Premium Member Happy Birthday, Andrea

How Poetry Began, such plots you tell!
A Tale Of Fire And Ice you wrote so well
Poor Peter Pumpkin bid a sad adieu
Pink Cherry Blossoms was your first haiku
You Echo, Silent Still - love's dream come true.

Bright Eyes plays violin with sweet refrain
It Matters Not, a lovely swap quatrain
Rock Turtles - monoku criteria
The Wintered Soul Among Wisteria
Hidden Beauty - bittersweet rondeau
Dear Juliet waits for her Romeo
And Then Are Times in 'Six Days of Sistine'
Yesterday's Joys, a quatern most pristine.

At Winter's End, a triolet of spring
Night, A Pantoum Lullaby to sing
Destiny, so dark; more painfully:
Reflecting on Police Brutality
Each Little Drop of Rain I See goes 'plink'
An Empty Tissue Box in tear-stained ink.

Dogs and Cats, of these you often write
In Strangler's Wood, those shadows quake at night
Eternal Breath, for one who died too soon
This Night you're floating under stars and moon
Revelation In the Rain, poor her!
I'm Huck - that's right, the novel character
Cinder Girl, burned badly by a boy
Happy birthday, Andrea - enjoy!

September 5th:
Happy birthday to a Soup superstar, prolific poetess, constant commenter, splendid sonneteer, marvelous mentor, word warrior, supportive sponsor, and fabulous friend!

Ahem

11/5/20
"Ahem"

Ahem

Time keeps flying
I'm trying
They keep prying
Continually lying
And spying
Because they want to see me crying
Frying
Then dying
To me it's not terrifying
To them it would be satisfying

They thought
It would be a shock
And stop me, but it did not
Far too oft
They talk
And mock
But the irony of it, is that I'm not the bad guy like Doc Ock
I don't know or care if they ever got
Whatever it is that they want
Sheep continue to flock
And predators are out to stalk
Typical bull **** seen around the clock
Secrets buried, submerged or hidden behind a lock
Good intentions, and sinister plots
Only being half-assed, or out to get it at all costs
Many found their way, and others were lost

They attempted to hit me where it hurt
But it never worked
Only made me go berserk
For what it's worth
You're no better than other scum on this Earth
Won't be the last or the first
It's been an endless search
Since birth
Been blessed yet cursed
I've done better, and I've done worse

They just can't relate
Or appreciate
Therefore they hate
And try to eliminate
Night and day
At any time and place
Because they find it great

They already got plenty
Yet they keep being so petty
They'll act all friendly
But they just really want a levy
On you, so they can remain wealthy
Meanwhile you struggle to stay healthy
Because your pockets are empty
From them taking every single penny
This life can be rather heavy
And deadly
Especially if it involves envy
Unfortunately, it's been the outcome for many

Letters From the Usa

LETTERS FROM UNITED STATES OF AMERICA -MIA

U for Universal, representing Hollywood
N for Richard Nixon, whose morals fell short of good.
I reminds us of Iraq; we’re there for their protection.
T is for the Twin Towers – though of course there’s no connection.
E for entertainment, in America it’s grand.
D illustrates it perfectly; just visit Disneyland.

S is for the Super Bowl, a sort of U.S. F.A Cup.
T is for Thanksgiving where families meet up.
A is the American Dream, a concept they all love.
T is for the turkey they eat two lines above.
E just stands for everything you either love or hate.
S is for the sea between, which some believe is great.

O has to be Obama, the one who broke the mould.
F is for the failure we hope we don’t behold.

A is for “The Apple”, or New York on the map.
M is for Macdonalds, who sell a load of ....
E remembers Elvis; at last they had a king.
R is for the rock and roll which Elvis made his thing.
I is for the Indians the cowboys loved to fight.
C, the Constitution which gives them equal rights.
A brings us back to “The Apple” – so good they named it twice.

Devil's Brains

in the midst of cartoons
a **** psychology bribing parents
in the midst of your ****
you are deformed by the subliminal messages
in the media of the fame and fortunate
a forgotten memory of esoteric knowledge
the world is this way for a reason
it just took 10 000 years to pull the impossible off

In another world
children in uniforms
passing the devil's brains like a toy
a means to an end to ascend the devil to heaven
and through the crucifiction of this telepathy
to protect your god
to pull off the perfect crime
the confusion of god as she bribed the evil child
with the death of the meaning of life

4000 angels surround her now
singing in the streets might let you know its going down
on her way to hell for killing her child
a demon slayer was born
the angels her reflection
death to the beast
demons drawn to the flame

the changing of the times
the digital brains you sing and purchase for the devil will be replaced by
the transformation of the angel of death
everything happened this way for a reason
it just took 10 00 years to pull off

blood blood
blood blood
blood blood
kill kill kill
it's 3 o c ock
my time flies when your having sex

                              as prominent
                                 opponent

                                   with strength supreme,
                                being founder
                               and leader
                           of Sinister Six,-
                         taking risk
                       of conflicts to fix.

        A mad scientist
              Yet on top list.
                 Intelligent myopic

      Sporty character showing miracles,
                             overcoming obstacles,

                                       Octopus's tentacles.

Premium Member Show Me the Way To Go Hame

Hic, Hic, hiccup, oh my
had several drinks
over the last few hours
and my poor head is spinning

Hic pardon me 'tis the drink
my feet seem to be both left
I keep tripping over ouch
maybe a last one for the road

Hic that was not so wise
my hame is down this way
ohm maybe not I can't see
everything is in triplicate

"Hey there Tommy help me hame
I can not seem to find it"
"Well, Jimmy my lad, dear me
you sure are a sad sight

Looking like you fell
landing in a dirty gutter
lets get you to your hame
afore ought else happens"

Staggering along together
they heard the bells ring
"ock, New Year, hells bells
the hen will be mad at me"

I promised I would be hame
afore the midnite hour
Jimmy, came a harsh call
get your backside in here

Hey, hen do not be mad
I brought Tommy hame
he helped me after I fell
pour us a round of drinks

Let us toast in the New Year
several drinks later
not a simple peep
just the odd snore and snort

hen scottish for partner or wife
 hame scottish for home
 midnite scottish for midnight

A Film On the Water

Sir Rule, Ian Ballew and Ock, a marine
set off on a houseboat to study
the difference between greenish-blue and bluish-green.

The deep blue sky on that fog-foggiest of days
they mistakenly thought was the sea
which explains why to us, when they saw a green haze -

Ian whooped, "It's a film on the water!" And so...
Sir Rule smirked, "Ock, go get us some popcorn and Pepsi."
Ock started to cuss, "---, why do I always have to go?

Since blue means profane and if naive spells out green,
Who wins the Oscar? It's not hard to see -
greenish-blue, naively-profane - Ock, a marine.
or if you prefer:
bluish-green, profanely-naive - still Ock, a marine.

Author's Notes: The names in this piece are puns for the colors, cerulean blue and aquamarine. No reflection on the hard working Marines who serve our country so well.

I'M Spider-Man

(This is a fictional poem)

I soar through the air as I shoot webs from my hands.
When people see me, they say there goes Spider-man.
A few years ago I was bitten by a radioactive spider.
After my uncle was murdered, I became a crimefighter.

My spider sense tingles and I can sense danger.
When I brought in my uncle's killer, I was full of anger.
I have spider strength and I can climb walls.
When I battle villains, I defeat them all.

I fight the Green Goblin, Doc Ock and other villains too.
It's what we superheroes have sworn to do.
Because of my contribution, the police just arrested the Kingpin.
Villains constantly try to defeat me but they never win.
