HEART THAT EXALTS THE LORD FOR HIS GREAT WORKS
Our heart exalts the Lord for His great works upon His Word
As we seek Him without being bored
Becoming prayerful by His provision-rays
Surely learning from His statutes we taste as sweet apple, not bitter gourd.
Our heart exalts the Lord for His great works upon His ways
As we trust Him without delays
Becoming prayerful along His provision-rays
Surely depending on His answers of yeas and nays.
Our heart exalts the Lord for His great works upon His wisdom
As we prioritize Him without feelings of stardom
Becoming eager to advance His kingdom
Surely enjoying through His spiritual freedom.
Our heart exalts the Lord for His great works upon His worthiness
As we fellowship with Him without guiltiness
Becoming delighted with His holiness
Surely repenting of our sinfulness while begging for His forgiveness.
Our heart exalts the Lord for His great works upon His will
As we abide in Him without hypocrisy to stay still
Becoming focused on triumphant Calvary’s hill
Surely obeying His commandments along His promises He does fulfill.
Our heart exalts the Lord for His great works upon His watch-care
As we hide in Him without fears’ nightmare
Becoming grateful that He beholds us with His loving stare
Surely praising HIs name in our saved-secured welfare.
Our heart exalts the Lord for His great works upon His work-winning
As we labour for Him without resigning
Becoming strengthened through His faith-refining
Surely following His light for testimony-shining.
