Rise From the Dust
If behind the high sea tempest clouds
the pole star disappears,
the ancient mariner in you loses bearing,
the halcyon horizon will rise with hope
in the sunburst dawn,
defining the yonder chromatic shore.
If you lose the rhythm of footsteps
on the tortuous track called life,
don’t forget you promised yourself
to run a long marathon race.
You will reach the winning post
at the end of a painful pursuit.
If you are lost in the labyrinth of living,
searching for the escape route,
find the exit doors closing one by one,
don’t lose the invisible trail of hope,
for at the end of the tunnel
you will see the light of freedom appear.
If the sunshine day runs out fast for you,
the twilight sky falls with the dismal night,
don’t forget the sun must sink
to ascend again, inspiring the Phoenix in you
to rise from the dust,
so, wait for the divine dawn, never say die.
