A Mystical Life

Life is a mystical muse inspiring
never ending creation
Creating gives life to ideas that lay
dormant in the mind
When this is done we open doors that
can never be closed
The mind is like a beautiful budding rose
ready to bloom
Like a mansion with many rooms there's
plenty of room for its clothes
Expansion leads to expeditions within self
that offer growth
To expedite this process you'll need to
grow & open up
Bloom like the flower you are to journey
on despite the thorns
& bumps in the road
Planting seeds that you wish to see
come to fruition
is the only way to grow
This is a great way to go though
it's a path
less traveled
The road to self-realization
is one that's
walked alone
In your own zone is where you'll
find the knowledge
that you seek
You're an open book & every time
you open your
eyes you take a peek
You are the question & answer so
to speak
but you must
know what to ask
This life is the best of all teachers
& you're in
a never ending class

Which Way

June 21, 2013

We've been floating through the years
Just you and me my dear
Without a worry on our minds
Or a watch to keep the time

Which way will you go
Which way will you go
If you take the road less traveled
You're much less likely to unravel

Where have you gone
I can't seem to find you anywhere but here
Right by my side where you belong
Holding hands and singing songs

Of a time long gone
When the long forgotten speak
Their minds
And we let ours go in time

Which way will you go
Which way will you go
If you take the road less traveled
You're much less likely to unravel

How will you answer
My love
Will you trust in your beloved
Or look to the stars above

As the days roll by
I wonder why
Which will
Which will you try

Pride and Integrity

Pride and Integrity
Bring clarity
To your inner self
Known as myself

What is your pride worth
It exists from birth
It is self love
A gift from above

Pride can be your inner voice
When you have to make a choice
It can make you weak
When happiness you seek

Pride can bring happiness
Pride can bring sadness
It can lead to regret
Hoping to forget

When pride is your guide
It is a bad ride
Causing you to lose
Totally confused

Take pride in the positive
Learning to forgive
Take pride in your family
Living together happily

Taking the road less traveled
No longer unraveled
As pride is restored again
Thanks to God, Amen

I know that life's a journey
This road is lined with many holes
But there's still an urge inside me
To leave the open road
To leave the first footprint
On a path that isn't there
To face my fears of falling
To replace them with loving cheers
I want to see the world
With my pair of brand new eyes
In a way I've never seen it
Without it's mask or disguise
I want to hear the laughter
To see the smiles all around
I want to know I'm not alone
When this path brings me down
To see the world shinning
And the friends I'm bound to make
Stiffens my choice of journeys
It inspires me not to break
So if I touch the heart
Of just a few just like me
I can say that I accomplished
All I set out to be

If I Shopped For a Spouse Like I Shopped For An Automobile

I don’t want what everybody has, that’s just not for me,
I look for one that’s different, not everyone’s cup of tea.

She’s not red and loud and flashy, racing down the track;
She’s not afraid to get muddy, but still looks good in black.

I want to take her top off, so she’ll blow back my hair,
Wide open with the doors off, so I can feel the air.

I would take her places, beautiful and warm,
But take comfort in the knowledge, she drives well through a storm

We’d take the road less traveled, not fearing hill or ditch,
And scale the steepest mountain, regardless of the pitch.

We’d get good and dirty, discover brand new places;
With the flashes of the fireworks lighting up our faces.

Get the water steamy, tear a piece out of my shirt,
Work up a good lather and caress away the dirt.

I’d take such good care of her, work to make her shine,
Marvel at her sparkle, and smile because she’s mine.

Premium Member On the Path Less Traveled by Accident

Did we meet when stars aligned?
Or when fate dragged our paths,
to coincide, to bump together,
sidled up, side by side,
by coincidence, in time and space?

Or did we slide into the same path by accident?
Enchanted to dance by chance,
with happenstance and serendipity,
on a path less traveled?

We met in a deserted park,
in a deserted ghost town,
on a path way off the beaten track
Both coming to see how rising salinity
in the district's groundwater,
through excessive water use,
had ruined the crops,
ruined the town's livelihood.
Everyone had left.
One of us came here,
to yen its cause,
the other with pen,
to write a report.

In the park was a swing
with a rusty chain and black rubber seat.
The wind made the swing,
swing to and fro, to and fro,
emitting a haunting creak.
Which drew us to share the
pathos of the scene.
Which to us, thus met,
made all the difference.

This path, this town, this park,
this swing, this wind, this creak,
by accident,
made all the difference!

TIME
Reminiscing - a life missing

Time is slowly crawling, walking on by,
leaving sunny memories, not but a shadow
glimpsed, running past the corner of ones eye
as it leaves the lands of past experiences fallow.

Travelling back in time, down many roads.
Some roads, roads less traveled, carrying heavy loads.
Others have lead one into worlds of much fun
under bright rays – days spent with a glorious sun.

Some of those sunny memories came to life,
this Christmas Season, with much joy, rife
throughout the few hours spent.
Ecstasy, for a moment, to me she lent.

Dear Brother

Your generosity,
this Christmas Season
arouses my curiosity.
What is your reason ?,
Dear Brother, especially
after summers generosity.

Premium Member The Unexpected Difference

I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference. -- Robert Frost

                              I wondered, as I wandered, if I
                            lost much, having squandered, took
time to think of all the things I’d done - the
pathways that I’d chosen, save for one,
had left me cold and frozen, more or less,
except the narrow gate I traveled
through. And since then, life’s less raveled, by and by.

Reflecting why I chose it, and
seeing how life goes, it makes me think that
my steps were ordained. For when my hand has
played, effect has not a pittance made,
but there within his sight, all
the while protected, the world is right, the
                                     glorious and unexpected difference.

The Loneliest Road Not Traveled

The loneliest road, a path unknown,
Where footprints fade, the seeds unsown.
Amidst the woods, in silent grace,
A solitary journey we all must face.

Beneath the moon's pale, silver light,
The stars above, a quiet night.
In solitude, we find our way,
A road less traveled, come what may.

Through winding lanes and darkened woods,
The loneliest road, where silence broods.
But in this solitude, we will find,
A deeper self, an awakened mind.

The loneliest road, it's not in vain,
For in its silence, we attain,
A strength to tread where others fear,
The road less traveled, crystal clear.

So let us walk with hearts held high,
The loneliest road, beneath the sky.
Embrace the journey, bold and true,
For in its solitude, we are renewed.
