Love is in the air
One can tell by the fields of clover
That adorns the hillside
The scent of jasmine, the taste of honey
We only need stop and observe
All the many wonders of the world
To realize how much we have to be thankful for
The soft warm breeze of a summer morning
The snow that covers the trees and rooftops
Like a cozy warm blanket
Curling up with a good book on a rainy day
A puppy who's over-the-top happy
To see you when you return home
A symphony by Mozart caressing your ears
The purring of a kitten
The shimmering sunlight on the lake
The first robin of spring
All these things and many many more
Make us realize what a wonderful place
This old world is and will always be
Love is life itself
Kiss me sweet
Kiss me quick
Only once.
I’m not the romantic type.
Or so I tell myself.
What are you waiting for?
No kiss?
That kiss is fine.

I look deep in your eyes:

Lovely like a flower, (a smile that opens the sky after a spring storm)

his eyes caught her twine
she was more than divine

all over than lavish

more than perfume in suds
polyesters and tank tops
than finer dress shops

she could outdo your lips
without any slips

she had look and providence
rode the island in consonance
she had a chime and a chant
that can make men pant

two little seals swim
windless of cares and whims
freer to be as one

there the seals be
volleying a ball of glee
like words, from noses to noses
in the end, words turn to roses

on my P.C. screen!
Her smile was
mind blowing, amazing & clean!
When she smiled,
her lips formed a curve!
It was so appealing,
I was compelled to observe!
When i checked out her eyes,
It sparkled like a gem!
I'm sure if she'd wink,
It would create mayhem!
'You Know Who'
Is the name of the girl!
Her sweet little smile
Made me twist & twirl!
Her flowing long hair,
Swayed in the air!
My thoughts made me wonder,
Whether love is in the air!
My thoughts were illogical,
'Coz she believes 'Love' is farcical!
So I buried my thoughts under,
Got saved from making a blunder!

Not So Perfect Marriage
The perfect man approached the alter in white tux and tale
Holy Spirit, giver of light and life
Looked down from heaven, sighed
The virgin bride to be was warmly shy
Pure and gentle as a slicing knife
Her handsome lover has no blemish on his body
Or so we’re told
His wavy golden hair was lush and lovely
Hid three small sixes on his head
But that is incidental, insignificant
Love is in the air for this fine pair
The priest spoke loudly for all to hear
“Lucifer, do you take this underage girl to be your wife?”
I cannot tell a lie, he replied so soft and sweetly
I do. I do indeed
Then extended his long serpents tongue
Red and wet with slimy fury
Licked the girl on her pretty face
Slithered down the aisle and from the church
Like fallen angels do
With his new prey in chains, in tow
The owner of this world wants peace
And happiness and for you to be his child
To smile at his vile image
He only wants to breed
It's human to succeed
It’s snowing beautifully outside
crystals are flying everywhere,
The streets are covered in bright white,
and love is in the air,
Frozen windows tremble
when happy carolers are passing by,
White angels, disguised in snowflakes
are dancing in the sky.
I’m snuggled up, all warm and cozy
by my fireplace, inside,
The sound of burning wood,
a melody so peacefully, so sublime,
I’m reading The Christmas Story,
by the candlelight,
A smiling star waving at me,
whispers good night, good night...
Crumbs of stars from above
sifts blessings over my house and my dreams,
Watching over me at Christmas, The Love
in heavenly splendor gleams.
