In my dreams, my imagination creates flights of fancy,
reverie and whimsy, out of this world incredible.
Sometimes wonderful but most often nightmarish,
the dreamy fairy-tale holds me prisoner, trapped.
Often I am lost in a lavish forest green.
Searching for an answer to questions of the past,
horrible, hateful, heinous monsters are at each curve.
The path a winding labyrinth of tangled vines,
I rest beside a meandering stream where the sun shines.
A black horse with a bell calls my name.
Upon his back I leave the forest for meadows free,
abloom with flowers rustling in the breeze.
We thunder up a hill until we reach the very top,
and he unfolds majestic wings and we float.
I am drifting now on filigree, white puffy clouds,
gently lulled into a sweet dreamy ethereal world.
Then I am free falling, down and down and down,
screaming for help that never ever comes.
And I open my eyes with a gasping breath.

I dropped out of high school in August of 1986.
In 1993, that was a mistake that I decided to fix.
I was only fifteen years old when I dropped out.
When I ask people not to make my mistake, there is no doubt.
I studied from April of 1993 to June of 1995 and it was very cool.
I studied for twenty-six months until I graduated from high school.
Some people mistook my diploma for a GED but it's not.
I didn't take the easy way out like those people thought.
I became a high school graduate thirty years ago today.
Don't drop out of school like I did because it's not okay.

Being imperfect…
…we err, displeasing our Holy God;
Let’s then confess* our faults---
---accepting His merciful reproofs
toward virtuous transformation-glow.
As sinful beings…
…we transgress, missing the Lord’s standards;
Let’s now admit our guilt---
---beseeching for His bountiful pardon
with corrective rebukes midst peace-filled bliss.
Still in the flesh…
…we have carnality-struggles, subduing our trust in Christ;
Let’s always yield to Him Whose grace abounds---
---thanking Him for His ready, fortifying aid
for our faith's upholding with servant-heart discipline.
*1John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

The cloud of suspense was becoming compact
The mood was tense to ensure most impact
A baffling mystery had to be cracked
A sordid crime they needed to re-enact
It was the end of the second act
Moments before the entr’acte
We stretched went out and snacked
I powdered my nose with my compact
Nodded to each other matter-of-fact
The plot was convoluted enough to distract
Had everyone admitting massive confusion intact
Was it the lady in red they attacked
Was the weapon found in the house that got ransacked
Was it the business owner’s computer that they hacked
Was the killer the guy with the severe cataract
Was it the butler who decided to counteract
The wildest theories were purely abstract
The play was about to restart and unveil each dirty fact
Time to see who was right ‘cause it was all quite action packed

When first I saw her on that day,
the subtle way she looked at me,
I felt that we were meant to be.
I thought we’d walk down life’s pathway,
and tantalize stroll through love’s door;
we’d take the plunge for evermore.
Our bond forever to portray
together joined no matter what,
we’d share together our life, but
I never thought she would betray
fallacious image of our love,
eviscerate bond from above.
But lures of life lead her astray
down vortex of the dark of night,
bewilder our love with this blight.
And here behind I sadly stay
with scarlet visions giving chase,
as salty tears stream down my face.
When first I saw her on that day
I thought we’d walk down life’s pathway;
our bond forever to portray.
I never thought she would betray,
but lures of life lead her astray,
and here behind I sadly stay.

I stand upon this aging wooden bridge
peering into depths of the swollen stream
a fingerling flowing to waters of the sea
grief is rhythmic like the beat of my heart
tears ebbing in rise with the morning tide
each breath escapes in a murmured sigh
Three months gone by since my love left
bereft am I since there's been no word
no news of his vessel, now long overdue
a great storm cast its eye on his ship's course
If prayers were diamonds I'd have great wealth
currency in which I could never take pleasure
In my worst nightmare he lies tangled in kelp
without help to free him he surely will drown
a torturous fate that nearly drives me insane
Here, on the bridge, amid my sighs and cries
I beg that somehow he finds his way home
escaping the wrath of an unmerciful sea
Day after day, when dawn has barely broken
I stand on the bridge, sealed bottle in my hand
inside is a note in which my sad heart entreats,
"Poseidon, please send my love back to me
before loneliness becomes the cause of my death."
To the current my plea tossed. Hope, not yet lost

June 21 Relationship to God Bible Meditations Based on Psalms 144-150
Key Verse – Psalm 144:1 Blessed be the LORD my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight.
LORD GOD, YOU ARE MY TEACHER
Lord God, You are my Teacher
Who settles me in Your eternal salvation
Thank You for Your polishing as You refine my faith’s function---
From falsehood, I’m delivered toward You truth’s action
So privileged am I to abide in Your strengthening compassion.
Lord God, You are my Teacher
Who supplies me well by Your goodness
Thank You for Your upholding as You satisfy my spiritual zealousness---
From hell, I’m ushered me to Your kingdom’s greatness
So eager am I to praise You in Your holiness.
Lord God, You are my Teacher
Who exhorts me to honour You with all my soul
Thank You for Your moulding as You help my spirit to be fully whole---
From doubt, I’m brought to Your certainty I trust in my life goal
So peaceful am I to submit to Your reign for my servant-role.
Lord God, You are my Teacher
Who builds me up in Your magnificent ways
Thank You for Your caring as You strengthen my stewardship-days---
From brokenness, I’m bid me to Your healing rays
So desirous am I to testify about Your grace always.
Lord God, You are my Teacher
Who commands me to exalt You sincerely
Thank You for Your leading as You guide my walk circumspectly---
From gloom, I’m brightened by Your light cheerfully
So humbled am I to come near unto You intimately.
Lord God, You are my Teacher
Who makes me rejoice in Your name
Thank You for Your gladdening as You radiate to my redemption-fame---
From nothingness, I’m filled by Your contentment-frame
So blessed am I to commune with You as Your promises I claim.
Lord God, You are my Teacher
Who exposes me to Your power’s accomplishment
Thank You for Your working as You regard my earnest commitment---
From amazement, I’m carried to You acts of excellent fulfillment
So awed am I to live for You with my ministry-involvement.

As an island in isolation, in an oceanic lure
I stand firm, a solitary figure, in this vast azure
Facing the seashore, where waves crash in an uproar
Their mighty roar echoes through my core.
They touch the land with force and might.
Creating a symphony of the seashore's delight
But as quickly as they come, they retreat.
Leaving behind a foamy sheet
Broken dreams are shattered.
Akin to pieces of shattered glass.
The seashore becomes flattered.
For the waves eternal dance
In solitude, I find solace and peace.
As the rhythm of the waves brings me release
I am but a witness to their beauty and grace.
As they rise and fall in this sacred place
The seashore, a sanctuary of dreams untold
Where the ocean's secrets unfold
With every crashing wave, I am reminded
Of the power of nature, undivided
In this moment of sheer grace
I embrace the ebb and flow of this vast space.
For within these shores of solitude
I find my own quietude.
In the midst of chaos and commotion
I find serenity and devotion.

Always, God Almighty is truly great
In His being omnipotent* indeed
Along His deliverance, never late
Doing the impossible to have us freed
His offered salvation is forever
By His grace and mercy as loving giver
Keeping souls redeemed from damnation's pangs
Secured eternally against foes' fangs
Toward abundant life of praise-filled heart...
Worthy is He of thanks right from the start.
*Revelation 19:6 ... Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.
