beneath the dahlia rise
splashed across morning skies
i lose myself in this thick air
and rumination of mind
where thoughts of you linger
i can feel this moist air
as it breathes heavy
upon me
like a windless breath
beneath a caress
from lover's lips
in passion's heat
i wring myself
among these drops
beaded as they fall
across bare skin
before the climax
of memories
break with day
the blue depths
of cloudless skies
does not compare
to the voids within
my longing
i yearn for you
more so than this day
yet momentarily
am satiated
in memories
that blush me
like morning's rise

**Mental Rumination**
Every single day brings with it a new and unfamiliar word, each one carrying its own distinct meaning that often resonates with the shifts in my life. Retirement, for instance, has proven to be a profound transformation, especially during this initial year. I had envisioned a seamless transition, convinced that I had everything perfectly mapped out. However, as the days progress, I catch myself grappling with self-doubt, second-guessing nearly every decision I make, particularly those concerning my health and overall mindset.
It seems like a soundtrack of sorts plays in my mind—a loop of Bruno Mars’ “The Lazy Song.” The lyrics echo my innermost desires: a yearning to do absolutely nothing and simply enjoy the leisure for which I had longed. Reflecting on my aspirations for retirement, I realize that this very notion of relaxation was all I had ever dreamed about.
So, it perplexes me that a motivational speaker, someone who is supposed to uplift and inspire, is instead filling me with guilt for not maximizing every moment of this so-called freedom. Why am I feeling this way when I thought this phase of my life would be a time of unbridled joy and fulfillment?
I've recently become aware that I've gained some extra weight, and it's not contributing positively to my overall well-being.
It's interesting how these YouTube Nigerian movies have such a strong allure for me; they hit my taste buds like an addictive substance.
Although many of their movies are poorly directed and lack the technical finesse one might expect from a polished production, I find myself drawn to their charm and vibrant storytelling.
There is something uniquely entertaining about the way they portray life, and I cannot help but get lost in the attention-grabbing plots and often over-the-top drama.
It's a guilty pleasure that I know I need to manage better,
Mental rumination is a genuine experience that many of us face as human beings. It is essential to acknowledge it, as it impacts our thoughts and overall well-being.
While it seems like I am grounded on my couch, and doing absolutely nothing
I cannot be happier doing that.
But as the saying goes, I will take one day at a time. “Lord Jesus
Rumination.
Too long an elongation
Oblivion
Too easy a high five to see in freedom, in scope of Pentagon
The eternal fire, chest of drawer and homeland security
Almost a climax toward Bermuda triangle
A selfless supplication in the third act
Without writing how will you find meaning too , through abstraction?
I am an assonance
To odd a pain
In revision of torn pages
To forecast pills of nine
Will there be any benign?
To tell a tale , to cast a forecast
Gaze, maze, in audacity of courage
I love you, your heart beats in mine
I rub you, I feel your overcoat, the woolen layers
And I tell you, softly
Upper supper, look me in to the eyes
Familiarize a face
You have to give a speech
For a lost butterfly
On the twenty first floor
Of the tower.
“Did you say tailgating?” The question came
I replied, to do rely, almost a reply’s try,
A point of no return, I love you in supreme time
But how will I describe my rumination?
In odds of your twenty years
And ninth of mine?

Ghostly frail figure,
that I am now,
neath nebulous moon,
where I shed tears,
on brambled verge,
as thin bones quake,
emaciated earthly being,
whose nocturnal solace,
bereft of suave signage,
with a deathly sickness,
icily immune to healing,
taut threadbare skeletons,
prone to clinical diagnosis,
never fugitive in closet,
nor courtroom strict sanction,
cordoned off camera setting,
where splurge of guilty scruple,
in atonement an utter ruse,
yet musings mercurial lurk,
as the net of darkness threatens,
indignant isolate me stranded,
whilst casting mirrorlike,
reflections shed under veil,
of midnight mosaic,
on my mishap strewn life,
due to brittle bony,
fragmented awkwardness,
that wreaked wild havoc,
with long term intimate bonds,
commonly entailing excess,
swing by to overflowing wards,
I eschew self-pity, period,
so vain and vacuous,
alien and anathema,
barren rattle cerebral
sqeamish stream of,
inlaid tract,
rumination razor-sharp,
from emaciated mortal,
whose stealthy lurch,
is frame vulnerable,
torrid touchstone,
as skeleton key,
gaining ingress to,
stubborn locked doors,
syndrome blight,
hailed as,
lean skinny shell,
resignation rare,
stoic coexistence,
copper-fastens
There’s something in the silence of the statues
Like Bach played very quietly and true
That sends a human soul into a rapture
And stops us wondering what we ought to do.
There’s something in their gaze so enigmatic
With peaceful hearts, they share their marble eyes
That now and then our life becomes ecstatic
Until the special time will fade and die.
They’re proud and humble at the same quiet moment
Nothing can be gained by attitude
Nothing can gained by smiling assent
Nothing over which we humans brood.
And so goodbye to all the rumination,
All the to and fro of argument
For this is now a silent dislocation
From what we said and what we really meant
My Response To Rumi
A composite man was this Rumi Mystic who penned ‘Spiritual Couplets’ thousands
of magical lines of Persian poetry deep he lives on in simple (?) bites of
three lines condensed confluent cracking proverbial nutshells soft in their core
He’s buried in the Konya of Anatolian wisdom a place I am seeking to visit
on my insider travels and have been compelled from into imagination and spirit of
mind where the tree of life throws seeds on the shadows of tumbling body and soul
~~ Rumi lives on once we destroy what destroys us tear down the partitions ~~
‘Healing by allowing to fall ill’ ‘searching for defenses within’ barriers fortresses
imposing enclosures self built contraptions that prevent love kindness compassion
Dysfunction and illness derive from inside thus we can either attempt to strive
against mere symptoms and torturous outcrops bandage the hurt on the
surface or take a good look at the messages crises fall together for a while reflect
with serene mirrors of honesty reject the temptation futile attempts of aligning
broken shards into yet another fragmentation sinking once more into darkness
Rummaging rumination and running head on into the same walls again and again
never achieved to manage my mangled madness into meaning and peace
but acceptance and searching inside with the purpose of healing following three
~~ simple lines brought Rumi to life and myself back into light and true love~~

"If you desire healing,
let yourself fall ill
let yourself fall ill."
- Jalaluddin Rumi
Life is strong and fragile. It’s a paradox… it’s both things, like quantum physics: It’s a particle and a wave at the same time. It all exists all together. —Joan Jett
Connotations of Life
Night birds and daydreams in Edenic oak tree.
The salty tongue and lullabye of beachy blue sea.
Rumination of childhood ‘neath honeysuckle sun.
Red, raw, fulgent, overcome by the heft of the sun.
The fruitless and barren virtuosity of Adam’s tree.
Catacombs and sawlike teeth squatting in the sea.
The thrill of tides, embraced by the bosom of the sea.
Flickering flame or blinding heat tempered by the sun.
Sanity climbing the boughs or crepitant branches of tree.
O tree keep me above uncanny sea; soothe me with the sun.
i am stuck at the bottom of a well i dug with my own hands
the stain from dirt on my nail beds
is too embedded to be cleansed
ablution wont be found here
a purposeless place too sunken for sustenance to fill
water is too pure and too righteous to visit me here
i befriend the cracked walls and we trade stories of misery
rain has forgotten to fall at my feet like she used to
the sound of quiet has been silenced by the weight of my past
burdening me with a tune of melancholy
“what say you, dear friend? will you stay by my side or will you let the lion die?
its hunger, coating you in arrogance
unwilling to accept your nature
the people no longer rest here, and the water that once lived here has ascended back into the sky
yet only you, my dear friend have found comfort in the nothing i have become”
the voice croaked and dry, lonely walls who comfort an unstable mind
Viral rabidity
dark depression closes in
egocentric
and economic
claustrophobic feelings
against overpopulated sick inhumanity,
competing ravenous clans
overwhelming individual rights
opportunities
health
autonomously-held capital wealth.
And then violently
politically explodes
internally devouring,
pregnancy rates collapsing,
eating
and extracting
and divesting,
abusing and neglecting
our young
and old,
disabled
and vulnerably weak.
Global climate health crises
close in ego-sequestration
rumination
recusing ourselves from communication,
away from cooperative investment,
sharing touch and breath,
remembering what makes our hearts race
and slowly grow too quiet
And then non-violently explode
restoring peace of ease,
setting aside retributive justice against disease
as a secondary effect
of ecological healthy relationships
predicting unprecedented theological wealthy compassion
for Earth's global interdependent analogical climates
optimizing resilient organic wealth
of Earth's most resonant health.
Fortunate failure of fallacy and regret
Contortionist cartoonist illustrating what id like to forget
Proportions of misfortune that I have to measure then reject
Insubordinate illusions of what the deluded ones project
Brandishing bravery as a tool to confront apathy
Vanishing complacency as a fool faces his own pathology
Diminishing returns on an outstretched Hand for mediocracy
Banishing a word in fear of it infiltrating the autocracy
Wealth of a pleasurable sonnet in the afternoon light
Stealth drones hiding under the bonnet of a bomb struck down in mid-flight
Health gnomes on it to prove they won it as they instigate a fight
Shelf philosophy stacked upon it all as we look up to the blazing night
Illumination of discourse as paramount as breathing
Rumination of recourse as they segregate you for dreaming
Communication without force as non violent resistance is beaming
Aspiration for the dark horse underdog winning as its screaming
Collective remiss furrowed brows and a cocophony of injustice throughout the land
Reflective consensus, wearing dentures as the elderly reach out their hands
Introspective observations and elevations of the grand
Non-objective instigations of the weak struggling to take a stand
Voracious curiosity at the passing of a young life too soon
Loquacious luminosity at the exclamations of a full calendar moon
Tenacious furiosity of lamentations upon true doom
Mendacious propaganda that is formed from a silver spoon
A capitalist nightmare in the dark alley of dismay
A conversationalist who doesn’t care out on socialising display
The transformationalist transforming during a military parade
The educationalist performing another game of indiscernible charades
Wonder forming at the dawning of another blistering sunset
Yonder warning as this conforming crowd is whispering political unrest
Ponder the morning as the yawning wind rescinds over the subset
Sunder tawny climate warning as we disregard the youngest
Platonic solids form the basis of physical uniformity of nature
Masonic torrid storm the moment as adolescents think they are mature
Ironic Euclid geometrically far from stupid as we look for another cure
As the rarest of the chosen ones become fewer and fewer
The End
