When I was 12 weeks pregnant
my husband and I found out news
News that would change our lives
Shake our entire foundation.

My first son
my loved
Wanted
Long-waited for child
had local exstrophy
During what we thought was a routine checkup
We found out that his lower abdominal wall had not formed correctly
He had a mass as big as his head between his little legs
In the ultrasound
I could barely see his legs because of it
His tiny feet were already clubbed
His spinal cord was tethered
The doctor told us he would never walk or have a functioning bladder
A week later
The situation worsened
We found out his kidneys weren’t working
His lungs wouldn’t develop
After eagerly preparing for our first son
My husband and I
Found out he would die by suffocation upon delivery
If he survived that long
Faced with horrible and difficult odds
My husband and I did what we knew
What was best for our son
Our family
We made the decision to end the pregnancy through abortion
My husband and I loved our first son and wanted him dearly
We named him Thomas
I will forever mourn him
The decision to have an abortion challenged my beliefs around life
My faith
But I have never for a second doubted
This was the right thing to do for myself
My family
Especially Thomas

HE'S A TURN AROUND GOD-

My Lord My God
Has step into my situation;
My God is mine firm foundation;
He has a divine encounter on me
He has broken those chains off me;

Now I believe I am turnt around
He’s a turnaround god
He’s a turnaround God
He’s a will when there ain’t no way
Best be believing as you pray
My God is a turnaround god
Hallelujah and Amen

My Daddy Elohim so created me
Placed me out of captivity Has step into my situation;
My God is mine freedom;
His Son Jesus is my redeemer
He has broken them those chains off  of me;

Now I believe I am turnt around
He’s a turnaround god
He’s a turnaround God
He’s a will when there ain’t no way
Best be believing as you pray
My God is a turnaround god
Hallelujah and Amen

Premium Member The Perfect Life

In baseball there is an unwritten rule;
Whenever a pitcher is in the process of pitching a perfect game:
A game in which he has yet to give up a hit, has not walked a batter and no errors have been committed
His teammates do not talk to him; he does not mention it; and, everyone leaves him totally alone
For fear of jinxing the situation and being the cause of the end to his perfection.

Do not mistake my silence for contempt
Do not mistake my lack of self promotion for disdain
Do not mistake my isolation for loneliness

It is just that I am in the process of pitching a perfect life

I am in the late innings of my baseball game
I have been fortunate enough not to have been batted about by any opposition
I have not experienced the misfortune of having anyone walk all over me
And my mistakes have not resulted in someone advancing freely to another base
My perfect game is in tact

My only hope is – I have not jinxed that fact by writing this poem.

Batter up.

Premium Member Southern Hospitality and a Shot of Comfort

There is an aura for the moment looking gloom
Closing in on climatic resolution known as high noon
Weather was dealt the color grey
Heavy clouds outdoor on this day
Blocking the sun from peeking through
Temperatures hot relatively cool
Glaring distractions are wearing nature’s shades
School year ready to hand out final grades
But months earlier an invader came out from the mist
Tying socialization wrists
Being a star taking the stage
Putting the world in a household cage
A viral infection
Criminally contagious facing nation’s united rejection
Traveling the world Covid 19 threatened global protection
Eluded handcuffs reality not having any vaccine injection
When international health did its inspection
A sick situation projected to fizzle
During summer when the north sizzles
A southern pop
Where CDC acts like a cop
Wrote the screenplay strategizing how to make the pandemic stop
Forcing the apocalyptic mission attempt to be a box office flop
Today they will try to collect money
To combat this issue defined ‘not funny’
Four go fore the green
Setting a sporting interacting scene
An opportunity to raise funds
Using an entertaining spectacle when is done
Donors will clap for those that have won
Then as the sunsets
Fast autos will fire off their jets
Under the light signed off by the moon
Creating the thought the holiday is not ruined
Flashy, colorful and cool
Racing at Charlottes’ speedway NASCAR’s crown jewel
Six hundred miles they will speed
Making it southern hospitality roaring like the General Lee
Hopefully, the Sunday message will be comprehended
No need to be defended
When staring at the military graves in rank and file
Knowing yesterday ended with Coca Cola and a smile

Premium Member The Last of the Romantics

With my dear spouse I'm very much in love.
'Tis truly a union sealed in heaven above!
O'er the years we've traveled a lot and seen many things.
We've watched our family grow and the joy that it brings!

For her wedding ring, this poor boy bought the best he could afford.
Alas, the stone was so minute, when she saw it she was floored!
She twirled it on her finger, saying "Surely you jest!"
Even my future mother-in-law was not overly impressed!

I promised her that one-day I would purchase a larger stone,
When funds were more plentiful and my chagrin I could atone!
I remedied that situation nigh our fiftieth anniversary as I recall,
But for some reason she was not thrilled with my solution at all!

I arranged to have a HUGE stone placed on our cemetery plot!
This was a terrible case of bad timing that she has never forgot!
She said, "That's not exactly the kind of stone I had in mind!"
(I thought it a favor for easing the pain should she be left behind!)

We now laugh about that escapade that has become family lore,
And o'er the years I've tried to atone by giving her diamonds galore!
I've been called the last of the romantics and I suppose that is so.
Shucks! I'd get her the Hope Diamond if I had enough dough!

Reality

The rain never falls forever
The sun will shine again

The pain will not last forever
With time it will all go away

The suffering won't last forever
There will always be a brighter day

Every moment that we face has it's time in the cycle of life
Each situation that we go through has its purpose in life

Whether it's a lesson to learn from or something to make us stronger
But at the end of it all you will realise that everything happens for a reason

Don't lose hope, Keep the faith
Keep believing, Keep working hard

Never give up and keep striving for what you want in life

There can be no victory without sacrifice

Premium Member Resist

I start the day with a simple hello

I can see he’s ignoring it, though

Good intentions but now I’m low

He’s always gonna resist

I make a request to stop by

But he’s too private of a guy

I hang my head low and sigh

He’s always gonna resist

These conversations feel so hollow

We once were deep, but now shallow

Now I’m off to cry and wallow

He’s always gonna resist

I must not ask for a date

I won’t get one at this rate

It must be my fate to wait

He’s always gonna resist

Independence is all he will seek

True feelings he will never speak

This situation looks mighty bleak

He’s always gonna resist

I want to show how I care

But I know I mustn’t dare

For he is one to easily scare

He’s always gonna resist

Death of a Lover

Once there was a Love so blissful and colorful
Every word that uttered forever are truthful
Sweet caressing soothing sensation
whisper melodies for relaxation

Over the years of a beautiful relation
Never came a sad story in the situation
Foreverloved everything is meaningful
Memorabillas are all unforgettable

But life of all is really unstable
One must go to his destination
We all go under in different time and horizon
Love will remain but life is not stretchable

You touched me in a most special way
waked me with a beautiful sunshine
Unbelievable that we became sinful
Forbidden love i know you are mine

I want to sacrifice to make your life whole
If only i can give my breath to your soul
For now i must give my faithful vow
In front of cold body of my loving man!

May 2 Relationship to God Bible Meditations Based on Nehemiah 1-4

Key Verse – Nehemiah 1:11 O Lord, I beseech thee, let now thine ear be attentive to the prayer of thy servant, and to the prayer of thy servants, who desire to fear thy name: and prosper, I pray thee, thy servant this day, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man…

LORD GOD, YOU ARE MY ATTENTIVE PRAYER LISTENER

Lord God, You are my attentive prayer Listener midst reproaching affliction
Thank You for bringing me to Your beseeching mercy and love’s consolation
Always cheering me to overcome stressful situation
By Your joy of salvation.

Lord God, You are my attentive prayer Listener midst afflicting sinfulness
Thank You for granting me answers to my requests’ earnestness
Always healing me from sorrow-causing sickness
By Your welfare-seeking helpfulness.

Lord God, You are my attentive prayer Listener midst consuming pride
Thank You for strengthening me against doubts that deride
Always allowing me to progress in my holiness’ stride
By Your power to overcome challenges that have me tried.

Lord God, You are my attentive prayer Listener midst hindering delays
Thank You for upholding me so I can give You sincere praise
Always restoring me toward revival ways
By Your protecting grace.

Lord God, You are my attentive prayer Listener midst scorning humanism-blight
Thank You for checking me against secularism’s might
Always teaching me what is biblically right
By Your Word that shows Your truth so bright.

Lord God, You are my attentive prayer Listener midst attacking misery
Thank You for fighting for me against deceiving adversary
Always pulling me from feebleness’ fury
By Your counsel for my victory.

Lord God, You are my attentive prayer Listener midst besieging burdens
Thank You for propelling me labor and harvest in fruitfulness’ gardens
Always sanctifying me against bitterness that hardens
By Your mercy which peacefully gladdens.

Hala Everytime

Hala everytime
Too long of keeping silence cant
Do us any better any more Too long we keep hopeing and believing
Yet our situation never change oh africans
He that wears the shoe feels the pain the most
So when the burden sims too harder please hala

Hala everytime
Too long we have been so quite to what really matters to our life's
For in reality we can't stand up for our right any longer
What could be the reason behind our silent
Cos i know our mouths are not close with gums
Either are we freezen like an ice block
Yet upon all what we suffer we keep calm like a cold *****
So when the burden sims too harder please hala

Hala everytime
The world is full of too many highly ignorant souls
Sadly the most of them are found on most staffs of power
I see how they look innocent in the presence of their people
Is funny how things are too raw and sow among us
Yet they keep bragging of their illusive success
Their lies is seen all over our lifes
So when their so called change hits you so hard please hala

Hala everytime
Hala for you got one life to live
Hala for you are not a slave
Hala cos it could weak up a sleeping lion
Hala please hala everytime
Everytime when you see their lies
Everytime when their pains are only what is left to live for
Hala Everytime for your life
Hala everytime for the next generation to come
Hala everytime for you are a human being
So when ever the world is down on you
Never ever forget to
Hala everytime
