Breathing – in
Salty tears, silence, dreams
Feelings blessed by the beautiful
Who rose up to whisper
Faith into my believing, my receiving
Salvation, the wonder of light
Falling soft across my darkest night
Breathing – in
Imaginations, insights, inspirations
Whimsical ideas and blessings,
Reassurance that this place where I’m staying
Will never be the greatness that amazes,
When I reach my final destination…
There, there will be a quiet peace, a never
Ending paradise, heaven – my home
Forever, always, eternally mine… by His side
Breathing – in
Joy forevermore, gladness
Restoring my hopes and my love
Pouring out music into my soul, my spirit
Alive, dancing through the fires of elation, the
Pleasures who remind me why I’m alive,
Shining with the light that He placed inside
Breathing – OUT
Love that is my smile
Love that is my dance, my heart
Love that is my moment to give back
A part of the heart that He gave to me
When He saved me from the darkness, the shame,
The guilt and betrayal of a world who taught me that…
Being with Jesus meant being born again – into a life
Where there is love that quiets the chaotic – brings stillness
That arrives on wings of grace, singing Him praises, always - always
who is that strange pilot? Why is he not in the cockpit?
Naomi tried to stifle her six-year-old son’s shrill voice
although psychic herself, she did not broadcast it in ‘72
he keeps fading away, Tommy said. what is happening?
an older woman in the next seat smiled at mother and son.
Naomi wondered if this was a premonition
eastern flight 401 had gone down in the Everglades two months ago
a hundred and one people had lost their lives
seventy-five survivors had back, neck, leg, spine injuries.
were they on a flight to nowhere? She patted her son’s hand.
the ghost sightings had begun
on flights of LockleedL-1011-1 Tristars with salvaged parts
parts retrieved from the Everglades, after the crash
Naomi and Tommy were on one of these flights
Naomi’s husband Bud and his friend Ray had been frog-gigging
they saw the crash as it happened
began shuffling people out
saved all of the people who had been saved
the spirit of a flight attendant came to Naomi
your husband is a hero, she said
we will make sure you reach your destination safely
Naomi felt reassured, her spirit guides were never wrong ..
eastern airlines warned their employees to stop spreading rumors
there are no ghosts from the 401, they were told
you will be fired if you spread these tales
but they did remove all 401’s salvaged parts from the other planes.
Headed to a destination far west of my home town, I was a thousand miles from home and a thousand miles yet to go to reach my destination when I took a wrong turn. 100 miles off the path before realizing it, this wrong turn became a very long wrong turn. I met two people while in my 'state of
lostness', each of whom seemed on a different mission. I might add that never have I seen two people with distinct missions so in tune to their purpose. I first came upon a Mr. Indifferent who busied himself hunting deers and fishing for salmons. While fishing, he entertained himself by
watching golf and football replays on his Iphone. I sought his assistance in putting me on the right tract, but he ignored me all together; not a word.
It seemed I was breaking his consentration, and his anoyance of and by
me was clearly visible. He could not have cared less. I quickly moved on, thinking the 'grass was surely greener' around the next bin and up the next hill.
I met Mr. Hate over the hill, but if he was grass, it certainly was not greener than Mr. Indifferent. Mr. Hate was determined to live up to his name, and I was his next target, the receptor of his verbal wrath that had neither rhyme nor reason. It appears that he was instinctively hateful toward any and everything within sight regardless of any connection with himself. Never had I seen eyes and body language more hateful.

Who cares for destination?
We are just journeying,
And journeying with fun.
Always in the present
So happily caught
We never give it a thought
Where the road is headed
No use asking us
Whether it’s the right thing to do,
What we did?
Who cares for right and wrong?
When it’s so pleasing to the ear-
The soft love song.
She and me
When we started this journey
Two paths had converged
Gradually our likes
And dislikes merged
Bringing us together
Taking us
Farther and farther
Now, so used to
Being one
Than two,
We don’t wish
This journey to end
Get scared every time
We see a bend
A perfect match
A committed pair
Both of us love
This road to nowhere......
NEW BOOTS
WE DROVE IN YOUR BIG BLACK
TEXAS TRUCK
ALL NIGHT FOUR DIRECTIONS
NO DESTINATION
NO LONGER LOVERS
NO LONGER FRIENDS
TONGUES TIED
INTO A CHERRY KNOTS
NO WORDS TO SHARE
NO LONGER BOUND
TO THE ROAD WE WERE ONCE ON
NO LONGER HOLDING
EACH OTHERS' THOUGHTS
OR DREAMS OR HEARTS-
DRIVING WEST INTO THE
SUNBURN LIGHT
HIGHWAY 40 IS CLEAR
I'VE HUNG A CRUCIFIX
AROUND MY NECK
YOU NO LONGER THERE-
I LEFT A
SILVER EARING
BY THE BED
I ONLY NEED ONE
ON MY EAR
JUST MIXED, NOT MATCHED
SPARKLING IN THE REARVIEW MIRROR.

The strength of a woman should not be taken for granted
Nor should it be misunderstood
It is not that she can't, for she has proven she could
The woman is uplifted by the compliments spoken
Yet torn from deceit of her heart being broken
The hurt of a woman lies within, hides within, cries within
Her smile comforts her pain
As she chose never to run away from the rain
From your stupidity, you try your best to bring her down
And now her uncertainty is shown through a frown
Shake it off, are you serious? Don't ever stoop that low
Of allowing that man control of removing your smile and glow
The strength of a woman is revealed from one who fell down
Was pushed down, knocked down, yet did not stay down
Now she began to look up, get up, climb up, stand up, and stay up
The strength of a woman, don't try to understand
Just know the power of a woman cannot be taken by man
Her future holds many possibilities that are fitted like a cap
She knows her destination without a navigation system or map
She is now the astronaut, the lawyer, the CEO and the cook
Her life is observed by many for she has written her own book
The strength of a woman to push out a life and pull a heavy load
Are some of the many stories of her journey to be told
Who is this woman that she can choose
To pick from her closet different types of shoes
Yes, 3 inch heels, they hold it all
All the weight and burdens she carries when she stands tall
Through persistence, perseverance and determination
She was able to overcome, the outcome, with little income
Which shows just how she has BECOME the woman of strength
My head hit the pillow and I was asleep,
I fell into a dream that was so deep,
standing on the deck of a fighting ship,
the vessel did rise, then into gulley did tip.
The waves so cruel did rise and fall,
and all did work for the good of all,
the Dramallach Raven was sailing through,
a storm of darkness, the ship held true.
Deep in the darkness, the waters did crash,
against the ships fore they did mighty smash,
yet this mighty vessel was sailing true,
it would reach its destination, all the crew knew.
Where was this ship bound on this stormy night?
The moon shining down, its beacon light,
the Dramallach Raven on its way to Hell,
I knew this ship and my legs fell.
I knelt and I looked to the wheel,
my horror I could not conceal,
the skeletal captain did doff his hat,
let me wake and that be that.
Greater Consciousness - For Contest
A bird at its will, soaring high in the sky
Symbolic of liberty for the worldly we
But actual spirituality throws different light
It crosses all frontiers of worldly delight!
The aroma, the taste, the bliss of spiritual value
Migrate beyond streaks that our senses can pursue
Path to attain such soul awakening....
Is tough, requires true faith preserving
The sublime feel of unison with universe
Subsumed in Supreme soul, all souls and cosmos!
Pleasure or pain nothing shakes our soul
Birth or death nothing deters our goal!
Ineffable experience and experiment
Rule to reach is the detached attachment!
Dark tunnels of ignorance flood with enlightenment!
Aura expands with golden glow, all sides radiant
The spiritual peak of prism of self-actualisation,
Reached with the oriflame of meditation
Once awakened, soul feels a dip in River Styx
Rejuvenates from dark ashes like the Phoenix!
The delicate nuances of real happiness realised
Contentment perpetual, soul revitalised
Conscious stupor amidst all the trifles
State of zero- ego, no worldly goals
Deeper as we move ,there's still to reach
Beyond the horizon waves of bliss preach!
Our body is chariot and soul is the horse
Mind is the charioteer holding all reins!
Controlling the mind is hence the first rung
Once this feat achieved, spiritual song will be sung
We reach salvation, the sacrosanct position!
No reverses for its our ultimate destination
Many set sail seeking mystic bliss, only a few accomplish it
Some pretend, some enlighten, some quit
Those who fake are sure to fail and fall
Those who realise, will be above all
Those who quit will still have chance to re-install
Let the blissful spiritual journey begin
Let Yang be augmented, demolishing the Yin!
An eternal journey of soul to tranquility
A perpetual rendezvous with divinity!!!

Yesterday I stopped by the corner newsstand.
“I know full well you can’t afford the Sunday paper, but
why are you in the street?” A voice in my head asked.
I should be in the subway for my morning satire of the
bureaucratic city. Destination frantic.
I like the street lamps in my neighborhood that keep on
until noon. That’s privilege trying to call your attention.
Everything I need is near my finger tip, across the window,
window shopping, a sign of my freedom.
I believe I will die believing one day I can
afford shopping there. It’s amazing how the hope never dies!
There’s real drama hidden in hope and expectation.
I work minimum wage at Amazon, less wretched than
the Amazon natives fleeing deforestation, still thrashing
like a chopped tree. The dead trees speak louder than me.
Old poets look at how I look at you. I think of you relentlessly.
You’re the birds high overhead and I’m the last lunatic in your
velvet city filled with official holidays. Freedom means a holiday
from your inner infernal city, beheading all your statues, making
personal peace.
Freedom is more precious than life
when we fight for the right cause,
envy and hatred merit no applause;
our fathers defended it with pride.
All of a sudden violent rioters have gone into remote hiding,
hushed by sheer folly and betrayed by a belief so demeaning:
they don't mention the one who has declared blessed peace;
we can do without these troublemakers who defy the Police.
The Flotilla led by Great Thunberg sailed in dangerous water,
her goal was to bring aid, it never reached its destination:
two hundred people on board of small boats threatened by war;
it wasn't their task to bring supplies that would be stolen.
They don't mention the name of the one who declared blessed peace,
this what hypocrites do: they stir anger, I've watched them in disbelief;
they should use their time in productive ways, not get deep in grief:
they were given great things, but they took them apart piece by piece.
Fear, chaos and unrest make us aware of our madness and silliness,
if they are no saviors, no doers, no heroes to look up to: be inventive,
don't greet darkness, which is the source of despair, greet brightness;
love for oneself and others is the key to a happier living, choose these.
