Down in the dark, they patiently wait
Whatever the hour, whatever the date
And if it’s required to wait a bit longer
They’ll service their Queen to grow ever stronger

These keratin creatures will eat their own kind
Rather than leaving their fallen behind
They'll eat anything that’s remotely organic
But if they sense ‘sweet’ they’re blindly satanic

A human race claiming an intellect great
Will err, which is human, and seal its own fate...
They smell it, they sense it, they know it’s around
And they spew from their caverns through cracks in the ground

From under the bushes and over the fence
Through open windows and in through the vents
They drop down the chimney and crawl out of pipes
Immune to our anti bacterial wipes

The under sink cupboard is swarming as well
And inside the fridge its like something from hell
Open the microwave, they’re in there too
And upstairs there’s more coming out of the loo

A creeping black mass turns the lounge carpet black
They swarm up the sofa and onto his back
Relentless, attracted by sugary charms
They split and rampage along each of his arms

He’d raided the kitchen for something to eat
He could have done worse than choose something less sweet
For ants are indifferent to tagliatelle
His fate was decided by strawberry jelly

.......an end.......

But in English English (and being pedantic)
Two last lines for humans across the Atlantic...

For ants are indifferent to Marmite and ham
His fate was decided by strawberry jam

Tethered To a Moment

Obdurate goat tangles rough knotted rope
Stuck beside shadowy friend, Silky Oak
Hedonistic prisoner capricorn, cheap trope
Ethics remain riddle, morals mere joke

Towered timber utters truth in its creak
Canopy clapping hands crush recollection
Billion fingered Silky Oak, silver limbs oblique
Obscure overlooked sins, a whispered detection
Keeps capricorn unkempt, tethered to trunk
Smooth curled horns apply keratin to bark
Scaffold of decency rubbed back, defunct
Gloss of molestation, shamed oblivion hark

Hefty hormonal avenger of societial conform
Ediface eroded by wiles of willful exhibition
Tortoiseshell taupe noxious horned capricorn
Weapon wield deposit encircles oak, dark depiction
Mirror denies texture, mirthful obstreperous ignores
Shine diminishes structure, erect neck narrow
Malnourished foliage, goat's gritty diet implore
Capricorn's carnal gyrations abate, restore marrow

Fractured cracked tenacity, tree's foreboding scream
Matchstick snap collages goatman gonzo in debris
Collapsed capricorn of devilish demeanour obscene
Scruple niggard gruesome morbid marauder buried

Premium Member Murder Me with Cashmere

VERSE I
she brushed across my shoulders
the bedroom light broke
a breasted scimitar—dancing thoracic throat
what I once outran—now presses my lips
she carried no black-wing omen
yet every breath drew near
purple velvet summons
Murdering me with Cashmere.

PRE-CHORUS I
kiss drawn, the walls slant inward
and rouge, the dark-root took shape—
as if her inborne blackwork
could make the night a colourless drape.

CHORUS I
Murdering me with Cashmere
tugging at my countless heartbeats
stripping me down to bare nerve
Murdering me with Cashmere
touch that lifted a ceiling curve
a birthright that denied me standing

VERSE II
the air lost a beat near her
piano shuttered its strings
her keratin ruled its hidden kingdoms
where songs outlived clipped-wings
one quick brush of softness
could tilt the atmosphere—
an unquestionable sovereign reign
Murdering me with Cashmere.

PRE-CHORUS II
marrow-sapped, my bones bleached white
and oooh, my will to power grew thin
her presence pressed antique velour
against my browning-paper skin
a blue-litracution mocked my manly core

CHORUS II
Murdering me with Cashmere
negating my defenses
melting my deep fear
Murdering me—only Cashmere
mist that would not recede
a spell that outlasted me

BRIDGE
she stood there—the verdict given
queen without a crown
her secrets a crashing thunder
hinged to pin me down
and I—
climbed, she was higher
and her hemlock closed in—too near
I fell into her ghast-lit shadow
Murdered soft by Cashmere.

FINAL CHORUS
Murdering me with Cashmere
kindness with a strangler’s grip
a calm that finished the work
Murdering me in Cashmere
queen in vestment of highness—
Lady Caledonia Blue— cyanotic.

OUTRO
she brushed across my shoulders
the world skipped a breath to grieve
softness that occluded on my lungs and stayed
refused to let me leave
her after-mint lodged in my vertebral mind
thorn in every flowing tear—
the night she claimed my arrhythmic heartbeat
Murdering me with Cashmere.

"For better or worse, zoos are how most people come to know big or exotic animals. Few will ever see wild penguins sledding downhill to sea on their bellies, giant pandas holding bamboo lollipops in China or tree porcupines in the Canadian Rockies, balled up like giant pine cones." -Diane Ackerman

Prickly are these sweet creatures who allow calm people to pet them.
Old world versus New-world are these
Rodents that protect themselves with
Coats of spines composed of keratin.
Under the Old-world classification, the
"Pests of Kenya" are strictly nocturnal and larger than the critters
In South and North America.
New World porcupines love the woods and even climb trees.
Enemies should beware Porky's clatter of his teeth, which proceeds
Sharp quills penetrating the foe's skin as this critter attacks!

Premium Member That I Am

A peacock's demeanor reflects its heraldic crest
the avian's plumage dazzles with its presence
fanned out tail of blue green metallic manifests
appearing prideful, vainglorious in iridescence
veiled is its vulnerability and its fragile heart
We immerse ourselves in its beauty and grace
an aspiring and soulful sanguine work of art
until bittersweet's tinge, shows its harsh face
gone the saffron sweetness that of happiness
losing self in vanities futility caught in tangles
ocelli ring patterns tips of eyes it apprehends
illusions of melanin waves and keratin angles

Living walls of purple flora vined creeping plants
beware its bright red-orange berries, poisonous
superficial self-seeker, servile are the sycophants
skulk about corridors, spreading judgment upon us
decking privacy, holding the mulch of innuendos,
dim skyscapes of golden sunrises, of ruby sunsets
Our inner light casts truth from the irises’ windows
how much more must I cry out like suffragettes?

No longer do I dwell among sloth losing my identity
like the peacock that flutters and spreads its charm
I embrace no longer useless supercilious mentality
the vanity of human wishes, grandiose that its harm
The rhythm of my heart’s vibrant vignettes heard
That I Am, alongside the greatest of them all
those of you curious who cling onto my every word
He who stands beside our Creator, shall not fall

A Line

With an unkempt nail today I drew a line,
From where my wrist begins to my elbow,
My mind drew one much deeper still,
And a horrific relaxation pulled at my soul.

I became limp and spread out,
and I breathed clear and deep,
a tear formed and fell
then I ceased needing sleep.

My future now brings me fear
that I may stifle it so quickly,
and substitute keratin
economically with a whince.

I love all I have had, yet I hate all that I miss
and for the sake of ten minutes,
and some drink, and slight endurance,
a life of anguish could be paid by a little scratch.

But oh that sweet glimpse of peace I felt,
from something acted out on my bed,
is it reality, infirmity, or just dread,
An intoxicating exit poisons my head.

I had to write it for the world to see,
as those that know I know this is not me,
the wool on their eyes brings me such guilt,
as now does the scarlet that spoils my quilt.

Squamous Cell Carcinoma

It begins in a hush—
a small rebellion of cells
beneath the sunlit frontier
of the skin.

A quiet trespass,
like a whisper against
an old scar,
gathering its courage
in keratin halls
we rarely think about.

I have walked beside it
for decades—
this stranger that grows
from ordinary flesh,
borrowing our light
to carve its own dark path.

I have seen it rise
in sun-blessed farmers,
in roofers laughing
against July,
in women who once
held the beach like a hymn.

Yet it is not invincible.
It is not a prophecy.
It is a lesson in attention—
a reminder that the body speaks
long before it cries.

A red edge,
a scaling shore,
a wound that refuses
to remember healing—
these are the quiet signals
written in the language
of vigilance.

And still,
there is wonder.
Because for every cell
that forgets its place,
there are millions
that remember
with astonishing precision
what it means to be whole.

So I stand—
between microscope and patient,
between science and the pulse
of mortal fear—
and I say:

You are not alone.
This story is not finished.
And even in malignancy,
there is a place
where hope proliferates faster
than any tumor
that dared to begin.

Crusible

KERATIN is extracted from
cows hooves to make to
make foam for fire extinguishers.
............................................

They butchered the shank
to make disks
to serve with beef cheeks.
the wine sauce would be cooked
separate and and made of
wine
chicken feet
thyme
bay leaves
cayenne
carrots
garlic
onions
sun dried tomato's
 3 anchovies

we would need
 15 pounds of cheeks
20 pounds of shanks
6 pounds of chicken feet
( to make chicken stock)

the oniony, tender
meltingly beefy
goodness of meat
served with vegetables
and creamy mashed potatoes
ah- God
Mercy on these
people!

The make shift area would be chicken wire two sides
with sand and cement mixed with a cob material
and plastered
to create walls
with a tin overlapping roof.

Light is the keratin structure

Above mine quills
Plumage soft N bold
Contour feathers

I spread out my wings I fly
I open up my mouth I sing, high
Generating thrust I steer during flight
I sing, I fly, I cry my whispers are GOOD NIGHT
I TWEET SWEET MELODIES
Filoplumes mine bristles hairlike whiskers
Sensory feathers to feel you in AWE
Feel you in all positions, heaven sent
I soar, I fly complete in environment
I am encased in, contour feathers
Now I'm feeling such, so much better
