the floorboards offer only joist only the give the soft jawed stud in the hall
plaster molts white flecks like the chicken did last winter
the tv spits a grey electric grit
a static stuck rattling the cul de sac the deadbolt evening click
i have swept the dead from the wires the cold clot they leave in the pipes
the notice said final in red it promised a merciful eviction
in a neighborhood of taped up windows
the crabgrass a green fire where the dog used to squat wait
inside the mind a leaden bell a pendulum already swinging
the weight of crown molding and sweat
a siyn nap pops like a fuse when the heart stops
just the thermostat clicking off
the house already a frozen meat locker of blue bellies
as the soul snags on the splintered jamb by the side door
while the neighbors count the moving boxes
i kept thinking about the fridge light how long it could burn
over the fatback sweating into a cold yellow brine
the stars rock salt in a split lip
the factory a pulled socket wired to nothing bleeding soot
porch light a clotted throat of toasted wings
the smoke alarm battery dead
all that evisceration funnels us back to the kitchen
we sit in the kitchen thumbing the unpaid slips
my fingers gelid sticking to the paper
the fridge drones on borrowed power
just caught in the clock slow gears a germ in the cogs
the sink drips
the soul stays low in the wiring
behind the lath
holding on
until the breaker snaps
What happens to those emotions
that suddenly lose their way?
That was meant to be
but disappeared abruptly
by the decision taken by one!
What happens to those feelings?
Okay, the one who is not changed
tries to get back, tries to resolve,
shouts, cries, or writes poetry!
But what do the others do who take this abrupt decision?
How can they just put an end suddenly
and start not to feel those emotions from the next day?
What do they do with those emotions?
Or while leaving they gifted their own emotional baggage to the one who left behind?
and that's why the one who stays
feels heavier than before,
that they can't raise their head
and spend months just doing nothing,
confining own in a room and lying in bed
neither like a corpse, nor alive, rather half dead.
Just one more glass to quench her thirst
thirst of a desert nearer to sea
she ordered for another glass
she was just on a drinking spree.
Thirst of a desert nearer to sea
so close to it, yet so far
she was just on a drinking spree
to forget her pain,to remove her scars.
So close to it, yet so far
to touch the sea was not easy
to forget her pain,to remove her scars
again to get that happiness key.
To touch the sea was not easy
drinking her pain with every glass
again to get that happiness key
"Another .. g l a s s!",ordered the lass.
Drinking her pain with every glass
to delete her past as much she could
"A n o t h e r ...g l a...!"ordered the lass
as glass was only her escape route.
To delete her past as much she could
at least for this summer night
as glass was only her escape route
her mind was now a flying kite.
At least for this summer night
she ordered for another glass
her mind was now a flying kite
just one more glass to quench her thirst.

The pain is too much,
I can’t take it anymore,
It makes me want to fall,
Straight through the floor.
I’ve held it inside me,
For far too long,
I’m tired of being told,
That everything I do is wrong.
The first time was an accident,
But I’ll do it again,
Even though I know,
Cutting is a sin.
I hold the blade in my hand,
Swipe it across my skin,
I see the blood come pouring out,
I think I found a new friend.
You may not believe me,
But I don’t feel the pain,
Even though the blood,
Pours like the rain.
When I see the blood,
Coming from the cut,
I feel the pain leaving,
For my eyes are now shut.
I finally found something,
I can control,
I know when to stop,
I control the flow.
When the blood leaves me,
Other things do as well,
The pain and heartache,
There’s no more to tell.
Me
The girl I was
The woman I am
The sum of someone
who has never been enough
for anyone
I've walked on eggshells
my entire existence
never having trod
on solid ground
The soil under my shoes
always shaky
Trembling
Tossed around
Torn apart and tattered
Left lonely and shattered
Tidal waves of tragedy
Tsunamis of uncertainty
Bracing against their blows
throwing me off balance
Unable to gain traction
to move forward a fraction
Tripping and slipping
Boxed in by barricades
Struggling to survive and swim
To hold my head above the water
Clinging to the detritus of dreams
as the angry sea washes over me
Desperately crying out in anguish
For help I know will never come
Words fail
To fund ease
In lapsed peace
That unveils
Joy bleeds
Quest of bourse
In lost cause
Where pain seeds
Faith dies
To harsh fear
That drowns cheer
In odd sigh
Hope drains
In lost way
Where dark days
Breed more pain
Once good
Now feels sick
In blown wick
Of dead mood
Vile squeeze
Of blown wit
In stray bits
Toss cold sneeze
Wet tears
Tell in vain
Of sad pain
Void of cheer
No more
Poise of choice
To seed voice
As gall pours
End game
Death culls best
Breath of zest
In nude name

Hope waits for cheer, hope waits for joy;
Ink a fond rhyme, ink a grand line;
Ask truth to steer, ask love to toy;
Trust beyond time, trust beyond fine;
Urge hurls verse here, urge trends new ploy;
See merge of chimes, see flow of wine.
Hide your sad tears, hide your harsh pains;
Indulge your heart, indulge your soul;
Attempt good cheer, attempt new strain;
Trust feel you start, trust thought you hold;
Undo right here, undo the vain;
Sense end of art, sense end of cold.
Heal your sad pain, heal your refrain;
Invite pure grace, invite sure will;
Allow disdain, allow complaint;
Touch hurting space, touch wounded feel;
Use senses plain, use impulse slain;
Speed hiatus' pace, speed piquant deal.

How did all this begin
How did this illness start
When I was being torn to pieces
Or when I was completely ripped
apart
Everyday being consumed with intense unrelenting sadness
Not understanding why pushed me
further into madness
As my mental health continued to
quickly decline
Dark clouds rolled in the sun just
wouldn’t shine
These overpowering emotions I just
couldn’t control
Every bit of hope I once had they had
entirely stole
Emotional overload was bursting out
at the seams
The deafening sound of my own
internal tortured screams
Overwhelmed broken and knocked
down to my knees
This depression of mine will surely be
my fatal disease
Farewell, au revoir, arrivederci, auf wiedersehen
to the world that never cared to know my name
To the cerulean seas I've never seen
in which I never swam and searched for shells
and perfect round pearls reflecting rainbows
in the summer sunshine
To the mountains I never got to marvel at
and eagerly ascend to their summits
To the city of my dearest dreams
where I never had the chance to dance
in its palaces and parks
among the flowers and the fountains
To my prince who never found me
to stir my soul from slumber with a kiss
so that I could see colors and know the bliss
of everlasting love sincere and true
To you
I gather up each word, each thrown away,
putting my poetry back together;
words "thrown" to wither and decay,
this garbage- I love forever.
My poems called worthless,
my poems so breathless;
poems never- wordless,
making a gem out of garbage;
is my endeavor.
My pen will bleed with my dark surrender,
writing my poems like a rose bouquet;
praying this sad pain will leave someday,
I gather up each word, each thrown away;
and weep- making a gem out of garbage.
