The mere thought of you
makes my heart speak
I reach for you with no memory
of ever being without you
my mind wander within this space
my soul's a galaxy of your haze
replacing the gentle hues
with a magnificent enrichment
craving my inner most thought
I'm tangled in you manhood
gathering life's essence desiring
man embracing the warmness
of your touch the melancholy rapture
gazing over forgiveness capturing
acceptance loving you just as you are
change nothing in my sight
for I may be driven to explore
other shores preoccupied by your
masculine energy mastering
this son of man son of god
moving over the tyrannies
of haste morbidly leaving me
in ah the purity of our passion
tainted only by time the vintage
wines bestowing my beauty
soothing every line from the
nape of my neck to the small
of my back the silkiness of my legs
the sculpture of your ribs the form
of your arms around my waist
I shiver and quake patiently
awaiting your arrival opening
my sensual self above the hidden
moon as clouds fill the heavenly sky
I search for you always by and by
written by Mrs. Yolanda Joy Nicholsen
"Here she rests- my beautiful white rose-
on her white bed of satin- in repose."
_by Poet
I picked a pure white rose from the bouquet
beside her coffin that September morn.
Its velvet petals, soft and smooth, portrayed
the silkiness that her dear face retained
asleep at peace for all eternity.
Its petals, flared in full array, framed by
the vibrant, verdant leaves surrounding them;
all bonded by a straight and sturdy stem
which I held up with numb and trembling hands-
to press against my broken, aching heart.
Oh, dear white rose, your lovely purity-
so mirrored that pure love- Mom shared with me.
Ooh, how he loved
sliding his hands
over the long silkiness,
the youthful curves
of his new wife,
over the negligee
before it rode up…
anticipation like driving a new car -
not comparable,
I know,
and at odds,
depending on
whether you are for the wife
or the car.
Ooh, how he loved sliding his hands
over the hood,
the caps,
the hips,
the back.
He loved the mirrors -
those on
the side or over the bed.
He handled his new ride with care,
the caress with smiles to impress.
The leather new, the scent
of Mon Paris Eau de Parfum.
He’s not a poet, notices not
the moon, sun or stars,
but he can feel his way
in the dark.
“Spoke”
Could wilderness
be paradise?
Silence arrives.
The winds of change
caress the silkiness
of kiss from pain
through the taste of tears, pink,
soft the tongue stretches
feels along what remains vacant
novocaine numb inside,
fire dreams burning fierce,
somehow still remain
salty the wound
stings carry courage forward
rolling on words without wheels
along velvet streets
in the hearts
of two, not spoke
Felt, the love like warm caramel
sticks along rough roads
hard driven
ankles, arms and stories twisted
from deep potholes
and glass shards of others strewn
walked barefoot
from cracked
and broken mirrors
bleeding pearls stolen,
taken
too soon
drawn deep from within
the roots of the heart
of child and mother
skin and teeth
torn and lost
cherry red life's ocean
now in this moment
baptismal
stills the waters
yielding
trust and belief
in oneself
a calling,
victory remains
for girls so brave
unidentified
they are their own phenomena
Ezekiel wheels
golden and turning,
becoming,
heards corralled
their wings
spreading
beating like angels
spoken from cavern
of mouth unclaimed
love hides in the spaces left
for the blessed ones
to remember courage
worn forever in the blue genes
strange heroes evoked;
from purity inside,
the soul is never shunned
to smile through the hurt
to live again, to win
recognized entry
into their own
kingdoms
the child turns
towards her eyes
twin jades seen perpetual
in a mirror unwavering,
known,
no spokes
the mother
believes in her
always
she says
take life, to win
arise
begin again

Bloom or bouquet or bunch or bare brief buttonhole,
Fresh or full-blown or nosegay or fresh posy role;
Flowers blossom in saucy slimy silkiness,
Seek them to be the same, is senile silliness.
Red-necked Tanager cannot be Mandarin duck,
Let blue-crowned pigeon be not a Cock-of-the-rock;
Why should Sloth bear resemble the Asian lion,
Blue bull and blackbuck be of their sacred scion...
Why should violate violet from the Rainbow?
Why should waters of rivers always in green flow?
Why should be a dragonfly, like a firefly glow?
Why should bright tigers, like monkeys, gloomy fur grow?
Do not say she's fair; her eyes cattish; hair golden,
Vein greenish; Blood-red; Heart dull or tiger-Bolden;
He is chocolate; Great! What a coco-color!
Cut flesh is whitish! Blood like hers! Physique Splendor!
Sands of sea-shores have so finely shining colors,
Stars have strange colors - flying like royal mullers;
Gardens, Parks, Forests, deserts, coastally global
Each filled with colors sublime fantastic, noble...
Yes, the cosmos is a kaleidoscope. Accept!
Everyone's a unique color in it. Respect!
Kaleidoscopic color, like Artesian, springs,
It's in this kaleidoscope our existence swings.

Forgive me my beloved, if I love you too much,
obdurate emotions yearn for your tender touch.
Remembering the time I first heard your voice,
excited senses were intoxicated without a choice.
Vulnerable hearts merged to feel spiritually akin,
enraptured souls danced in delight from within.
Reciting romantic revelations like a mandolin.
Infatuated eyes adore the majesty of your grace,
nothing can compare to the silkiness of your face.
You ignite passions that burn like a flamboyant fire,
only you hold the key to unlock my devotional desire.
Unalterable sensations keep flowing through my veins,
rare, radiant, ravishing rose you soothe all my pains.
Every beat of my heart is a constant echo of your name,
you are my sacred soul mate and amaranthine twin flame.
ever since we connected my words are clearer in definition,
sheltering our unique love is now my sole eternal mission
I love the silkiness of your long raven hair,
as the sweet scent of your perfume permeates the air.
Your eyes sparkle so brightly in your beautiful face,
with brilliance of diamonds in a jewelry store case.
Your attractive body is what I long to caress,
as I could imagine it under your scanty dress.
Mature form of sugar and spice and everything nice.
However, my key in your lock comes at a high price!
When I pass you each night, I can’t help looking at you;
as so many others on Pacific Avenue.
You possess nectar that so many men want to taste.
What you’re doing with it all is a terrible waste!

reigning over the smudges I tossed
crimsons and violets and fuchsias galore...
merging together to form a tree bark hue
the deepening browns often relate the most~
unique and fertile as the shades can ever become
wild and bitter like lattes blended with vanilla
down to earth and relaxed as a warm light source
making my skin go reddened and vibrant
like parakeets nesting in trunks and serenading
or moss clinging to nearby marble, discovering a home
sort of like a fashion statement, a mild accessory
but these browns won't linger in silhouettes
just keep me pacified and add to soft ambiance
while aiding to the beauty of belonging
and the silkiness of softness which surrounds us~
The concert had been perfect ...
Chaka and Al Jarreau on the grass at Foxwoods
A dry and warm July evening
Sleepy full moon peeking up over the horizon
(As if checking to make sure the jealous sun had set)
Then rising ever-so-cautiously
Like a gold doubloon tossed in slow-motion
We drove to Prospect Park and climbed the hill with a blanket
Laying it out when we reached the top
Then sitting down to watch the lights of Boston
There was a tangible magic in the air
One of those nights when something grand speaks to your deepest being
Telling you that for this rare and precious moment
(A moment that could stretch to forever)
All was right in the Universe, and nothing would or could go wrong
Thirty years ago, yet I remember every detail
The way her fingers filled the spaces in mine as we ran up the hill
The scent of her Je Reviens perfume
Mixing with the aroma of newly-mown grass
The exquisite silkiness of her tan Taiwanese skin
Her raven hair hanging around her face like a dark halo
Spicy, luscious chili pepper lips tugging mine
Quiet but intense little sighs of pleasure and encouragement
And her eyes ... oh her eyes, like cool-and-glassy mountain pools at night
The distant lights of the city shimmering softly within
Swimming in the dreamy depths of her gaze
Like the fireflies that swam in the air around us
Telling me all I needed to know, all the things her body spoke to me
The soul-deep-and-sexy things that my body answered ...
Sweet ... vulnerable ... delirious.

Sea surreal in darkest nets
Nocturnal-ness in jaws and tentacled breasts
still the thrill, breathless at my thoughts
the sea - a catch
The sea a catch, oh my stars
that settle like flickering candles
on tremulous waves
The sway, the dance, oh
the romance of candlelight
aboard the deck of dopamine
I resist the thought
that I’m in-between
cruise ala royal dreams
The drift of ebb and flow
I fly so slow, slipping
undertow, envisioning
serpents and maids
I’m made for the sea
See my tales splash
flibberty-thrashing
about in a net
netting the seashell gold
of surf and turf
sweet sands that tug
my eyes and heart
I blink
back tears
When will we see each other
‘gain, this match
of tenderness and angst
Let the torrents roar
Let the sides capsize
Let me touch your silkiness
your depths
your traps
of playfulness. The reader
must think me silly
as I surrender to the crests
and climb aboard
to see the sea
and sky collide
I’m given over
and under
in thunderous claps
to sated and salted
direct attack
of anything that might arrest
my joy
my exploration
my destination
my ploy
to dream without danger…
