There's a quaint little cross roads town that nestles in the shadow,
Of majestic Pikes Peak called Punkin Center in eastern Colorado.
The prime business in town is the Punkin Center Tack and Feed Store,
Where farmers and ranchers congregate to shoot the bull and more!
There you'll find fellers in bib overalls and John Deere tractor caps,
Cowboy hats, scruffy boots, faded jeans and greasy leather chaps.
Some spit streams of terbaccy juice - others enjoy roll-yer-own smokes,
And the air is rant with guffaws as they ply each other with bawdy jokes!
There are Ford 150, Dodge Ram and Chevy Silverado pickups galore,
Waitin' for their owners to load up on this and that from the store.
But they ain't in no hurry - besides it looks like a norther is on the way.
The Punkin Center Tack and Feed Store is a great place to idle time away!
Clyde Purpleears, the owner, stocks plentiful supplies for those in need:
Fertilizer, saddles, bales of hay, manure forks, hog and chicken feed,
Baler twine, hip boots for muckin' out the barn as well as various seeds,
Milk buckets, lariat rope, gloves, shotgun shells and stuff for killin' weeds!
Clyde displays the latest in coyote traps, steel posts and barbed wires,
Nose rings for randy bulls, post hole diggers and John Deere tractor tires!
As the shadow of Pikes Peak creeps over Punkin Center 'bout half past four,
Clyde shoos the loafers out of the Tack and Feed store and closes the door!

Leaves Sing a Lullaby
Sweet and innocent baby, skin of soft powdery scents, kiss of sweet nectar
Fields of spring flowers blooming against the hill
with delicate rainbow colors dancing to the whispers of the gentle breeze
Butterflies and bumble bees emerging from nestled rest
and generate igniting the efflorescence of life
As the tree’s limbs nestles and cradles the innocent child
underneath its shade,
gentle breeze flows between emerald green leaves
and it sings a lullaby with the whisper of its leaves

Genesis 1:16 Context
13And the evening and the morning were the third day. 14And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: 15And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. 16And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. 17And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, 18And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. 19And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.
Out on the porch at faint light
Cool air surrounds the poet
It transports to a quieter time
Don't you just know it
Silver sliver moon
Nestles rough scars, dark side....
Star of the morning
Surrounded by artic blue sky
Brush stroked with streaks of light gray
As doves softly sing their morning song
A magenta sun warms.
Tips of silhouetted forest pines
Seen through spider web catching swarms
The sunbeam light fills closer trees
Its brighter light reduces
Star of the morning to a dot.
Clouds moving across confuses
The beam of the sun reaches out
Gives the writer improved light
Reveals all her mistakes
Clouds turning magenta delight
What a way to start the morning
Enjoying cool given
God in His mercy grants this time
These moments create a haven
I know this is a duke's mixture/probably plenty of grammatical mistakes, etc.
Bequeathed between two golden sheets
Undine dims the light in candle’s ululation
Reposed she rescues dusky husky groans
Low and behold her mountain quivers
Among the valley’s heezed pleasures’ height
Pure nubile hessian rugs unfold a magic matching ride
Alleviated sorrow levitates small lusty deaths
Nirvana nestles breezes sweet surrender
Dharma shivers solemnly four noble truths
Serenity and Serendipity shine Sex and Senses
At altitude of fiery fabric one drape of Burlan
Transposes skin on skin much more than satin
In love she trusts when smooth vibrations
Nurse naked native nights engulfed in sated touch

That Boyish Grin.
I received a message from this guy
Quite handsome and debonair,
He said he liked my picture
He found it quite exceptionally fair.
Surprise of course consumed me
My “Fair Days” quite gone by
And my age a little bit older
As I told him feeling quite shy
He said, “Age is just a number,
Not to be confused with the heart
It finds its own way to the soul
Where it nestles to never depart
Well, we started a conversation
Talking carefully to each other
And we had a lot in common
I found him more than a potential lover
From all I gathered from things he said
I found him sensitive and kind.
There aren’t many like him in the world
And I would be honored if he were ….mine.
I do not know his heart
But it is something I hope to win
And I look forward to the day
When I can see his boyish grin

It's been a while I handled my humble muse like this.
Here is a duet between Mfoniso Ubaha and Wems Henry Temmy
MU
I am fine.
You smile with head up, saying; good.
I chuckled, putting up a dirty smile
And you call it beautiful.
I said: okay, you believed it
Without knowing how not okay I am.
WHT
You are mine.
I travel miles with eyes closed, murmuring; food.
I winks, seeing your falling smile...
How fast it becomes artful.
Oh yeah, hmm,the fall hits!
And drive me lonely till you closed your arm.
MU
I am sick but hides it.
I prefer my depression to you--
It is more real than you are.
I put you out to avoid your s.
I lied to you, you loved it, then you don't know
I pretended for life, to live the life I live.
I am a lier and you don't know.
WHT
I longed for thy lips glee that fits.
As thy fainting pressure reads true.
I may be seen to be afar...
But my heart's hole measures feelings omitted
For all the packages you filed won't go,
Even when it dives;
To relieve your painted feelings, it glows...
MU
I got a thick skin and an elastic heart.
Your blunt barb can't sting me in.
Your Poisons didn't reach my vessels...
That my system was undisturbed.
There I live undamaged.
I survived stresses and strain ...
I am unbreakable.
WHT
I embraced the tears tearing its limit apart;
While the fear blocked the bin,
That for peace, you grow unnoticed nestles
Where the prolonged brace is well managed
And the strives thrive though in pain.
Yet, the cross for both becomes bearable.

I was a successful, fashionable florist, in mild green days of elegant gardens,
When an orange sun beamed its pleasure, like locales where lavender begins.
I formed arrangements for many occasions, drawing beauty lovers from afar,
As pretty planets arrange for a meeting, after wild rumors of the newest star.
And crowded hours were filled with summer, like pearly dews crowd morning,
Until ruby butterflies are playing tag, and gemmed damselflies are swarming.
Friends felt I might always be found, in some area of flush bloom fragrancies,
Like raven midnight's march to daybreak, with its warm, varicolored agencies.
Fond family held festive feasts, in fading hours of sparkly, fuchsia sun falling,
As whippoorwill songs clashed with red robin's, midst magenta stars gawking.
I lived in the house of tangy, saturated noon, when flowers were in full glory,
Like the most beautiful day of a woman's life, when a bride she's come to be.
Scarlet, saffron and other hues glittered, within the soulful sector of summer,
As starlings sang songs along my street, and sun rose and retired, a stunner!
Neighbors were nomadized at times, as honeydew moon nestles in new night,
When visiting me on eves of silk and satin, when fresh June was at its height.
Silver clouds were saddled with summer sun, in suddenly days of sweet rose,
Like grey encumbering smoke from autumn fires, when in plum mists it flows.
Raven noon was in green treetops, as the inarticulate ravens were squawking,
And fading time seemed to stand still, but ephemeral moments kept walking.
One day I woke to a gorgeous view from my window, daisies pink and yellow,
In the wide field right next to my house, glowing in the rich, sunshine mellow!
It put such a smile on my face, oh my! Like flocks of pretty blue jays going by,
And I kept seeing daisies everywhere I went, like a pearlescent moon on high!
I beheld African daisies and shasta, and pom pom-like chrysanthemum ones;
Along with fine lustrous gerberas, in all colors found, in wild green kingdoms.
I wondered at my strange, good fortune, in seeing beloved blooms anywhere;
Like the young, butterscotch days when Mother said, 'We're going to the fair!'
For awhile, I saw sweet daisies by day, and it seems I dreamt daisies at night;
Like a brief mystic spell of rapture, when hidden beauty's freed from its plight.
Midst the bosom of an exuberant field nestles a lonesome dainty dandelion.
I was here so many times before but I didn't see its existence like today.
Despite the blossoming azalea flowers behind it, it never fails to exude
an ethereal captivating beauty ~ reminding me how fleeting moments are ~
no matter how good, they wont last! I kneel down to feel the magic of its spell and touch its skinny stem instead lest I might pluck the fragile petals. I close my eyes in reverie, but before I could make a wish~
star-like seeds disperse
adrift in the air so swift
left alone ~ the moon

Revving the Ante
She ploughs down the sidewalk on steeled chrome
A free spirit victorious of sorts over senile dementia
Got a quad-bike for her birthday and defeats her age
Che Guevara bandana nestles her orange purple hair
Bells and whistles attached to a gargantuan lip ring
A modern crusader in cruise control defying the odds
The sweet smell of illicit indulgence drifts on the path
To heavenly peace with painful joints doped into joy
That she never surrendered when age has crept in
She sports the number tattoo on her kind forearm
Of times she surpassed from evil camps to survive
Her sunken cheek bears an inked motto ‘sod botox’
The world is too poisonous without cheeky remarks
And turmoil has given way to mindfulness’s peace
In which she flows past barriers and speed checks
One day she was not there any longer on the road
Of infinite wisdom screeching through memory lane
But I shall take a tender leaf from her journey and pray

Wonder's Mother, Misery
Digging up the philosophical topic:
Disputing bliss as the ultimate state.
Argues that striving for worthy causes
is crucial to satisfaction.
Told as a narrative:
I settle for serenity before empathy emerges.
Fortune arrives! Freedom's apostle forsakes anguish
Gifted infinite Bliss, my solace destined deservedly
Stream of clarity meanders a universal language
Friction's absence nestles purity imperviously
Embalmed in Calm's acclaimed lake, swan flossed
Rythemical ripples push potent satisfaction
Praises recited by besotted Constancy credulous
echo honey hive hums of hexagonal exaction
Departing debaucherous City vividly abhorred
Putrid brutality writhes with tired rivalries
Beanstalk brings salvation, stem thrust forward
Garnered ease guarantees Eden's glories
Possessive Bliss demands spellbound devotion
Heaven threatened if Bliss discerns disloyalty
Clouds combine to combat empathy's erosion
Chastise my facile option of blind buoyancy
Fog's fugitives scowl at my serenity tenuous
Big top brandishing condemns complacency
Stampede creatures wet sterile to spectacle
Aloof cautions, storm's rampage prophesied
Thunder's scorn in boisterous cloud growls,
" Are your horizons devoid of curiousity?"
Lightning despises consolation Bliss allows
" Ventures usher insight, mishaps carve tenacity. "
My plaintive protest, " Bliss gives reality reprieve."
Vehement gust howls, " Glassy serenity smothers"
Truth edits template, discards denial' s dry leaves
" Necessary Misery is Wonder's Mother."
"Wonder's discoveries honour researchers who develop them
Trials and triumph craft tapestry immaculately woven
Showcased esteem denies distinction endless spectrum
Taunting tranquility extends pledges inevitably broken."
Narcotic Bliss persuades with privilege of inaction
Compassion scaffolds resilience duly collected
Pragmatic rain alerts to a pertinent maxim
Intrigue's face created by Misery's descendant
