The human heart bears the weight of lies:
as it has since betrayal began.
And when the bonds of trust unravel,
Reality copes the best it can.
Frustration is all too familiar
when life's trolled by failure and defeat.
And seeming non-receptive to dreams,
Love falters: then begins to retreat.
Seeking another pathway to love,
trust persuades your heart to take a chance.
But when lies overshadow the truth,
hopes collapse, as if pierced by a lance.
Struggling in desperation's grip;
teardrops fuel emotional storms.
And fighting feelings of depression,
you're mired in self-doubt: searching for norms.
A wave of conflicting emotions
scuttles your heart in a sea of tears.
And tides of regret ebb in your sleep;
exposing derelict dreams and fears.
It is only in sleep, that I unleash my fears
Released in my dreams, where no one can hear
Tumbling upward, note by note
Into the dark of a quiet room
And only the night can measure the quake
Submerged by the light, as a new dawn breaks
It is only in sleep I unleash my tears
Held in the arms of the midnight sky
Briefly rocked by a cradle of stars
Where moon at my window can swaddle my trembles
Soothed by the hours, away from the day
Away from the morning that stifles my worries
And again and again, I will stand in the sun
While the world only sees a confident me
Spreading more sun, spending more me…
Spreading my wings, spreading me thin…..
Unleashed are all fears of doubting seeds
A song that falls mute, by the light of day
Where pieces of puzzle will not go astray
Intact I must be, the paste, the glue
Denying the lack, of me, subdued
It is only in sleep I unleash my voice
Unleashed from all judgment, pride and shame
Released to the night, the child in me
Unleashed are all the unsaid words
Revealing self doubt that is hidden away
From the whisper of sleep, I unleash my voice
Tumbling upward, note by note

All thought walks behind you. Whether you look at one or you look at all, you may say “this is me, too.” For if there is a place, you are there before it is conceived and if there is a thing, you are there to witness it’s birth. Although you may ascribe the creation of things that enter your life to others, the others to which you ascribe their birth are creations of your own. all things are extensions of yourself. Therefore when you view the stars and the galaxies of Heaven you may say: “This is me also.”
It is for you alone to interpret the stimulation of your perceptions.
Nothing happens without you interpreting its meaning. All of the
controversy you encounter in your life is borne of your own self-doubt.
Do not hesitate to decide in your favor even if your favor is in the
elevation of others. For your life lies in their being also and to
elevate one is to elevate all, for the source of all is in each.
Dragons, Monsters, Daemons, Ghosts
Oh !, to be the slayer in your world of Dragons.
Oh !, to be allowed to extinguish all those fires,
the fires that light the way for your Monsters, your Daemons,
the Ghosts that haunt, who’s claws hold back all that could be.
Could this ethereal world I envision, be an illusion ?,
a figment of my imagination ?, a perception blinded by
the none fulfilment of a dream, a desire, a need for more ?
Do these apparitions ?, these mythical images ?, these legendary
phantoms of the mind come on the wings of self-doubt ?
Walking on clouds – that silver lining – seems to be what I do.
In the light of day, rays of sunshine dissipate, melt away the path.
I am left to fate, floating upon the cruel winds of uncertainty.
Carried away, on the wings of fear ?, or is it indifference ?

I try to reach out to anyone who will listen, who will take my beaten up, tired, hand,
All I get is a turned back, dirty old looks, a hurtful laugh, I can't hold my tears back.
All I get is self doubt, self hatred, and poor hatred for those who love me but I don't believe them.
All I keep hearing is, "everyone has their own lives, kids, jobs, to deal with, well you know what? So do I, one has autism for God sakes. All my life I have been alone, nobody cares I guess, oh well never mind I'm done.
I just want to ask one more question, do you mind?
Can I GO AWAY too? Because I'm done fighting, I've got Nothing Left!!
Hey Sweetie,
look up.
You don’t have to stay here
in this corner,
this nook.
It’s soo dark in here,
heavy with thoughtless words,
weighted in rot.
Trust me when I say:
these words aren’t your own, baby girl.
Because they’re not!
These faux thoughts you carry
they are not yours.
You can put them down now…
(Baaag lllady.)
They once kept you safe…
But, you look at me…
as you sit here trembling.
I need you to feel with your heart,
understand and see
that I am here.
I hold your hand.
We can do this.
You and I,
we are one,
at step one
walking together.
Not fighting.
(It was never a fight.)
Like a seasoned tightrope walker,
we together create balance:
the perfect rhythm
of left then right.
The top,
the bottom,
and all between
the parts we are ready,
but have yet to let ourselves see.
We’ve always had it,
even when they spew their own doubt.
We’ve always found that up, in, and out
“We got it!”
Route.
We’ve always been who we choose to be,
and we do this best
when present, loving,
and hugging on trees.
Why doubt what we already know?
Like a river on its way down to the O,
or a leaf free in the wind that blows
We… flow.
Not only our hair,
our height,
nor skin.
It’s India Arie’s “I Am Light.”
That soul.
That GOD within!
YOU don’t doubt YOU.
They doubt themselves.
You gather and carry these words as your own.
as I said
PUT THEM DOWN, NOW!
They’re an intended lesson,
with a RIGHTFUL home!
- Jalaila Hardy
What might you find
if you peeled away layers
If the rind of my soul was to be stripped away
I fear what you'd see…..what you'd say…..what you'd think
The feeble of me sinks in fear of your thoughts
that you would only be thinking you don't see enough
Were someone to care just enough to see through me
look beyond what's assumed, looking deep to the core
Would you score me as average……or even as nothing
All my life I've been striving to be of the stuff
that others became in the places I've been
What might you find, If you peeled off the rind
Where someone else hides that you've not seen before
In the fairytale story where the sun seems to shine
is a child never grown, wearing shells of self doubt
hiding in worlds where the light was turned on
to the others who shared every stage I've been on
Where wishes were written in words of a song,
Longing for something I cannot define
that stems from a childhood, where something else would
shadow my dream of being enough
Never quite reaching …never quite being
Never as bright as the very next star
Never outgoing, most often remaining
back in the shadows of the other bright stars
Still turning the pages from the time I was born
never quite being the star of my life
Wanting to share but still doubting my worth
that shadows the sun, and my place on the earth
There in the limelight…..there will always be someone
lighting the stage with his very own star
I must be content, to climb up the ladder
searching the stage with my eyes, from afar

It's difficult, but please try to understand,
my behaviour is something I cannot command.
At first I'll be serene like a sweet daydream,
but then unstable and intensely extreme.
Enter at your own risk, but be aware,
loving me can turn into a nightmare.
I'm like a grenade, don't pull my trigger,
I'll explode your mind with raging rigor.
My infatuation is like poetic idealisation,
but feeling unloved leads to devaluation.
The first hint of believing you're quitting,
will result in my psyche automatically splitting.
When I begin to feel like I'm not good enough,
I'll try to push you away and call your bluff.
You may label my actions as pathetic dumbness,
but this is me feeling empty with numbness,
so I make no apologies for the ghosting silence,
when my demons set restrictions like sly tyrants.
I try to block out regular paranoid suspicions,
so don't think I'm petty when setting conditions,
but with abandonment issues, I struggle to trust.
Please be sensitive as being patient is a must.
Be warned, my moods are regularly inconsistent.
My double standards may make you feel distant.
I need constant reassurance that you are only mine,
because insecurities make my sanity decline.
I don't want you to suffer like lovers who came before.
When I want to leave, don't let me run out of the door.
I just want to be loved with all my flaws accepted,
instead of being rejected, lonely and neglected.
Treat me gently and my self doubt will settle,
love me sincerely and I'll bloom like a precious petal.

This is the time, here below
Days, and months passing with losses
We stayed alert and lie low
Until the deadly virus passes.
Try as best we can,
not to let the agony of self- doubt
Entered our heart all threaten
anxieties we brought.
And hide in a hesitant fight
If the risk remains alive.
time will come to discover light
before death we must strive.
This time, we shall not all die,
some live and declare life is assured
after we grown after we sigh after we cry
for history to fine where we had lived.
In a space between time
We struggled to make ends meet
Living each day on fresh promises
Where the atmosphere was kind
The night moves so slowly in an undulating slither
When you’re waiting anxiously alone in the dark,
Wondering where he is tonight, as if it really matters.
Your sacred beliefs about love will never be the same.
You feel you’ll never know how to truly trust again.
It’s too frightening to leave, too painful to stay
When your deceived and broken heart leads you astray,
Waiting for the next soul wrenching sin.
In the season of silence when no answers can be heard
You cannot even tell yourself the truth.
You simply wait, believing your heart-numbing death is near.
It's another wretched love affair, dripping with lies and satire.
It’s not worth your time; not worth your tears.
The lesson lies so deep inside, where your illusions will not go.
Betrayal is an icon of mastery used to steel your soul.
See it for what it truly is and no longer blame yourself.
There is a purer love that rises above the pettiness of this world.
The lesson is Learn to First Love Yourself. It frees you to carry on.
