Secret Ballot Impeachment
By Franklin Price
1/28/2020

Trump impeachment now in process
Is on the Senate floor.
The Democrats have said their piece,
Rehashed the House, and not much more.

Republicans now have their turn,
Of course, they will defend.
There may be more to testify,
But projected at the end,

Will be a vote of yea or nay,
To dump Trump from his seat.
Republicans voting all for nay
Are impossible to beat.

The balloting is public.
There for all of us to view.
When votes are cast and counted,
The president will not be new.

Rumors now are being tossed,
Some nays would change to yea,
If the vote was made in secret,
When it comes to voting day.

Trump would then be ousted.
The tables would be turned.
The president unseated.
We the People would be burned.

The Republicans who would vote yea
Are not the ones we need.
They are the liars either way,
Who make this country bleed.

No matter how the ballots cast
In secret or in view
Should be the same, it's not a game
Should not be one, much less, a few.

Afterglow: The pleasant remembrance of a past experience

Afterglow

When I think of afterglow, my cheeks,
my whole body becomes tinted, as
the skies in passionate throes of sunset.
What is this makeup we wear, this blush,
the maddening red dye of cascading hair?
Touch, not in sight, but the hide’n seek
of mountains and valleys, limbs and bush.

The afterglow of eyes, hidden in space,
a darkness with flickering stars of fantasy.
Words mostly moaned and moist, measured
by the brilliant treasury of two in oneness.
Forgetfulness of being grounded; flying
with forgotten memories of all in all.

Afterglow of hours, after the vanilla moon
and bubbly champagne, or just a restless day.
The yes, oh yes, not the nays. The bursting
of energy, then a melody of yawns. At dawn,
the colors through metamorphosis of night
have faded, plant the feet from silky sheet
to solid ground. Don’t worry, there are rounds
of such, that are not found in a one night stand.

The marriage bed may seem one and done,
the same sun, moon and stars. You don’t know
how the whole heavenly body draws closer
to examine two as one flesh, quite curious.

Curious the knowledge you find when
you get to know the whole park, punctuated
by a segment of life, the volcanic thundering,
the seasonal depths, the arrest of breaths.
Afterglow shall remain in generation after generation.

Premium Member One Vote

One vote by itself seems less than a wonder
for history is a much larger thing – millions
of nays, millions of yeas, to suggest one small
voice need be heard, to think any little voice could
make a large difference in the greater scheme seems
quite absurd. For one little vote a young man took a
bullet in the throat, left any Opera Ambitions in
Germany, never again to sing a cherished note,
just for the right to cast one tiny vote. For One vote,
Omaha beach took 2,400 lives. For One vote, another
29,000 died in Normandy. For One vote, 5.000 American
boys perished at Guadalcanal, another bloodstained shore.
All having died for one single vote, which democrats
counterfeit and Universities treat like a joke, faux
men in dresses stand in-front of students mocking
a great nation's selfless patriots who donned uniforms
to fight for a land they unitedly love and adore. Lost
limbs in battle yet proudly declare, for cherished freedom
we would honorably sacrifice more. Pervert Demigods, to mush
minded students, preach anarchy, the benefits of Marxist
society, promote all manor of deviant sex and brain deadening
recreational smoke. One vote. One vote. One vote.

Premium Member FAITH IN GOD WHO DESERVES OUR THANKSGIVING

November 24 Faith in God Bible Meditations Based on Romans 1-3

Key Verse – Romans 1:8 First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.

FAITH IN GOD WHO DESERVES OUR THANKSGIVING

God deserves our thanksgiving for Him and His Gospel
Along His Scriptures that spiritually propel
Upon His grace peace, abundantly ample…
By faith, we praise Him in our witness as our great example.

God deserves our thanksgiving for Him and His gift-impartation
Along His power that enabled our eternal salvation
Upon His love of compassionate manifestation…
By faith, we glorify Him in our sincere exultation.

God deserves our thanksgiving for Him and His holiness
Along His goodness that grants us His forgiveness
Upon His mercy transforming us against sinfulness…
By faith, we surrender to Him in our obedience with submissiveness.

God deserves our thanksgiving for Him and His truth-endowment
Along His wisdom that counsels us with discernment
Upon His principles of stewardship-commitment…
By faith, we follow Him in our ministry involvement.

God deserves our thanksgiving for Him and His teaching
Along His precepts that help us in our prayer-beseeching
Upon His doctrines with Biblical wealth’s enriching…
By faith, we learn from Him through zealous preaching.

God deserves our thanksgiving for Him and His blessed assurance
Along His oracles that guide our servanthood-perseverance
Upon His statutes of everlasting endurance…
By faith, we remain in Him victorious forbearance.

God deserves our thanksgiving for Him and His heavenly ways
Along His instructions that govern our triumphant Christian race
Upon His direction toward compliance with yeas not nays…
By faith, we rely on Him through all our glorious days.

Premium Member Never Let Me Go

Never let me go, my Creator-Saviour…
…now that I’m Your named child, grace-in-need;
Nestle my heart within Your love’s nostril
Nail me in Your nearness as to You I draw nigh.

Never let me go, Omnipotent Lord…
…neither allow me succumb to bad new's noise;
Nurture my soul with spiritual nobility
Nourish me midst negligence-naughtiness.

Never let me go, my Guardian Friend…
…no, not in my necessities;
Navigate my neck’s diligence-numbness at night
Notify me midst nuances of doubt-nays’ net.

Never let me go, my Divine Leader…
…nowhere when nastiness negates my nod
Nudge my faith from novice nettles
Negotiate for me against sinfulness-nadir nabs.

Never let me go, my Almighty God…
…nor loosen me toward numberless pride-notches from Your nest;
Note my nakedness as without You I’m nothing*
Nurse me by Your divine nature, nonetheless necessary.

*John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Premium Member Autumnal Haze Love, Seasons, Life, Wonder

Rise slowly from eastward, O western setting sun! Blaze
Anew! Get up, swell the human spirit says
Your constant companion moon of days,
Lending wonder to cardinals, chickadees and ‘jays
                            Who constantly concertize and amaze
Passersby who are in awe of the glaze
Of glory you send! The laze
Of summer creeps upon the landscape, pays
A visit with the promise of ways
                                            To leisurely wind our maze
Through vines tightly wound and gaze
Upon seashore, sand, and plum trees which raise
Our thoughts to delightful eating pleasures; a craze
Of oranges, cinnamons, and chocolates; sways
On breezes, lightly dancing across a phase
Of the setting sun; with piercing yeas
I cheer, settling on her face, the autumnal haze
                                  Reflecting in counterpoint to raze
                                       Prior passages and issue nays!
                                          Recreate browns and grays
                                       Metamorphosizing to new clays!

Premium Member What My Inner Voice Told Me Simon Says

My inner voice, is a two-faced bard,
That takes all credit when a win is starred.
But slinks away and hides when the outcome,
Doesn't match what it said, what's to become.

Can I read its doubt in the quiver of its sage?
Or in the mumbled, jumble of its feeble grab to engage?
It can be so assertive when it has brace of winners in the bag.
Who am I, to shun the chance to cheer a winner's brag?

Your inner voice learned to mimic all your plays,
It's like just a ventriloquist in so many ways,
With you pulling the strings for its 'Simon Says' and 'Nays'.
'Tis the script behind the curtain that the prompt obeys.

Simon Says: "Jump",
Simon Says: "Sit",
"Stand" - Ah Hah!
Gotya! There!

Premium Member My God, Thank You For Granting Me Understanding

July 5 Scripture Meditations Based on Proverbs 28

Key Verse – Proverbs 28:5 Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the LORD understand all things.

MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR GRANTING ME UNDERSTANDING

Thank You for granting me understanding of Your Word
Whenever I seek You without being bored
Becoming prayerful along Your provision-rays
Surely learning from Your statutes I taste as sweet apple, not bitter gourd.

Thank You for granting me understanding of Your ways
Whenever I trust You without delays
Becoming prayerful along Your provision-rays
Surely depending on Your answers of yeas and nays.

Thank You for granting me understanding of Your wisdom
Whenever I prioritize You without feelings of stardom
Becoming eager to advance Your kingdom
Surely enjoying through Your spiritual freedom.

Thank You for granting me understanding of Your worthiness
Whenever I fellowship with You without guiltiness
Becoming delighted with Your holiness
Surely repenting of my sinfulness while begging for Your forgiveness.

Thank You for granting me understanding of Your will
Whenever I abide in You without hypocrisy to stay still
Becoming focused on triumphant Calvary’s hill
Surely obeying Your commandments upon Your promises that fulfill.

Thank You for granting me understanding of Your watch-care
Whenever I hide in You without fears’ nightmare
Becoming grateful that You behold me with Your loving stare
Surely praising Your name in my saved-secured welfare.

Thank You for granting me understanding of Your work-winning
Whenever I labour for You without resigning
Becoming strengthened through Your faith-refining
Surely following Your light for testimony-shining.

As we labour for Him without resigning
Becoming strengthened through His faith-refining
Surely following His light for testimony-shining.
