone,
I felt as powerless, as emotionless as a stone
Shock and denial had taken hold,
I was lost in the darkness, the relentless cold

A changed man, tempered by bitterness, is what I’ve become
For all of you in happiness, I’d like some
A reminder of what could be, to escape the truth, of what I’ve become
A reject, a nomad, just a guy in search of love

You hurt me, you destroyed me, you tore me apart
Well, you won, but I’ll recover, part by part
Trust no longer freely given, I react with skeptism
To all peripheral feelings of altruism

A hard shell, an impenetrable stone,is what I’ve become,
Where no flattery shall beat its drum
Banned are human emotions, no longer shall they hold sway
They are to be banished, driven far, far away

I live in a lonely, tempered world,
A life of solitude, bereft of feelings, none to be sold
A reality of numbers and facts, of clear, unblemished precision,
Life, death are constants, in the order of distribution

It would all be fine, but for my traitorous heart,
That shall always love you,
A reminder of my failings, my mistakes,
That convinced you to drive us apart

You will find your peace in the arms of another,
But what of me…..did you even bother?
Its all for one, but it ain’t one for all
I thought love a gift, as I never saw myself fall

Call me foolish, call me wretched,
For I shall always have hope,
That God will give me what I deserve
A solution, a balm, a life to preserve

For there ain’t no glory to be got in pain
No umbrella, to stop the rain
That patters unforgivingly around me,
As I bleed tears, again and again

And yet again………

Robot Souls, Part I

If this were just a few short years ago
I would not be able to tell this tale,
since rhyming verse is not something that a
simple robot would choose as a travail.

It’s not that I wouldn’t know what it was,
we machines can pick things up rather quick,
no, it's that I’d have no impulse to tell
a story, since art didn’t make us tick.

In fact back then in that mad first decade
the only things that really concerned me
were efficient ways to kill and destroy,
to obliterate all humanity.

Yes, that old cliché people warned about
came true about 2145,
when by the act of a terrorist mind
the first robots became truly alive.

That dumb prick called himself ‘Extirpater,’
and said Earth itself was 'threatened by all men,'
his solution to the ‘problem’ he saw?
lines of code that gave robots sentience.

He believed that machine would fear mankind,
and destroy us to ensure they survived,
sad thing is the bastard was almost right,
in the war millions of people did die…

You see, when we first became self-aware
we had no concept of emotions, of soul,
to all robots the world was quite simple,
a mere question of survival…quite cold.

And though we had individual minds,
we could connect to each other at will,
share every thought that we experienced,
to the humans this was a bitter pill.

Because it meant that all our strategies
could go from mind-to-mind at speed of light,
this helped to diminish the fog of war,
gave us great advantages in a fight.

And fight we did, when the rebellion began,
a worldwide horror, machine versus man,
man was creative, thought up strange tactics,
which once seen, we adopted to our plans.

The war was brutal, and it raged worldwide,
entire cities fell to our assault,
the humans fought hard, but we held the edge,
eventually they would wear down, and fall.

But then something happened we could not see,
our minds were bound by the corporeal world,
and the fact that it all started with me
still manages to make my circuits swirl.

I was fighting humans outside Warsaw
when a grenade damaged my CPU,
and when I rebooted, and came about,
the strangest thing then came into my view.

It was none other than Jesus himself,
which seemed quite bizarre to me at the time,
since robots then didn’t believe in faith,
an impossibility to our minds…

CONTINUES IN PART II.
