All the riches and the uncontrolled lust
the alluring world can offer humans instantly,
will never affect the truest believer
who dares not embody the devil waging war;
not to wear fine clothes and lustrous gold,
not to be admired or be vehemently worshipped,
not to stand where an impostor will cruble into dust;
Lucifer won't convince him or her to stray!
Hope vanishes without faith,
their dark road is even blacker than smoke
as they shout out what's unclean,immoral and unsacred;
even the fire can't melt the thick ice,
and the hammer isn't able to break
the shackles as they deliriously dance;
amid millions of innocent souls they profligate...
to pierce their flesh to make a lasting effect!
People who declare themselves gods,
are anxious to be seen in the spot-lights...
displaying what they possess, telling what they crave!
They prefer to be shackled by bondage,
live to extremes, and pay the dearest wage...
living to satisfy desire for a dangerous purpose,
to harm their bodies and bring calamity on themselves;
it's unimaginable the afflictions they brave!
Hope vanishes without faith,
you must protect it with your endurance;
your Creator has given you a choice:
live by his unchangable commandments,
or die without knowing His will;
ignorance stems from a lack of knowledge...
be the one who favors obedience,
to serve a God who asks nothing more than grace!
I'm way ahead of the darkness that cast shadows
& there's no looking back when moving with his light
I'm light years away so even if you're walking by
I'm still way too out of sight
Crystal clear blue sight sees the waves way before
they reach gritty shores
I pulled anchors & set sail to see what this voyage
had in store
The answer for many of life's questions can be found
in deep waters you won't visit because it's cold
Too deep for the thin skinned but you must dive as
fortune favors the soul that's bold
I'm sold on this fact based on experience not vicarious
stories told to win
The wages of going to war with yourself can't be counted
but you're paid handsomely for the win
Immerse yourself in the battle & lock in for this is the
key to your elevation
I surmise that there's many counting themselves out
but this is a guess not summation
A hypothesis if you will as I don't know you, but the
joke is on you if you don't dive
Many hide behind masks of jest but the joke is on you
& your disguise
Inquisitive sorts enigmatic notions as positions--scaled left for the right-hander--behold various perceptions, thus preserving perfection as a cure for misdirection's subtle draw.
Earnest forgivingly weakens its posture as truth betrays, incredulously, amidst reality outfitted in non-traditions; Judas kisses a face, while the strummed favors oils embrace a straining revelation that pleasures the muted.
Distractions of another sort muse the ne'er-do-wells, while diligence inks the lost, ambulates ambitious quill of risqué 'Olympia' whose indecency is shaded decently.
Tryst loses in translation, forms anew in an altered view; observant exposed a chapter; a spilled review cores a novel of two; meeting of the minds formed upon a ruinous and trifle distraction, whereto whenever praise ventures, "A dull knife makes a cutting edge."
From the time my awareness of day-to-day things began,
I have been apprehending your part in my life, dear glass;
In the form of a bottle or tumbler or window pan,
As a spectacle or mirror, our life you encompass...!
In temples or churches or miraculous monuments,
As windows or glass doors or transparent walls or façades,
Humbly or glamorously, you are on all continents,
You enhance human existence in all colorful shades...!
We ignore your favors, like in the case of a mother,
As artists behind the curtains, you serve us silently;
Like the elements - earth, air, water, fire, and ether,
Though we take you for granted, you perform your tasks gently...!
Crystal clearly is your existence and benevolence,
You are humble amidst your universal prevalence...!!!
When the door's open, like a lady in waiting I tip my hat as she beamingly frets.
As I glimpse into the way she brings, the breath of Spring fills my very being.
I go to explore what she has in store, brazenly shone blooms, 'tis I to pluck 'um?
Away I stepped, said, "None of that, it's me-neighbor's, tho' does owe favors."
So I waltz away with my boutonnière, glide gleaming, and kept on dreaming,
Of time to be, in eternity, with a son I adore, went to war and saw no more.
I realized that darkness befell my eyes, a Sun over here had now disappeared,
People are saying it's a solar eclipse and that the Sun no longer can glimpse ...
Like my son, Sun too is gone, but Sun will be back, thank God for that.
Sun owes me a day of days, do hope that Sun doesn't keep her father waiting.
There's more to life than the material trappings
that keep us stuck & looking
for more
I implore you to free yourself & search for YOUR
meaning for at the core of you
lies this lifes purpose
Don't get caught up in the net worth of the surface
of things
& get hooked by the bait being dangled before
your eyes
Realize the angles are designed with you in mind
as to trap you in another lifetime of
darkness disguised as light
You won't always choose right but at some point
the lesson must be learned in order
to earn your wings
Take flight away from the things that keep you
grounded to lower planes of existence
& seek more fertile plains with
less resistance
You'll gain a higher perspective once you soar
above that which offers no love
but instead favors hate
Shoot for the stars but prepare to land in the
clouds if you miss
& embrace fates kiss along with the universe
& its lofty goals
You never know where this life will take you
but go as your steps are guided up
the ladder to a place where
matter is of no consequence
What matters most is the consistency of
your steps & your willingness
to keep going even when the
circumstances of life
become intense
I met someone, she has my heart
I gave it to her from the start
She didn't know but I sure knew
The her, the someone, the she, is you
The first time I laid eyes I saw
That you had on me quite the draw
And ever since that special day
I've wanted us to go away
To be together, you and I
And let the world and time go by
To spend the days both hand in hand
To write you love notes in the sand
And what would in those love notes be?
Things for just your eyes to see
Things discussed late in the night
Things I'd do with all my might
Things where we'd both feel so good
Unspoken signals understood
Gifts and favors done with love
Whatever things we may think of
Limits? None, all things fair game
No two times would be the same
Imagination? Lots in store
Demonstration? Close the door
THIS GOES OUT
TO THOSE WHO'S
BEEN SEPARATED
FROM THE MAINSTREAM
PEOPLE WHO'VE BEEN SET-UP
PUSHED ASIDE, SEPARATED
AND EVEN UNDONE
WHEN YOU'VE BEEN
UPSET AND ANGERED
AND FOUNDED PEACE
WITH YOURSELF
ENOUGH TO KEEP COOL
WHEN WHAT IS EXPLAINED
IS MORE SCARY THAN
YOUR REALITY
THESE WORDS MAYBE
A PERFECT FIT
FOR WHAT YOU'RE GOING THRU
INTRO'S
AINT NOBODY
GONNA LOVE ME LIKE ME
DOING FAVORS FOR SOMEONE
WHO LIES AND DECEIVES ME
MAKING HER SELF PART OF EVERYTHING
YOU SOMEONE SHE LIKES TO FOOL
MAKE YOU BELIVE WHAT SHE SAY'S
THOSE RIGHT ON'S
AND I KNOW THAT'S RIGHT'S
COMPROMISING TO GET THAT OUT
GETTING IT IN
AND DOING WRONG
MAKING FOOLS
AND SINGING SONS
WHAT WE DOING
DOES IT GET US TOGETHER
WHAT YOU WANT FROM ME
SEEN I'VE BEEN UNDERMINED
AND FOLKS DONE HAD
THEIR WAY WITH ME
HEAR SUMTHING
SOMEBODY SAID
AH SHE JUST WANNA SEE
THAT WHY
YEAH WOMAN HE
GULLIBLE
YOU CAN TELL HIM THINGS
AND HE'LL SAY RIGHT ON
IT'S THAT CHURCH IN HIM
MAKING HIM COMPROMISE
SHE SAID SHE WAS SATAN'S WIFE
THE DEVIL IN DISGUISE
HE'LL LET YOU GAME
AND TAKE CARE OF YOU
HE'S A FOOL
HE'LL LET YOU WHAT YOU WANNA DO
I HEARD THESE WHISPERS
THOSE PHONE CALLS
WHEN WE GET IT RIGHT
I'M OUTTA HERE
CURSE HIM
I WANNA BE WITH YOU
YA'LL KNOW THAT GAME
AINT KNOW WINNER HERE
IT'S ONE OF THOSE ANCIENT THINGS
WHATS A MAN TO DO
THEY WANNA SAY
AINT KNOW ONE FOR YOU
She survives through the winter, but she seeks no favors
Peeking through the green
Rain is her friend, she comes in the spring
Inviting the sunshine, to smile on her face
Nothing can rival, her bright golden grace
Gladness she brings, to each vibrant place
Forsythia's splendor
Of her bright yellow swirls
Reaches the sunshine when the thaw breaks
Subdued and dormant, she suddenly wakes
Yawning and stretching...she raises her head
To suddenly blossom, and stirs in her bed
Her sovereign beauty delights everyone
In faithful gold flowers...under the sun
A treasure of gold at the first sign of spring
For Carol Brown's contest...."Flowers of Spring"
Any kind of love worth having,
Understands that disagreements happen,
And does not diminish when the first disagreement surfaces,
No, it will stay around and show its true value,
Not pack a sad and leave the field open to hate and prejudice,
This love that will stand the test of time,
Hold true even in the face of war, or famine,
And will retain its shape, no matter how hard the battering.
Be it for a friend a lover, or a family member, or even a stranger,
Who is in need of this love.
To agree to disagree,
To see both sides of the coin,
And give them equal value,
To recognise that opinions are not good or bad but different,
And not an indication of a wish to do harm,
To understand that thoughts and words and deeds,
All travel at different speeds.
Agreeing to disagree gives us an extra layer of comfort,
That a lesser kind of love will not,
As our thoughts and words can be a close match,
And only our deeds will need to be sometimes kept in check.
All too often do we fail to see,
That this kind of Love does not take kindly to us setting agendas,
Making unreasonable demands,
Or withholding favors,
To get agreements that will always be broken.
This kind of love,
Brings me so much hope,
I am glad I recognized it before it was too late,
So bitterness will not dog my twilight years
As I find plenty to talk about,
With those who have chosen to agree to disagree with me.
