The winged god Zephyrus, handsome and graceful
gently flapped his wings, gliding across the meadows.
His eyes fell on naked youths splashing at play
in the sparkling water of a deep wide pool, sheltered
by willow trees, where fragrant flowers bloomed.
He slowed his flight and looked with lust and admiration.
On the green grass he espied a tender youth;
athletic and beautiful was this young Spartan prince,
scantily dressed, playing his flute with nimble touch.
Zephyrus’ heart fluttered and leapt; he could not help
falling deeply in love with beautiful Hyacinth.
Little did he know that he was already being
courted by Apollo! Out of sight he lay in wait
then made his move and sought him out at sunset.
He approached him and with golden words he tried
to tempt his heart, but all in vain. Though impressed,
Hyacinth remained firm and faithful to Apollo.
That night, Zephyrus many restless hours spent
alone, ignoring Chloris’s sexual charms.
Entangled thoughts engulfed his frenzied mind,
jealousy clawed at his heart, tore deep within.
Dawn arrived, and bleary eyed he hastened forth
towards the hills, in search of calm respite.
Alas, it was not meant to be; envy reared its head
with poisoned fangs that sent him reeling mad.
Emotions changed from red to green, and in despair
he flew high up, aimlessly circling in the sky.
Then all at once, upon a verdant field below,
he caught sight of Hyacinth and Apollo
playfully engaged in discus throwing.
The green-eyed monster lunged and with swift intent
Zephyrus blew a gust of wind that swerved the discus
from its route and it hit Hyacinth on the head
resulting in instant death. Jealousy prevailed.
Furious yet heartbroken, Apollo held Hyacinth
tightly in his arms, blood dripping from his temple;
and with one last act of love he changed that blood
into a most beautiful flower called Hyacinth.

Frozen

I look outside and see the snow
                                   running from the clouds
and even though it’s hitting the
pavement at top speed, it lands ever
                                     so gently and silently.
                               This phenomenon amazes me
every time it snows, which by the way
may or may not be very often where I live
but it does happen every year.

It really is quite beautiful to look at
when it covers everything like a beautiful
white fluffy blanket. My eyes wrinkle
at their sides as I smile at the beauty
of earths white crown. Children’s voices
ring with laughter playing in the soft
newly created playground and snow blowers
start their engines with a loud roar.
                                  Also this happens every year.

I sit here in my warm cosy living room
with my fireplace burning, enjoying the
warmth inside and the beauty outside,
until nature calls my dog to come check her out.
I open the door and the cold air slaps me to reality,
and those green eyes of mine turn greener as
I think of my neighbors south of the boarder
who are still walking around with shorts on,
and despite the cold my envy burns every year.

Our Green-Eyed Monster

My husband and I, we are not the jealous sort.
But once in a while a green-eyed monster peeks in.
He comes lurking about to diminish our joy.
Not enough to destroy, but too often to toy.

Hubby is a skillful photo-shop-artist with vast finesse.
I on the other hand paint and make a big mess.
My Photoshop doodles seek childhood; I regress.
Thought strikes my imagination; I exuberantly express.

We encourage one another; and strive to excel.
Stroking our egos with gentle words, we share well.
Two souls snuggled in oaks; each repairing from pains.
Lacking outside attention and financial gains.

So, when someone drops by, we each want to brag.
One look at his work might as well be my gag.
Magnificent landscapes defy poetic words.
When the green-eyed monster leaps in, it’s absurd.

How does it happen; why does pride go awry?
Why does my heart start churning; my soul loose its wits?
My sweet perspectives on joys then, no longer fits.
It’s that Green-eyed Monster…that’s why!

First I’m ignored as he with words outwits.
Inside myself my soul becomes pricked.
I withdraw in silence as one might predict.
The green-eyed monster wins this blitz!

The problem is that when jealousy stokes.
Depression chokes any desire to try.
The, works unpicked make one want to cry –
I HATE that Green-eyed Monster!

Relationship Rainbow (((((((

RED
Such colour may change shade as emotions change their course.
Love, Lust, and Anger depending on its source.

YELLOW
My Mornings are brighter, I always have a grinning smile on my face, and the sun always shines if we are both in the same place.

PINK
Rising warmth, my cheeks feel flushed, from the first ever time our hands together touched.

GREEN
It's a tricky colour for sure, as someone who has been a green-eyed monster many times before, the nature of us humans sometimes we can't ignore.
Reassure the other person they are who your heart beats for.
That is not all; Green means in time of health, and giving one another care as sickness knocks on the door

PURPLE
The calm before the storm, content and in a bubble. Combined with the colour blue , showing signs of violet trouble.

ORANGE
A blended family of our own, we unite a happy home, and with every year we stay together my love has only grown

BLUE
Comfort in silence, words need not be spoken, sometimes a person's presence and a listening ear help when feeling broken

Be not their solution, but A sheltering support. untangle the net that their thoughts are trapped in and caught

(((((((

Each colour of the rainbow guides our relationship, although a slippery slope with shades that vary and dimmer hopes. I know at the end and after rainfall awaits our pot of gold

The Adversary of God

The Adversary of God

It's been said
To dream a little dream
To gather the extreme
To exploit your angers
To worship your fears
The Creator of all question
You enter your confrontation
Of where fear meets reality
So strange, deranged psychedelic
Please rain
A champagne whirlwind spins
Creates a Great Storm
Blasting through
Fuqqing all the forgotten dead
"Necrophelliac I am"
Said the tall green man
"Let me inject my love into your veins. For I am half man so Big and Strong.
The other half, snake. Blackened soul".
This world in my eyes so far and away
So strange, deranged
Psychedelic
Just rain
And the champagne whirlwinds spin creates the greatest storm blasting through
And he fuqqed all of the forgotten dead
And he fuqqed, he fuqqed
Until they bled
This world in my eyes
So far and away
So strange, deranged
Psychedelic
Please rain
So pass this kiss around
   and around
You blow this kiss around
   and around
And everyday as the day's gone
   good
You fuqqed this kiss so big and round
This world in my eyes
So far and away
This thrill in disguise
Cum laughing
Come play
This fuqq so strange
So fuqqing deranged
   And the psychedelics?
It's just my God Damned
                                       RAIN........

The Deadly Seven

Which one is your chosen poison?
I dare you to say none
But both you and I know
Out of seven there will be one
Let's go through them one at a time
Come to a possible solution
For if you're going to go to hell
At least know for which Deadly Sin
Are you always yearning for something?
Possessions or wealth, do you feel a need?
Constant thoughts of want on your mind
All bought out by Greed
Sumptuous feasts with plenty to consume
Indulging in delights with no company
Excessively eating more than is required
Extravagance brings with it Gluttony
Desires that need fulfilment
Thoughts and actions to some disgust
Craving pleasures of the body
Satisfying the craving of Lust
What someone else has do you desire?
Think you're better than many?
Jealousy to some it is known
That green eyed monster Envy
Unwilling to get too physical
Lazing around like a loath
Failure completing that which is required
Characteristics common with Sloth
Always in a rage, seeking out revenge
A vindictive nature enabling you to bash
Extreme anger coupled with hate
A furious temper known as Wrath
Belief that you are superior
Always feeling very self satisfied
Called vain on many occasions
This arrogance is Pride
No one is perfect these sins are proof
But now you can try to dispel
Behaviour and actions of any given sin
You may even stay out of hell!

Love Is

Love is the invisible immeasurable force that has the power to create or destroy, change nations and destinies, create alliances, can start wars and shows the mercy that comes from the heart. Love creates great works of art, powerful novels, tender poetry and a child's love letter.

Love can be a green eyed monster that can control a man's soul, a young girl's heart, start a fight, kill a man and heal a broken heart. Love can give you strength and courage and scare you to death and leave you unable to speak.

Love is a mother's soothing words on a stormy night
Is the main ingredient in grandmother's home cooked meals
The blistered hands of an exhausted father clawing to provide for his family
And the teacher going the extra mile for a student

Love is the loyalty of the dog watching for his master's return
A wife helping her husband pass onto Heaven
Love is in the note mom puts in her son's lunchbox
And the bride's secret whispers in her husband's ear

Love helps a stranger
Love is what the brave soldier gives to die for others
Love brings a child to life
Love is in the sloppy cake the little girl makes for her daddy

Love is light and it comes form God, through God, to us because of his love for us. To be offered and shared without price, asking nothing in return, free as love should be.

I married the man of my dreams.
At seventeen I had gone to extremes.
I loved him as if he were everything.
For him I could try to be anything.

When I say that I loved him dearly,
Let me state this very clearly.
I loved him like he held the air I breathed,
And when he was away I simply seethed.

As we went along our way in life,
There came to be so much strife.
We went out with men and women,
And my worries always had him in.

Jealousy, the green-eyed monster
Stole my comfort as I did ponder.
And he carried the same anxiety.
Neither of us felt too much piety.

Eventually, those feelings we carried,
Led us into a place where we unmarried.
And living apart we discovered thoughts,
That showed us both we had lost lots.

It seems today we are distant friends,
After living through years of amends.
We both know we did it all wrong,
But in the end we are both strong.

Jealousy will lead the heart to ache,
And cause the troubled mind to quake.
It is truly a devil to contend with,
The wisdom I tell you is not a myth.

So still your heart when you fall in love,
And listen to the one who is up above.
He will guide you to the right ways,
And help you to always give praise.

Green Eyed Monster

There’s a green eyed monster over there
Sitting stubborn upon a chair
Watching every move I make
He’s waiting till I make a mistake

But jealousy will get him know where
I do what I want and do what I dare
He can look and he can stare
He won’t be stopped if he starts to flare

So he’ll have to learn to swallow his pride
The jealousy stuff he holds inside
Don’t let that green old monster out
He’s starts to roar and starts to shout

This is a battle he needs to learn
To control his temper and not be stern
If he refuses to play the ball
He could end up, just losing it all

Sometimes anger gets the best of him
His jealousy rages from within
I’ve told him before don’t lose your cool
Jealousy just makes you look a fool

I know he’s the hulk but I don’t care
He’s very tender and likes to share
I just feel sorry for the other men
Because when he’s angry he’s not their friend

He's a green mean fighting machine
Huge muscles bulging firm and lean
They call him the hulk, but he's just a teen
He's a massive bulk and can be mean

So I warn you now don’t come too close
If he turns green you could end up toast
He’s just watches me from a far
Making sure nothing bizarre

Green-eyed monster
                  Rears it's ugly head.
                         Those eyes
                           Seething
                      With contempt,
                             Trained
                   On his competition.
You-belong-to-only-me possessiveness
           Betrays a stolid disposition.
                            His lover
                        And his pride
                           On the line.
         The rope of emotional restraint,
           Gradually slipping from grasp.
                Pangs of intense anger,
                             Arrested;
                         A molten lava
                              Close to
                     Violently erupting.
                             Paranoia
                       Geysers upward.
                 Tentacles of insecurity
            Steadfastly hooked onto him.
                   His jealous thoughts
                                Racing
                        In nanoseconds.
