"noW"
Let’s face it ...
I can’t string
an intelligent sentence
together,
apart from those
cast to feed sharks
in an affidavit.
sentences ... spent,
words and voices
caged, released
ah, well,
you’ve got your freedom
now
you walk the floors
of Freedom,
what you gonna do with it now?
Repatriate?
Confessions?
Reciprocate?
Sisters always
wear their Nun habits,
but nun in the mirror not so none
they think
they’re immaculate,
but I see right through them
lacking what
was missed in the womb
from the get go
they stole
what came
from mine -
go on
brush your teeth
in the mirror
the child watches on
while she pretends
to tap away at another life
grace given,
the strength in the child
from the mother came
given grace,
I’m the true mother
what were you expecting?
I leave her
move in the current
flow, unconditional;
Time moves in
rapidly.
what next, happens?
in the Final Chapter?
Palindrome?
Forgiven?
never odd nor even
noW,
well, noW
Time moves
its explicit way
towards you
Time moves on
eternal...
next life, a mission
with you, to avoid.
I leave her
move in the current
flow, unconditional;
noW
she sees me
in her mirror
in her mirror
she sees me
noW

Hannah and Otto lived by a lake
In a house with an address of 8008.
Some nights they would kayak around and around
So quietly; there was nary a sound.
One night they heard an erie toot and some beeps
And rowed towards the sounds without making a peep.
They each gasped twice when they saw what was there.
It was Ogopogo coming up for air!
Ogopogo turned and smiled at them
They were both wowed; he seemed like a friend.
It turned out that he was quite civil and charming
His conversation was respectful and, therefore, disarming.
And at the end of the exchange, he asked, “Do you happen to know
Where my girlfriend, Loch Nessie, would possibly go?
I’ve been looking around this lake for centuries, it seems
And if I don’t find her soon, I will simply scream!”

Seventh Place
My civic duty did shout at me
To get my rotavator out
The garden screams come on now do the deed
And get me sorted out
The level is steady my grass you can see
Is now lush short and green.
My eye can see this cut for me
Is so good, it really should be seen.
“Madam” says the posh lady walking by
“Wow your garden has now reached perfection
Can you give me a hint or two,
For my own lawns resurrection.”
Aha mam, with my help you will be able to astound
If it’s ok with you I’ll pop and see what’s in your ground
I’ll peep at it let you know, and I’ll do it soon
I’ll be round tomorrow morning or maybe the time of noon.

Evil Olive was cruel and vile to her employee Anna
She forced her to stack cats which had died
Anna was distraught and wanted to leave
Damm It I'm Mad to work here poor Anna cried
Madam, I’m going to walk out of the door
Anna’s face grew redder as she shed a tear
She said I won’t step on no pets any more
Anyone would think the devil lived here!
At noon a lawman arrived in his racecar
He asked Olive, was it a cat I saw?
Don’t nod ... you’ve been on our radar
As my gym is in the building next door!
You’ve been caught, wow, I’ve got the stats
I’ll refer this sad case on to my boss Bob
It’s a top spot to find the missing cats
I’m on the level Olive; you’re out of a job!
Fiction write - no cats were harmed in the creation of this poem...

I don't have bling
I don't rap, play blues or sing
I'll never be a cool black guy
My strut is weak
My cred roams far yonder
Miles away from the street
I'll never be a cool black guy
The booty I shake
The moves that I make
Won't qualify for Soul Train's sake
I'll never be a cool black guy
The name my mother assigned
Won't force Grandmaster Flash to resign
I'll never be a cool black guy
The vocal lords which gospel brings
Cannot pervade thy angel's wings
I'll never be a cool black guy
Cruising slow at sunset
Love, joy, exaltation
Politely asked to pull over
Algorithms bleed into
Indignant subjugation
I'll never be a cool black guy
When a simple arrest
Leads to civil unrest
Then comes the ripple, tsunami
Of economic infest
I'll never be a cool black guy
My options broken, then severed
Left to dangle without a net
The asphalt calls
No qualms or regret
I'll never be a cool black guy
And one leads to two
And two leads to ten
History's palindrome nightmare
To invoke and offend
Why can't our same bag of bones
Simply care, soar, befriend
I'll never be a cool black guy
That diploma on the wall
Smelting books, with brains and gall
Will humanity's insanities
Finally yield beauty
Leading us to stand for all
I'll never be a cool black guy.

UNCHANGED HABITS
Recently, I promised myself to make drastic changes;
again, I have fallen into yesterday's habits.
So unchanged they seem as my esteem:
they must be controlling my rebelling genes,
but making changes isn't for the better, I deem.
So unchanged they seem as my esteem;
again, I have fallen into yesterday's habits...
recently, I promised myself to make drastic changes.
THE ASPIRING VOCALIST
He had an aspiration for greatness that could have blossomed into realized dreams;
he headed to New York City wearing shining boots and tight, faded blue jeans,
" He's a real Texan cowboy! " someone shouted in the noisy athmosphere...
and he accidentally heard that with surprise and it sounded pleasant to his ear.
He had talent and was seeking a vocalist's job, singing on Broadway's streets.
" He's a real Texan cowboy! " someone shouted in the noisy athmosphere.
He headed to New York City wearing shining booths and tight, faded blue jeans;
he had an aspiration for greatness that could have blossomed into realized dreams.

I see them in everything
they're invisible with no form
My body is touched by feelings
it makes my skin crawl
I hear their whispers unending
yet silence is their voice
I breathe deeply but smell nothing
It is the sense of death
I can taste only dry metal
or at least I thought
They make me count the experience
to try to keep me calm
Calm...
To try to keep me calm
they make me count the experience
Or at least I thought
I can taste only dry metal
It is the sense of death
I breathe deeply but smell nothing
Yet silence is their voice
I hear their whispers unending
It makes my skin crawl
my body is touched by feelings
They're invisible with no form
I see them in everything

love
so true
it brings a smile
makes the heart sings
softly
kisses
her charming
kisses
softly
makes the heart sings
it brings a smile
so true

Author's Comment: Palindrome, also known as the Mirrored Poem, reads forwards and
backwards. It stems from the Greek word palindromos: palin, meaning again, and dromos,
meaning a running. Combining the two together, the Greek meaning gives us, running back
again. The concept of the “mirrored images” reflects an “image mirrored,” which includes a
word in the center of the poem as a reversal point for the sentence or even the poem.
There is no set number of stanzas or any rules for construction.

Aibohphobia
Fear facing this penning
Then when I started
I found what was this preventing
A car, a man, a maraca
When he played the maraca while driving
My attention became dismayed
And I was only surviving
Down at the creek
Goldenrod_adorned log
My spirits revived
But then I was surprised by Tree Frog
Live not on evil! Live not on evil!
Is what he seemed to croak
Live not on evil
It seemed as if God through him spoke
