Let Me Show You

Winter drew near, its drifting wind calling,
the wind did not touch me, until she appeared.
I remember that nite, I felt I was falling,
memories met then, I feared they mirrored.
My words failed to explain my feelings inside,
and the past rushed forward to mist my eyes.
If she should ever dream, that I lied,
the pain would ever linger, never die.
I understand this woman, I believe in her song,
and nite after nite, I’m searching for mercy.
Yet cruel is the morning with its shadow so long,
that the answer I seek, is so close, it hurts me.
    Is she only lonely, occasionally,
or desires the warmth of a silken body?
Her hands are tight with fear, I fear,
oh how I wish I could hold her near!
Is it only by nite, in the lite of the moon,
can she release her words, or is she jejune?
I will sit again by the garden wall,
and patiently wait for her to call.

I do sincerely appreciate your time to give me comments, feedback, thoughts on my words. I need to begin reading more of those on this site. Some I write from experience, some from observations, then some just out of the blue or gray as the day may be. Given your nicely succinct ability to express how my words { thoughts } are taken in by you I thought it only right to let you know that my name is Patrick. Pax Geist is Peace Ghost, a pen name. The other name I have used is Elwood P. Harvey, derived from the movie Harvey. I shall read more of yours as I do like your styles. :)
