~A Gem of an Inheritance~

Leave your family with virtues
taught, that are Divine!
A major quality called integrity,
will keep their world ashine.

Teach them to never be a sheep,
But, in all relations to shepherd goodness!
A sparkling gem to share and keep.

Above all, to honor God and learn His
teachings.
To know fully He and Only He,
is the source of all Healings.

To not speak a word of evil against
another, a most egregious sin!
All the rage today, in this ungrateful
world we live in!

Above all to share with all others.
For, indeed we are all His sons
and daughters;hence all sisters
and brothers.

Teach them they are perfect as is,
There is zero reward in all our
worldly wins!
For winds come and then pass us
quickly like a bitter, winter wind.

These values are not in 401Ks
nor big banking accounts.
The values of The Spirit?
Oh! How much more, they do count!

Premium Member WORTHY GEM

Close up and behold gem of worth
Gargantuan with respect to value
Defying dirt from mother earth.

Through microscope midst vibrant light
Lens reveal precious treasure
Iridescent, glowing against dross’ blight.

Under microscope divine, held graciously magnified
There am I, faith-polished by the Creator’s hand
To fulfill His assigned role, as precious stone* beautified.

*1 Peter 2:5 - Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

Hidden Gem

Written By: D. Collins 3/5/19

Inside every one of us there is a hidden gem.
That best of the best buried deep within.
It is that person who sparkles and shines.
Through a genuine love for all of mankind.

There is a hidden gem inside all of us.
Which, consistently should be polished up.
It is the catalyst that makes us so.
The river from where our kindness flows.

Learn to be different from all other men.
That's when we'll discover our hidden gem.
It just doesn't appear, we have to search for it.
It let's positive things roll off our lips.

It is deep down inside, we have to pull it out.
Then, proudly wear it like a Rolex watch.
That gem is the goodness that we all possess.
It may be the salvation to our happiness.

Premium Member Tip of a Gem Illuminated

There was once a spark in Heaven's sky
generating an electric storm painted an angel
it coloured a rainbow within the sky mystery of the east
a bridge where the eyes walked on filled with warmth
The breath of a thousand winds held silent surrender
so clear was the promise made Unto God Himself
it begged for Mercy thanking Him for such a gift
I found a love so great it worshipped with salted drops
forming the most precious pearl inside a shell
it burned like acid devoured with the pain of not knowing why you deserted the truth
Deeply engraved there stands words spun by the man
an oath once taken can never be broken welded to his nature
never really knowing the future had became mapped in a journey
it went into darkness calling your name over and over again
in the Light of forgiveness I thank you with all my heart
we all hold out for Hope in finding Paradise one day within a storm

Blood Red Gem

I spent my day shopping for rubies
searching for jewels, glittering red
love of Venus, in strawberry stones
fortune favours, that's how they said.

diadem of diamonds, splashes amber
fierce blaze of fire, polished in shine
red rose pendant glowing in whims
superstellar color, garnets crystalline.

Here's the real ruby, in its royal scepter
pale moonlight, russet autumn shades
crowned on this ring, an euphoric cherry?
No, it's just a fake, the tint masquerades.

Her wedding dress of red silk brocade,
poppies and buttercups sewn to the hem.
A matching ruby to flicker a misaligned fate,
a hardened heart buys, the blood red gem.

Premium Member Light and Love

I spent my day shopping for rubies
Choosing between such bold beauties
Rosy reds, blushing with enthusiasm
Glowing so profusely, as if it’s phantasm

There were hues of timid pink and cherry
Vivid arrays of crimson that seemed so merry
I lost my head amid the sparkling treasures
Sensing inspiration amongst these pleasures

Reflections of wisdom were filling my reveries
Enlightenment whispers across gentle memories
I yearn for the moments when I caught sight
Of that exquisite gem so lovely and so bright

Magnificent joy soothed my senses with serenity
Causing my heart to realize this could be obscenity
Mysterious warmth breathed into my very soul
Blowing passion and promise that would make me whole

There wasn’t a doubt about this stone’s ability
Caressing my spirit with the assurance of nobility
Dreams were unleased where once was catastrophe
Living feeling opened doors to hearts blooming bashfully

Flourishing words came into my thoughts and plans
Reminding me of someone who had such strong hands
Their spirit danced with insight and warm enthusiasm
Within their nature there could be no genuine sarcasm

I assure you that I soon discovered the perfect jewel
One that would send ripples of thrills to make one drool
There is a certainty that this gemstone will stay with me
A dazzling reminder of how light and love always agree

Premium Member The Opal Is a Very Special Gem

Every color of the rainbow is so artistically arrayed,

In each magnificent opal so brilliantly displayed!

Each stone is unique in its varied and colorful design,

And I have two very special reasons why it is a favorite of mine.

My only sister was named Opal who to me was very dear.

Though she now resides in Paradise, for her I yet shed a tear.

And since I was spawned in October, the opal is my birthstone.

Oh, Lordy! I'm reminded I'll soon reach that eighty-sixth milestone!

(Favorite is the opal size 6 for Vera)

Premium Member My Birthstone Gem

Peridot

Of all the fine gems that I know, my favorite is Peridot.
My August birthstone pleases me, since color green and I agree.
Now, Peridot is lesser-known among most gemstones that are shown.
It once was called 'Gem Of The Sun', and Cleopatra's most loved one.

Egyptian scrolls say priests had cups, adorned with Peridot for sups;
that Peridot empowered them to speak with Gods thru this fine gem.
Ancient Hawaiian history, says stones are tears of dear Pele,
the Goddess of volcanoes, fire; her gift from earth they so admire.

Mysterious, some crystals of our Peridot, came from above,
in pallasite meteorites, a gift from space that sure delights.
Our Peridot is only seen in varied shades of color green.
Most other gemstones will be found in multi colors 'neath the ground.

Smithsonian Museum shows a famous Peridot which glows...
a forty-six plus karat stone from Pakistan, and is well-known.
