Should anyone hurt you with cruel words or deeds
And there is no one to lean on for comfort
I hope, if nothing else...
You seek refuge in my outstretched arms
And feel the cozy warmth of my caress
Should the North Star mislead you as you follow it
Faithfully, and you eventually end up lost
I hope, if nothing else...
Adiona guides you from the dusty road
Of nowhere to your desired destination, or back home
Should we depart the shallows, and the ebb and flow
Of the tide erase our footprints by the edge of the shore
I hope, if nothing else...
The cauldron of memories we left there
Keep boiling over for eternity
Should you fail once, twice or many times
Like Sisyphus pushing a boulder up the mountaintop
I hope, if nothing else...
You keep trying, again and again
Though he never could, you eventually will

Mythological references:
Adiona is the Roman Goddess of safe return
In Greek mythology, Sisyphus or Sisyphos (/'s?s?f?s/; Greek: S?s?f??, Sísuphos) was the king of Ephyra (now known as Corinth). He was punished for his self-aggrandizing craftiness and deceitfulness by being forced to roll an immense boulder up a hill only for it to roll down when it nears the top, repeating this action for eternity.

In secret temples, hidden from the sun
A false faith gathers, deceit is done
Gullible hearts, enslaved by design
Treasures drained, with prophetic lies divine
Their slogans echo, "Bring ye, bring ye"
Promising blessings, but delivering misery
To the obedient, a "bless ye" they say
But to the rebellious, "curse ye" each day
Elites and innocents, deceived and torn
Scriptural knowledge used to justify their scorn
Wolii, Pasito, Alfa, Malam, with strategies grand
Enriching themselves, at others' command
Unsolicited prayers, astrological feats
Deceiving the vulnerable, with wicked treats
Daughters, sons, and wives, in trouble abide
Property and inheritance, seized with pride
They claim divine right, a direct hotline
Their opinions supreme, actions unstinted and fine
"Lest thou touch the anointed of God" they cry
While craftiness impoverishes, and hope denies
Heaven's promise, a distant, fading light
Yet death's dark shadow, fills their hearts with fright
Mansions rise, empires grow, with oily gain
Anointing oils, aprons, handkerchiefs sold in vain
Armored convoys, bulletproof cars, their ride
A contradiction, to their heavenly pride
Their actions shout, "We fear, we hide"
While preaching courage, with a false, holy stride.
Absurdity walked this path of a whorish lane,
Dauntingly decked in a dark seductive garb
Egregiously seeks the thrones by craftiness,
Nebulous transverse for the wayfaring man.
Illusions of a well worn thigh concealed with facial mascara.
Killjoy bipolar nagging for control, demanding dominance by demonic antics,
Eccentric public commodity makes it the brothels for quickie.
Acrimony well taught from the market square by “Iyaloja”
Damaging defiance conscripting father to “garri Ijebu” and Fish
Egomania derailed from home and deprived of morals,
Sagged and perforated lurid frame perfumed for a prey
Offensive forlorn factious feigned facades
Lacklustre and noxious mien seduced the prey by lewd bait,
Absurd Incentive the goal, merchandise of greed, A week of affiance.
What is she writing in there?
Why does so much of me care?
Is it blasphemy against her mother – me?
Is it something that makes me out to evil be?
I am tempted to go right in and take a peek.
But it might be better if later I go in and sneak.
What’s she doing with that evil pen of hers?
Her words can be poisonous and sharp as spurs.
I have heard them laughing, her and my kin.
She is a bad guy sometimes, my daughter, Pin.
What lies is she throwing down on a page?
If it makes fun of me, I will show her such rage.
What is she doing in there all of the time?
Am I a laughingstock in her stupid rhyme?
What’s happening to me? Why is she taking my power?
When will I get to see her craftiness, in the final hour?
Is she using her diary or just loose pages that be?
Is she creating a missive that makes fun of me?

Bleeding so painfully...I escape the light
I try to forget the hardships...brewing in life
But, it's too hard to live this life...this life
Breathing so heavily...I fade away into the night
I try to forget my past...it slits me like a knife
But, it's too hard to live this life...this life
Fight away the monster in my heart
Throw away my sorrow...Take away my wretchedness
Burn away the hideous rage...tearing me apart
Take away the anger...renew my joyfulness
Oh God...please forgive me...
I long for Your cheerfulness... to set me free!
Bleeding so dreadfully...I pray for delight
I try to pray for mercy...for this pain is too much to bear
But it's too hard to live this life...this life...
Fighting back tears...I discover His light
I try to pray for comfort...and I know He is there
I pray for His wisdom...to scare away the strife
And escape from the darkness
I look forward to the afterlife
When there's no sorrow or pain...
When there's no manipulation...no evilness...
no violence...no craftiness...
Replayed...replayed...
Someday...someday
That time will come!
We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where our forerunner, Jesus, has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.
Hebrews 6:19?-?20 NIV
In darkness once drifting away
No control of the direction of the sail
Ropes had all came untied
To and fro tossed back and forth
Never reading the map before leaving
Believed in my own guidance
You have heard men hate asking for directions
Would rather drive in circles
Not the first time I would
Have to learn the hard way
But in this moment when seeking guidance
In knowing there was something I was missing
All , became calm with a new vision
An anchor grabbed my soul in an instant
Having Jesus to pull up the curtain
From then on excited to be a crew member
Who else could control the wind
And bring the mind to ease in Stillwater.
Many others try to convince
There boat is faster
Some say there's holds more people
Some might say this one is unsinkable
We have the best metals one could buy
In response, saying this one was made
Without the hands of man
Are things to parrish
When one has found the true one
Stay in it for this one is heading home.
All glory to Jesus in being
The anchor unto a soul to cling to
Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming.
Ephesians 4:14 NIV
I learned how to cheat,
because you always believed me
when we burned in the heat...
as I was lost in your beauty!
My smiles were lies,
gifts to cover them with cleverness,
but what is the price
a cheating man pays for his craftiness?
Nights without a woman's tenderness,
days without hearing her voice of gladness!
I took everything like a remorsless thief bound for cheats,
while another heart shared the same love you thought
was the only possession your faithful heart ever sought...
you miss all the smiles of my lies as your loneliness deepens.
My smiles were lies of an untrue lover showing
beautiful images of deception
but you fell for them without realizing
that in them there was no affection;
and today, remembering those those moments of exstacy,
nobody can persuade you from believing in my dishonesty!
Prince you are and master who traffics merchandise
your ships o're seas do travel market paradise
trade you do in human souls commodity and ware
buy and sell your targets exchange material for our care
You have numbered mankind like slaughter for the sheep
branded their mind and hands your ideology they keep
hazy is the outline your doctrine of their need
veiled by the costume concealment of greed
How many become lost in the glitter of your store
never satisfied with plenty but always wanting more
like idols you make them cannot see nor hear nor speak
boldly feed their vanity corrupt the very weak
Your stock and trade the trap you've laid
you do counterfeit what's True
with commerce shade a new religion made
skilled entrapments pervade the view
Just like the old religions their lusts do you restore
with craftiness you perpetuate avocation of the Whore
Costly is her clothing embroidered veil upon her head
outside painted beautiful but inside is dead
You've sold them an ideal and into they've bought
so many think they're nothing unless they have alot
the emptiness interior with diversion seek to fill
subtle its inception nearly painless way to kill

From one heart to another, Uncle Carl you will truly be missed ... And
May God continue to bless you from beyond the heavens. I love you ... And
Auntie Connie, thank you for blessing me with the idea of this poem. Which is
called...
--- MY LAST AND FINAL RUN---
Written By: Tiffany Saxon
As I look into the mirror, I smile while adjusting my crown.
(sigh)
God, you have truly blessed me in this life, and I want to thank you,
and while I wait on my train to come pick me up. I want to acknowledge
that there's not too many people who were born on a birthdate and
leave on the date in which they were born into. You blessed me to see
my family and friends at my 50th Anniversary. While leaving an ever-
lasting impression of many who followed your words through me ...
Can you see the timeline of happiness, marital bliss, love, ups and
downs, and lastly, your blessing of strength through the eye of your
promise, love, and craftiness.
And
to my Queen (Debra) and family (Carl, Craig, and Carla)
Thank you for making this life worth living. We stood from the
beginning to the end. However, this is just the beginning...
Because
As long as you have hearts, that's where i'll keep beating.
When the sun is bright ...
That's where our love will continue to shine.
And lastly,
I'm with you for all the seasons because we weathered all
of the storms day-in and night.
All Aboard!!! Well, that's my call (smile)...
My work is never done ... Until we meet again,
This is "MY LAST AND FINAL RUN".
The End!
