On Poetry and Prose

A bridge from colloquial to courtly
fare
A span where idealism and fantasy
pair
A railway to the existential realm;
celestial lair
A conduit through which rational
discourse can flare

Deep medium to: forage, inculcate,
and inform
Broad brush to paint rare beauty;
sculpt surrealistic form
Incisive scalpel to surgically alter
the societal norm
Delicate utensil to educate on
civility and decorum

A literary organ; a prosaic construct
A mechanism our syntax to
deconstruct
An analytical tool; an observational
viaduct
Introspective milieu to reduct;
extrovertive sphere to reconstruct

A semantical edifice that aspiring
wit, lofty orations implore
An experimental structure
gramatical anomalies to explore
A thematic repository in which
concrete ideas, abstract notions to
pour
A vernacular cathedral butressed by
an idiomatic core

Premium Member Grade School Teacher-PS

My life as a grade school teacher
Is like a life-long student and schooler
Always working with colors, pens and papers
While taking care of kids as their second mother.

Still, I oftentimes sleep quite late at night
Check exams, plan learner’s lessons that delight
In the morning, I need to wake up early
To be at school before our flag ceremony.

As I impart my knowledge and skills
I learn a lot of things, head down to my heels
I learn to be more patient and understanding
More hardworking, very kind and loving.

I learn by experience, seminars and discovery
Embracing new teaching techniques and technology
Continue enhancing all my talents and creativity
In many areas, to teach my learners efficiently.

I’ve got so many other exciting multiple roles
Classroom maintenance, nurse, guidance counsellor
Dancer, singer, artist, director, actress or actor
A lot more, to mold and shape learner’s life and future.

I also play with my learners like a big kid
To promote relationship, inculcate values, I also read
Despite our emotional farewell on every graduation
They’ll always come, visit me in my school-roles repetition.

I believe, teacher has a schooler’s life that'll last
Only after a long journey loaded in a carabao's drawn cart
Grand graduation will come with unimaginable fulfillment
And achievement felt in the heart only on age of retirement.

Premium Member Twelve Things I Would Teach My Children

Children, our most treasured wealth shouldn’t grow maimed
In joyful living and the art of life, they need to be groomed

At a young age when they are flexible and pliable
A mother’s gentle guidance will help them not to stumble

I feel I should extend my guiding hand to teach
How to live happy and attain the stature they should reach

I would teach my children a dozen and more values
To be fair and just in all they do and shine in life like jewels

I insist, from the right path they should never waver
Also, to speak out their mind without fear or favor

They should learn to love their body with all its flaws
Keeping fit, but knowing it is internal beauty that glows

Train them to ensure personal hygiene, keep things tidy
Follow a system, be punctual and in decisions, be steady

Inculcate in them a love for their parents, siblings, and the family
Treating all men with respect and love, facing criticism calmly

Make them diligent in their study, dutiful and punctilious
Braving life with its ups and downs, springing back with resilience

Train them to accept that life offers a mixed pack of joy and grief
And hardly there is time to waste in lamentation, as life is brief

Train them to be vigilant not to fall in traps set by predators
As, in our world, there are masked assassins and imposters

Above all, make them love God, giving the reins of life to His hands
Knowing things are never in man’s control, but everything works as He plans

All religions in the world preach the noblest morals
Show us live harmoniously without quarrels.
Constitutions of nations advocate ideal ways
Inculcate unity and fraternity always.
The pious scriptures, great preaching contained
Rights and duties, the manuals clearly explained
Ancient cultures are forever to be cherished
Their roots and origins shouldn’t be perished
Wars, never be the antidotes; take issues to discussions
Or else the whole race has to face the repercussions
Acknowledge that no race is superior to others
All have their own radiance and unseen covers
Self-centric, the only reason for all plights
Change mindsets and then think for the rights
Are we the sole owners of this soil?
To rebuild this pristine land, need to toil.
Summits and seminars may find out reasons and remedies
Let’s start! Be a part of the marathon to bring back the melodies.

5 Things Every Wife Needs From Her Husband

As there is a huge list of expectations that women have from their husband but the most basic and common needs are listed down which every husband should keep in mind in order to lead a happy and successful married life. Behind every successful man there is a woman, so in order to be successful keep her happy by following these tips.

To Be Loved (Physical and Emotional support):
Every woman looks for emotional and moral support from their husband. As sometimes she feels low due to the household responsibilities and is unable to strike a work-life balance. So in such a scenario, it is the duty of a husband to give her shoulder to lean on and to make her feel important in his life.

For Example, Husband should spend quality time compared to a quantity such as spending 30 minutes daily with his wife. Where you can connect with her emotionally by providing undivided attention (Without T.V and Telephone). A husband should also hug and cuddle his wife to lend her physical support.

To have Cared:
A husband should take care of his wife in order to make her feel special and important in his life. A husband should take care of her small needs such as texting her and asking her about how she is doing, ensuring that she had lunch, asking her well being when she is unwell. Many times the husband can bring some gift or surprise in order to make her happy and feel special. The husband should also try and remember not only his own anniversary and birthday but also of his wife’s family and friends.

For Example: Whenever the husband is buying something special for his wife he should keep in mind the preferences of his wife. Like buying her favourite chocolate or flowers.

To be Respected:
Many times the husband tends to take his wife for granted and doesn’t accept her difference of opinions. It is important for the husband to value his wife for the efforts that she puts in taking care of the family and about his needs. A husband should not talk rudely or mock his wife in front of their family and friends. The husband should appreciate her in order to boost her self-esteem and also inculcate confidence if she lacks in certain areas.

For Example, Husband can motivate his wife by appreciating about the good things she does like organizing house well, dressing well and for cooking.

Our impulses does civilisation set out to control
Regulation rules.
Let slip society's commandments
And the feral runs riot.

Between the rational and the visceral
There is a constant struggle
Identified so starkly in The Heart Of Darkness
Where unmoored from the diktats of custom
Kurtz his moral compass loses.

This same lesson does Lord Of The Flies
Try to inculcate
And the horrors of tribalism
Does indicate
With sadistic cruelty
Buttressed by the strength of power

Today the internet with all its temptations
Anonymity,images of perversion
And the hubris of the individual
The shackles of constraint sunders
To drive the individual
To explore
The dark side of human nature.

It is a deeper belief
That within one must reside
A bulwark to throw up
Against the rising tide
To hold back
The wrecking waves
Imperilling
What the Good Lord set out to save.

Long Since Stopped Binge Reading Bertrand Russell

I, (a bookish educated intelligent nerd,
albeit three score plus tres años)
constitutes a novel titled
The Virgin's Lover
by Philippa Gregory
another writer from England.

Not so much to boast
yours truly sunk trenchant figurative teeth
into material authored courtesy
aforementioned former renown British philosopher,
logician, and social critic.

As an academic, he worked
in philosophy, mathematics, and logic.

Just to reiterate
quite a couple plus years ago,
I plunged further into
trying to comprehend
(and did study every last page
birthed from said storied academic)
erudite epistemological philosophication
courtesy said renown British polymath,
philosopher, logician, mathematician,
historian, writer, social critic,
political activist, and Nobel laureate.

Whew! His Hume among us treatise
A History of Western Philosophy Quite profound
gleaned material eyes surmised
and into cerebral cortex his notions did drill
offering grist for intellectual mill
yours truly, a johnny come lately (me)
doth thirstily swill.

Though challenging material
to comprehend without shadow of doubt,
yours truly disciplines himself
to utter words out loud
in an effort accentuate, enunciate, inculcate...

No matter said storied author
among grateful dead fifty plus years,
I experience a communion
integrating esprit de corps
of one garden variety
beetle browed foo fighter (me)

They've Betrayed Us - II

II.
Do you know of lovely Janice,
freshman in university,
Dad sent her to expand her mind,
to reason and think critically,
hoping that it would prepare her
for a world that often is harsh,
instead she came back spouting stuff,
that was well-and-truly bizarre.
First, she had chopped off all her braids,
“It’s appropriation,” she said,
then went into some bullsh-t spiel
on how ‘only blacks’ can wear dreads,
ignoring that Celts wore dreadlocks
before knowing Africa was there,
and that most cultures in the world
had figured out how to braid hair!
And a whole bunch of other stuff
that she tried to pass as deep thought,
she hated ‘all men,’ and the country,
and endlessly railed against God.
This wasn’t something that she had
organically stumbled upon,
the more she spoke, the more he knew
the origin of all this wrong,
it all came from the professors,
the ones ensconced in liberal arts,
espousing luxury beliefs,
to young souls still ruled by the heart.
Taking tired socialism,
dressing it up as some crusade
to make youth feel like they’re ‘heroes,’
fighting ‘injustice’ in their age,
getting degrees in bad ideas,
that are of no use in real life,
gender theory, post modernism,
and other academic tripe,
so when those young minds graduate
with two hundred thousand in debt,
a barista serving coffee
is the best job that they can get.
And where are all the professors
when the ex-students see the flaws?
Safe up in ivory towers,
protect by the tenure laws.
They never have to pay the price
for bad ideas they inculcate,
luxury thoughts they can only hold
due to the wealth they claim to hate,
pay no price for lives they destroy
with leftist ideology,
trusted them to lead young adults,
but they’ve led them to tragedy,
learning nothing on how to think,
just some sleaze-ball professor’s will,
these academics betrayed us,
we really should treat them like filth.

Father At a Loss To Express Care and Concern For Punim

Helplessness immobilizes yours truly,
I genuinely agitate
permanently lasting indelible impact deux
biological offspring unfairly bore brunt,
compliantly, complicity, and complimentary
I avidly, doggedly, instinctively helped create

subsequently, unintentionally, or willingly
unpleasantly affected as adults facilitate
learned behaviors to navigate
their respective independent lives
both managed to coordinate
transitioning as responsible adults

more successful than me -
I do congratulate
their separate feats, titillate
papa, who admires emotional growth,
though grievously despair
weaknesses invariably did inculcate

their once innocent selves did graduate
courtesy positive resources I dedicate
to other then myself, commiserate
as unwittingly tortured saturate
without knowing and implicate
thine guilty poor role model,

me - heartache afflicted with anguish,
especially younger offspring doth indicate
perhaps apathy, difficulty, paucity to equate
body/mind synergy, she doth habituate
herself with destructive behavior,
vicariously saddening me psyche

where alarm doth germinate
yet... particular influences I
awkwardly essentially, and
inadvertently now articulate
unsure if word choice (mine)
obscures soulful heartfelt

angst that doth resonate
oft time does afflict my existence
thousands of miles distant,
nonetheless doth percolate
reckon, reflect,
and reiterate pointlessly berate
to nobody in particular -

minus followers courtesy
various and sundry
digital poetry venues articulate
and doth interrogate,
fulminate, and futilely castigate
himself psychologically damaged goods

paternal legacy, their salad days
hoop fully mushrooming into great
and healthy women, where
every last trace of my
objectionable faults they eradicate,
cuz Shana thee mean more
than fine spun gold!
