Last year I became very angry because in my town, Christmas was banned.
I wanted people to celebrate Christmas so it was something I decided to demand.
I was arrested when I returned from another town with a Christmas tree.
Just because I was going to celebrate Christmas, the cops incarcerated me.
But lucky for me, a couple of my friends decided to post my bail.
I was determined to bring Christmas to my town and I didn't fail.
When very few people signed the petition that I started, I decided to contact CNN.
The entire country was outraged when they saw me on the news so the Mayor gave in.
Our Mayor banned Christmas because he never received any presents when he was a child.
Every single year, other kids had toys but he had nothing and he became bitter and riled.
But the Mayor saw the error of his ways and Christmas was reinstated.
Christmas came to my town and it was what everybody celebrated.
(This is a fictional poem.)
It was my moral duty to operate and in many people's eyes, I was admired.
I did what needed to be done and because of that, I was fired.
Four years ago, a baby was born with Down Syndrome and he had a heart defect.
Because of his mental impairment, he was a baby who his parents chose to reject.
I told the parents that without an operation, their baby would die.
They told me not to operate and sadly, I understood the reason why.
They wanted him to die because of his Down Syndrome and some others and I protested.
The parents were taken to court but the judge agreed with what the parents requested.
Even though that damn judge upheld the parents decision, I operated anyway.
I saved that baby's life but my superiors were outraged and decided to make me pay.
I was fired but because of public outcry, they said that I would be reinstated.
I told them to go jump off a cliff, I wouldn't work for a hospital that I hated.
I was fired because of my moral scruples but I had the last laugh.
Now I work at a better hospital and I've become the Chief of Staff.
(This poem was inspired by a movie.)
I listen to the news each day and read the papers too.
And what I hear or see can make me sad.
Like, innocent kids and civilians killed by air force strikes
How is this travesty justified? Where in this crisis was their choice?
I wonder why I care; but I do.
Five teens went through a roundabout and smashed into a tree,
And now their families face this tragedy.
The driver killed was fifteen years, his friends hurt critically.
Scenarios like this each day, no lessons learnt from them.
I wonder why I care; but I do.
Elections looming throughout the world, chills me to the bone,
I fear our future is in jeopardy.
With narcissistic candidates, others who lose the truth.
Choices are poor, I have to say, are they really the best they have?
I wonder why I care; but I do.
And child abuse in all its forms, now coming to the fore,
Just who allowed this wickedness to roam free.
For innocence of childhood loss, can never be reinstated.
With suicides and hatred rife, this price is too high to pay.
I wonder why I care; but I do.
Kidnapping and brutality against young girls I have heard,
Their lives destroyed, enslaved by cruel men.
Now they return with babes in arms, the legacy of rape.
Forever more their life changes, we see sadness on their face.
I wonder why I care; but I do.
If there is a God who is looking down, he would weep for all humankind.
I am sure that none of this was in his plan.
Is it too late to begin again and make amends?
With each man free to live in peace, or is that just a dream?
I wonder why I care; but I do.
I wonder if I should not read the words or watch Television again.
Nor listen to another piece of news.
And then I would not have to hear about constant tragedies.
I could be free from other's woes, let them not worry me.
I wonder why I care; but I do.

It is undeniable that anguish prevails
It hovers close to a lilting voice
There are no strains to rejoice
Once the beat soars, its genesis tweaks.
Giving alms is obvious
Beyond the ethics of the tithing ritual
Coins jingle, evoking a sound
A decrease in the supply of food.
Newborns lack hearing and verbal ability
The elderly sage dresses chaotically
Elfin babies desire soft touch and warmth
Akin to their late mother's calming palm.
Completely lacking in decency
Deep, the ears were concealed
Whilst untamed jaws sow turmoil
It sinks as a modest, rusted nail.
The crowd heartily jeered
Tears fell over their faces relentlessly
Failure was diligently earned
Mass disgust reached high levels.
The whips roared with mirth
Frames grudgingly bore this duty
Correct ideals will be reinstated
Inept debt must be repaid in full.
In a place, In another time was where it all initiated
A bombed out place with mixed climatic systems, Reinstated
But moving on in this place gave me a cerebral pulsation
For within and outside these boundaries, I knew no realization
Was it entirely fictional in all its worth, Or was there sense to my thoughts
I knew paradises face was not written in the smoke, With cascading numerics and
endless noughts
My perceptions redeemed the credible flashes of reality, But I was in suspension
I agonized walking through splinters of fire and wrath in this cultured dimension
I caught a hollow lie in my head, Which was rhythmic until it spread
It was then that I realized this place was not real, Only a fantasy in my head
And then I became aware that this existence was never ending wonder
Looping and cascading, Everything with psychedelic elegance, A shattering electric
thunder
Brilliance came forth in verse and actuality, Amongst my mind their thoughts
manipulated
A cataclysmic pulse scored my spine, As if I was charged, But deep within felt
simulated
Anything in composite material form was reassuring, But the dreams struck like
death
Nothing in this world titled Arcadia with flesh, Only skeletons with expired breath
Arcadia has claimed its child, Swallowing in gulps, And taken aback by the ferocity
I am the Tempest swirling in all dimensions, breathing in the atrocity
The End.
Form:
I am just a filthy dirty human made of dust
Dirt formed as clay made by the hands of God
The only good thing in me is GOD spirit that dwelling in me
How can it be that I have intellect, blood flowing through vessels
And a brain the disciples like a computer I don't understand
Sin is a choice it's a nature that is embraced and covenanted
By man's desire to be of pride and be a lair
How could I have embraced such a thing for my great-great-great-great-grandfather Adam Caused the downfall he brought in this thing called sin through wretched disobedience
Then a compromise then he tried to turn it all around by blaming it on God
Mankind stinks this also includes women kind not as only by the nature of sin that we dwell
It's by this through disobedience that makes us stinks and smell
We stink and surely hurt the nostrils of God
Being with that said that a second Adam had to be created
Brought down to earth to be reinstated
And now through all the chasms He chose to save us
A filthy rag
But I am so glad
That He was on the right hand of the Father
And H e said let me go down to save your children
Save their souls
Let me go Father I go, I'll be liken a clean perfumed the aerosol can
Send me Father prepare for me a body
That I may redeemed them
Though I smell of rotten stinking flesh
So I may dry up and nothing but Dry Bones
Will be left once my spirit soul is separated from my body by death
I will be United with my holy Daddy, Father God in heaven
Where I will be brand new spiritually no more odor, no more decay
Mans no more dust for his God
So in the spiritual realm with Him while we continue to live in Trust
No more lies and mistrusts, stink and disgust
Amen
Repent, and you shall be forgiven
And hopefully, reinstated
If you are conscience-driven
It’s much appreciated
No need to come up with objections
Just humbly take the charge
Accept all stupid allegations
Before they grow too large
The astute will suspect you’re kidding
Those will be a minority
Most of the judges will believe you
So blessed by their authority
You go whatever way you see
It might be not the same
You walked before, but you are free
To start another game
It is a gaming world, all play
Whatever game they like
In games of war for peace they pray
In games of work they strike
Of course the wise like to pretend
That only justice meets their needs
But at the high stakes it depends
Forgive the hypocrites.
I often think of when
I did not know – infatuated
with mystery; ignorant
of air and lift; wondering
if wings were something
magic –
time and distance, a carpet ride,
for endless exploration...the
slower the start, the more
thrilling...seeming “Bolero”
on imaginative-steroids – yet to solve
the enchantment of breasts
less revealed, and the intimacy
of what appeared above those dainty feet
and bare ankles, that rose and settled
in majestic puffs of skirt with each swirling
breath-full dance –
I hope that, when I get to
heaven, I will be pleasantly
surprised!~no castles and
roads of gold...just a lost
naivety to be reinstated
for a new, and equally delightful
clumsy try....

The True Form of Life
Life: A timeless adventure from beginning to end.Beginning as an infant with no worries or secrets,To an elderly senior with desires to live and explore, More than it’s given time.Seeing the great values of life and beauty, Through the eyes of which never grow old,And is the strongest muscle in our bodies.Using our voice to make an input into the world,To finding the answers hidden deep in our souls. Our minds take on the hardest quest,Than any life obstacle could ever thrust before us.But in time, our minds will disintegrate,And all those adventures will never be told nor uncovered. The memories will fade, and the love and strength we control, Will cease to exist. It is the greatest struggle we all fail to accept.Life ends one way or another. Our lifeless bodies become grass and get to live on whether we know it or not, Until the world ends. From traveling coast to coast and,To clinging on to life possessions earned overseas. It is the ruins of the adventures and passionsthat we try so desperately, to express.Seeing your thirst for beauty expand,Then learning gratitude from our hearts and minds. In a new perspective. One day, the concussions and internal memories,Shall be fulfilled and placed into an eternal tomb. The secrets, hopes, and dreams, may never be fully reinstated,But it shall be recognized.Once you tell someone,Once, you let your guard down,Once you let your person be known,May you truly share a place in this world. It is known as the true form of life. The journey you started and want to continue for years to come,Will be not forgotten,But embedded into the minds of the new generation. Then, finally the struggle to life, Will be no more.
