Let it go,
let it flow -
cut it with your words.
Slash at every piece of it
until it finally hurts.
Tear and open up old wounds,
pouring in the salt.
Take aim at it and fire away,
pinning down the fault.
Yeah, all those little thing
that you pathetically hold
onto so desperately
as you continue to get old.
You’re like the dog the scripture says -
“to his vomit” it would seem.
Yeah, like a broken record
and you know just what I mean.
But this time you can pack it up
and take all of your .
Shove it right straight up your ass!
I am sick of it.
Cuz this time it is different,
I’ll no longer be the one
that you can still manipulate.
Baby I am done!
Am stuck in like a bad habit
Stuck in like a broken record
Can't shake her off my thoughts even for a bit
My heart and brain are on a split
Like a broken record
It like pandemonium of feelings trying to fit
I have to sooner than later unlove her for
She has got me hypnotized in her beautiful
I have been glued to her like a mixture of gases staring at her cant sim to tell if time flies passes me by
She is my addiction that makes me feel high
The the most prince
But it's a lonely prison beneath frozen ice
I have to sooner than later unlove her
In a crowd I can identify her voice
Just from the sound of her hevely breathing
Her perfect tone breaks through the noise
Attracting a huge numbers of boys
I didn't know everyday it's competition to be the preference choice
I have to sooner than later unlove her
She is like the daughters of Jezebel
Differences of her and Delilah you can't tell
Cut from the same cloth is the tale
No hesitation on putting their dignity on sale
I have to sooner than later shake of this feeling for i
Would rather ther sooner than later look out for my heart
For its better for my sanity rather than a fake reality
Better look out for my pride rather sooner
before I get stuck in a tight space
That no matter
I have to sooner than later shake off this feeling
The sound of your voice echoes through my head like a broken record player.
My mind is at the break of insanity.
Why must you leave my poor soul cold, just like your heart?
They locked you away because you fell in love with death, they wouldn't let you leave even though your dead inside.
Your love with death was so sweet... Sometimes when your sad death would just kiss your arms to help your mind cope with the reality that you lost yourself and who you were was never going to return.
I watched your memories bleed through your pale weak arms.
I miss when we were just little kids, we'd sing to each other until the sun would rise.
They took you Away! They have taken you away you from me!!.... One night you came so close to escaping with death, but they wouldn't let that happen.
That night deaths place was taken by insanity.
Sissy...if your still in there ... I love you.
I sit outside the mad house where your soul remains, every night... All night long I sit by your window and sing sweet lullaby's.... I'm sure your in there dancing with insanity.
I'm not leaving till they let your soul free from from that god forbidden place.
But until then I'll keep on singing and you keep on dancing with your lover. Sometimes your broken memories whispers out your window to me "Isn't this a gorgeous nightmare?"
Words can be like a Trainwreck
Headed nowhere and everywhere all at once
They can appear to be traveling somewhere
But it is a destination that they lack.
Words that earlier and previously
Seemed to have been on track
Can be derailed easily by their inuendos
And the truthful meanings that they lack.
They can be like an approaching storm
The calm before the fall
Some words make no sense to me
No sense to me at all.
I try to grasp at their meanings
I try to see where their meaning lies
These words are hidden in sheep's clothing
Just a verbose pack of lies.
As I read these words over and over again
I try to begin to see some meaning and some light
But all I see is darkness
For the nonsenseical I have no insight.
These words are like a broken record
Like a dog that has no bone
A sail that has no winds to sail
A house that is not a home.
A bird trying to fly on broken wings
A puppet that has no strings
A voice that can no longer or sing
In these words I can see no meaning.
Words can be hidden in sheep's clothing
There is a wolf that is hidden within
And that is where the danger lies
The danger lies in the meaning that is hidden within.
The Danger lies in the apple
The danger lies in its core
It looks harmless from the outside
But once bitten you are changed forevermore.
So beware of the nonsenseical
beware of words with no apparent meaning
These words were meant to set you up
To trap you in their unthinkings.
I can't even think about them anymore
These words that are causing me so much angst
I am not even going to waste a thought
I am going to forget about them post haste.

The Turn of Life
By: Tammy R. Flanagan
Voices uncarried, as the truth could never be announced
Secrets in tight metal boxes
And pain meticulously tucked away
Covered in bandages of fake smiles and laughter’s
Your mind repeats like a broken record…“Everyone deserves forgiveness”
For just the phone call, the day or hour you mask the ugly face
To be able to breathe through the charades
“You are not made like them”
Keeps twisting and turning, braiding my conscience as a quiet reminder
Flesh from flesh does not exist
Visions of selfishness, abomination and torture will never cross over
The legacy will not carry on
I will paint a new creation of life
That claims true faith and servanthood
Not a holier than-though-art Sunday morning pew warmer
Existing in a dressed-up cloak of deception and lies
Living like Doctor Jekyll and Mr. Hide
The record has broken, your turn table cries no more
The stage is bare
No more acts will follow, no applause will be heard
For the venom that runs through
Destroyed your flesh and soul
What you give always came back
What you took will eventually be taken away
I keep coming back
to the root of my problems
like a broken record
skipping on the same track
and I can't move forward until I fix the scratch
Soooo
like a mime in an imaginary glass box
I peer out on the world
wishing that I discovered the key to finding my way out
I see the promise of what I could be in the future
Long beautiful hair falling over my ivory ceramic dollface
with an elegant runners body, and my curves that would make Da Vinci deliriously envious
for they are grander then his Leda and the Swan piece .
I see my shoulders as relaxed as a golden retriever mid running dream
I think that I could fall deeply in love
faster than Humpty Dumpty who tumbled from the wall
Nor would I crack and become a mess like I had before
I will be a human marble
I have been trying to be Atlas with the world on my shoulders.
Taking the burder of everyones problems
Like when we were little kids and we would throw in leafs and sticks in a pot, and call it a
potion
But people's life problems potions can often be poisonous
Atlas should have taken the world and kicked it like a soccer ball
so far across the universe that Beckham would be proud of it
Therefore the key to rehabilitating yourself in your man made mime mind prison
is this.....
Learn to focus your mind on the positives
Let go of the littlest anxieties
For in a world of Aids, Cancers, and starving kids
you have to put it all in retrospective
Find your place, and your gifts
laugh with your friends
Make passionate love to your lovers
This makes the days go by and brings you one step to a healthier closure
Keep on fighting to be the wonderful and brilliant person you know you can be.

Every time my eyes close, I remember.
Once upon a time, we used to be friends, can you remember?
A quick hello would bring joy to each other's face
goodbye's said with a hollow heart
I despised each time we spent apart.
eagerly I wait for you to comfort me
never once having stopped longing for your company
As simple as a bad day instantly cured by a hug
lonely nights soothe with a kiss. telling me I'm loved
we both agree, those feelings stand,
Our love and its depth, like it did when we began
I still and will always, be your biggest fan
Yet who I fell for hopelessly
appears a different man
Our eyes tired, rest missed
Neither one prepared for, This we didn't plan
Without sounding like a broken record, cheesy cliché
We can not succeed without each other,
Together yes we can
A
Blazing sun stuns my eyes, sunglasses offer no respite.
Clammy hands tremble, as the steering wheel begins vibrating.
Arsenic heat suffocates, wrapping its hands around my neck.
Parched lips beg to hydrate,
but 'Jeptha Creed' increases the intensity.
Thunder rumbles through my body,
as lightning strikes in 'desert storm' flashbacks -
all I see is red flags, red lights and red rage.
Feet seem cemented trying to find the break,
then stumble trying to regain control.
Dazed thoughts slowly crumble, searching for green to go.
Metal medley of machine guns, bloodshot,
go bang, bang, bang, as all around begins to fall down.
Grenades and strident screams reverberate like bombastic echoes,
over and over again, boom, boom, boom,
like a broken record with deep inherited scratches,
resembling resurfacing scars, left behind from mangled wounds.
Head is spinning like a bike wheel, spasms are speeding, unable to halt.
I scream at graphic memories of fallen comrades,
cursing, why I was the last man standing.

Spread out your wings
Come on, baby – it’s your time to fly today
Our misfortune stings
Pour forth your ecstasy – will it take away
Our despondency?
Bring me out of captivity…
Producing calamity…
I can’t reach for His light –
THROW ME A ROPE!
I’m buried far below…
Midnight’s as dark as the cawing crow
I CAN’T CLIMB…due to my lack of energy
Fortify me by your might
Spread out your wings
Wake up, darling…wake up to reality –
Open up your window . . .
Our sundrenched spirits brings
Happiness to the hungry, arduous world
His sincerity bestow
Miracles & eternal peace instead of
remorse & catastrophe
Shield me with your radiance
Give me a taste of your jubilance…
Your voluptuous essence
YOUR Pure, holy Sustenance…
Not their truculence…
Their arrogance… Their reluctance…
Their defiance… their unfeeling essence,
Evincing their callous hearts of stone
And crafting it, open to the public
Open to the world of woe
Spread out your wings
Keep on believing, dearest –
It’s not your time to die…
Your face is doused in dismay
Your melody still rings
In my ears… sticking to me like a broken record...
Will it shed a tune of delight today?
Is it a cure to our tragedy?
Drag me out of captivity…
I’m sick of all of this cruelty…
I’ve fallen into a pit of obscurity–
GIVE ME a taste of your effulgence
I’m unchained from my captivity…
Am I surely free? Where shall I flee?
Daylight’s as bright as the dove, fluttering gaily
I’m incapable of flight…due to my lack of wings
Strengthen me throughout my plight! ~ ~ ~
How did you make my high spirits soar upright? ~ ~ ~
