Oh, what a strange yet seemingly typical phenomenon it is these days
But hearing of folks sinking into a state of forgetfulness -
Lying on their beds or in the public streets, drunk or stoned out of their minds.
It is most unfortunate that so many people today wish to
Vanish themselves from the world and bury themselves
In deliberate ignorance, unmindfulness, unawareness,
Or even complete unconsciousness to escape their miserable circumstances.
Nobody is meant to be perpetually oblivious unless they're in an actual coma!

A DEDICATION TO THE QUEEN OF SOUL: Aretha Franklin

Settled in the Saviour’s steadfastness...
...satisfied am I within His security.
Saved by God from sin’s wages...
...sure is my soul toward heaven's serenity.
Sealed with the Holy Spirit*...
...set am I to shine forth with Christian sincerity
Sanctified to serve the Lord...
...sweet is my fellowship with Him midst Satan's subtlety.
Strengthened spiritually upon Scriptures...
...studying His statutes subdues my superfluity
Set to spread His love with the Son’s compassion-stirring...
…striving am I since He separates me within His safety.
*Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise.

Forty years have slipped By
Out of thought, far from my minds eye.
No more images of – no tears do I cry.
You have been gone these forty years.
No more does my memories hoard shed tears
for what the Grand took form me,
rivers flooding, towards the sea.
For thirty years, you haunted my soul.
Bad luck was all I came to know.
On the anniversary, thirtieth year, I did show
you, it was time to move on, time to let go
of this plane, this time - 3rd month, 13th day, 1973 –
forgive yourself, forgive me and let it all be.
That moment in time, history
it seems, no longer is it my story.
I completely forgot about you.
I guess that is what time will do,
leave bitter sweet moments of time,
the memories of, what was yours and mine.
There has come this time, come the stage
were upon we play out our parts in rage
then for the rest of life, stand in the wings
and watch others, who know other things
that to our waning life, bring
sweet notes only angles may sing.
Fate ?, fear ?, my friend - I can not say,
all I know, is that I lived to see another day
and for many, many years I did pray
that your soul, your spirit would slip away,
no longer be the apparition people did see,
no longer be the force that haunted me.

March 25 Scripture Meditations Based on 1Chronicles 11-15
Key Verse – 1 Chronicles 11:2 And moreover in time past, even when Saul was king, thou wast he that leddest out and broughtest in Israel: and the LORD thy God said unto thee, Thou shalt feed my people Israel, and thou shalt be ruler over my people Israel.
MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR RULING OVER ME
Thank You for ruling over me by Your sovereignty
Along Your leading authority
With Your guiding majesty
As well as Your feeding bounty.
Thank You for ruling over me by Your mercy
Along Your directing supremacy
With Your controlling clemency
As well as Your forgiving fervency.
Thank You for ruling over me by Your victory
Along Your triumphing ministry against worry
With Your conquering glory
As well as Your sin-vanquishing love story.
Thank You for ruling over me by Your holiness-army
Along Your saving grace against hell’s enemy
With Your cleansing sanctification from sins, so abomination-slimy
As well as Your perfecting righteousness when in filth, I’m wickedly gloomy.
Thank You for ruling over me by Your Word steadfastly
Along Your guarding wisdom constantly
With Your governing truth diligently
As well as Your girding-up ways amazingly.
Thank You for ruling over me by Your theology
Along Your training principles for biblical pedagogy
With Your instructing precepts toward stewardship’s andragogy
As well as Your teaching discipleship without any apology.

“The inner beacon flashes in the tempestuous ocean as
the escort in the divine course to the final destination” – By Poet
An ancient mariner in the ocean called life,
I am sailing solemnly seemingly for ages
in the limitless luminosity of the sunshine,
and in the drifting course where trying tempest rages.
On the sapphire swells of the swaying waves,
rising to the sky and falling to the trough low,
my senile boat pitches, and I struggle hard
to keep on sailing, the voyage is veritably slow.
The film of the moonless night falls silently
on the tossing surface of the ebony ocean.
As the skyline subsides with hope in the dark horizon,
what lies in obtrusive obscurity I’ve no notion.
I’ve promised the ocean I’ll reach the shore yonder,
I need to sail to the end of my time and far.
Forlorn in the unknown ocean losing the bearing,
I search for the omnipresent pole star.
I discover in the end the guiding beacon
of the divine light hidden within me.
Tracing the destined course to the final destination,
its flash I’ve been relentlessly striving so long to see.
The wind on the sagging sail is sluggish,
with its driving draft drained, it can no longer blow.
Before the boat becomes motionless,
to the land of promise I must go.
Waiting for me at the fated fringe of my time,
is the eternal realm of the heavenly shore.
I don’t know why even now
in the tormenting ocean I am for.

If behind the high sea tempest clouds
the pole star disappears,
the ancient mariner in you loses bearing,
the halcyon horizon will rise with hope
in the sunburst dawn,
defining the yonder chromatic shore.
If you lose the rhythm of footsteps
on the tortuous track called life,
don’t forget you promised yourself
to run a long marathon race.
You will reach the winning post
at the end of a painful pursuit.
If you are lost in the labyrinth of living,
searching for the escape route,
find the exit doors closing one by one,
don’t lose the invisible trail of hope,
for at the end of the tunnel
you will see the light of freedom appear.
If the sunshine day runs out fast for you,
the twilight sky falls with the dismal night,
don’t forget the sun must sink
to ascend again, inspiring the Phoenix in you
to rise from the dust,
so, wait for the divine dawn, never say die.

Yielding Himself
a living sacrifice
midst gruesome crucifixion*
upon Calvary’s Hill
Christ* magnified
compassion
graciously at work…
His blood offered
redemption’s ransom
as divine payment
acquitting those trusting Him
the sin-condemned
including me
to own eternal life…
Sealed with pardon-freedom
God's believers gratefully
soar triumphantly by faith
propelled midst obedience
empowered through the Holy Spirit
while blissfully reaching-out
to share love and peace.

Waddling down tangerine trails
Carrying their favorite marmalade pails
Mama Duck and her seven prize ducklings
Waved 'Hi' to a sandy-shelled snail
Leaving their pails in soft saffron sand
The ducklings waded into the foam
Bobbing along bubbly and twinkling surf
They sang out: "No place like home"
Later they found crystal sand in their pails
Built mighty forts and castles galore
Mama's darling, dazzling-white ducklings
Couldn't have asked her for anything more

home for me is in an
old building
that is quite drafty
with floors crooked
but it has huge rooms
that one seldom gets these days
oh, all the windows stick
but have flower window boxes
and there are some strange creaks
and groans in the quiet of night
still, I love my apartment
in this old building
for it is full of character
and I call it home
