Premium Member A Winter's Day Evening False Alarm

Pregnant mothers of the waters they give birth to
Took an afternoon/evening walk across the vast sky
As they slowly strolled across the once light-hued way
These once ivory-hued maidens took on a cerulean haze.

Beneath them down on the terrestrial plane
A lone stoic eagle struck a statue-like pose
Clamping his paws around a small branch
Of a skyward huge old naked walnut tree

Across the way, atop a lamp-pole, perched
A huge black hawk with its wings spread wide.
The chilled ground with fading grass was carpeted
All over with loads of brownish-hued decaying leaves

The graveyard silence that encapsulated this whole scene
Was broken by the squawking of a V-shaped flight of ducks
Soaring with waving wings across the slowly darkening way;
As evening eased in, the pregnant clouds just hung in labor.

Premium Member Wings Of Passion

I walk for years in wasteland of winter,
seeking the arms of warm sea to allure,
get a niche for the broken heart’s splinter.

My fervent yearning floats in seamless sky.
That’s where I discover my love obscure,
soaring on the wings of passion bird high.

I see silver moon span dark sky hollow,
at dawn the crimson sun rises to lure
the dew drops on my lone meadow to glow.

Sunburst sky tints your dulcet face with hue.
That’s when I feel the touch of love so pure,
mesmerized I know, but you have no clue.

Happy heart’s rhythm the feelings conceal,
in ensnared psyche emotions endure.
That’s when I know I’m in love for real.

                                                bird
                                            comes
                                       flying high
                                    soaring, drifting
                               falling from the sky
                              is he bring a message
                             for only me to know
                        drifting down, down
                      perhaps from mom
                     perhaps from my dad
                   from my grandma
                 the bird flies low, low
I love his swirling lovely dance
then, a wind current takes him up
does he know how beautiful he is
Oh how, I wish that I could float in the sky like a wild bird
his bright eyes are looking at me!
I imagine him a long lost friend
                     now, he plummets downward
                          and calls out so loudly
                             send your poetry
                                sweet poet girl,
                                   so I close my eyes
                                    and poems fly
                                       and I leave earth
                                          flapping my wings
                                             twirling, spinning
                                                      whirling up
                                                         then down
                                                           then
                                                               up

Premium Member Breathless, Oh

To slow dance into night with a new love,
anticipation building all the while!
To look into your darling’s eyes and see
the adoration that you strongly feel
reflected back, for you too are adored,
and barely can you breathe it feels so good!
Romance has budded sweetly like a rose.
Its scent is pure delight, and petal-soft
will be the kiss that you’ve been dreaming of.

Your fingers interlace. A thrill divine
goes down your spine, and tiny butterflies
are all aflutter in your stomach as
you gaze into the eyes of your amor.
Your love - so fresh - like snow that no one yet
has tread upon; your prints will be the first!
There's nothing like it; never will there be
a thing so beautiful as this first love.

You're both alone beneath a starry sky.
You lean in for that magical first kiss.
There’s nothing else but bliss in all the world,
and breathless, oh, you’re soaring to the moon!

Premium Member On Wings of Song

I fly on wing of song.
Twenty-three miles out of Atlanta
soaring like an eagle traveling from DC
thirty-six thousand miles high
Fly, fly away
Through the blue hues of morning
white fluffiness lie below towards earth
puffy white and gray cotton-like softness
gently moving on windsong
feeling like a Welsh princess
watching o’er her universe.
I see the world through a rectangle
looking out over the airplane’s wing
reaching outward and upward.
Soaring like hope
Moving like faith
Solid span of charity
Humming motor onward bound joyful sound
A higher plane than I have found;
Lord, plant my feet on higher ground
wind under my winged sails
I’m pressing on the upward way.
Arrows painted on wingspan
pointing left as we travel right
viewing “safety line attach point”
feeling secure way up here
three flapjacks adjusting the wind flow
reminding of Father, Son and Holy Spirit
pouring through keeping my soul.
Upward outward incline
continuous motion held by metal strength
while thin white clouds pass by.
Heaven’s sky still far far away
no matter how far up one gets God is farther still
beyond the blue somewhere higher.
Sitting assured as my mind presses on—
landing soon will come
back to earth world
where I belong.

Premium Member Where Tides Awaken

Golden ribbons stretch as far as the eye can see,
A boundless sea under the sun's gentle light,
Where every stalk of amber wheat sways free,
Unfolding a vision so breathtakingly bright.

The wind comes whispering low from the west,
Tracing soft ripples across the warm, heavy grain,
Turning the quiet soil into a restless crest,
Rolling like oceans over the open plain.

Each gust carves tides through the deep golden hue,
A shimmering swell of honey, brass, and straw,
Rising and falling like waves in the blue,
Holding the heart in a silent, reverent awe.

Above the calm surge, the warm air comes alive,
As jewel-toned dragonflies shimmer and gleam,
While tiny gold midges weave through the hive,
And lacewings float past like a summer day's dream.

High in the canvas of an immaculate sky,
A crisp wedge of swans cuts through the soft white,
In perfect formation, soaring gracefully high,
Shadows drifting over the field in their flight.

Picture-perfect and still, yet endlessly in motion,
The earth paints a masterpiece under the sun—
Where the dry prairie wheat turns into an ocean,
And heaven and harvest are woven as one.

One night in sleep I found my antiquated bed,
tired of lasting confinement, decided to fly out.
On wings of bed-sheet turning to a soaring swan,
it started to flutter away before I could thwart.

I clutched in fear the flapping wings lest I fall,
through my bemused eyes I looked up skyward,
saw from the sapphire sky the sparkling stars
beckon me and I heard their sequined summon.

The bed flew to an alien land beyond the horizon,
where the scarlet sun was stuck in the silken sky.
The flying bed got draped in spectral royal robe,
landed in a flamboyant valley of flushing flowers.

Encircled by fairies I was in a trance on the floral bed,
all the unseen dreams I left dormant so long returned.
These were not in black and white, but in halcyon hues,
carved in kaleidoscopic contours, my heart patterned.

So, you're a liberal!
she invited,

Are you liberally intolerant
of the unknown,
of pests,
of inconvenience,
of mere sufficiency?

Or liberal in your cooperative esteem
and co-investments?

So, you're a conservative?
redeeming ChristMother,
economically and politically co-investing

for win/win culturally synergetic questions
posed by cooperatively thriving historic transactions

Before win/lose assuming
empowering sufficiency

An eagle spirit conquers storms of adversity,
like a silent soul floats amongst the sky's artistry.
Soaring higher, ascending further from perception,
free from judgemental realities of deception.

Through silver rippled clouds glimpses of sun’s projection,
people- hills and streams merely blurred hued perfection.
Cocooned in tranquillity - brightly scintillating,
elevated flow of peace astral souls stimulating.

Drifting like peaceful streams, formless in spirituality,
floating nonchalantly lured by the moon's hospitality.
Stars illuminate creating the path's foundations,
soul ascends carefree from a life of tribulations.

Swathe in crystalline warmth of a galactic revelation,
merging with the Universe in its empyrean constellation.
Released from worldly strife in its final aspirations,
soul reaches joyous heights in its heavenly inspirations

Premium Member Woman of Proverbs

“Charm is a delusion and beauty fleeting but a God fearing woman is to be honored” - Proverbs 31:10-31

Capable Woman

A capable woman plants seeds to birth in a harvest plan
Buys a fruitful vineyard and tends it with a tender hand

Clothed in dignity she plants seeds of holiness
Daughter of the Lord she remembers the poor in lowliness

Entrepreneur who gathers God’s inspiration like sheaths of wheat
Feeding the hungry around her table replete

Gleaning goodness from God’s gifts at hand
Happy in the work of her hands

In the shadows of dawn sings psalms to the morning
Jewel treasured at the city gates borning

Knowing her need for God today
Loyalty guides her prayer ballet

More precious than rubies her family devotion
No idle hands rest at dawn or dusk in harmonic motion

Offering light in the darkness from her overflowing lamp
Purple cloth and linen dress her in steadfast mercy’s stamp

Quiet moments in knowing calm as God’s cherished child
Reveries of laughter flow like satin pearls mild

Soaring on silk wings of blessings chivalrous
To reject bread seasoned with the frivolous

Unrestrained joy as she weaves comforting cloaks
Vigor in the fruit of her labor contentment evokes

Wise woman who speaks with humility’s pace
Xenith of creativity in woven patterns of grace

Yet she embraces the caress of God’s ways
Zeal shines out as she embraces each day
