Premium Member -Knowing He Loves Me

It’s a cuppa made for me in the morning
Our first cuddle of the day
Him just knowing what I like
His insight with my funny, strange ways

It’s the thoughtful things he does for me
The kindness and patience he shows
Understanding and accepting everything about me
That nobody else knows…

It’s the feeling inside he gives me
It’s being my best mate
The care and thoughtfulness he has for me
When I’m sick or not feeling great

It’s the laughter and humour
He brings to my life every day
The way he makes my heart happy
The sweet things to me he’ll say!

It’s the love and loyalty he has for me
Of a unified lifetime spent together
The history and memories we’ve made and share
It’s knowing he is forever…

Glistening through the window’s
Glass, shafts of gentling grace
Mellow and bleeding waves – breathless
Crying like rain, flavoring the moment with
Splendor, inspiring the soul to keep burning
Away the shadows, dark haunting
Hopes and dreams with a sadness that dims
Joy and reminds the soul that its peace
Is found in the moments like these, when
Light reflects a need and brings with it the music
To soothe away the darkness, lifting
Encouraging, bringing the inspiration, comforting
So that only the sparkly edges of a radiance
Breathing truth sighs like the falling stardust
Waves embracing the hopes that come
To life on the shimmering reflections of this
Seamless piece of a vision, an echo
From the musings of a heart who believes, who
Sees the gentle bleeding through reality,
Erasing the dark with a sense of forever waiting
Just beyond the rays that embrace the meaning
The significance of a spirit, a soul, a belief
In One who made history into the timeless whispers
Sighing out creativity in movements surging
Like the grace that hints at everything He sends
Through the azure skies and the light that is so alive
It silences the fears and wipes away the tears
So there is only beautiful combined with insight
To take the heart through a million years,
Feelings abiding in the flickers of wonderful,
Wonders that take me from this moment
Into the faithful promises of a prayer, a promise
Psalms that taught me to always see
The good in every heart, the worthy in every light
Who brings me through the darkness,
Never doubting that forever is just beyond
The spark glowing through the window,
Lighting up the inside the way He lights up the
Morning with a sun not nearly as potent
As the Son who is there for everyone who simply
Believes He is the promise of eternal peace…

Dreams For Sale

Just down the street there is a place.
Where dreams just fade without a trace.
You walk right in and think it's free.
Next thing she just won't let you be.

You learn real soon how her game works.
As you keep waiting for the perks.
But she's so good at loves deception.
Leave's you feeling you're the exception.

Just one more trinket, and one more dance.
Don't over think it, you're in a trance.
You've come too far to walk away.
Tomorrow's come, but not today.

It does get dangerous in her snare.
You start to think she just might care.
Cause every time you come back in.
You place your bet and hope you win.

I've played some games of chance in life.
Hoping some day I'd have a wife.
But now the fantasy's not real.
I'm left to wonder how should I feel.

You hope when you sit down to write.
You'll find an answer and some insight.
But sometimes all you get are phrases.
As you're left to wonder through life's mazes.

Premium Member Glimpses of God

Looking at the world around me
many glimpses of God I see.
Clues to His existence abound,
everywhere they can be found.

Human intelligence declares,
that man indeed God’s image bears.
Mankind’s ability to speak,
shows humans share a Divine streak.

The Divine consciousness in man
is evidence of God’s wise plan.
He implanted in man a prod,
to help him connect with his God.

The love of parents for a child
reminds of Jesus meek and mild.
The kindness that a stranger shares,
reveals a loving God who cares.

The hushed hunger in human hearts,
for meaning that in shadows darts,
points to the God whose mind instilled,
this need that only He could fill.

Man’s quest for justice and fairness,
stems from God's image which he bears.
His knowledge of the wrong and right,
reveals God’s infinite insight.

Through floods, storms, thunder, and lightning,
God shows His great power and might.
Smiling flowers and singing birds,
speak of God’s care, though without words.

The order in nature displays,
God’s wisdom and his wondrous ways.
The moon and starry hosts declare,
His sovereignty and loving care.

The brilliance of the noonday sun,
mirrors the glory of God’s Son.
The flawless flow from night to day,
reveals the pattern God did lay.

Many, the clues to God ignore,
while others nature’s clues adore.
The glimpses point the soul to God,
so mankind can his Maker laud.

Premium Member Moments Here

A pretty dash upon these shores
As waves now clash with room for more

A certain flash hurls insight well
As moments mesh in visual tell

A touch impacts the way words come
As inner tact frames lines that sum

A deeper find now comes to sign
As joy in kind moves and aligns

A sensuous thrill can forge delight
As wordplay grills deep unseen sights

A poignant dance as music curls
Fond happy trance of thought that hurls

A time to think upon soul quest
As poise now links sheer festive zest

A choice of feel can surely thrill
A broken will to mend and heal

A space to find true peace of mind
Beyond mere signs the truth you find

Our Expressive Self

Existential graph of
graphical language
Classical narrative
causalities anguish
Expressive instrument
exposing our emotions
Simple and untainted
intuitive senses devotion
There is a glamour to it
a perfection or symmetry
Creative imagination
uncensored chemistry
Breaking free from the
confines of reality
Thoughts give way to
change in time actually
Provoking insight into the
depths of imagination
Standing by ones own
creative narration
Visionary so liberating
and disoriented
Leaving our words
somber or animated
Spectrum of our expressions
gives one a completeness
Permanence of conquest will
never embrace the meekness

Bundled Up In Bondage

My poverty-decaying teeth start to chatter
From the cool blows of your breathing
Bundled up in bondage,
I’m unable to see the light in farewell
Things have gotten too far between us…I can still hear the hallow drums,
Beating with doubt, apprehension and disdain
It’s echoing falsehoods and it’s doing us no good
It’s doing us no good…putting us in a rotten mood
Somehow, we have something in common –
We both have shame that overflows in us…
It’s been there all along…
From the beginning of time, I’ve been
All alone, all along!
All alone, all along!
Do sing a joyous song
So, that I’ll feel like I belong
It’s a shame that we must part soon
But, cheer up, dearest – go get some rest and sing a positive song
While I’ll be shining like your midnight moon

~~Chorus~~

Give me a chance to overcome
These waves of emotions
Understand my situation
Don’t pay attention to the commotion
I see you in secret,
Skipping with pride and unspoiled vitality
While I’m… frozen forever
Livin’ this life guilt-free is impossible in my case…
Save me from the contemplations,
Releasing insidious lies

~~~~~~~
Your screams fail to reach my ears
You won’t hear me cry aloud
These tears were bottled up inside for years
I just wanna scream out loud!
Turn the wheel in my mind’s eye
I’m overflowing with guilt and horror
Don’t let the tide of terror sweep over me with woe
Open wide your mouth
Let me fill it in with words of pure, inviting insight,
Not dread-infested remorse
~~~~~~~

It’s strange really –
I had the same guilt as you,
But that was a long time ago…
I can barely remember
When I befriended that stranger
I didn’t even know it would cause
All kinds of mischief and danger…
That angered me to the core
Yet, it told me there was still some hope in store

PRISONER OF POETRY

PRISONER OF POETRY

Is it me in this verse, a strange insight for sure
As it is someone who I don’t really recognise
Am I writing these words, or someone inside
If so, who might be playing the role of a guide
And don’t be too hasty in saying that it’s wise
As if it is encouraged, it will create even more

So, do I have any remaining control of words
Or now, a helpless prisoner of poetry and lost
Could it be a monster that I somehow released
Or that crazy idea that I thought was deceased
Allowing my creativity to dominate at any cost
Not even free to separate the whey from curds

The stanzas and lines do paint a strange picture
As the person in these verses can’t really be me
It’s my hand that appears to be gripping the pen
I should try closing my eyes and counting to ten
And can’t even walk away sane from this fantasy
Now bound by metaphor and subject to stricture

The poem is done, yet it describes someone new
As if I’m in a whole new and different dimension
An exposed inner self, that I never knew existed
Perhaps all this time, a side of me I just resisted
But I just have to stop this to relieve the tension
And I must look deeper inside, to see if it’s true

“Woe to those who call evil good and good evil,
who put darkness for light and light for darkness,
who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter. “
                                                             Isaiah 5:20

The state of modern times sheds a dim light
on what is now considered wrong or right.
The present times provide much less insight
to know a right from self-assigned delight-
or what is best now to support or fight?
The world has morphed into a different one
for what is now considered wrong or right.
How simple those days were where I came from.

Old-fashioned values seemed to disappear,
replaced by modern ones that seem less clear.
What was taboo is now approved, with cheer.
What was approved- dismissed as old frontier.
Past times supplied a logic more sincere
on standards made, not knowing they would be
replaced by modern ones that seem less clear.
How simple were the days that molded me.

Hope You Get Your Eyesight Back Soon

I can only conclude,
That you are suffering from temporary blindness ,
And that you will recover your eyesight,
Before you find yourself alone for real and for keeps.

I pray every day that the recovery will give you,
Insight into the fact,
That others are close by,
With the same needs as you,
The same headaches as you,
The same excuses as you,
And who need help just as much as you,
But still manage to recognise that there are others in the same boat,
And are frantically manning the pumps,
To keep us all afloat.

Not blindly rushing about,
Unaware of the damage they are doing,
To structural integrity,
Or the potential cost in time, money, and lives,
Their blindness can cause.

Looking forward to a time when you,
See us,
The way we see you,
As the alternative,
Is downright heart-breaking.
