One heart moving into another merging to one in the same,
A vision of love planting its seed waiting for the rain,
God makes a way in the desert coming back from barren and parched land,
Giving the opportunity of love and grace He reaches out His hand,
The key to moving forward and opening the door,
Is in the willingness to open your heart so He can give you more,
Placing your faith in a love so great eradicating the fear,
Erasing the world's ideas of who you think you should be, and remembering the desires you held dear,
The world wants you to believe the price you will pay is far to dangerous for your soul,
But if you truly believe your heart is protected by God, you will find the freedom to let that go,
He will build you with every step you take out of your comfort zone,
And show you the love was worth far more than you expected or could ever know,
Line of inquiry
"I Am as I Am complete
Though ego opines otherwise
Invoking grace we feel God’s heartbeat
What else does there remain for us to realise"
If ego was a season
it would be like the summer sun,
ascending and descending,
but without protection,
if you become too consumed -
you only end up being burned.
My soul is like spring,
always resurfacing after the big freeze,
looking for shelter against self absorbed rays.
My spirit is a voiceless orchestra,
yearning to connect through scriptures,
eradicating the ghostly echoes of ego,
composing a melody of honeyed harmony.
In a world of nonstop waterfalls,
I seek serene streams,
in silence and stillness,
where the 'true self' resides.
Temptation is a crimson illusion,
attempting to seduce us inside a
sea of self - admiration,
where the feather minded submerge.
Life is bittersweet,
surrounded by fake guides and stone saints,
so I persevere to escape this prison,
listening to the call of sincerity,
hoping the path opens before me,
as I cannot breathe without a heartbeat
and where, once, there was only barren fields,
meadows of verdant, vibrant visions now prosper.
Ego is the nemesis of my existence,
so my soul becomes unsighted to its intoxication
and when it dies, spirit transcends,
connecting with the ultimate truth of divinity.
His friendship was the one I held dear.
He said he was the one I never had to fear.
The two years we were together before we were wed,
Were not so bad, truth be said.
Then one day out of the blue,
He was no longer the man I knew!
Our nights and days of wedded bliss,
Soon turned into hatred and a distained abyss.
His anger and cruel, nasty rage
Kept me wrapped in a fearful cage.
Each day and night kept me wrapped tight.
Fear of anything done or said, would soon end in a fight!
Too many stories and ruses,
To cover the many black eyes and numerous bruises.
I grew tired of telling so many lies,
To cover for all your abuses and give you your alibis.
I will no longer cover for you!
I am tired of being black and blue!
So many nights of terror and confusion.
Once what was love is now just an illusion.
So many many sins and uncare
Will never be forgotten! How unfair!
Now that love and friendship is lost.
It went from me at a great cost.
After numerous times of him landing in jail,
I have decided it is time for me to bail!
An act, I know, that just seems so unfair,
but right now I just don't care.
My sanity was at stake.
So for it how could I forsake?
Now a new love has entered my life.
Eradicating all that angst and strife.
Each day is precious and new,
There are still days that I am oh so blue.
Who knows where this new love will go?
Who's to say? I do not know.
For now, will take it one day at a time.
Who knew in a friend a lover I would find.
Dear America.
I beg of you.
From the depths of my heart, I plea.
With all of my being, I caution you
to halt. Please realize that you have
everything to live for.
You are the envy
of planet earth. In spite of your often
contradictions, as a nation, you have
been a model for goodness.
I pray not for your
continued blessings.
I pray that you will count
your present blessings.
I pray not for your greatness.
I pray that you will uphold the Greatness of ALMIGHTY
GOD. I fear less that others might cause your demise. My
greater fear is that you may inadvertently self-destruct.
If you are indeed bent toward a God-free future;
If you are determined to uproot your age-old foundations;
If you are persuaded to establish a Christ-free culture;
If your will is to be freed from the will of God; then, I
am sorry that there are few words and actions left for your
defense. Please, assist in eradicating my fears and wiping
away my tears.
But know this, my beloved and cherished country, if you persist
in this present way, I shall remain upon my watch and shall not
cease to pray for you.*
Much love to America,
A proud American.

When dusk strikes, the magic swirls,
In the grasp of dawn, a wispy heart twirls.
The shades waltz as a painter brush whirls,
In a vacuum night, dream faintly furls.
We whimsey we'd catch the rainbow past,
Ride the wind whispers in a peaceful blast.
Sail aboard ships of wonder over skies so vast,
Still, life's intricate yarn holds shadows cast.
With each glitter and moonbeam embrace,
Warm mutters soothe, eradicating the trace.
A crystalline elixir, hope unending grace,
In a chaotic world, I'll waltz amid the space.
So hear the moon croon, as the world feels right,
Through lilac and lavender, our hopes bear flight.
In the bittersweet dance of our love’s pure light,
We embrace the shades, and in time, we unite.
From periwinkle skies, where stars softly bite,
To obsidian hoops, in the gloom of the night.
The elixir of life offers sweet, gentle height,
And while sunrise glows, we dream in spite.
The crimson and green, in dawn’s golden light,
As hope drips from vials, crystalline and bright.
With each ebbing moment, pain feels contrite,
Yet dreams linger on, with a soft, tender bite.
So bless me, as the dawn’s light breaks,
With glimmers of hope that the dawn makes.
In every hue, from crimson to blue ice flakes,
A kaleidoscope of dreams, pure and slake.
From blue skies to lavender pillows,
I shall find my path home by shadows.
In this upholstery of wonderful bliss,
So bless me, bless me, with dawn kiss.
was skipping through my bathroom one day
about to land in my office, when an inner voice yelled hey!
Turn on the light first, which I had never done, but did it this time.
Saw a six foot black rat snake, stopped my bare feet just in time.
If I had landed on the snake, he would have no doubt taken a bite.
Rat snakes are not poisonous but being bitten is not a delight.
I have been bitten by a snake once before.
I shuddered at having this creature in my house; shut the bathroom door.
cost of snake-remover eradicating this creature is five hundred dollars.
An exterminator came out, then we heard his hollers.
Broken whispers caress your cheek
If you were already dread would you stay here
Or would you lay on the bones of the dead
Forgotten and forsaken in this dark place
Thoughts ooze unbroken from your eyes
Creating a flesh replica without a soul
You were lost the moment words were spoken
So desolate but so full of yearning
Broken walls are just remnants
Of what was once truly resplendent
Our society needed a heart transplant
But there was nobody who cared
Liar, liar, dancing on the walls
Your tears foretold the fall of us all
Yet here we stood and made a mockery
Enthralled by our own debauchery
Apathy’s Remedy
by Odin Roark
Some acknowledge it,
Few reject it,
Many succumb to it.
Such is the torpor
Surrounding too much of today’s pressing reality,
That adopted indifference and ennui by the masses,
Making tomorrow uninviting.
Yet…
Even as the sink hole of soul
Quivers and bellows its voracious seduction,
The echoing essence of being human
Seeks to be heard.
And…
Like Beethoven’s Ode To Joy
One’s many tomorrows to come
Can be imagined as layers of unbridled choruses
Merely waiting to be heeded and embraced.
For like the masters of creative imagination,
Eradicating such dulling of the mind
Calls upon tenacity of will,
That exquisite quality of reason
Innately inherent in all,
The quintessential detoxifier,
Whose purging exorcism
Leaves apathy struggling against its demise,
Knowing rational determination
Will make dispassion but a lexiconic reference
In the many conquests of mind.
