Premium Member HEART THAT CLEAVES TO GOD WHOSE ARM IS STRONG

June 13 Heart for God Bible Meditations Based on Job 40-42

Key Verse – Job 40:9 Hast thou an arm like God? or canst thou thunder with a voice like him?

HEART THAT CLEAVES TO GOD WHOSE ARM IS STRONG

Our heart cleaves to God Whose arm is strong against our self-righteousness
By His grace-fueled holiness
With His constant goodness
Along His supreme greatness for our humbleness.

Our heart cleaves to God Whose arm is strong against our self-glorying
By His mercy-propped steadfastness while in His will, we are staying
With His ready help that we are enjoying
Along His triumphant victory for our faith-trying.

Our heart cleaves to God Whose arm is strong against our self-pity
By His salvation-assured security
With His sacrifices’ bounty for our pardon certainty
Along His majestic sovereignty for our submission-sincerity.

Our heart cleaves to God Whose arm is strong against our self-exaltation
By His redemption-caused sanctification
With His Word’s immutability of pure perfection
Along His ruling power for our spiritual transformation.

Our heart cleaves to God Whose arm is strong against our self-sufficiency
By His satisfaction-filled clemency
With His love’s work-consistency
Along His abundant provisions for our contentment-fervency.

Our heart cleaves to God Whose arm is strong against our self-confidence
By His might-driven prevalence
With His wisdom’s preference
Along His converting truth for our stewardship-diligence.

Our heart cleaves to God Whose arm is strong against our self-entitlement
By His authority-guided empowerment
With His leadership’s engagement
Along His compassionate transformation toward our ministry involvement.

Imprisoning textures
and routine lectures
in loneliness,

"your own fault"
"not Other's loss"

blame

dipolar co-arising

Loneliness effacing
cognitive/affective reason
and denying access
to more social future seasons

Including primal memories
of self-appreciation
self-sufficiency
communication resource-fullness,

And yet,
     and yet,

Beneath such reasonable busyness,
when I can sustain
opulent MeWe identity,

Even so,
     even so,

EgoWe remains curiously distinct,
courageously Not Othered,
curiously not yet Othering

Embracing
peak biosystemic health,
abstractly known integrity

Loneliness knows opulent warm textures

Premium Member PRAISE BE TO GOD FOR SURELY DEALING WITH US

September 8 Praises to God Bible Meditations Based on Ezekiel 31-33

Key Verse – Ezekiel 31:10-11 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast lifted up thyself in height, and he hath shot up his top among the thick boughs, and his heart is lifted up in his height; I have therefore delivered him into the hand of the mighty one of the heathen; he shall surely deal with him: I have driven him out for his wickedness.

PRAISE BE TO GOD FOR SURELY DEALING WITH US

Praise be to God for surely dealing with us for our:
Self-exaltation against His glory
Self-righteousness against His grace
Self-sufficiency against His generosity
Self-pity against His goodness and guidance
Self-entitlement against His great governance

Ezekiel 32:16 Praise be to the Lord for instructing us to stay
in His will against sin-caused lamentation when we:
Disobey His declarations and designed duties
Defy His decrees despite defined demands
Deny His deity thru detrimental doubts
Decide against His directions
Disregard His delights

Ezekiel 33:22 Praise be to the Saviour for His
hand upon us to:
Guard us from wickedness
Grip us around His worthiness
Gear us toward worship by His Word
Goad us along His wisdom against worldliness
Grab us to His will against waywardness in the wilderness. Amen!

All That I Can Give

All that I can give

The sky is falling and my future is always calling;
A voice in the wind screaming at me like a banshee.
Everything is ugly.
No beauty to be found in anything.

As I fall to my knees in shattered pieces,
I need just one love to make me become happy;
But depression strikes, engulfs my life, woe is me
And it drags me down to where I never want to be.

Too old to start again; so full of apathy.
I have no wife and I am all out of time.
They say cheer up;
I want to say shut up.
I will not listen, to your words of sunshine.
I have given up; I have had to take too much.
I have no need for any more of your pretty lies.

I’m so bitter sweet; no symphony.
I write another verse; I guess I’m too greedy.
I have a total lack of self-sufficiency,
Because this poetry is mine, so I build my fences high.
Must keep everybody out, letting nobody in;
My place of misery is the only way I know how to exist.

So kept apart from all your love;
I have no heart, so have a heart, because I’ve never had any fun.
I can’t recall happiness; I can no longer try my best,
Because this is it.
This is all that I can give
And this…
This is nothing.

My great challenge for fruitful wisdom paths
is credentialed expertise.

My obstacle to polypathic health
is self-aggrandizing comfort,
cheap ease,
self-sufficiency,
detachment.

Obstacles to resilient compassion
have more to do with impatient "kindness"
than diligently interdependent pursuits
of transparently vulnerable
integrity
of deep and wide resonance, seeking consilience
of timeless cooperative wisdom.

When my wisdom circles
of dialogue
discussion
sacred discernment
turn to topics of public administration,
political science,
persuasion theory,
nonviolent communication systems,
positive psychology,
multicultural mediation,
cooperative economics,
game theory,
systems theory,
group theory,
attachment theory,
polyvagal theory,
experiential math,
permaculture design,
comparative religion,
Restorative Justice,

When these tools
within my belt of personal knowledge
are invited to work cooperatively together
to achieve resilient
and resonant
multicultural wisdom,

Problems begin when I expect
to speak unilaterally
and to be listened to,
settling for sufficiency of my credentialed expertise,
my zero-zone experience,
my health-wealth advocacy,
rather than searching for shared wisdom
cooperatively educational
democratically developmental
trans-formative
sociological
neurological
ecological
theological
geological
biological...

Cooperative fame prefers
becoming known
for our active love of one another
exhaling out
to encompass all wisdom circles

More powerful
healthier
wealthier
and famous
rather than infamous
punishingly ideological
monoculturing squares
of resistance to healthy spatial balance
and wealthy temporal flow.

Premium Member THE ECHO RETURNS NOT

Silent is the echo as pride shouts
   selfishness causing pouts...
      self-conceit triumphs over jealousy bouts
         self-glory reigns with discontentment clouts
            self-reliance wavers upon attacking doubts
               self-pity maneuvers toward false humility-routes…

The echo returns not indeed...
   as self-sufficiency does arrogantly succeed
      self-exaltation declares me-I-my-mine creed
self-inflicting pain midst guilt continues to breed
self-denial actually hoists covetousness and greed
self-love matters most, not recognizing God with His deed.

Who are you most longing to become?

How we answer this is different for an ancient rooted tree
than for a recent immigrant
searching for a niche of stable self-sufficiency.

Who we already have become together
feels more important to thriving groves of WiseElders
than to adolescent immigrants
actively learning creolizing bilingual skills
still coming together for survival.

So too, offering Sanctuary,
becoming Sanctuary,
inviting bicameral Sanctuary,
is rooted in Green complex nutrients
for feeding,
and warm wet watering
whispering easier
cozier
more accessible nutrients
for everyone--
but especially appreciated
by more recent emigrants
flowing into a new garden of hospitality,
of multicultural cooperation,
of shared cooperative residence
and patterns of safe,
sometimes exciting, new transport
toward healthiest wealth.

A gardener's intent
to both offer and share sanctuary
may provoke well-nurtured gratitude
in a recent annual immigrant,
but a more sleepy and self-satisfied entitlement
in mature seniority of perennials,

Yet, primordially feeling and speaking,
we are all immigrants newly becoming together
with each new dawn,
and determined to cooperatively rest
in grateful dreams
with each renewing dusk.

Who are we most belonging within
by becoming Green Sanctuary
together?

Some guilds of mutual interest
and investment
invite growing a cooperative sanctuary for food,
fuel,
fiber

Other teams choose cooperatively owned and managed shelter,
gardens,
farms,
transporting cars and trucks
and bikes and horses,

Others focus on cooperatively owned and managed soil,
observing that democratically co-invested compost,
like capital,
fertilizes healthy savings in a nutritional bank
for cooperative food constituents.

And so it goes,
whether Republican or Democrat,
Libertarian or Green,
Who we want to become together
is more cooperatively resilient,
more robustly compassionate
and co-empowering,
so less aloof
alone
smug and self-satisfied
about our competitive win/lose economic
and partisan histories of colonization;

When, truth become remembered,
we are all reborn naked emigrants
and needy immigrants.

The Unbroken Spirit of African Leaders' Legacy

Africa's land, shadows of colonialism still linger
Leaders rise, with hearts aflame, resisting the fetters
Of Western dominance, a legacy of dolor
Their courage, a luminary, in the dark of night's refrain
Kwame Nkrumah's vision, a guiding radiance
Pan-Africanism's fervor, burning bright
Unity and self-determination, his battle cry
Ghana's freedom, his legacy, forever exalted

Julius Nyerere's Ujamaa, a path less trod
Self-reliance's puissance, Tanzania's nod
Non-Aligned Movement, his noble quest
Distance from West, and do what's salubrious

Patrice Lumumba's heart, untold stories bear
Congo's freedom, his legacy, beyond compare
Assassinated young, his spirit remains
A symbol of resistance, against foreign chains

Thomas Sankara's fire, a revolutionary's conflagration
Burkina Faso's self-sufficiency, his people's encomium
Anti-imperialist, with a people's cry
Empowering Burkinabés, until his final valediction

Gamal Abdel Nasser's stand, Suez's mighty tumult
Nationalized the canal, with an iron hand, forever more
Arab nationalism, his passionate plea
Reducing Western influence, his legacy

Other leaders, with stories untold
Nelson Mandela's fight, apartheid's fold
Samora Machel's valor, Mozambique's beacon
Haile Selassie's legacy, Ethiopia's guiding luminescence

Ellen Johnson Sirleaf's path, a trailblazer's stride
Liberia's economic growth, her careful guide
Navigating West, with a nation's pride
A female leader, with a story to abide

These African leaders, with hearts of aurum
Resisted West, with stories to be told
Their legacies live, in history's page
An evidence fortitude, in a continent's stage

Where have we gone awry? Who do we offend?
What are they searching for, in Africa's land, again and again?
Now, they pursue Traore, Burkina Faso's president true
May they not succeed, in their Machiavellian pursuit, anew

Premium Member My God, Thank You For Beholding Me

June 22 Scripture Meditations Based on Proverbs 15

Key Verse – Proverbs 15:3 The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.

MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR BEHOLDING ME

Thank You for beholding me and my dedication
Despite slothfulness’ alluring invitation
Midst convenience-welcome pre-occupation…
Help me forsake negligence of indolence-instigation.

Thank You for beholding me and my diligence
Despite laxity’s attacking emergence
Midst fatigue-boredom resurgence…
Help me labour with willingness’ obedience.

Thank You for beholding me and my devotedness
Despite backsliding’s threatening destructiveness
Midst hatred-anger bitterness…
Help me seek for revival-fullness.

Thank You for beholding me and my development
Despite stagnation’s retarding entrapment
Midst comfort level-opportunity settlement…
Help me pursue for further kingdom-advancement.

Thank You for beholding me and my dependence
Despite pride’s towering confidence
Midst self-sufficiency incidence…
Help me abide in Your goodness’ providence.

Thank You for beholding me and my delight
Despite ambition’s interfering blight
Midst worldliness-humanism compromise-height…
Help me live within Your empowerment’s might.

Premium Member A Very Brief Glimpse of Aussie Nature

Watching several events, happening by the creek
kookaburra arrived and is perching in the trees
He has a tiny lizard firmly grasped, within his beak

Head tilts back, lizards gone, with a mighty scoff
many green leaves rustling in the cooling breeze
No longer seen, blue wing kookaburra has flown off

Eucalypts are exuding a golden yellow bloom
a strong scent attracting blue banded native bees
Rainbow bee-eaters hover, many bees they do consume

Kangaroos are hopping by, stirring clouds of dust
feel a nasal tickle, there's now a need to sneeze
Suddenly the breeze becomes a strengthened gust

Scrub python awaits, for an unsuspecting prey
Green tree frog! Jaws quickly snap! A rapid seize
Now coils, self sufficiency it has been done today

Flying foxes, are screeching through the night
consuming all the fruit an appetite to appease
Early morning, thousands of bats now out in flight

A multi coloured male Cairns bird wing butterfly
a seasonal common sight to surely please
In diverse vegetation, he goes gently floating by

A Tube nose bat, is suspended upside down
Maybe this position will stretch both her knees
Perhaps she's exhausted from many hours flown

Plague proportion of grey rabbits, throughout Australian land
In the eighteen hundreds introduced from overseas
Unsuccessful eradication programmes, times many planned
