Winter drew near, its drifting wind calling,
the wind did not touch me, until she appeared.
I remember that nite, I felt I was falling,
memories met then, I feared they mirrored.
My words failed to explain my feelings inside,
and the past rushed forward to mist my eyes.
If she should ever dream, that I lied,
the pain would ever linger, never die.
I understand this woman, I believe in her song,
and nite after nite, I’m searching for mercy.
Yet cruel is the morning with its shadow so long,
that the answer I seek, is so close, it hurts me.
    Is she only lonely, occasionally,
or desires the warmth of a silken body?
Her hands are tight with fear, I fear,
oh how I wish I could hold her near!
Is it only by nite, in the lite of the moon,
can she release her words, or is she jejune?
I will sit again by the garden wall,
and patiently wait for her to call.

Jinxed Jesting Jejune Junior Jobber Part 1

Jinxed jesting jejune junior jobber...
just jabbering gibberish (A - I)

Again, another awkward ambitious
arduous attempt at alphabetically
arranging atrociously ambiguously
absolutely asinine avoidable alliteration.

Because...? Basically bonafide belching,
bobbing, bumbling, bohemian beastie boy,
bereft bummer, bleeds blasé blues, begetting
bloviated boilerplate bildungsroman,
boasting bougainvillea background.

Civil, clever clover chomping, cheap
chipper cool cutthroat clueless clodhopper,
chafed centenary, codifies communication
cryptically, challenging capable, certifiably
cheerful college coed.

Divine dapper daredevil, deft, destitute,
doddering, dorky dude, dummkopf Dagwood
descendent, dagnabbit, demands daring
dedicated doodling, dubious, dynamite,

deaf dwarf, diehard doppelganger, Doctor
Demento double, declaring depraved
daffy dis(pense)able dufus Donald Duck
derailed democracy devastatingly defunct.

Eccentric, edified English exile,
effervescent, elementary, echinoderm
eating egghead, Earthling, excretes,
etches, ejaculates, effortless exceptional
emphatic effluvium enraging eminent,

eschatologically entranced, elongated
elasmobranchii, emerald eyed Ebenezer,
effectively experiments, emulates epochal
eczema epidemic, elevating, escalating,
exaggerating enmity, enduring exhausting
emphysema.

Freed fentanyl fueled, fickle figurative
flippant fiddler, fiendishly filmy, fishy,
fluke, flamboyantly frivolous, fictitious,
felonious, fallacious, fabulously fatalistic,
flabbergasted, fettered, flustered, facile,
faceless, feckless, financially forked,

foregone, forlorn futile fulsome, freckled
feverish, foo fighting, faulty, freezing,
fleeting famously failing forecaster, flubs
"FAKE" fundamental fibber fiat, fabricating
fiery fissile fractured fios faculties.

Exhumed

A fallow season,
a time of trivial hungers,
but also a term put away
within a stone breaking age.

It was a Wednesday,
a day with sorrow sewn into it
like a prison blanket.

Nevertheless, a scissoring sunlight
sheared his eyes open.

Petulant lips pursed
with a jejune ire.
He had laid himself down
dug himself earthward
covered himself over
with a bone deep hurt.

He thought:
must I be exhumed by this light?
This will be the death of me
once more.

Even then he was unlocked.
Light cut and snapped
the tangled hairs
of his grey despair,
swung him open
while a vaporous corpse
tumbled out.

No longer was the sun
a graveyard attendant
but a door,
and at its entrance
a corroded skeleton crumbled
into another pit
   of death by light.

When the Heart Cries

When the heart cries, the eyes well up,
Heavy with feelings long confined.
When the heart bleeds, the eyes go blind,
Choked by sorrow undefined.

When the heart cries, the eyes shudder,
Shaken by grief behind the grace—
Bitterness born on a lover’s shoulder,
In a restless search for a tender place.

When the heart cries, the eyes release
The pain of reckless, fragile love—
Nurtured in silence, grown from fear,
Now aching from what it’s made of.

When the heart cries, the eyes grow dim,
Lost in a fog of silent despair.
Emotions swell along love’s rail,
Calm as a child in dreamless air.

When the heart, like the belly, takes in too much—
Hungering still, though overfilled—
It swells like a balloon with every touch,
Yet aches for more, unmet and stilled.

When the heart cries, the eyes cry out,
Weary of silence, unmet need.
Jejune replies to aching calls
Leave tenderness to wilt and bleed.

When the heart cries, the eyes grow tired,
Longing for days of softer light—
When trees were green, the winds were kind,
And love was gentle, pure, and right.

Dusk Dawns Noticeably Earlier Each Night In Schwenksville, Pennsylvania Yup

Dusk dawns noticeably earlier each night in Schwenksville, Pennsylvania - yup

Which trend will continue some days before
winter solstice 2021 in Northern Hemisphere,
Tuesday, December 21 10:58 AM.
Yes, interestingly enough earliest sunset date(s)
along eastern United States
will occur December 7 and 8, 2021 at 4:28 pm EST.

Similar respective phenomena
takes place across globe.

Winter solstice constitutes
shortest day of the year in terms of daylight,
but does not have latest sunrise
nor earliest sunset of the year.

This prevails because discrepancy exists
between modern-day timekeeping methods
and how time is measured
using the Sun known as the equation of time.

The equation of time comprises
east or west component of the analemma,
a curve representing angular offset of the Sun
from its mean position on celestial sphere
as viewed from Earth.

I thoroughly enjoy onset of early darkness
unperturbed courtesy
seasonal affective disorder (SAD).

Alas and alack
matter of fact yours truly
optimally thrives when pitch black
skies immerse bookworm as impetus to crack
open a novel and/or read
one of my favorite (MAD) magazines
versus basking in sunshine which doth distract,
thus I while away hours appeasing
sixty plus shades of gray (cerebral) matter

processing criteria at greased lightning speed
considerably faster than once
venerably touted supreme ENIAC,
whereby mine figurative pistons
incalculably subvert additional
superfluous irrelevant flack
spurring me to burrow
deep inside invisible gunnysack
cause ordinary stress I could not hack

conveniently latched onto
ninety sixties counterculture mantra
"turn on, tune in, drop out"
popularized by Timothy Leary in 1966
essentially only in body not spirit
throughout academic foray,
I occupied space and time
paid dear price, cuz
submissive behavior heavily did impact

writer of these words a jejune Jack,
who during formative years
never dated, nor got jilted
cuz he possessed
unquestioned unhealthy uncanny
fealty and deadly eating disorder
body dysmorphia knack
positive image of self I lack,
an existence punctuated
by one after another panic attack.

When the Heart Cries

When the heart cries, the eye wells up
When the heart bleeds, the eye blinds out
For release of tethered emotions piled up
Emotions nurtured within and without

When the heart cries, the eye shudders
From deep bitterness that aches the heart’s kindness
Bitterness nurtured on a beloved shoulder
In a restive quest for tenderness

When the heart cries, the eye sheds tear
From wounds of reckless love
Incubated and nurtured out of fear
The heart cries when out of love

When the heart cries, the eye ails
Groping in the blindness stupor
Strong emotions pile up along love rail
Calm as a child in dreamless slumber

When the heart like the stomach
Fractiously takes in without fill
Well up like balloon stock after stock
Yet it rambles for more still

When the heart cries, the eye yells
From jejune responses to her neediness
When the heartfelt is within the heart walls
When the heart has known no bitterness

When the heart cries, the eye cries
For restitution of her juvenile love and kindness
In those days when trees were evergreen
When breeze swayed the trees in gentle kindness

Doxologized

She had many sad stories,
they were filed away, labeled,
color coded;
tales presented as apocryphal bibles.

He would listen as she pulled them out
of her droning breast,
intoned then as if reciting
poetry to an acolyte sponge.

Her stories festered the air
with pitiful sorrows,
scratched yet more stigmata
upon hide-bound woes.

White paper moths would fly up to his eyes
as if to illustrate her narratives;
tissue thin, he would see within them
the many skeletons of her living ghosts,
bones free now of all minerality,
fish-wet and wriggling
in the gel of a long preserved plasma.

He often closed his ears
to make his lips numb. The nasal gnarl
of her broken voice
coated his tongue with sticky commiserations,
a jejune sympathy
that had the texture of mildewed goatskin.

Her words mechanically ticked off
every injustice and persecution
ever heaped upon a martyred mind.
Eventually though, her deep well of mopes
dried to a blubber of sighs.

Then all those emaciated moths
would flutter around her
anointing her echoing skull
with a seeping urine-like substance
she called love.

GOODLUCK

Gutless muffled monarch wooed millions to the poll,
Our feeble lord enforced by pathetic speech of poverty (I once had no shoes)
On congruent grounds of pain we forced him, though we hated his coterie.
Disappointed, we wail waiting surrogate to lead to unending journey of relief
Lackluster, jejune as pervading rot lingers
Unvaried captain rocks our boat, gagged around by plunderers.
Circles of death, twinge, pauperdom and miseries mocks the reign of naivety.
Kleptocrat adorn self in regalia, loved the honor. lacks duty

EBELE

Embezzlers of collective trust bequeathed in hope,
Bandits as conniving ministers besmirched our obtuse scamp
Egregious, craven, shrieked at the sound of war (I am not a lion)
Laggard lumper loon left fanatical murderers at our doorsteps
Encumbrances from his delinquent clan divide the love for mother land

DAME

Damp squib's duchess of indecent tongue, never feels a vestige of restraint
Academic 'double misnomer' with licence to libel,
Merriment and intrigue feigned as obligations,
Edgy. encumbrance though ceaselessness forms their amity.

PATIENCE

Punk pretending and purloining to private vaults
Adventurous nerve for futile globe trot
Twitchy at the affairs of state, though Unemployed by sensible Poll
Intoxicated by serendipity, shaming all with activity
Euphemistic drama Usurps Scrappy literacy on cultured observers
Crude verbiages to amuse myriad of eggheads (my Fellow widows)
Encomium of Yesterday's approval turned sour and Tsar inept mode prevails

Jokers jostled in enthusiasm to rule, (politicking for 2015)
Onslaught from 'Boko-Haram' drove sleep from wearied countrymen
Numbed as "hoipolloi" echoed NO to mistimed removal,
Alas, the fraud, rapscallion looted the poor to a blindfold
Tyrannic cloaked his garb in power busted on the streets with the troop
Higgledy-piggledy bugled the travesty of Democracy
Amidst the rubble of a crumbling amalgam
Nigerian Lords watched the drama secured among a troop we die helpless
