Yes, the light does not arrive
it accumulates,
Yes, not a switch but a gradient,
not a moment but an hour,
Yes, darkness and light argue slowly,
neither winning cleanly,
Yes, and the world is briefly,
beautifully, neither.

Yes, at four the darkness is still absolute and entire,
Yes, yet the birds open their throats and sing anyway,
Yes, not because they see the light but because they trust the turn,
Yes, you do not need the dawn before you begin.

Yes, by five the sky tries blue against the black,
Yes, a ghost-colour, a suggestion, a possibility rehearsed,
Yes, night and day inhabit the same sky without confusion
Yes, this is not contradiction, this is honesty.

Yes, by six the mist catches light differently than the hills do,
Yes, a tree steps forward, then the field, then the far ridge,
Yes, each thing returning to its name, its shape, its place,
Yes, having come through the dark without losing what it was.

Yes, this is the joy: the long accumulated yes,
Yes, light choosing the world, detail by deliberate detail,
Yes, the birds already knew and now, so do you
Yes, go through, go through, the light is always coming.

The Day Of The Lord

A tale of pain.
A tale of regret.

Bundles of weeping.
Bundles of sorrow.

Cries of agony.
Cries of despair.

Death of Joy in autumn.
Death of hope in spring.

Wailing in the West.
Wailing in the East.

Tears of death at dusk.
Tears of death at noon.

Alas all hope is lost.
Alas not quite.

Upon my journey's in Rome.
Upon my heroics in Greece.

I fall short of words.
I fall short of courage.

The psalmist sang.
The salmon mocked.

Where at that pillar of strength.
Where at that gifted in all.

But wait, up in the mountains.
But wait, bellow the valley's.

I hear shouts of Joy among the Jews.
I hear wailings in Babylon.

The crier proclaims with Joy.
The crier sings in excitement.

"Here ye sons of Lucifer".
"Here ye daughters of Babylon".

"Grinch your teeth's in anger".
" Drown yourself's in regret".

Burn ye cursed of the Lord.
Perish you children of chaos.

For you had touched the anointed one's.
For you had slain his prophet's.

But rejoice son's of Israel.
But rejoice daughter of Zion.

The day of Judgement.
The day of rejoicing and merriment.

The day concentrated by the Lord has come.
"The Day Of The Lord" has come.

You would not know, but

You would never know me,
But a theme you were of my dream,
Filled by love to the brim,
Unfulfilled that withered like cream.

You would never know me,
Nor my rose petals in your book
I chanced to have a look,
Loveless that dried up, a lost brook.

You would never know me,
Who once came, buds as to blossom,
Unwelcome who had come,
Who could not but keep utter mum.

You would never know me,
Who came to build castles in fort,
Who just hassles did court
A racehorse who had fallen short.

You would never know me
That famine-like when you had felt,
On prayer who had knelt,
And rain clouds had loosened their belt.

You would never know me,
Nor ever remember, for whom
You had in heart no room,
Who was swept aside with a broom.

You would never know me,
Who once shed for you copious tears,
But returned reverse gears,
To go far from you like lost years.

Dance of the Wolves

Dance Nocturne

August night, is an abyss hotter than the day
and the wind the blows was born in hell.
From open windows in their dark interior
the primal scream of lovemaking,
wriggling bodies trying to produce a child
that like them soon will die, but first, it must
go to through the ritual called love, which is but a primitive
urge to copulate the planting of seed before sinking
underground spent and forgotten in the mass graves
of boredom, decorated with flowers
that radiates death to come.
The Tasmanian tiger howls to the moon and
forever vanishes into an ancient forest, while werewolves
sway to a Mexican dirge.

Premium Member What Would You Not Do

God, how come every time I say I can’t do something
You would prove me wrong?
You don’t like me to say “I can’t” Lord?
I know I can do all things
Through Christ who strengthens me
As that is what the Bible said
God, you know what my weaknesses are
And I believe you would go to prove that I don’t
Possess any
Why is that Lord?
Are we strong in You?
All ours are strengths?
What a revelation God
Then I can be anything I want
Accomplish anything I wish to
God You are the executor
We wish for the world Lord
Anything we choose to we can
Oh Hallelujah God
You are so grand
So gallantly generous
We bless You Lord
What would You not do
for us?

Mother

Stepping out of one world and into another
It was my wish that I visit with mother
Attempting to leave my burdens behind
Many things of troublesome worry still linger in my mind

Desperately searching for the most wonderful woman of beauty bright
It was apparent that mother was nowhere in sight
Struggling to fathom the idea that on this day my mother I may not see
Desperately calling to mother to “come to thee”

Searching both near and far; “mother dearest I long to be where you are”
It was on that day; I remember well on my heart was left a scar
For it seemed like an eternity that I did roam
When at last my search was over when it was your beautiful name I saw in stone

Remembering back to the days of old
It was the words of a wise and witty woman that was told
As a tear gently rolled down the curve of her face
It is the love for each other I’m sure that no one can replace

For as I entered, there will be a day that I must go
But there is something that I must share with you and you must know
Forever you have been and forever you will always be in my heart
And it is by your side that I will never part

The Muse Has Gone

I think I may write, but of what I am not sure
It could a be a love verse or one not so pure
I think I would like to write a verse on love and life
But it gets so hard and can be full of such strife

What can I write for this new one-to-one
My thoughts are dried up, and now they are gone
The muse she has left me, what am I to do?
I will just send these lines, as they are now to you.

Please do not judge me, if I get it wrong
But this is a breeze, I may now write a song
A song of love or a song on what will be will be?
Come muse I beg, send a new thought down to me.

No I am not there yet, I can’t think of a new one
So I give up on this piece that was for the one-to-one.
I will do the next one when I know what to say
So this is the end of it, I will send this one your way.

Premium Member I Had a Snowy Dream

I had a dream last night that I was in a northern train,
journeying through snowflakes falling;
and we seemed to be crawling.

I could see magical flakes fall onto the trees and ground,
everything was a blanket of white;
that sparkled so bright,

My dream train traveled on- curving into the wilderness,
I saw deer standing still to watch us;
and licking snow with no fuss.

Birds rested on gnarled branches of the tangled winter trees,
singing a beautiful twittering song;
and in my dream I sang along.

Soon, I was stirring for it was time to come back to my world,
and I saw snow had fallen outside;
still- the flakes drift and collide.

Premium Member O Bipolar, Harass Me Nevermore

O bipolar, harass me nevermore!
Depart from me! For Easter Sunday's here,
a comfort which transforms this time of year,
and gelds you like oxen for evermore.

O minotaur, you cursed bull! Whether more
     man than beast, for you I'll not shed a tear;
away from me, fiend—never to come near!
Be gone, creature! Leave me ever the more.

So, one day, very soon I'll know new life
(though, like a captive in your hellish maze,
a labyrinth and scheme of puzzling strife,
despair, gloom, confusion, and dark malaise,
I languish like prey butchered by your knife)
as hope arrives, freeing me for endless days!

Premium Member Hurt In Her Eyes

I've waited so long out here all alone.
Gazing at the water I think of you.
Reaching in my pocket I grab my phone.

Neither of us is perfect, that is true.
If I make the call will you come to me?
Gazing at the water I think of you.

When I walked out the door I couldn't see.
The hurt in your eyes that I'm sure was there.
If I make a call will you come to me?

A cool wind comes up and blows through my hair.
There are many things I have put you through.
The hurt in your eyes that I'm sure was there.

My flaws are many, I have quite a few.
Even though I didn't wish to cause you pain.
There are many things I have put you through.

I will beg you, to be with me again.
Even though I don't wish to cause you pain.
I've waited so long out here all alone.
Reaching in my pocket I grab my phone.

Do not worry, this is merely a poetic wandering.
I would do nothing to cause my sweetie this kind of pain.
