I rule over the night
undaunted with all my might
I have time to spare all I can bare
Watching the hand chime
tugging…pushing…shoving
through whirling toil
that feed the spoil
Perplexing strife
refusing to give up
Power and torment
We are too caught up in our own power
and ruling over each passing moment
each passing night…destroying the twin towers
Who’s doing all the blaming?
Who’s choosing our faults?
I’m tossed…shifting around with uncontrolled anguish
Zipping…tripping over rambling bolts
spiraling into a mad house
Don’t enchant your intolerable voice
I see no love dwelling in this household
Do you seek for your power…
you insufferable traitor?
Seeking our upcoming doom
brewing strife in the heap of ruins
brewing strife while we still leave room
to obey and remain under power
You are assuming the worst
father…mother…
rule over the passing anguish…circling around
stumbling around…not aware
Hey you! play fair
Behave and stay awhile
before you feed the fire that holds sheer vile
Allow love to not be thrown away
into another pile
I grasp no love engrained
In our giving garden
that plants ceaseless approval
Pardon my faults
I was far from comforting sleep
Dread is driven mysteriously
Through an endless night
Moving on the tracks
Forming into an alarming train
Who’s doing all the blaming?
Who’s choosing our faults?
Who did the labor suitably?
worthwhile father…pleasure-seeking mother
Don’t enchant your intolerable voices
and expect us to listen sensibly
Demanding us to do labor
and assist our displeased neighbor
Why do you melt the delight away?
Throwing away a flavor of ecstasy
and put us to glove-less labor
without putting our favor and opinion
into the overlooked pile
Burning agony
dries the buried glee
Saved for a grieving moment
Playing like a warped tune… unable to express
solitude that develops in the heart
raped by the ragged uncertainties
without taking heed of our pleas
These desirable moments
Cherished in the deplorable journey
They weren’t acknowledged by power
Love in those days were brand new
Do you have a clue?
they were cherished...
Bountiful…
stranded in a deserted past
in merciful beauty…caught under the spell
Where did that come to pass?
Where’s the love?
Who’s doing all the blaming?
Who’s choosing our faults?
The teachers and staff at the special school, Graysmill,
Did what they could to give the severes a life afterwards,
And they presumed I would be accepted to work,
At the CALL Centre of Edinburgh University, for a long time to lurk.
It’s now CALL Scotland, and researches special tech,
Develops assistive software, devices, and communication aids;
It digitalise written exams energetically and with voice,
For disabled kids who need to have their own writing choice.
But I went to Daniel Stewarts nursery, was well accepted, superior,
As I came top of the class for both words and numbers,
And as it is a top private school near Edinburgh’s city centre,
I found the sympathy hard at Graysmill ‘cos I was not inferior.
In the 70s and 80s they thought the special pupils couldn’t interact,
In mainstream schools where the able-bodied were understood;
Most of my friends had a dislike of normal, ordinary kids,
And didn’t understand my perceptions of relationality and brotherhood.
So as it was sometimes an effort for me to be part of the school,
And I just wanted to walk away from all things disabled or impaired,
The moment I started university where opportunity beckoned,
Where my intentions and abilities could be so aired.
I wanted to maybe be a software engineer for organisations,
But knew I couldn’t type all day every day with my foot,
So after uni got a part-time job at the CALL Centre, but felt self-defeated,
‘Cos I'd had blows with my parents about my own mechanism of input.
I did home computing growing up using my hands on the keyboard,
But did my school and homework with my foot, not good,
And since they wanted me to go to university, no big deal,
They forced me to keep using the faster mechanism, the switch for my foot.
So I resented the CALL Centre right throughout my young years,
For not believing or ingratiating me when I told them of my hand dexterity,
And as a graduate able to deliberate upon my case of disrespect,
I can say that my parents should have certainly been certified for neglect.
I did not renew my contract with the Call, was only for four months,
As I didn’t want to put myself through that close contact and innocence assumption,
But think that they do an note-worthy job for severely disabled kids,
And that my case was an exception to their loving, kind gumption.
Before rising from bed this morning, there were teary eyes with
this sense of loss. It was not a loss by death but by separation.
I was struck with thoughts of friends I've met in my lifetime,
whom to most I have had to sadly say goodbye with little
hope of seeing them again.
I know that I am not alone, but there is a word that has followed
me for a lifetime, and there are times I wish it would cease.
I remember friends from early childhood that I grew up with.
All of us were separated after high school and have remained so.
None of my childhood friends nor high school class mates has become
life-long friends. I do not know if such is abnormal, but the older I become,
the more it seems to 'get next to me'. This 'cycle of the circle being broken'
is the story of my life. But I'm good, and I get by with lots of help from
my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Life forces us to 'come to terms with 'matter of fact' realities.
All along the way, a whole new 'world of friendships' develops.
If our lives have been ones of mobility, that world becomes vast.
New languages and dialects, new challenges, characters, cultures,
and ethnicities, new time zones, climates, and weather systems.
If we are willing to grow, the tears of goodbyes will dry, and a new
world of fresh friendships will unfold like colorful flower gardens.
'Goodbye', that dreaded 7-letter word will forever be a
precious memory, but it will slowly fade like a passing
season, making time and space for a new one.

Through layers of snow,
White blankets, the world
Peaceful and quiet, still as grief – abiding
I stay hidden, secreted in the darkness,
Buried beneath the dust, the mud, the earth
Where life awaits the springlike touch
From sunshine’s blessing, rich and glorious
Awakening the music of a heart’s mystery
Soothing, like stardust – so gentle,
Light covers my grave, so somber
Earnest and peaceful, I lay quietly, waiting
For the miracle of a moment when sunlight
Breathes its wisdom through my veins,
Inviting me to rise through the soil, the richest
Clay, trembling with compassion, caressing
Away the frost, cold, so unsympathetic – bitter
Like resentment who fills the heart with
Doubts, distant thunders, storms in skies so blue
They feel like beautiful guiding me through
The reckless rest where I’ve been dormant, forgotten
By the twinkling stars, the sunrise and sunset
Never aware that I was even there – alive,
Hidden by the winter freeze, with ease
But, now – as spring silences the silver flakes,
There, hesitating within the earth, my tender leaves
Begin to peek, peering up toward the sunshine
Graceful and lulling, like the glimmering glories
Discovered in the new buds, stirring, emerging – soundless
On a quest for the light, the rain sprinkling through
The night, erasing winter’s touch with a growing
Promise – the assurance of a thriving blossom, a bloom
Who develops just as the heart begins to beat
With eagerness for the beginnings of spring,
Growing – springing from the darkness, resurrected
Great joy comes from the knowing, the hope
That revives the spirit, the feelings
In those who see that I have made it, once again,
Through the silent nights and the snow blanketing
On a land, sleeping through the winter’s smile,
Waiting quietly for the proper time to rise
From the earth, - new birth of a bud, a gentle
Wish peeking out from the past, prompting the spirit
To listen to the whisper of God’s tender gift to us,
Those who know that, despite our deepest wishes –
In time, in season – there is birthed a splendor
In spring, that splendor – that pretty comes from me
The bulb who waits, patient, beneath the ground
Where there is the promise that, in time, there will come
A beautiful flower who will brighten hearts like the sound…
Laughing in the breeze – a flower, free to breath!
It took some heavy digging and a lot of clever research.
But scientists have now explained in full detail how evolution works.
Finally it all comes together after much debate and so much time.
(To appeal to the little 'uns they even told it in rhyme).
"And from the mud-baths of primordial soup we came to be.
Rising from the currents of a ginormous boiling sea.
Once things cooled down a bit, leaving cells with room to breath,
things developed quite gradually,
as each individual body part became part of the team."
The Mouth said to the Ear:
You there! Get your Butt over here!
What the Mouth didn't yet know, however,
was that that the Butt was still processing
in some foul smelling black ether.
(Just ask Nose and he'll tell you clear as day,
that smell was nothing short of risque.)
Mouth's voice was very muffled you see,
lacking the Ear's wondrous ability
to take in sound.
You could see it for yourself if you wanted too
(still Eyeball was no where to be found).
Somewhere along the road the Head came rolling down.
He had great determination in his jaunt,
though those big gaping eye-holes were sure to haunt.
And after a two million year nap,
at long last, the Elbow and Knee Cap
came oozing their way from the horrid soup.
Once attached to Mouth and Vocal Chord, they beamed,
"Pee-YOU that reeks, if Stomach were here I'd surely turn green.
One sure develops an appetite after a billion year fast.
If someone doesn't throw me some grub I don't think I'll last!"
After such great struggle there was still so much to be done
Feet and Legs were still in a hot sweaty run
trying for a thousand years at least to find Crotch and Torso
(To make matters worse they needed Esophagus to get re-hydrated also!).
But after all that I think you will find the struggle worth it.
What great things can happen when we're all so close knit.
We're not perfect yet, as you can see, evolution is a work in progress.
Things could always improve, it just takes time to process.
One fellow man of science inquired a rough estimation
of just how long it would take to grow wings
(some bickering was involved, due to his ridiculous proposition).
The real concern is however being totally ignored,
of which I think you will be completely appalled.
It will probably take another 17 billion years,
at least, to get the Brain installed.

Life of A True Muslim
I am a Muslim
And God I praise
For all of his blessings
In one God I believe
He is alone God of All His Beautiful Creatures.
He sit in Arsh e Mauala in His Holy Chair
Above one earth and 7 skies.
And watch His all creature from there
Lord of the universe
Compassionate to me
Muhammad the Prophet
Taught me the way
To be honest and truthful
Throughout everyday
The Holy Qur'an
The true guide of Muslims Life .
Its teachings I follow
without disobeying.
Islam is my religion
Preaches good deeds
And forbidden bad deeds
Mercy and Kindness are its key features
To the right path it leads
Upon all humanity
God showers his Grace
Regardless of colour
Nationality or race
Through working together
Our hopes increase
To live in a world
Full of love and peace
Full of love and peace
I am a Muslim
And God I praise
For all of His blessings
The importance of Islamic regulation
It develops a healthy nation
Whoever fears Allah
Will never harm His creation
One who has Imaan in his heart
Will never lie in his conversation
The person who is good to others
Is the one who gets appreciation
Each and every minute is precious
As we are in an examination
Whoever follows Islamic rules
Heaven will be his destination
O don't waste your precious time
As it is of a very small duration.
If we watch the life of a true Muslim.
His heart is free from greed;
He keeps away from sins,
And shuns all dishonest deeds.
His philosophy is simple,
It is called Islam:
Submission to Allah’s will,
The religion of Abraham.
He declares and bears witness:
There is no God but Allah,
And His messenger is Muhammad ,
The noble son of Abdullah.
Prayers strengthen his morals,
And fasting creates taqwa:
Which is fear of the Almighty;
Yes, it is the right formula!
The commitment to Islam,
He displays in the pilgrimage;
He happily pays the poor due;
With Allah is his wage.
He treats this worldly life,
As only a trifling matter;
His abode is in Paradise,
Forever, in the hereafter.
The heart of such a Muslim
Abounds with joy and happiness;
Whatever his Lord sends to him,
He accepts with thankfulness.
By Aliza Mukhtiar(Aliza Kashmala Kiran)
When you first get your dog there is a wonderful joy, like he is one
of your own children. You go through a get to know each other period
and a Special bond is developed, with you and him.
You soon grow to love one another. He is part of the family, he is there
to love you when you get home from work, and there to say goodnight
before you go to bed.
There is a bonding and interaction that develops affectionately between
everyone in the family and your beloved dog. He is the king of the house.
My brother Gus, his wife Elena, son Brandon, and daughter Briana can
attest to these words. My brother decided to answer a dog ad for a Pug.
When he got there he realized he had a sister and he decided to bring
her along too. Not wanting to separate a brother and sister.
The boy was named Jeter after the Yankees player and the girl Lucy
after Lucille Ball. This is their story.
Jeter and Lucy were Pugs that were inseparable.
You can say that they were very attached and compatible.
Everywhere Jeter went Lucy followed.
One day they got loose and got in a bit of trouble.
The family spent hours looking for them.
They were found down the street, both with a Cheshire grin.
Both were brought home and no treats for a week.
That didn't last long, they begged and got their treat.
If Lucy got a treat Jeter, would ask, what about me?
They were quite the team, full of drama and comedy.
These two spent many years enjoying each other's company.
Some lovable moments and some very funny.
The joy they brought to the family, will forever live on.
As their beloved Jeter today Sadly moved On.
Lucy was there till Jeter's final Breaths.
She knew because she cried at the time of his death.
She then moved and laid her head on him.
With much love, whispered, "Jeter some day, I will see you Again."
Gus and Elena filmed her farewell.
As their Heartfelt emotions, were saddened and deeply felt.
Tonight will be Lucys first night without Her brother.
We pray that in time Lucy recovers...
Jeter will live on in Our Hearts
and minds. He will never be
forgotten says: Lucy, Gus,
Elena, Brandon and Briana.

"While contemplating on the objects of the senses, one develops attachment to them. Attachment leads to desire, and from desire arises anger. Anger leads to clouding of judgment, which results in bewilderment of the memory. When the memory is bewildered, the intellect gets destroyed; and when the intellect is destroyed, one is ruined."
Bhagvad Gita chapter 2 Verse 62 ,63
************************************************************************************************
No one can write about the greatness of that which encompasses everything...
It answers all questions about life!
That book is Bhagvad Gita, an ancient Indian spiritual treatise.
Its a collection of hymns, each priceless words of wisdom,
Even if one of them is practiced, eternal bliss is guaranteed,
Do read that book I would say, it will change you in a subtle way.
The purpose of human birth,
How to achieve salvation,
How to live perfectly,
Why and how of control over sense organs.
Death and the mystery surrounding it,
Human psychology,
How to handle tragedies,
How to be always happy and blissful.
Why there is disparity in the world?
Why bad times are better than good times?
It talks of this and much more,
List is endless...
Few of its gems I state below
Death is a mere change of cloth, soul moves from one body to another,
Bad days are better than good ones, they dissolve sins and give salvation.
However bad things may be, we have to be good,
bad deeds are punished, no questions asked.
We get back what we give, so should give what we want,
This applies to everything, be it money, help, love or talks.
Thoughts are powerful, thoughts brooded over decides our destiny,
We should have control over sense organs, not dance to their tunes.
When mind is fixed in the present moment, actions are perfect.
Only actions are in our hands not results,
so we should act without thinking of results.
Our actions of past and present birth decides our destiny,
we are the cause no one else!
And the list is endless...
A book of that magnitude cannot be encompassed in a poem,
A read of it is must for every human!
It can change whole perspective of life,
And make you a wiser and happier person.
