my brother
in law
after having
double knee
surgery refused
to be put
down
customized
four tires over
sized for out

back had on

the right
held his
shot gun
up front
two beverage
holders both
for beer
but now
as i get
older
i
hear my
knees crack
feel my feet
ache and my
back bends
primately
forward
what

forward to
envisioning
what my ride

Most Dangerous in the U.S.A.
By Franklin Price
03/05/2020
I heard today, Pelosi say
Most dangerous in the U.S.A.,
Is Donald Trump, must make him pay.
There isn't any other way.
Get all the Dems out to the polls,
Citizens, illegal souls,
And some deceased, out of their holes.
They all must play their voting roles.
The Democrats will then present,
One of two, who will be sent,
A Socialist for president,
Or Democrat whose mind has went.
If in this year, Dems do not win,
They will go after Trump again.
To give him rein would be a sin.
The Dems must take the House again.
Republicans must not hold back,
Must defend as Dems attack.
Must take the House to seal the crack,
And keep the Senate in the sack
This situation's not for me.
Would like two parties there to see.
If crossed the aisle, would keep us free.
If Trump is kept, it cannot to be.
Republicans must take it all
The House and Senate must recall
Or the U.S.A. will likely fall
Or, at least, another four, will stall
I heard Pelosi, what you said.
Those foolish words came from your head.
I hope you lose your seat instead.
You should be out, you've made your bed.
Flung The monsoon midnight thunderings
When I thought of the thunder snow
Deep into the darkness chattering
Taking the summer sandstorm from out of my heart cold
Suddenly I heard some waiting
Only this and a thundercloud I crave
This the silent stormless star burstings
Alas that poacherous lightning I discovered waves
Those of the whirlwinds
I can't see, nor can I move go
I am deaf and blinded by thunder snow
Instead I uncovered the mess of spears skins
I craved the splendid sorrowful snow blizzard
Rising Sun dimly shining
The dust falls from the sky
Sounds of thunder went to's cry I crave
The splendid storm full qual
I felt compelled to sniff the air
To warn me about the chromosphere
The trees I could not awaken here
My ears popped my knees are shaking
I can't see nor can I move go
I am deaf and blinded by thunder snowing
That moment my soul grew stormless through the cries blow
And wonders has clouds collide
Making rumbles midnight thundering thunder
My eyes sighting clouds floating like a pillow ride
As the sun shines wondering crack boom kaboom-pow
I can't see nor can I move go
I am deaf and blinded by thunder snow/em>

12 BROTHERS BEARING GIFTS
A Mother weeps, her child is born,
A Father poor sits all forlorn,
The wind howls through their shelter rough,
The wood for their fire is not enough.
And though no gifts can they bestow,
Of riches and of jewels that glow,
12 brothers bearing gifts of joy,
Arrive for the poverty stricken little boy.
The first comes, gliding down the panes,
So fresh, so quiet to fill the lanes,
The tiny babe’s cheeks are pink, and bright,
The air is cold, and all is so white.
The next seeps through the crack in the door,
And fills the hut in a might roar,
The little boy giggles, he thinks it’s fun,
His folks light the fire their day’s work done.
The third brings winds that cloud the sky,
And all around migrant birds begin to fly,
And the fourth heralds the April showers
Preparing for May and Spring-time flowers.
And with June days, the Summer starts,
Cold, rain and snow now all departs,
The sun is smiling, its rays spread about
Children playing happy to be out!
October brings Autumn, which in it’s height,
Is out in the country a magnificent sight,
The wool is woven, the crops are in store,
When will Winter, come knocking at the door?
The 10th makes the heavens open wide,
So all the animals scurry to hide,
Leaving behind a child full of thought,
That the richest of parents couldn’t have bought.
And the next leaves the trees looking so bare,
But the child doesn’t worry or give it a care,
For the woods look so pretty in their Winter glory,
And the wind whistles gently whispering its story.
And now that Christmas is almost due,
All poverty is forgotten, it’s the parents cue,
So out, come small savings in bright coloured coffers,
To celebrate the goodwill that this brother offers.
It’s a problem that I see time and time again,
An issue that’s so rampant throughout lots of schools.
Although some (culprits) victims may be children of your friends,
You should not encourage them to think that they’re cool.
This epidemic is not only in school halls.
It has become an issue out in the world.
The problem has spilled over into public malls
Where there are lots of innocent boys and girls.
Young children should never have to see such a thing.
We can’t continue to let them fight this alone.
Children aren’t aware of the shame that they may bring
To the very parents that provide them a home.
Many of these kids are too young to know better.
So, as adults, we have to step in and show them
That, as a family, if we stand together
Their addiction can ultimately be condemned.
If you’re willing to give them the shirt off your back,
Why not make an investment that’s much more heartfelt?
Let’s help to finally rid the world of crack
And give every kid in America a belt.
While others fall through the cracks of society,
I confront every crack with a willing dive and leap.
I am the greatest slacker that has ever come to be,
never contributing anything to anything or anybody,
always taking the path of least resistance religiously.
Once while collecting unemployment, while on welfare
and social security disability,
while also collecting a pension I received monthly,
a government official paid a visit to me.
Now I live in a resort prison of very minimum security.
Room and board, three square meals, everything that I need,
to live the rest of my life comfortably absolutely work free.
I am the most successful slacker of all slackers
that have ever come to be.
When the ebbs and flows of the months and years
parted our paths like ocean currents,
the inexorable wind
ruffling the taut sails,
pushing my ship onwards
till you vanished from the horizon.
As the stars lap merrily on the sea,
you appear under the final slithers of waning moonlight
in fragments upon the shattered mirror,
silky hair billowing outwards
like a blossoming flower.
Flashes of our past flicker indecisively,
the joyful scenes reenacted by nature,
its retelling of our tragic tale
so tangible, like a solid hologram.
I'm too afraid to remember
but far too cowardly to forget.
For too many nights I've lied,
huddled inside the rocking cabin,
fabricating the hope for a tomorrow
yet clutching still at the straws of yesterday,
bandaging every crack in its weathered hull,
refusing to let it all slip away.
In between the constant flapping of the sails
and steadfast glow of the stars,
my mind drifts into a realm, a history,
that belongs to a desolate name.
And I can't help but wonder;
who do you truly care about now?
Leisurely walk around Lords non stop pop of champagne cork
Scorecard dork does chalk the first over from Will O’Rourke
Another flowering Kiwi tree who gets the ball to talk & fork
While towering style of Kyle with guile & wile gall fans gawk
Doff your hat to Matt who really is all that aficionados squawk
Smith another hawk with similar riff for this tiff swing will stalk
Serious talent apparent not transparent with delirious torque
Balk one last refrain from the reign of Kane the Kiwi bulwark
If it grips rips what pips seeing Glenn Phillips flips & fillips
Golden arm charm can disarm like when baby Joe in skips
With Kane masters and pastors of snips missing the slips
Nudges nurdles overcomes hurdles as fans lick their lips
Never ruffled by kerfuffles silky shuffles and wristy whips
Express bouncer nips & dips caress the ball off their hips
Finesse not largesse witness their prowess heavenly sips
Zach having been so cack defence so slack got the sack
No coming back picked from the pack Gay to have a crack
Not out of whack got the knack this season has got a stack
Trust plucky Ducky again gets lucky no vastly ghastly hack
Stokesy becomes like Wokesy bat & ball gets us off the rack
Dirty Harry not shirty silly willy nilly hill billy flirty is like smack
In Ashes dung Tongue among the flashes of changing tack
No Josh tosh stung with gung ho bolts flung stumps thwack
Tongue climbs a rung with pace he brung others made us yack
Golly after much flak jolly Ollie the wally again leads the attack
After scold behold in from the cold part of fold & in the black
Coz after Oz fires our tyres flat just old hat we need a new jack
If not too chatty no cheeky drag on sneaky f*g or fatty snack
Hopefully no folly he will be fit on the track give us bit we lack
No off his trolley verbal volley Ollie could be return of the Mac
He had fondly decided to do his best
And win her love- his warm,cute choice ;
He flew about her, in chivalry and poise,
Who pecked and offered him to build a nest
That should be all of comfort and pride,
Besides being surely safe and compact ;
Beating amorous wings he receded with tact :
It should be pompous ; she won't deride
Nor ever in any way, the cosy love decline ,
As he would truly buckle down and align
Hovering about the nearby greenery and foliage,
He perched finally on an entangled branch,
Watching the waters running through a ranch ;
From the dawn to the dusk he did engage
His spirits and effort to search and port,
Shreds and patches of fronts and grass;
Every flight secured his hope and strength across ;
And then in all came up a neat little fort,
The emotive achiever made a careful scrutiny
Contented that the nest would house his destiny.
Fluttering around the proud preener, he did woo
In soft twitters and impulsive moves explicit ,
Of flapping wings and the beak came the tweet ;
The preview began without much ado....
Just a perch on the nest shaped well
And a few choice leaps here and there ...
She shrugged and fluttered away in the air
Leaving the poor proposer in a pell-mell
Yet was there a helpless humble chase
To seek the hopeful way out of the maze
The crest-- fallen darer with lost regard
And vanity, wrathfully began to crack --
Peeling and undoing every minutely twined pack
And pull down- his love laboured hard ,
With perches and hops crazy and anger agile;
The torn naive mass from the foliage nook,
Fell into the nonchalant water of the brook;
The puny loser's flight was fretful and fragile;
Snug warmth empowers and accomplishes a task
While cold pride crushes and sticks a mask.
(Son) Father, mother, time has come,
I’ll go out while I’m still young,
To venture out and see creation,
And wander through every nation.
(Father) Silly boy, don’t you know?
Life is long, take it slow,
Wait some time before you go,
As our child that’s what you owe.
(Mother) What will we do all alone?
Who will help us but our own?
When we’re old and senile,
Will you come all those miles?
(Son) Before you die, I promise,
I’ll come back, I’m honest,
I’ll take care of both of you,
And show you how much I grew.
But the son who went away,
Soon became nature’s prey,
Before he could come back,
He got buried in some crack.
First the parents were full of hope,
But after thirty years they began to cope,
That the next time they’d see their son,
Was when they’d died and life was done.
