Hey Hey
I woke up with a story
Something lingering on my lips to be told.
I pondered on how to sound convincing talking about it;
Or, as in this case, writing about it.
A tale of consistently feeling like sleep was both good and bad.
I needed the sleep for me to be productive;
But I didn't need it as a reminder that the day was over.
That the day I just spent not achieving much was ending.
With the fear of repetition,
The words lingered.
The story of how I placed my people on a good slate.
Making sure there were smiles when I reached out.
We don't always talk about what makes life for us.
Like I know you are there, and I only want good memories for you.
I hope that this rapport is worth it in the future.
But right now, I feel numb.
I'm telling you about 150 days of muffled hearing.
The days I was indifferent to the world.
Focused solely on the feeling of how much success I crave.
The inherited patience.
The cautious waves of laughter.
Dreams feeling too big when they aren't.
"You are stronger than I am"...
I wondered if that was a statement or a question by my loved one.
Amidst the numerous intentional chores.
I realized these are the numbing days.
Held on to my phone for too long;
Something I seldom do.
Browsing through the several musical apps,
Wondering what song suits the situation.
Should it be upbeat?
And quicken my body from this numb state.
Should it be mellow?
And embrace what I am feeling right now.
The emotion is unknown, but I define it as numb.
While still searching through my phone.
I found that no songs come to mind.
I am keeping myself busy;
With things that make me seem hardworking to others;
Yes, those intentional chores.
They became my music.
Drowning myself in those lyrics.
The lyrics of my movement,
Accompanied by that sole desire for this phase to be over;
These are the numbing days.

Despite its vastness, wisdom may appease.
Your darkest fears that keep you up at night,
Such as wicker crypts where hues limit light,
More important is your mellow serene breeze.
Shun worrying through what those may say in jest,
Might suffer or speak in your short-lived fame.
Since prestige is only a false claim,
While true self-worth lies within your chest.
Reading books till one's eyes begin to dim,
Yet, the knowledge to grasp appears from eyes.
Each move you make is consistently wise,
When faced with life's ever-shifting whim.
Past anguished serves as an anchor reminder.
Of who we are, and visions we seek to find.
My typewriter
was not a good typewriter,
its keys were weighty,
you had to use brain muscle to work it,
nobody wanted it.
My son unpacked a home computer.
I stood by and watched
as all the electronics were laid out on the floor
and surgically knitted together.
I knew then
that I would be consistently out of touch,
and possibly would remain
stuck in an obsolete year
trying to catch up
from the rear of the field.
I wrote my first poem
on that clickity-clack manual machine,
then a dozen more,
all of them were heavy handed,
yet that hefty labor
made me think
I was crafting something worthwhile.
Later, I was enslaved to a computer keyboard,
chained as I was to its subsonic urgings
I could tell
the world was speeding away
faster than I could write.
When my kind of poet dies,
he is immediately ed,
for all his contemporary poems
turn into digital wormholes
that suck him into an unknown grave.
The young look to dead poets for wisdom -
truth is,
that those ham-fisted plodders
have long ago
turned into chunky typewriters
that nobody wants.
Proverbs is full of great wisdom
having complete trust in its word
leads you in the way of righteousness
any other route is totally absurd
Don't trust in your own sight
be sure to display godly reverence
turn yourself away from all evil
fear the Lord your God in His night
You can't do these two things
for fearing God is hating evil
all types of perverted talk you hate
arrogant pride brings your justice date
Your iniquity needs to be atoned for
faithfulness and divine love does this
fear the Lord and turn from evil
brings you to receive your eternal kiss
Having God's fear deep in your heart
enables you to be holy and obey
all that the Lord commands upon yourself
in Christ, you're able to do as He says
(Be not wise in your own eyes;
fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.
Proverbs 3: 7(ESV)
The fear of the Lord is hatred of evil.
Pride and arrogance and the way of evil
and perverted speech I hate.
Proverbs 8: 13(ESV)
By steadfast love and faithfulness, iniquity is atoned for,
and by the fear of the Lord, one turns away from evil.)
Proverbs 16: 6 (ESV)

" I believe it is impossible to consistently walk in obedience and holiness unless you have the fear of God in your heart." - David Wilkerson (1931-2011) U.S. Evangelist )
McGee was feeling poorly
Rather dizzy, kind of weak
He started thinking, that perhaps
It's a Doctor he should seek
His wife agreed, and drove him
To the nearest Doc in town
As they made it through the door
She helped him to sit down
It wasn't long before
The Doctor called, and asked Him in
And it didn't take a minute
For the testing to begin
Then after all the pictures
The prodding and the poking
The Doctor's smile disappear
As he set aside all joking
I have to speak with you alone
He said to Ann McGee
Soon your Husband's gonna die
But it doesn't have to be
He has a stress disorder
That will surely kill him dead
Unless of course you're willing
To change some things instead
"What can I do" Ann inquired
Her hands upon her head
"I'll tell all the things to do'
The Doc abruptly said
You mustn't wake Him early
For he needs more time to rest
And forget about a list of chores
He'll have to work must less
You mustn't stress him out
With problems that might weigh
And cook him three good meals
Consistently each day
And mostly whats's important
As He handed her a bag
Have him take one each day
And for Gods Sake, never nag
The Doc then turned and said
If you do these thing, It'll clear
And he should show improvement
In six or seven years
Ann thanked the Doctor kindly
Then returning to McGee
Said "I'll take you home now, darling
And make your favorite tea"
It was silent in the car
Until they drove about half way
McGee then asked impatiently
"What did the Doc say"
Anne stopped the car abruptly
As tear fell from her eye
"Oh, McGee, My Dearest Love
He said your gonna Die"

...
I thought I heard your voice calling to me from deep within the night
Telling me how much you love me, how we would be together again soon, and all would be
alright
I opened my eyes and you were no where in sight
I closed them quickly and held them shut tight
Hopeing for a chance that one moment to hear your voice again, I couldn't, but I tried so
hard with all my might
There's such a connection with you and I, there always has been, and I know you feel it to
Everywhere I look, and in everything I do, it all reminds me of you
So how do you do it, I need to know
How can you let me fade away and let me, in any part of your life, just go?
Let the story of our lives together forever go untold
How can you just push me back on down
Back into your secret place and not hear the sounds
The emotions screaming so quietly and vague yet oh so loud
The moments, memories, and feelings with me however, will always be around
Might as well face it to one another you and I are definitely bound
Why do you think years ago we were brought together, letting love between us be found?
Your looking for someone you can give your heart to and keep consistently burning in your
sensitive soul
That's why you can never completely let me go
You can never give me the words to just let me move on, but your not just trying to keep
over me that kind of control
A part of you believes that I could very well be right in what I'm saying
You're worried about those words hurting me, but yet you're more scared that if you do that
you may not get me back when you realize our love IS a game still very much worth playing
I know for some reason and some how
You for surely feel the same way for me now
Tell me please-
Do you hear my voice calling to you from deep within the night?
Telling you how much I love you, how we will be together again soon, and that all will be
alright
Do you then open your eyes only to find I'm no where in sight?
Then closing them quickly again and hold them shut tight
Hopeing for the chance that one moment where you can hear my voice, and you can't, but
you tried so hard with all your might
Well I ask you this final question then-
When will you finally once and for all admit to yourself how you truly feel and give up this
damn fight?
I live like a butterfly tangled in the gales of a tornado
I live by struggling to see what lies ahead,
By squinting my eyes to clear my vision
And by trying not to suffocate with the powerful winds!
I live, though, in solo, refusing consistently to hold on to arms
Being handed out to me as symbols of refuge
Promising to protect me against the tornado
As, though made of glass casings, living while holding on to them,
Shall fill me with the warmth and the protection that I seek!
Pray, why should I hold on to these arms
Symbolical they may be, of temporary refuge
But, they are also strong,
Having the capacity to crush me into a bloody mess
Within seconds of having me in their grip!
Arms, laden with the hues of sins,
Shall only corrupt my purity
And have me, swimming like them,
In seas filled with mundane filth!
Pray, arms do reach out to me, as if freshly sprouted
From the soils, creeping up to me, like magic beans' vines,
But I, adamant on keeping my aim bent on seeing the truth of life,
Refuse to let them drag me down
Why, I have been gifted with wings
Am I to use these to keep on flying, and fighting with the winds
As such is what my maker wishes me to do!
Escaping my fate by gripping on to treacherous arms
Would only cause me to have a conscience dripping with envy,
Enviously eyeing those basking in purity
Ardently yearning to have their notion of reality!
Why, never shall I let myself be dragged down
By all that which try to stop me from fluttering my weak wings
This world and its enjoyers are not worth it!
Emptiness can hurt
No one hears the silent screams
Fighting for a way out
A race to the dirt
Surviving the dreams
Destroyed without a doubt
Does the sting ever leave
Deeper longer each time
Praying for it to stop to release
No longer do I believe
This life is not mine
Cries echo in the night.
A deep breath
It's time
No one to hear
No one to interfer
Nothing to fear
I wish I wasnt here
Before me the answer appears
End this nightmare
No longer do I care
Happiness is a joker so beware
Skin exposed bare
Knife sharp enough to cut hair
Another deep breath
Eyes flow
Why wasn't I enough for anyone
Why am I the one always left alone
Why couldn't plans be postponed
Shouldn't they had known
Another deep breath as he enters
Finally my eyes rest upon the last one
Death came to snicker
Smiling down on me eyes glow as the lights flicker
"No more will you have to bicker.
Take it slow no rush I'll take you no quicker."
He touches my bare arm and I watch amazed as it becomes slicker
I thought Death would be cold but warmth then I realize and become sicker.
It begins
I close my eyes
Deaths voice penetrates me.
"Not so fast, slowly"
"Can't you see"
He points as I look I see my life oozing consistently
I look up at Death he smiles again coldly.
"Breathe for it's not yet time he says sickeningly.
Another deep breath
Not so deep this time
I feel my heart beat slow it's racing pace
I think of their face
My babies.. oh sweet Grace..
What have I done what got me to this place..
Another shaky deep breath
Knowing it won't be long
My cries again echo throughout
Please I want to stay they won't understand what this is about
My vision blurs
Another shallow breath
Sight narrows
I see blackness caving in
Why did I have to be so broken
Why could no one see why weren't their hearts open
Finally my hearing starts to fade this is the end
As if in a dream I see them
I see my heart's my love I see I see the end..
Suicide is a final choice
There's nothing past death you'll have no voice
Don't be iffy make sure there's not even a small chance
Because a decision once made...
Allows Death to begin his dance...
In quiet, space breaks down into insight.
Opposing the edge amidst deceit and blight.
Imperceptible resonation is reflected back.
On a hunch, or at the stroke of night track.
A lethal tree is still close in the woodlands.
The spirit was trailing on the kist of the tree.
At first, kids looked to chip with their hands.
Seep into the night in a ruddy shrunken spree.
I wake up early to the Greek myth of Zeus.
A vessel drifting on the Dal Lake in Udaipur.
The sound of a woman sobbing in sadness.
Over calm green oceans, echoes in Jupiter.
She was performing in a velvety baritone.
Pain in the midst of the tranquility of dawn.
Endeavoring to perform the icy top in June.
Mountains that frame the Kilimanjaro awn.
Ghastly calamities smash and deeply devastate.
I rightly fear that wide-open harm didn't recover.
You can expect the best, yet I will never hesitate.
My dear life depends on your choice; kindly usher.
I regularly defied to bid someone to criticize.
The one-sided truth was dazzling blindness.
My space was thwarted in the related size.
I felt as if somebody led a ruin process.
Sacredness to which humankind might relate,
With the moon sitting on edge of the world.
Mountains meet to uncover the ornate.
Smiling and radiating, from high observed.
There are times when I can feel the crests fly.
I'm being held down as my blood is drained.
Brain scars result from ruined sight and sway.
When I perish, a chasm arises in my mind.
A lean, edge-on which rests one's optimism.
Please be cautious of steps you split wide open.
In fate, a walk on shells will be optimum.
Shift much fatal shooting and be woken.
I minded my name being said in a whisper.
I was adducible of a hand tapping my forearm.
When I swung around to direct a look closer,
I found myself alone and aching for smarm.
How might a heart that dorsum and delicate,
Have the sway to bear a vast part desolate.
But we're apt despite our humble eyesight.
To discover the earth and the vast infinite.
The monstrosity of the encompassing world.
Encompassed by both the sight and the sound.
Emotions energize the heart within the darkness.
Eyes that can consistently scan such elegance.
