In the Memory of My Allen Forest

To day I am thinking
About those memorable moments
I spent during my childhood
Amid the natural surroundings of
A deep lake surrounded by a dense forest.

The forest was so tall, deep and green
With its fearing darkness some where and
It's alluring enchanting beauty every where
That it was difficult to resist visiting the forest
Almost every day.

The lake was so heavenly beautiful calm and quite
Like the quietness of the sound sleep
That I use to sit for hours watching the dancing
Fishes and water plants and mosses and the setting Sun
While dipping my feet in the friendly lake water.

Oh, the pleasure of those moments
Is still alive in my mind
Like the Daffodil’s of William Wordsworth
And it often flashes in my mind
Giving me the same pleasure and Joy
Which as a child & Youngman I had enjoyed
About forty years back.

In these forty years lot many things have changed
All around me, including the Lake of my Allen Forest
A thin Lake is still there, visible during rainy season
But without that clear water and the quietness of Sound
And the forest has no longer remained the same
As it use to be about Forty years back
When it use to fill me with the joy of it’s refreshing air
And the Music of birds, falling leaves and the sound of silence.

That old lake and that lush green forest has left a deep impression
On mind and heart giving me the blessings of solitude
And making itself immortal in the minds of those who
Had seen it in its prime beauty and greenness
I often remember the man Allen who had built his small dwelling
Surrounded by the forest near the Lake and made this forest more
Beautiful without disturbing the natural surroundings
To enjoy the Blessings of Nature in its fullness about hundred years back

I am thankful to God for giving my childhood an opportunity of
Living amid the blessings of beautiful Nature - the Allen forest, the Lake
The Patther College, and the Holy River Ganges, which still flows at a
Little distance now instead of touching the forest
As it uses to be about forty Years back.

Reverencing Nature

Creation energy in each atom glows.
Electron-bound sacred unity –
Thus, reverence for nature inside me grows
When I walk through rustling sheaves.
And I know in my heart power flows there,
In each cell throughout the trees –
And all the while I go with a smile,
Knowing joys that nature weaves.
By the energy bound within all compounds--
In the wind and in the trees –
A great strength from which honor mellows
Believes the joys nature conceives.

And this is why honor to nature goes,
And the universe receives: --
Form from a shapeless power emerged,
Physical matter conceives.
Afterward, substance gained its shape,
Now, the universe receives.
Tiny atoms shine their light
In each tree and in the leaves –

The beginning, surrounding as unity abounds,
Thus Pantheists…worship agrees –
Praises to nature! (a believer knows,
The universe its might weaves.)
Energy sparks verve, living…thrilling.
Starting life, an atom achieves.

Universal essence throughout nature astounds.
From one cell, another follows –
Spiritual mentality knows –
Realities sacredness nature resounds,
Within an elated heart billows,
Freeing the energy within all living souls.
Cosmic unity within man and trees –

As life’s passage one takes and of it sense makes,
Thinking of the trees and its leaves.
When, looking toward skies wherein night beauties rise
Worships nature and believes.
For thus it is, pantheist reverence nature’s pure bliss,
Adore natural matter; respect all that is.
For in trees and in the leaves –
Omnipotent universe perceives.

The Cocktail

Quiet! Listen; Nature calling
Her voice so gentle, an ultimate passion
So sweet, so tender; so meek, so mild
Not in the roars of floods, earthquakes or hurricanes
Nor even the call to ease one’s self
But a beautiful disaster, closer at heart
That brings to mind nostalgic memories
Of the wonder of our home called Earth
Its orderly splendor, perfection’s rebirth
With phenomenon so glorious to behold
In distorted occurrences; a story to be told

The night is here this morn
The moon, this day overcomes the sun
Slowly but surely, he takes his steps
In a dance so teasingly before her
His weight he throws about to annoy her
For a few minutes battle to win
For a moment of display as the sun’s assassin

This day, the first law of creation defiled
Permission sought from the Maker above
By the sun, the moon, and some hell of brave stars
To struggle for some space and time in the sky
A scarce ritual in renewal of their forceful friendship
Then to return being friendly foes
Each apportioned reign, be day or night
As nature demands of them
As creation requires of them

Men and women, old and young
All behold this awesome sight
In fear though some may be
Great curiosity dares them to see
Heads held high in reach for the sky
Bulging eyes in search; one destination in mind
Mouths open in shock of the stunning design
Brains work to appreciate the scenario it finds

A view of a journey to the sun by the moon
A visit not entertained by his host for long
The tiny moon, who destructs the king of lights
Makes mockery of her to the world at large

Such great heroism displayed
That bathes the sun in total humiliation
Hence, burns furiously than ever
In a desperate quest for vengeance
And a fearful act of retaliation
For a once cherished great a dignity
For a now destroyed good a reputation.

A Butterfly Fluttering

A Butterfly Fluttering
          *     *     *
A butterfly and all things in nature, living and non-living are abundantly AMAZING!

Borne to niches; survival, dependent-independent, necessarily disguised by BEAUTY
Undeniably, dazzling, each scene, creature, and phase since the beginning, UPLIFTS
Together, the mortal task, survival amid the “Food Chain” taunts and TANTALIZES!
Through trials in life, man learns spiritual wisdom, and receives inner TRANQUILITY
Triumphantly God’s splendor decorates each new day; He watches EVERLASTINGLY
Flowers adorn life with fruit and honey; and a microbe working the soil FLOURISHES!
Luster, in nature embraces life-stretching dreams across all boundaries with LOVE
Yesterday, marvelous newness enlivened the soul, in springtime; all of nature YEARNS.

Fulfillment comes shadowing butterflies fluttering and thanking God FOREVER
Luxury tempts the mind, but souls thrive reverently upon God’s words: wise LIVING,
Understanding and replenishing our natural world, begins as purpose is UNITED.
Together, we must respect nature, conserve, and care; spread the word by TEACHING!
Tomorrows can be made” brighter and more wonderful by: replenishing, TENDING!
Earth can, again, become healthy and self-sufficient; safeguard its ENVIRONMENTS
Remember, respect Earth's resources, regardless of profits; life must be REGARDED
Irresponsibility must end; replenishment is the responsibility of all, INDIVIDUALLY.
No longer can we sit back and watch while greed destroys; earth needs NURTURING.
Greet the future with honor, strength; walk the path to heal; and work, GRATEFULLY.

Dedicated to my dear friend and neighbor, Joan, who has a special love for butterflies.

The Evergreen Cradle

Listen to the wilderness and the stories it’ll tell
From its birth joy and sorrow to the moment it fell

Listen to its sighs as another day dies
Noticed by no one but the shrill winds cries

Hear its praise to the one who bore it at birth
A true queen of queens whom they call mother earth

Hear it sing to you of the things you never knew
From it’s suffering and pain that it had to go through

Listen to it call you back and beg that you wont attack
Instead help to save humanity before the world goes black

Listen to nature introduce its enormous kin
It’ll only ask for mercy and acceptance of your special kind of twin

Listen to vines and follow their lines back to your cradle
Shut out society’s realities and run fast if you’re able

For nature won’t stand too long and fight
It’ll beckon to you instead and pray you find the light

Nature will nurture, love and protect from the evils of society that infect
It will raise you and teach respect, to save others who are emotionally wrecked

Let nature captivate you and take you away, to an evergreen Eden not so far away
Listen to the voices from within, and the things they say to help you survive life’s torments
each and every day

For the world has become a scary place to live in it seems
It’s a harsh cold glass globe that will shatter all your dreams

But if you manage to survive, and pull through the fake and constant negativity, nature will
spar but then lift you up like a star
So let it embrace you from afar, show this world full of demons the true angel that you are.

Sensational Touch

When i step on to the wet grass...
with my bare feet,
i feel its warmth...
a sensation too sweet.
Stamping the droplets of dew,
my heart sings out with glee.
I stretch out my arms,
and dream just to be free.....

A step forward i take...
to feel the beauty so rare.
I feel the sun rays closing my eyes,
n stopping me to feel its glare.
It gave me such a warmth in that cold winter day,
oh heavenly!!! is all that i could say..
It made the earth as gold, to shine,
i was glad that all that was mine.

As i turned around....
i saw the nature at its best.
It was filled with magnificent beauties...
pink n yellow daisies...white n blue lilies.
It gave me such a joy in my heart,
i thought that i am so lucky to be a part.
A fragrance so fresh n rare,
so holy that i could always be there.

When i gazed toward the sky,
i wished that like the birds i could fly.
no boundaries n no limits.....
just me... flying high and high.
They filled the sky with their chirping,
so divine, as a melancholy they could sing.
As the sun fell to dusk...
each one found their way to home.

Such is the nature honey!
with so much of beauty and charm.
It fills our heart with joy...
only happiness it gives... no harm.
I like to worship you oh lord,
like to thank you for this scenic beauty.
I promise to save this unconditional gift,
and to protect it, will be my duty.

Nature Walk

Enter the garden, stop by the gate.
Listen, as a bluebird calls his mate.

Breathe in the potpourri of scent.
Enjoy, this nature walk event.

See the butterfly as he flies by,
making its descent, from on high.

Tissue wings of spotted amber lace,
gliding with deliberate grace.

A perfect rose, wrapped up tight,
spreading open, to your delight.

Awakening from the night gloom,
bursting open, see it bloom.

Beyond lays the forest, oh so dense.
Shroud in mystery, a hint of suspense

Walk the carpet of dampened moss,
sprinkled with a dewy gloss.

Blankets of foliage form a cocoon,
hiding the sunlight of high noon

So many sounds, a rhythmic chorus.
Thirsty earth, drinking, forever porus.

Ahead, a fallen tree in the path,
victim of a thunderstorm wrath

Finally the trees give way,
bathed I am in the light of day.

Hark, I hear, the distant roar
welcoming in tranqillity, the seashore.

Dunes of sand, with pearly beach.
Lapping waves, within my reach.

Open splendor, in shades of blue, hides,
the depth of the ocean spilling in tides

Beautiful, alive, magestic to behold
becomes a sepulcher, icy and cold.

The sun so bright, takes a rest.
Sinking, ever so slowly, in the west.

Sounds of nature follow the flight,
across the horizon, into the night.

Natures Miracles *****Sapiens Never Measured

Ground trembled
Houses fell, city mangled
Loss and Chaos bull having free run

Many deaths, overnight many born as new orphan
On Ritchers scale, quake measured by *****Sapien

Human destroying Nature on big scale
Natures Tit Tat tale
Wail trail

Global Warming bleeds
Mercury soaring day and night
Nature breached
Humans shall burn, just not sweat
Human Ash in Earth's Oven

Measured Calamity, Natures miracles *****Sapiens never measured
Sunrise, lunar phases, twinkling stars
Blood, pregnancy, katabolism, photosynthesis, cell construction
Jungle, river, valley, mountain, Natures miracles umpteen

Apathy abound, none thinks altruistically about natural restoration
Reduce Mining, Deforestation, Pollution, Reclamation,
Measured Calamity, Natures miracles *****Sapiens never measured
Forgetting Natures havoc is triggered by human havoc causing Nature’s scars

Self-restraint is way to halt Natures destruction
Go green, lessen carbon emission
Save Earth, conserve Nature should be everyone’s mission
Ritcher’s Scale may not be needed, if human increases organic consumption
Measured Calamity, Natures miracles *****Sapiens never measured

Premium Member The Tree We Grew To Love

At the bottom of our garden
Standing for many many years
Below seasonal greens and blossoms
And all of natures tears

This gem of harvesting joy
Showered crops of richness grow
For season after season
When autumn came it showed

It's fruits of life stood out
Against the nature of each day
And all who graced this marvel
Were always said to say

This tree from mother earth
Has given year after year
In rain, hail or shine
In beautiful appear

Again this year we were graced
With baskets of apple gold
But sadness cloaked our hearts
For our tree would never grow old

The first winter storm
Spewed bolts of lightning blue
Amidst the claps of thunder
Was gone the tree we knew

We were awoken in the night
By creaks of deafening cry
Looking out the window
Brought tears to our eyes

This marvel that we grew up with
Was cut down in it's prime
For nature had decided
That this was not it's time

The very next morning
Amongst the devastation
Was our tree of life
Shattered, lay her creation

Now many months have passed
On this stump we have grown to love
And recall that stormy night
And that bolt from above

Nature's Symphony

Twilight, not yet dawn,
                        Awaits ascent of the sun
Bringing hues of blue, orange, violet, red, and purple
The Aurora…the bright dawning, the daybreak
The birds began to sing their morning songs
A soft breeze joins Nature’s Symphony
Nature becomes a symphony of sound & beauty
                       Nature's scenic phenomenon.
                        Nature reached a crescendo
                         Sunrise, the beginning

At dusk, day's end, the sunset
The eventide, the gloaming, the twilight
The sunset, evermore brightly colored than sunrise
As the sun sets over the horizon, nature falls silent
                         A scenic phenomenon
                  Which only nature could orchestrate
                      Birds sing evening songs
                         Last songs of the day
                      Nature's concert once again,
                        Begins again at sunrise
                             Sunset, the end
