Premium Member Gifts From Emerald and Verde

An artsy faerie of Emerald green
with her dragon Verde can be seen,
deep in the woods by a stump of oak;
this pair were quite creative folks.

A faerie gifted with a talent for carving
though she earned not a single farthing;
she carved and carved for children you see
bunnies, flowers, birds and bees.

Verde would fly into their dreams at night
as they slept beneath bright moonlight;
he’d whisper deep into their ears,
stories to quell all of their fears.

Then softly, he crept to their beds
and lay a carving by their head;
with faerie magic it was imbued;
a gift of magic and wonders true.

A good luck charm for their protection
full of wisdom to give them direction;
for guidance from the elementals,
is that which comes right from the angels.

When We Are Together

There is you then there is me
Together we should be
The arithmetic of love
2 is one when we
Your smile and your grace
My new found happy place
We don’t have to be a item
Having a friend that’s so great
I feel I found a counter part
Someone to reciprocate
Our paths crossed not by coincidence
I believe it’s fate
When you’re around it’s like your energy changes the climate
I feel my vibe rise, to an unfamiliar high rate
Heart beating out my chest I feel my body vibrate
You’re my good luck charm
I’m ready to raise the stakes
This chance if I don’t take
Would be my life’s biggest mistake
That’s why I’m competing for your heart
Like it was a race
U make me feel invincible
I’ll only accept first place
I’ll go with you anywhere
Especially your birth place
There’s so many girls who want to be in your place
Jealous cuz I only want to be in your face
When we held hands
I knew it wasn’t fake
Still me smile thinking bout the looks on people’s face
I hope you’ll join me while I take this leap of faith
Hopefully one day Ill see how your lips taste
While I pull you in close
A warm embrace
I fantasize about grabbing the small of your waist
If I can’t have you I’ll feel like I’m in last place
The thought of it makes me feel like I’m in my last days

Fire

Painful.

Like a sock with a hole in it.
That grows.
Faster and faster.
Until I curl up on the floor.

Curling like twine.
There is no hole, my sock is fine.
What is painful is the fire.
Then I heard the choir.
A choir that laughs, as I bury myself.
Under the carpet, near the shelf.
The shelf falls over, right near my arm.
I wish I had my good luck charm.

Incapacitating.

That’s when everything grows, except you.
Flames.
That appear for no reason.
Except to laugh at me.

Flames that grow as I start to stand.
Staring at the fingers on my hand.
One by one, my fingers implode.
I jumped in the car, with fire on the road.

Painful. Incapacitating.

Fires and torn socks.

So I continue my day.

Love Untitled

You carried my heart in your pocket like loose change

No regard for love just using me when it was convenient

Sometimes you would even forget I was there

But the sound of glass shattering and the faint whisper of freedom yearning for wings

Would jog your memory

As the melody of my heartbeat would caress your ears

You threw me around where ever you pleased and placed me in anywhere to be left behind

Only thinking of me when you found me where you last left me

Treating my heart like a good luck charm, something less than the precious life I had

You carried my heart in your pocket so I decided to leave it behind

Because you broke my heart beyond repair and I needed to learn how to love myself all over again

p.s. I’m rebuilding me so I can love again…

Premium Member Tribute to Elvis

Teddy Bear, oh Teddy Bear
You want me to stop trying to care?
hard-headed woman, don’t be cruel
I am stuck on you, like a fool

That weekend we spent in the Heartbreak Hotel
You were my good luck charm, put me under your spell
Remember the Kentucky rain? I told you to follow that dream?
I guess I was not in it, you left me sewn in a seam.

I found myself wallowing in the ghetto with burning love
A hound dog, a fool, a man who has no thoughts of above
My little sister tried to rescue me, you remember Mavis?
She reminded me about our movie called Viva Las Vegas

Anyway, you want me, I am ready to be taken away
If I can dream of anything, it is our bond, okay?
Memories of us is all I have left right now
can’t help falling in love with you since we had Moscow

My new goal is for you to love me tender and true.
We could watch American Trilogy, it is brand new.

Tatterdemalion

Three bangle bracelets
three initial charms, discrete
July birthday gift from my grandkids.
Three bangle bracelets
initially a set complete
until one bangle hit the skids.

Searching for a small bauble
proved very unsuccessful
December has too many places.
Searching for a new bauble
proved equally distressful,
I must buy a whole new bracelet.

Four months later a downpour
caused flooding along our ditch
checking it out, discovery!
Four months later that downpour
had washed my dogie from her niche
April rains had set her free.

Tatterdemalion
she looked deplorable and mangled
having spent months on the street.
Tatterdemalion
she looks adorable, re-bangled
now - good-luck charm – oft-beat.

Dragonfly-The Miracle Insect

Dragonfly-the miracle insect

Oh… Dragonfly, the miracle insect
You are the symbol of change and self realization
Source of mental and emotional maturity,
Your scurrying flight across water
represents an act of going beyond the surface
glance at deeper implications and aspects of life.
Your agile flight and its ability to move in all six directions
Exclude a sense of power and poise
this can be seen only with age and maturity.
Your speed at amazing 45 miles an hour
Hover like a helicopter and fly backward like a hummingbird,
Fly straight up, down and on either side
Your wing strokes elegance and grace just like a veteran ballet dancer
You are wonderful and exhibits Iridescence both on your wings as well as body
It is kaleidoscopic

Your eyes are wonderful
most amazing and awe inspiring sights
You can see in all 360 degrees around
That symbolizes the uninhibited vision of the mind
And ability to see beyond the limitations of the human self

You are innocent and harmless, not bite
To Japanese you are a symbol of summer and autumn
And admired and respected all
Samurai use you as a symbol of power and best of all victory
For Chinese you are a symbol of prosperity, harmony and as a good luck charm
To Native Americans you are a sign of happiness, speed and purity
because you eats from the wind itself
Those may be the hidden facts that you have inhabited our planet for almost 300
Million years!

Premium Member The Way I Felt With You

I remember kissing your lips in the rain
Promising we would never change
Please stay and I will swallow my pride
I couldn't hear any more of your sad goodbyes
Stay here and touch my heart to make me feel alive
Even I knew that our love was never shy
You took my hands but held me too close
You promised me you would never let me go
I stared into your eyes and wiped the raindrops from your face
We opened our hearts and ran; we escaped from this place
You shared with me more secrets you found deep within
We opened old wounds just to stop the bleeding again
The breaths that we took started to slow
We held each other tight as we fell out of our clothes
The whispers of sweet I love you's could be heard around the room
The love we thought we left behind was exhumed
My mind lives in that moment forever
Just another restless night with you and I together
I wish I could say our ending was a bad dream
Or a script that was written for pretend with bad scenes
I watched you as you walked away, and you never second guessed your steps
A heart that was ripped at the seams was the only thing left
The memory of us haunts me and doesn't let me sleep at night
The fire I felt in my heart was one only you could ignite
I long for that feeling I felt as if I was in your arms
You kept my heart in your pocket as if it was your good luck charm
I wish it was simple to go back to those good days
The ones I spent with you that I wish to replay
Come back and kiss me and tell me you want to be loved
Because I promise I would do anything to be your one
I will forever remember the way your fingertips felt across my skin
Because it was like you brought me to life over and over again

Premium Member Farmer's Lady

Sunshine’s leisure graces her poise
flapping upward ‘pon nature’s call,
polka-dotted, the field enjoys
buzzes of hum with each landfall;
as cluster of leaves waves its shawl.

The tender ribs of light enshrine
her painted bodice that saves crops,
one wiggle snares pests in whooping line
while harvest thrills bug’s toil, non-stop
farmer's lady, tough yet divine.

Off she skates toward heavenly
a good luck charm that boldly flows,
on moonlit gloss like spring fairy
with dulcet wings, her flight bestows
unmindful of the heap she sows!
