Premium Member Love In the Trenches

Now this is my definition of love
It's much like wrestling in the mud
You get down and dirty
And say things quite flirty
Then it all comes together with a thud

You scream out bloody murder together
Promise your undying love forever
Roll over and whisper
The name of her sister
Then you realize that wasn't too clever

She pummels your head without any mercy
You attempt to defend against her fury
You start to see rainbows
And a bunch of pretty halos
A ferocious little dynamo this girlie

Well eventually you recover your senses
And are able to put up some defences
You plant a big smacker
On this sweet li'l attacker
Then it's back to love in the trenches

Premium Member A Tale of Oz

Tornado blew Dorothy Gale
Across Kansas, her house took sail
Landed with a bug THUMP
On evil witch's rump
I'll try to fill in some detail

Wicked witch got down and dirty
Saying, "I'll get you, my purty,
And your little dog, too.
You killed my sister shrew
Just outside Emerald City!"

Little Munchkins shouted, "HOORAY!"
Then, "Dorothy, go down that way
The road of yellow brick
Hurry, you must be quick
The cruel witch will make you pay!"

So, off she and pup, Toto went
Wondering where she had been sent
This place she couldn't stay
Kansas was far away
On getting home, she was hell bent

Along the way, she met these three
Scarecrow, lion, and tin man, he
was rusted, couldn't speak
Had need to take a leak
She oiled his 'parts' so he could pee

To the Wizard they had to go
Through a poppy field in the snow
For courage and a heart
Brain to make Scarecrow smart
To get Dorothy home, he'd know

But the wicked one said, "No fair!"
And sent her monkeys in the air
To kill the lot of them
It was utter mayhem!
Oh, We Oh. It caused quite a scare!

Toto proved the Wizard a fake
What a commotion that did make
What would Dorothy do?
Glenda to the rescue!
For the child, she did not forsake

She bid farewell to her new friends
The journey gave them dividends
She loved each one of them
But sadly, missed Aunt Em
Almost where this fairytale ends

Glenda waved her wand to entreat
Ruby slippers upon her feet
A click of the red heels
And Dorothy's appeals
She was back in Kansas, Toot Sweet!

Casino Thoughts

casino thoughts

Sitting in a casino of the damned
Somewhere on the Las Vegas Strip
Playing the slots
Watching the crowd go wild
Watching the machines watching me

Drinking the free drinks of the damned
20 drinks too sober

And the gamblers on the gaming tables
Gambling away their fortune
Throwing money away
In hopes of the payoff
That somehow never comes

The pure decadent spectacle
The fake this and fake that
Phony this phony that

False New York
Paris in Vegas
Venetian canals, Roman forum
MGM Grand Lions

All fake, all phony
All deliciously decadent

The noise
The scantily clad waitresses
The men ogling the women

The women ogling back at them
The scent of wild decadence
Bad craziness in the air
The music – the lounge music from hell
The constant sound
Of money exchanging hands

It all overwhelms me
And I must sit down
And drink my reality drink
Drink it down and dirty

As I continue
To feed the hungry, greedy machines

Made in a workshop in hell
No doubt with child or slave labor
Imported from the third world

All my money
Is sucked into it
These machines from hell

The beast from revelation appears
Stands revealed in his hideous glorious beauty
Conducting this mad scene

And I am consumed by the greed
And the frenzy takes over me
All I want
All I need
All I desire

Is one more chance
One more shot

I scream
At the utterly unfeeling monsters
That ate my money
And chewed up my soul

And I know
The worst drug of all
Is the gambling fever
The gold bugs

I would sell my soul
If I had one left
For a chance
At the jackpot of life

Instead, I am reduced
To a pathetic broken down loser
Watching the world and Elvis
Pass him by

Viva Las Vegas
Imperial God of the American Dream
 Goddess of the American Nightmare

Premium Member Lying Down and Dirty

When your word isn't worth, the only air it traveled through,
You may quickly realize that fear and fraud don't accrue.

Then as any and all hope is halted, and faith does not exist,
The sight of all those broken promises, is there to persist.

At that point you're left upon an island, naked and alone.
With no one left to listen, no one to cast the first stone.

So now you're on your own, with your lies and disbelief,
As those you knew, now avoid you, and you're seen as a thief.

Can redemption even exist now, for all the lies that you've told?
Or has time passed right on by, while you've grown lonely and old?

These may be the final questions, to answer or even hate.
Finally seeing if you realize, you can no longer fabricate.

Premium Member A Season Ages Ago

A season – Ages ago

Ages ago, many a seed had been planted.
Their blossoming brings, being taken for granted,
never seen, acknowledged or appreciated.
As gardeners, sowers of, we are fated
to pay an intolerable, unbearable price
for all, all we experience that is not nice
for a parent to see, to feel, believe to be,
that has come to be a part of you and me.
------------------------------------
I – like the south pole of, a magnet pushes - away ?
I – like a distant planet without gravity – ejects ?
Is it that I repel ?, instead of attract.
Is reality ?, for me, anything beyond abstract
and truly above contact ?, - such a pity
to get down and dirty, get to the nitty-gritty.
------------------------------------
A beam of energy, a wave of light, a speck of dust
in the vacuum cleaner bag of space, brought to light
within the vast womb of our universe, have I been.
My life’s impression being, being that speck of dust,
which, speck, upon speck, upon speck, upon speck
of dust gathers, accumulating upon my soul.
Dust to dust, atom to atom, gas to gas, a planet to create
until all is to heavy, I no longer am able to carry the weight.
The weight become so unbearable, these shoulders
begin to droop, drop off – back to dust, to atom, to energy,
to that vacuum cleaner bag, to the universes womb, there ,
once again to start it all over, back on the merry-go-round.

Maybe ?, a lighter load ?, a brighter road ?,
a much better story that could be told ?
What will carry us to the next time ?
What path will we walk next time ?
What journeys will be ours next time ?
Maybe ?, when it becomes next time,
and we gather, are carried into ?,
I might impart something of value,
a new start to help carry them through,
after they have been dropped off
- blown away by the winds of times passing –
to create their own planets, live their own lives,
their own experiences without influencing
the gardener with a world of negative forces,
what has seemed a lifetime of negative energy.

Vase Dream I

Pink vase with no design
Dangling there so blue- c'est la vie
I think somewhere in Center City
Apart from everything hectic
In an apartment rising high skyward
The item lingering on the edge of ledge
Standing tall atop a railing raw
Languishing over the 20th Floor
Or thereabouts and more

The balcony didn't expect such curvatures
Or fragility on a morning broken
The sunlight nodded approval of course
Around bouncing beams above the surface

But nothing could stop a soft breeze from…
Poof!.....And off it went… c'est la vie vase

An alert Frenchman, pastry smile and all
Happened along with nimble fingers
Stretched out, caressing a baguette bread
And Beaujolais 42 in fragile glass
The other hand grabs out with stress
As if to field an errant football pass

And in that chance encounter…Catch!...
Tumbling to concrete boundaries down
Bottle released in a wincing crash
Ground favored his mortal urgency
Pottery saved - c'est la vie, Intact

French man’s head cracked
Let’s say opened, something like an egg
More scrambled than not on concrete
A natural death ensued with the seizure

A passerby, identified as a stranger
Seized the moment in a grab
Lifted vase from the newly deceased and fled
Made off down and dirty

An awaiting ally came conveniently placed
To avoid detection from the law and all
Another fate for vase awaits out there
Less encumbered in a far away land
For dreams of other ledges and escapes
If so inclined as far as we can understand

Premium Member I Gather No Moss

Mick Jagger was the fire to be lit
The stage was bare and lay waiting
The world was full of
"What to do", "What to try", "What to be"
And "He" was ready for the story line........
Possessed by the rhythm of his generation
In words emanating from his musing
He told the classic rebel story
Of going against the grain
To form one's own circuitry
Belonging exclusively to
The worship and reverence of rebellion
Buzzing with charged power
His notes ushered in a new beginning
A new sound that was recreated from
The annals of historical gutsy
Down and Dirty blues
Spiked with sex and sprinkled with deviltry
That will live in classic timelessness
The rogue stood tall and whirled
His mischievous spell
Wielding wildness between the irony of good and evil
Contempt and virtue
From the age old conflict of the timeless crusade
A hero - no, an evangelist of life - yes
An inexhaustible circuit rider of our time
A Rolling Stone..........he gathered no moss!

I LOVE AND I HATE YOU THE SAME

How dare you love me, have you no shame? I'm not just touched I'm insane. I'm wickedly evil, a cheatin' lil' weasel, Jackass is my first and last name. I'm Joe Dirt when I flirt, Cousins Eddie of work, I aspire to the least that I can. I sure as heck ain't no Marlboro man. I smoke like a chimney, and drink like a fish, I'm a gamblin' man and also a snitch. I'm short, fat, and bald, I don't come when I'm called, I'm likely passed out in a ditch.
I love you and I hate you the same.
I just can't put out this flame.

I'm a low down, peckerwood, loathsome, misunderstood, weak willed, red pilled, rootin tootin, drinkin, shooting, down and dirty, 30-30, back alley clan rally, hillbilly, redneck, hick.

You're hateful and mean, birthing many mens' genes, and now youre hittin the wall. Gangly & toothless, spiteful & ruthless, you smell like meth and Pall Malls. Stripping's behind you, bills are all past due. You ain't nothin but a booty call. Ferally raised, dropped out in third grade, immune to morals, judgment, and mace. One leg is bowed, you sound like a toad, and you use saddle soap on your face.
I love you and I hate you the same.
I just can't put out this flame.

She's a botox, detox, skin n bones, silicone, Harper valley, mustang Sally, misfit, hypocrite, "Cops" show viral hissy fit, easy, sleazy, dollar store cheesy, hillbilly, redneck, chick.

We scream and we cuss, we never discuss,
we'd rather it come to blows. We don't clear the air, and we never fight fair. She stabbed me and then broke my nose. A sight to be seen, trailer park king & queen. We hail what brings others disgust. We're not worthy of love from heaven above. All we have left is the lust. I've been feelin sick, since your flame lit my wick. Penicillin just might do the trick.
I love you and I hate you the same,
I just can't put out this flame.
