Warts and All

St Francis Bay

Holiday Destination / Resort

Paradise astride the Indian Ocean

Eastern Cape

South Africa

But out of Season

A proverbial virtual Ghost Town

1 out of 10 Homes have there curtains drawn

Shut up until next season

Which begs the Question ??

Why if you owned 1 of these Places ?

Why would you ever choose to leave here ?

If you could afford to buy here in the 1st Place ?

Its the kind of place dreams are made of ?

Makes me wonder how great your life must be ?

If this is merely your Parking Space for Summer

This is merely my admission confession of Jealousy

I wonder if they know just how lucky they are ?

I wonder if so 2

My dream time rolling in the money will come true ?

Dreaming is Ok

But I would be lying if I did not admit

Id much rather prefer the real deal

Warts and All

Id rather be Rich than Poor

Good Looking over Funny

Clever than Thick

Tall rather than Short

Six Pack over Layers of Fat & Double Chin

And Oh Yes

To top off my wish list

A Massive

10 Inch Dicktionary

To Gloat About

St Francis of Assisi

You founded the Franciscan Order.
I was with you.
You gave up wealth.
You stood naked before the world.
You called God your Father.

You could have been rich.
Instead, you chose poverty.
You begged for food.
You rebuilt broken churches.
You followed the voice of Heaven.

O Pope Leo XIV,
what have you learned from him?
He was once a soldier.
He fell ill.
He changed forever.

He sold all he had.
He walked with the poor.
He taught us that wisdom
is born in poverty.

We still hear your voice, Francis:
"Make me an instrument of your peace..."
Your prayer travels across the world.
It reaches Gaza.
It cries in Ukraine.
It whispers in Congo, Libya, and Sudan.

You asked for love where there is hate.
For hope where there is despair.
For light where there is darkness.
For joy where there is sorrow.

You lived humility.
You loved creation.
You forgave your enemies.
You carried peace like a cross.

Even now,
your spirit moves through time.
It sits upon our hearts.
It shows us the way.
Teach us again, O Saint,
how to be human.

The 3rd Period of the Independent Era of Philippine History:

The 5th Republic

The lengthy Marcos Regime ended with EDSA People Power Revolution

A bloodless uprising that changed the course of our nation

It is said to have restored our democracy

That was said to had been suppressed in our country

Our 5th Republic began with Corazon Aquino Administration

Our 1st Woman President known for her Freedom Constitution

She was followed by Fidel Ramos Administration

Our 1st Protestant President known for his Presidential Anti-Crime Commission

Next was the Joseph Estrada Administration

Our Centennial President ousted by another EDSA Revolution

He was succeeded by Gloria Arroyo Administration

Our 2nd Woman President who faced several attempts of destabilization

After her was the Noynoy Aquino Administration

Our Yolanda President who welcomed Pope Francis' visitation

The 5th Republic might end with Rodrigo Duterte Administration

Our 1st Mindanaoan President who wants great national transformation

This is the 3rd Period of Independent Era – The 5th Republic

Our country's transformation was both realistic & fantastic

Corruption remains a reality, Zero Poverty remains a fantasy

God keeps the Philippines in a state of irony.

Broken lines of poetry
Are all that's left to see
A page of forgotten memories
To cheer the heart in me

Memories so cherished kept
That too soon turn to gray
And in the end the storms of life
Twist the cruelest fate your way

With each soul that passed on by
As people come and go
Leaving, dying, mostly crying
In the end, it is always so

And when the darkness from the night
Claims the empty soul
Sadness from all senseless strife
Leaves a bitter toll

There is a time of harmony
When you hold a special place
When Heaven shines a sacred light
That filled your days with grace

But Heaven no longer comforts me
My heart is ravaged, cold and dead
All the love it held so dear
Washed clean by tears I’ve shed

There is no fire in my heart
Love is not a flame
The broken pieces of that harp
Can never play again

So as the bluest part of day
Becomes the black of night
And clouds of silver, pink, and gray
Have disappeared forever from your sight

You finally turn on inward
Into a white silk, black cocoon
To dream a final dream of love
And wait for midnight’s doom

I hold that last of moonlight
In a chalice by a sea
And say a proper prayer for peace
To seek eternity

A Father’s Day Tribute: To A Father Like My Own

Few words I pen, for today is your day,
A celebration of you, in every way.
Thrilled and happy, my heart does sing,
For your life has been a blessing in everything.

A father you are, steadfast and true,
A husband so loving, through and through.
A godly man, with wisdom to share,
A parent so devoted, beyond compare.

I remember your teachings, I follow them still,
Your words, like treasures, my heart they fill.
I love mothers, they have their own grace,
But today, dear father, you take the place.

Often mothers get the credit, it’s true,
But today I honor and celebrate you.
The care in your eyes, though not your child,
Touched my soul and made me smile.

Forever honored, forever blessed,
For the love you’ve shown, above all the rest.
Happy Father’s Day, with all my heart,
From your loving child, never apart.

stone for stone the building
had begat during
the nature of sudden
earthquakes a calling of holiness

beyond the greatness
of st Francis of assist
while my eyes focused on
the smaller pebbles being tossed

about the raw gravel throughout
such graveness why
I never questioned him I could only
witness the coming before me

his hands held my face upward
as the brightness covered
his image for small moments glimpse's
of his eyes bathed me

within a sorrowful notion
that this life was only the beginning
he expressed disaster and omens
were necessary benefactors

to calm his own wrath
beneath my whithered soul

My Holy Family

There is a part of me,
an obscure mossy part
that is an underlay,
a lichen-like carpeting
of scud and muddy surf
that some might call soul.

Within that membranous sub-coat
neither devils nor angles live
yet there are creatures
and they merge and mingle
swapping their miniscule bodies
with each other
just to scurry hither and thither
as different aspects
of a microcosmic awareness.

I think sweet St Francis would have
seen through me.
I believe he would have blessed
my animalistic sub-existence
while teaching each germy,
parasitical, symbiotic
cellular organism of mine
how to knit together
the shape of God
in this filmy mire,
this gathering swarm
of innate holiness.

Huling Araw ni Papa Francisco sa Pilipinas

Enero Diez y Nueve, Dos mil Kinse

Why do I hunger for justice,
for love, I can’t keep this emptiness
inside, this void annoys
pulling me under
I cry in pain, I gain nothing
and I wonder,
Why do I find comfort in turning away
from the beliefs instilled upon me
It’s so much easier to ignore
the teachings before me
To live as if it doesn’t matter
who I hurt, treat like dirt
Whose path I’ve changed
with my narrow mindedness
For I've outgrown the things
that once defined me
                  ~o~
I used to take safe harbor
within the cove of fleeting happiness
but the cove grows dank and confining
Words prove banal and empty
Set sail in the broad open air
Beckoning world of hope,
seeking God, the Almighty,
in natures glorious bounty
a catalyst for change
and regain passion
                  ~o~
Something far more sacred
things inexplicable
that I can’t rid
I’ll fondly take responsibility
for myself, for others
show care like that I’ve
been given and share
Eager I use old despair as a driven
Tears I shed no longer,
with empathy I grow stronger
                   ~o~
St Francis of Assisi
found God’s presence in nature,
Brother Sun, Sister Moon
I too have found this same rapture
This a realization, 'tis with me
from my deepest self I reveal
an emotional rapture beknownst it be
Enamored in love is how I truly feel
of the combined sacred oneness
Emotions unfurled
Respect, charity, and love
for God and his creations
and appreciations
'Tis common in the world religions
'Tis the common essence
Shared are His values when in His presence
Realization from my deepest self I reveal
Enamored in love is how I truly feel
a strong sense of collectiveness
felt with all things
