You hear all kinds of stories
about folks who rock and roll,
we drink too much, do all the drugs,
find ourselves in a hole.
Life on the road sometimes leads
to situations tight,
but all we’ve really come to do
is rock your world tonight.
That’s our good intention,
so you know just where we lie,
that’s our good intention,
we just offer a good time,
that’s our good intention,
know our show will blow you mind,
that’s our good intention,
come and see us,
put your feet up,
come inside.
You hear all kinds of rumors,
only some of them are true,
like all the things that our hot licks
can do inside of you.
Want to stir you way deep down,
put grins upon your face,
and we’ve got practiced fingers
that know which spots to play.
That’s our good intention,
so you know just where we lie,
that’s our good intention,
we just offer a good time,
that’s our good intention,
know our show will blow you mind,
that’s our good intention,
come and see us,
put your feet up,
come inside.
When we play,
we hammer away,
go real hard,
want to take you far.
We’ll get down,
serenade the town,
one or a crowd,
we like when you’re loud!
That’s our good intention,
so you know just where we lie,
that’s our good intention,
we just offer a good time,
that’s our good intention,
know our show will blow you mind,
that’s our good intention,
come and see us,
put your feet up,
come inside.
We danced on our wedding night under a thousand stars,
and when I hear the song "Thinking Out Loud" I am taken back;
to that starry bright night,
when you danced with me.
The lyrics of that song are exactly how I felt and how I loved you,
the future was ours to discover- we had so many plans;
we were going to grow old together,
our love would never, ever, ever fade.
Oh, I listen to that song often, well almost every day,
and it takes me back to our wedding night and our perfect love;
I loved you since the first day,
and you promised me forever.
I always had butterflies in my heart whenever I was near you,
but a destiny was written for me without you in it;
and now I find you among a thousand,
stone cold tombs- a name engraved.
All I have are the memories we made and that song, taking me
back to when we were dancing under a thousand stars.

LeftBrain uses words
like communal tools
and autonomous weapons
While RightBrain invites rhythms and patterns of sound
and silence
like poetry
and lyrics,
sometimes angry and frightened turbulence
sometimes loving and reassuring sibilants
murmuring Earth's quietness.
Of these,
LeftBrain weaponed words
cannot be truly free
speech to unwarned
so unprotected
listening libertarians,
messages fired against militant non-listeners
already armed to demolish
voices unprepared for retribution.
Healthy tools become deadly weapons
when used against
those they were transparently designed
to vulnerably serve
strength of LeftBrain truth
as RightBrain's chiming beauty.
Without these two or three,
depending on how you see
weapons and tools,
wealth and health,
truth and beauty
held proactively together,
free speech is any message
from any medium
tragically unfree.
Verse One
Snow falls down,
Colors of Christmas crowds,
Wish I could leave this town,
But I remain.
You took my innocence,
Stomped on all I had left,
I thought that I could escape,
But I remain.
Chorus
I’m running from the holidays,
I’m running from this haunted place,
If I were free from you,
Would you break in two?
Would I want that life,
Or would I want to die?
Knowing I caused you pain,
Would I remain?
Verse Two
Now that the table’s set,
You’ll throw around more threats,
“I knew you’d leave me next”
So I must remain.
The oven’s on fire now,
Yet you keep it from the crowd,
If silence is all we have,
Can we survive the day?
Verse Three
A shattered glass,
Running and pushing past,
The swarm of the gathering,
Bleeding shadows cast.
Every door I find
Leads me back to what’s behind,
Memories build and break,
And so I remain.
Bridge
Run, run, run.
Candles replace the sun,
Nothing’s left for us,
Broken hearts, shattered trust.
Lost beneath these silver drums,
Screaming yet no sound comes,
No solace can replace,
The emptiness of space
Where I once remained.
Chorus
I’m running from the holidays,
Running from this haunted place,
Never free from you,
You watched me split in two.
Well, I don’t want that life,
I’m packing up tonight,
I don’t want all this pain,
I’m refusing to remain.
Outro
Walking down these empty streets,
Thinking of you and me,
Glowing lights and mistletoe,
I wish you well and finally know:
I’m not yours,
You’re not mine,
And for the last time:
Merry Christmas,
I’ll be fine.
Moonlight is in the sky glowing
casting the light of the night
A glimpse of silver stars illuminating,
As the trees catch the light.
In the branches, shaken by the breeze,
In solitude, I stroll along the road,
the ambience is mine to seize,
All the playing imagery that I hold.
Pausing by the quiet flowing brook,
I hear a symphony begins,
spring within, tunes of warbling music,
from the rushing water strings.
Every gentle sound the tempo makes,
newer songs I begin to hear,
The rhythm and beat the pulse creates,
beautiful melodies in my ear.
How sweet the song sound to me?
as the lyrics fill the night,
and repeat the words again with glee,
As the stars gather lower in sight.
The moon is homeward bound
I pause, and listened to the rhythm,
a melody of sweet sound,
fading with the spell of a dream.
If you want it.
You can take it.
I can give it to you, anytime you want it.
If you need it.
Just believe it.
I can give it to you, anytime you need it.
My love!
You can conceive it.
Just take my hand, if you believe it..
So here I am..
Your only man..
Just take my hand, and you'll be glad.
You found some love.
Some company.
You found every little thing you need..
So if you want it.
You can take it..
I can give it to you, anytime you want it.
And if you need it..
Just believe it..
I can give it to you, anytime you need it..
My love!
You can conceive it.
Just take my hand, if you believe it..

***********
[Verse1]
A hand extended, a familiar voice known;
Adieu to the year that weighed us down.
But even in shadow, a flicker stayed;
A hand extending, a sibilant prayed.
[Chorus]
So lift your voice, let the whole world hear—
a melody to start a brighter year.
Let hunger cease, let arms be laid down;
May every soul find its way back around.
When the world sings one, when the world sings one,
hope rises like a newborn sun.
[Verse2]
The storm is easing, the dark hours gone;
We walk into the sun, a group, not alone.
No kid remains starved or is shut down;
A vow we claim, in action, not in frown
[Bridge]
along any horizon, from peak to plain,
we shout a plea, our eternal refrain.
allow mercy to clean out our fear,
allow unity be the theme we hold dear.
[Final Chorus]
So raise your voice, let the whole world hear—
a song for the dawn of a brighter year.
Let hunger cease, let arms be laid down.
May every soul find its way back around.
When the world sings one, when the world sings one,
the future starts with everyone.
Swept away by infatuation's song
and tripped upon its awkward tempo...
we crept behind a tear where passion slept,
longing where dreams lie wide awake
and blind to desires hidden in view, yet
- you look through and see only mistakes.
Like the melody of a love song
when the lyrics are all that will soothe
a broken soul lost for so long
- the sound and rhythm so impossible to lose.
In the arms of tomorrow you dance
to our song, while I cannot see
the hopelessness that lingers in one last chance
- for something that can never be...
So many wishes have faded away since I
became too blind to say...goodbye...
Wild willow tears
A poignant elegy to ecstasy
weeping as if embraced by a light breeze
Suspended in a sad splash of water
Her eyes drooped
regarded the aqua pond
There are willows in her bay
Her tears are trickling down
You are unable to view them
What calms her down?
One day, the breeze will blow
The west wind comes afterward
from heaven's womb
There is a wind gust
wears a harp around her neck.
A melodic song with tragic lyrics
Joyousness is a tear-drying balm
at the point of trembling happiness
constantly fit and linked together.
visually stunning river
upon waking up from a nap
spend some time in the shadows
that break off individual strands
and a soft, soothing touch.
in a dazzlingly large number.
Refreshing and toning the skin
the furrows between its eyes
But bound amid the forest quiet
How painful those tears were!
The tone is still cold and aloof
as a toast to the ecstatic fits
Moreover, all over its bosom
No feelings are leaking through
although stirring and twisting.
The delights they find beneath
Yield the willow a little melody
the wandering weeping willow
That's a sure way to deflate spirits
Summer's conception dates.

As the wind blows
And the world turns
Come on
Pass on by
When the time is up
All hope is down
Come on
Pass on by
Approach the next stop
Going back to your home
Come on
Pass on by
Give me a hug and a kiss
Waiting for another day
Come on
Pass on by
Today is my last week
Tomorrow is the first day
Come on
Pass on by
I’m laughing now
Crying later
Come on
Pass on by
Hear the sound of your voice
Silence the noise in the background
Come on
Pass on by
Open now
Closed later
Come on
Pass on by
Tell me the truth
And the lies within
Come on
Pass on by
It is time for me to go
Well no one is stopping you
Come on
Pass on by
Goodbye!
