Anyone Game? The Mini Reeses Cup Mystery

Yes, it surely did boggle our minds!
And at first, only I had seen it...
but I knew to speak out was a must!
Some big trouble he's going to face
if for sure he did eat them all up!
for his sugar would go through the roof!

"Oh dear, NO," he now answers..."sorry,
for I thought, likewise, YOU ate them up!"
All the Reeses cups minis are gone;
and we have no clue where they all went.
So our 'cranium', we have to use...
try to guess who took all of our treats!
Aggravation like this, we don't need.

With our plan of precise perfection,
we search all of the room...then spot it,
finding one Reeses near TV stand...
we quick open the wide, the middle door,
and, ker plunk, one lone cup falls right out...
with some thirty or more stashed inside...
a few munched on or foil slightly pierced!

Such a, keen operation for sure!
He had stuffed them thru large hole behind.
So we scrabble to find a mouse trap!
Took a risk, yet somehow, he was caught.
A Monopoly he had in mind;
and his trivial pursuit....soon grew
to become quite a real major heist!
Try to steal our best candy...taboo!

Lok Geet – jhulava pe baith …….In Hindi

jhulava pe baith, man karata, bahut mera
hota aaj, yahaan par, mera bhee man meet
badha deta, mere jhoole kee, peng aakaash tak

chhoo letee door, shyaam baadalon ko, main bhee
meghon se, machal-machal, kahatee tab ye main

.
English version

While sitting on the swing I feel and wish
If my beloved too would have been here with me
He would have pushed my swing up to the sky
And like butterfly I would fly in the air
So that I may touch the dark clouds resembling my beloved
And I would say and insist again and again to those clouds
To take me in arms and wet me, O’ clouds to show your love. 01

In Hindi

English version
.
Then while dancing and rejoicing I would tell the winds
O’ winds, please do not take away these dark clouds
Let them shower their rains forming mini drops on me
I would take all of them in my lap
Let the Gulal (powder of colorful dust) of clouds fly in rainy season
Only then Kanha* would come to see my condition
When my face too would be red like the colors of Gulal.

Premium Member Pondering of a Puddle

Ponded and becalmed after the downpour, lying in shining stillness, I reflect an earthly existence; above me newly leafed limbs, and beyond, the wild beauty of motley skies in the afternoon’s brightening quietude. On the side of a country back road, I daydream. As leftover clouds drift in light and dark moods across my mirrored face, I ponder the possibilities of ‘what ifs’. What if life had taken me elsewhere - to a different time and place, filling another space, in another form and shape? What if I had fallen soft as a summer drizzle instead, dressing spider webs in misty strings of mini crystal beads.. or had filled a rusty-relic watering can, left behind ages ago beside an ivy-smothered stump.. or maybe had been wind-whipped with a vengeance into a swollen river rough and ready to ride the rapids.. What if, I had fallen as snow eons ago and now was found deep in an ice core in Antarctica.. how exotic! Straying cumulus find themselves captured in my imagination as well as in my liquid looking-glass oval, and my thoughts stray back to the soothing smoothness of my present reality. I know my time here, though sweet, is short-lived; and so I set my pondering aside and decide to seize upon the moment with contentment in my tranquil state of repose.

placid puddle mulls
lost in reflections of clouds -
spring rains laid to rest

Another Rainy Day

While waiting for sun
enjoying the water
of laughter and fun
just drip, drop, dribble
No dampening of spirits here,
doesn’t matter
so let the rains come,
and I will just sing along…
The birds are twittering in the trees
joining in nature’s mini concert
The wind is whistling,
Then whooshy~ whoosh!
of the drumbeat rains and slish sloshing puddles
Just to break the monotony
Then amidst the gray I will wear fuchsia pink
I’ll just imagine I’m at sea
Pink toes with metallic pewter nails
what the heck, let me wade through it
even though it’s kind of ewwy
As the flood waters rise,
with these rains I will sail away
Doesn’t matter if the sky is falling,
I’m feeling high and happy, so I will let my hair down

Premium Member Colourful Wooden Tulips

I want to give my only yellow mini tulip away
To the daughter of my beloved late cousin,
So the memory of her will never slip away
From our minds and hearts deep within.

I recently gave a symbol of love, a red tulip away
To my newfound lover who I knew would win
My heart in how he engages with me every day,
How he passionately makes us both sin.

I am yet to give a blue tulip to someone someday,
As a symbol of friendship and peace between Djinn.
I want to meet him again, soon, someday.
But maybe, his heart, I will never win.

I bought a vase of mini tulips I saw on the way,
Considered it for someone who may be my twin,
But I realize it was too much for someone anyway.
So I bought them for myself, even if self-love is a sin.

Premium Member Pieces Of Puzzles

Our differences are like the pieces of a puzzle called life.

Are two beings of any species perfectly the same?
Could the resemblance of a thing be its exactness too?
Isn't each creature a mini-universe in itself?
Each, by way of life, seems as though caged in a common zoo.

Like lions in dominance; the camouflage of a tiger;
Restless enthusiasm of monkeys; calmness of cattle;
Like birds of the air, with aspirations to fly higher
Each moment of our daily existence is a battle.

Though, like dolphins, we care, like crabs, we pull each other's legs.
Like good craftsmen, we construct; like bad ones, we destruct
In solving puzzles, we put in the same box all our eggs.
With strangers the keys to our own homes, we gladly entrust

From birth until the end of life, this puzzle continues.
In peacefully passing through this puzzle lies life's perfect muse.

Dating Sites

I joined a dating agency
thought I would try the game.
There are lots of single people,
      Folks who are the same.

     Those who are just lonely
     but many needing more.
     Surely there is many
     that really want to score!

I put in all my details
so sure the Babes would cry,
     telling everthing about me
the majority of facts a lie.

I was thinking six foot legies
      with mini skirts so high,
      bosums spilling over
I would be their type of guy.

I filled in lots of questions
        and then prepared to wait,
       patience not a virtue
        to find my perfect mate.

       See that damn computer
       and all those dating sites,
       I really hate them all
        with all my breathing might!

How come they all know me
        I can"t believe my luck,
         this is a total mishmash
the whole thing it does suck!

Guess who I am married too
         they"ll never be my pal!
I think I was to honest
or the systems known as Hal!

They"ve matched me to a pizza
a cold one caught on tape,
         that took a DVD home
         called Planet of the Apes!

The Cat

My current companion is my cat,
My mini-predator
Right now half dozing peacefully beside me.

She isn’t really mine,
For a cat belongs to no one.
My cat is the perfect hedonist
Unlike my dog who thinks it’s all about me.

Still, I marvel at her controlled power and grace,
The way she goes from sleeping
To ready to spring and pounce in an instant,
My tiger in a ten-pound package.
She captivates me by being sometimes aloof,
Sometimes affectionate when it suits her purpose.

What is behind those wily, intelligent,
Inscrutable green eyes?
I don’t think I truly want to know what she’d say.
I might find what she really thinks of me!

But we accept each other
And we have an understanding.
We are friends if I accept her friendship on her terms.
I feed and care for her
And in return she allows me to admire her.

Premium Member Durham Bulls

DURHAM BULLS

A triple-A minor league team,
most remember Bull Durham the movie.
I, the most spectacular firework set,
in the stormy sky. The kind of lightening show,
I think I shall never see again. The stands erupted
with screams and yells

                                           “Chicken! Chicken! Chicken”

Well, we are in the South, with their choice of entertainment.
Looking left and right, wondering at the uproar.

The ground wet, the sky still, a mini diamond
for a balking bird, a mascot of sorts,
running bases, while the crowd cheers.

The game back on, after sweeping away flood waters.
Every home run produces red eyes and a snort, steam
aggressively fighting from the nostrils of the famous bull.

My young nephew,
proudly walks away with a team jacket.
Whether the game was won or lost, I don’t remember,
except we had such fun. Our American past time,
memories last forever.

Premium Member Power Outage SK

We have had mini outages before;
But this outage was no mini.
8 nights without power is major.

The rural water association also
Lost power, and for a few days,
We were without running water.

The first four days and nights
Were the most criticle, because
We had no electricity and no generator.
The freezer foods remained frozen.
And we were blessed with 'no loses',
Because a friend loaned his generator.

Interesting enough, we received a call
Yesterday about aid from an agency,
But we were happy to decline, because
We made it through without any food loses.
Discomfort and stress? Warm and blessed?
Yes and YES. God is good.
