Another Rainy Day

While waiting for sun
enjoying the water
of laughter and fun
just drip, drop, dribble
No dampening of spirits here,
doesn’t matter
so let the rains come,
and I will just sing along…
The birds are twittering in the trees
joining in nature’s mini concert
The wind is whistling,
Then whooshy~ whoosh!
of the drumbeat rains and slish sloshing puddles
Just to break the monotony
Then amidst the gray I will wear fuchsia pink
I’ll just imagine I’m at sea
Pink toes with metallic pewter nails
what the heck, let me wade through it
even though it’s kind of ewwy
As the flood waters rise,
with these rains I will sail away
Doesn’t matter if the sky is falling,
I’m feeling high and happy, so I will let my hair down

Awww...'whooshy~ whoosh' sound so cute! :X Loved that you used alliteration here, it gives it an extra taste! ;) I just love rainy days...U2 had a great song 'bout them, too. :P

It's such a lovely poem, Nikko - I didn't even realise it was backwards, til I saw the footnote. I loved the flood waters that were kind of ewwy LOL
