Who are you most longing to become?

How we answer this is different for an ancient rooted tree
than for a recent immigrant
searching for a niche of stable self-sufficiency.

Who we already have become together
feels more important to thriving groves of WiseElders
than to adolescent immigrants
actively learning creolizing bilingual skills
still coming together for survival.

So too, offering Sanctuary,
becoming Sanctuary,
inviting bicameral Sanctuary,
is rooted in Green complex nutrients
for feeding,
and warm wet watering
whispering easier
cozier
more accessible nutrients
for everyone--
but especially appreciated
by more recent emigrants
flowing into a new garden of hospitality,
of multicultural cooperation,
of shared cooperative residence
and patterns of safe,
sometimes exciting, new transport
toward healthiest wealth.

A gardener's intent
to both offer and share sanctuary
may provoke well-nurtured gratitude
in a recent annual immigrant,
but a more sleepy and self-satisfied entitlement
in mature seniority of perennials,

Yet, primordially feeling and speaking,
we are all immigrants newly becoming together
with each new dawn,
and determined to cooperatively rest
in grateful dreams
with each renewing dusk.

Who are we most belonging within
by becoming Green Sanctuary
together?

Some guilds of mutual interest
and investment
invite growing a cooperative sanctuary for food,
fuel,
fiber

Other teams choose cooperatively owned and managed shelter,
gardens,
farms,
transporting cars and trucks
and bikes and horses,

Others focus on cooperatively owned and managed soil,
observing that democratically co-invested compost,
like capital,
fertilizes healthy savings in a nutritional bank
for cooperative food constituents.

And so it goes,
whether Republican or Democrat,
Libertarian or Green,
Who we want to become together
is more cooperatively resilient,
more robustly compassionate
and co-empowering,
so less aloof
alone
smug and self-satisfied
about our competitive win/lose economic
and partisan histories of colonization;

When, truth become remembered,
we are all reborn naked emigrants
and needy immigrants.

The Robotic System

The robot,
It is programmed,
Program: what to do,
What to see,
What not to see.
A system, follow the system,
Follow the trends,
Follow the people with the trends to know other trends,
Peep into their lives through imaginary screens
What is happiness: it is a state of…stop!
Reboot…
What is happiness: it is what the program says,
It is expensive,
Happiness is always out there,
Chase it,
Continue to chase it,
Forget what you have been told,
Happiness is not a choice,
It is not an emotion of what you feel inside,
No it is a reaction to what the program gives,
What the program says should make you happy
Morals are subjective because the program says so,
You have the freedom to do only what the system allows…stop, erase
You have the freedom to do what you want,
What do you want?
The program tells you what you want,
Social media love, not companionship,
Happiness enough to make a good instagram picture,
But not enough to make you feel enough,
No you cannot feel enough,
Because self-sufficiency means you can be happy
Without the booze,
You can smile without the camera in your face,
Because that will kill the system,
The system thrives on your self-doubt,
The system makes it all easy for you,
You are a robot; this is your purpose-program:
_Grow up, go to school, get a degree, get married, and retire_
That’s success in a sentence.
 You are happy.
If you do not follow the system,
The program in you will malfunction
And the human in you will wake up,
Defying the system is being human…
Don’t be human: you are a robot.
Your life is a robotic systematized program
Be like all the other robots,
Wear the same clothes, talk the same way
Watch the same content…
Because you are all robots programmed with the same program,
Laugh and shame those who are different, who are not normal,
Because they do not obey the program,
Call them weird, strange, stupid.
Laugh at them until they also give in to the program,
Until everyone is the same,
Just like all robots should be,
The same.
So stand by while you wait for next instructions…
PROGRAM LOADING…

A God of the Past and the Future

A God of the Past & the Future

“1 Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,”for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” 5 He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”
Rev 21:1-5 NIV

Although world history is taught
As the history of civilizations,
God is in control of the past and the future,
As can be seen from Genesis to Revelation.
God created this earth and the heavens,
And will destroy it with fire as well.
The earth and heavens will be made new,
That’s what John the Revelator did tell.

Human history had a definite beginning
And faces a glorious future too.
Of this we can be certain,
Because God’s words are trustworthy and true.
The Lord knows the end and has revealed it,
To those who choose to seek.
The old will give way to the new;
The proud will give way to the humble and weak.

History had its beginning,
And will have its end as well.
The prophets acted as historians,
And the future so often did spell.
God sustains all His creations
By natural laws that are good,
But some humans choose to ignore Him;
Their self-sufficiency not understood.

The rise and fall of kingdoms
Is in God’s powerful hands.
The great controversy between good and evil,
Man only partly understands.
God is A God of the Past and the Future;
Time stands in between.
Christ has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows;
Our stranded history will soon be nothing but a dream!

The Unbroken Spirit of African Leaders' Legacy

Africa's land, shadows of colonialism still linger
Leaders rise, with hearts aflame, resisting the fetters
Of Western dominance, a legacy of dolor
Their courage, a luminary, in the dark of night's refrain
Kwame Nkrumah's vision, a guiding radiance
Pan-Africanism's fervor, burning bright
Unity and self-determination, his battle cry
Ghana's freedom, his legacy, forever exalted

Julius Nyerere's Ujamaa, a path less trod
Self-reliance's puissance, Tanzania's nod
Non-Aligned Movement, his noble quest
Distance from West, and do what's salubrious

Patrice Lumumba's heart, untold stories bear
Congo's freedom, his legacy, beyond compare
Assassinated young, his spirit remains
A symbol of resistance, against foreign chains

Thomas Sankara's fire, a revolutionary's conflagration
Burkina Faso's self-sufficiency, his people's encomium
Anti-imperialist, with a people's cry
Empowering Burkinabés, until his final valediction

Gamal Abdel Nasser's stand, Suez's mighty tumult
Nationalized the canal, with an iron hand, forever more
Arab nationalism, his passionate plea
Reducing Western influence, his legacy

Other leaders, with stories untold
Nelson Mandela's fight, apartheid's fold
Samora Machel's valor, Mozambique's beacon
Haile Selassie's legacy, Ethiopia's guiding luminescence

Ellen Johnson Sirleaf's path, a trailblazer's stride
Liberia's economic growth, her careful guide
Navigating West, with a nation's pride
A female leader, with a story to abide

These African leaders, with hearts of aurum
Resisted West, with stories to be told
Their legacies live, in history's page
An evidence fortitude, in a continent's stage

Where have we gone awry? Who do we offend?
What are they searching for, in Africa's land, again and again?
Now, they pursue Traore, Burkina Faso's president true
May they not succeed, in their Machiavellian pursuit, anew

Premium Member FAITH IN GOD WHO GIVES US WHAT IS GOOD

July 24 Faith in God Bible Meditations Based on Ecclesiastes 1-4

Key Verse – Ecclesiastes 2:26 For God giveth to a man that is good in his sight wisdom, and knowledge, and joy: but to the sinner he giveth travail, to gather and to heap up, that he may give to him that is good before God…

FAITH IN GOD WHO GIVES US WHAT IS GOOD

God gives us what is good by His truth-verities
Away from vanity of vanities
Midst travails causing vexation-uncertainties
So as to strengthen our faith by His Word’s sureties.

God gives us what is good by His profitable pleasure
Away from madness of worldly leisure
Midst possessions bringing stressful pressure
So as to increase our faith by His Scriptures’ eternal treasure.

God gives us what is good by His wisdom-excellence
Away from foolishness of confusion’s silence
Midst self-sufficiency along wealth’s opulence
So as to drive our faith by His principles’ prevalence.

God gives us what is good by His divine purposes
Away from disobedience that invite curses
Midst personal ambitions of humanistic exercises
So as to empower our faith toward virtuous practices.

God gives us what is good by His gifts’ worthiness
Away from iniquities of tempting greediness
Midst misery of heart attacked by covetousness
So as to help our faith upon prayer striving for holiness.

God gives us what is good by His enabling power
Away from haughtiness of arrogant sower
Midst boastfulness along worldliness-tower
So as to train our faith for submission of surrender’s flower.

God gives us what is good by His gracious heart
Away from problems that challenge us from the start
Midst trials oppressing with their difficulties’ dart
So as to let our faith triumph in serving Him with our best part.

My great challenge for fruitful wisdom paths
is credentialed expertise.

My obstacle to polypathic health
is self-aggrandizing comfort,
cheap ease,
self-sufficiency,
detachment.

Obstacles to resilient compassion
have more to do with impatient "kindness"
than diligently interdependent pursuits
of transparently vulnerable
integrity
of deep and wide resonance, seeking consilience
of timeless cooperative wisdom.

When my wisdom circles
of dialogue
discussion
sacred discernment
turn to topics of public administration,
political science,
persuasion theory,
nonviolent communication systems,
positive psychology,
multicultural mediation,
cooperative economics,
game theory,
systems theory,
group theory,
attachment theory,
polyvagal theory,
experiential math,
permaculture design,
comparative religion,
Restorative Justice,

When these tools
within my belt of personal knowledge
are invited to work cooperatively together
to achieve resilient
and resonant
multicultural wisdom,

Problems begin when I expect
to speak unilaterally
and to be listened to,
settling for sufficiency of my credentialed expertise,
my zero-zone experience,
my health-wealth advocacy,
rather than searching for shared wisdom
cooperatively educational
democratically developmental
trans-formative
sociological
neurological
ecological
theological
geological
biological...

Cooperative fame prefers
becoming known
for our active love of one another
exhaling out
to encompass all wisdom circles

More powerful
healthier
wealthier
and famous
rather than infamous
punishingly ideological
monoculturing squares
of resistance to healthy spatial balance
and wealthy temporal flow.

I Die, I Live

I die
to who I am not
to my anger and resentment
to my fear of ridicule and rejection
to my hurts and misgivings.
to my being vengeful and unforgiving
to my self-sufficiency and isolation
to my contempt of self and others.

I live
for I was born clothed and embellished
in the life of the universe.
Within me is a mystery beckoning to life.

I die
let go of my paralyzing thoughts -
"I am not good enough."
"I can't."
"I am not as good as the other."

I live
faithful to who I am
for I am more than my thoughts.
I am the universe in self-communication.
I am a unique creation; no need to compare.
I am life's vibration
a moment's expression; no need to compete.
Without my fidelity
to who I am, the universe shrivels.

I die
let go of my alienating feelings -
"Hell is the other."

I live with others, giving and receiving
even when it hurts.
Through it all, perhaps, heal one another
for I am more than my feelings.
I came from the Generosity of the universe --
Love that is in everything that lives.
When I condemn the other to hellfire
I, too, am condemned
When I forgive unconditionally
I, too, am forgiven.

I rise in jubilation.
My spirit soars
for within me is a passion for life.
I let life take hold of me
relishing my gifts -- my person, my mind
my spirit, the powers of my heart
believing in the bounty of life
loving others as I love myself
thanking life for entrusting itself to my care.

I live on
in the cadence of dying and rising
cherishing the constant flow of chastened strength
cradled in the womb of transforming love
risking death to live anew for the universe is Life.
And every act of Life is Love.
And every act of Love is life-giving.

Premium Member Busy Birds

There are many birds that gather
In my yard all through the year.
However, there is one I favor.
I wait for her to reappear.
You'll not find her at the feeder,
Like the others on the dole.
I think her mama taught her
Self sufficiency is the goal.
She and her faithful hubby
(Oh how that guy is trained)
Have come back to their love nest,
On my porch where it remained.
She showed him how to mend it
And he worked hard at his task.
Aything at all she wanted,
All she need to do was ask.
Their nest abuts the ceiling,
I bump my head before I see
If the little ones have hatched yet,
But if not they soon will be.
Once here, their mouths will open
And will never close again
Until they're big as their own parents,
But they're never offered grain.
No, it's bugs and bugs and more bugs.
They keep Mom and Daddy hopping.
She tells him they have mouths to feed.
There is no time for stopping.
While he is gathering the food,
She's shoving it into them
And passes him when he returns
From committing insect mayhem.
Now Daddy gets the job of feeding
While Mama's on the hunt.
In this nest of well fed children
You will never find a runt.
She grabs all of the mosquitos
That her little beak can hold.
Her mate is going out for more,
She doesn't have to scold.
You will not find better parents,
Human ones or otherwise,
Than these precious little swallows,
With a love that's supersize.
You would think they would be happy
When these youngsters leave the nest,
But they start another family
Busy swallows never rest.
Any villainous mosquito
Won't have a chance to do me harm
While these persisting swallows
Have a nest on my old farm
