When I was nervous, (bats, cats, and rabbits, doing tricks after breakfast) It was early. (a day always to be cherished and remembered most when needed) I was scared but… (will I be able to be, all that she needs, help me Lord…) not afraid. (ready to slay unseen giants, for his lady true) She is coming, (the flower from heaven, to become…everything, forever his) here today, (the celebration of together) Church, church, (first to be invited… blessed all in attendance) wedding bells that ring. (the whole town is there, and love is in the air) Glorious, glorious, (a new season) I could sing. (better not scare her off) Lovely like a flower, (a smile that opens the sky after a spring storm) swift upon the hour, (only a few steps, a bit more time, then…) I am a blessed man…, (humble…thoughts… “with your help Lord”) a blessed man… (on his knees, in his head and heart, ever grateful for the day) Indeed! (the young man recites verses to himself, while chewing his nails.) Amen.

thank you... :) An experimental write. One is the poem the other is the crazy things going through the head of an imaginary groom? Commitment and fear of the unknown... describes love perfectly. Ann

Not quite understand by the structure, Ann. My understanding is that life is a tragedy but needs people to make it a comedy, this needs both our strategy and tactics of how to make it happen ... Good luck!
