Jet Lag

I see him stumbling around looking for something to hold on to but there was nothing there except the open thin air and a bunch of bureaucrats wearing thin frocks walking around on wet grass with fake greetings and a forced smile that caught us by surprise.

Bob has been in the news and this has left everyone confused he is running for office again, midths the barrage of criticism running down his spine weakening his legs and making him look like the walking dead. At first, he looks like a robot coming out of a hut, and then it appears like a man in despair. There was no one around to cover him except for gravity and his own sanity.

Bob is fun to be around but this time his attitude makes me frown, he does some weird things, like walking with his nose pointed in the air and use his finger to show you the clock.

Sometimes he is agitated and his temper cuts deep causing everyone to proceed with caution while he rolls the dice and shuffles the cards. He is a nice person to be around but the mood swings will drag you down; yesterday I invited him for tea, we had a small talk and it left my aunt weeping in the dark, what is really going on with Bob?

Bob is a very good man but sometimes he looks very sad; he has a very tight schedule and attends more than ten meeting in a given day, heaven knows how he stands up while going through the gate.

He knows his work quite well and he can talk up a storm from hell and still remain true. I watched him come and go and how he presents himself while he rides the big ship, and the ceremony he attended with the mercenaries hiding in the bushes and the guard of honor marching every hour to pay their respect to Bob.

He wasn’t quite in it, he was always looking for something to hold on to but the air propels him along and John, his closest friend, stood next to him and pushes him on.

I could sense a silent annoyance rising up in john’s emotions, as he reached for support while climbing the steps. He attempts to hold john several times from his back but John shrugs and show him the way with a polite gesture.

They and had a cup of tea towards the end, and spend some time feeling out each other. What was said, I really don’t know but the cluster bombs exploded and close that chapter. The tennis match was a blessing in disguise, and it is an indication of how the story will end, I love happy endings.

Punks like you alway get the pretty ones, treat them like whores and don't think people care about you or what you're going through, truth is it aint even worth it! A Letter To My Friend - V

To my dearest dear…
Am going through a very bad phase
Loads of works and above all business targets,
Once you came to my thought
And out of all yips, I smiled back for a second
Those flicks with you often n often.
It had been days…
And a movie without you is such a draggy em.
My friend writing for you today…
just to hear from you
Have you ever missed me the way I miss you every day!!!

I turned back my pages and a recap from those French classes
It all began when I shared with you few notes and trifle tattles
Best of you three and among you were bit different
Yet once a time to one I was coquettishly attracted.
Befell with usual conversations and sometimes a walk down to the back gate
A smile shared with wonted hi n hello
And an eye to eye abut during the morning break
Day by day and months later we met up at the orkut network.
First few chats pass on with formal gabs
And later I came up with those fiddling craps.
My usual put-ons and your internet slangs
Still reminds me how I use to share with you
Talks about music and movie blabs.
Washed-out few memories, I wonder how I came in touch with you regularly
Familiarity build up and I started to intimate you.
I saw a friend in you and I saw eternality in you
I felt your accent and I felt how much I miss you.
The Nandan erred foreign flicks and lavishly spent at south city
Few snacks and secret fags on our way,
An overnight fuddle…
I just smiled with you all the way.
I wondered your love toward pets
And I wondered your routine aperiodic,
I esteemed your didacticism
And I esteemed your sensation,
I pray at your benevolence
And I wish for your love always be your existence.

Dear Friend! Today I miss you more,
And I wish you to be here
Your presence will give me a blissful core.
I miss you and I will be missing you,
But promise me before you leave
I just want to sit and recollect all those memories with you.
Through my words and through this letter,
I penned you forever n ever
If ever you need me you’ll always find me near.
I wish you a life with smiles and cheers
Just hit me if ever you are invited with undesired tears.
It’s now to say goodbye
Hope to see you soon and hear from you, A reply!!
Till then…take care n bu bye
Yours forever…longed amigo.

Premium Member Gone Fishing

The snow so deep… That it was over our heads… Was a melting by the hour!
Give it a day, or two at most… and with this heat… it would all be gone, forever!
But in the meantime, we were sadly stuck, in mud, deep, within our own backyard!
The water couldn't run off fast enough; our backyard had become a swamp, marred!

Just then, low and behold my old Volkswagen bubbled up, thru the mud it came!
You know, the one, surely you do! Last year it had floated down the storm drain!
Now, low and behold something got out! OH WHAT I’ll never, ever, really know!
Said he was the REAL Swamp Thing, and tired of spring-cleaning his house, so…

He chained the car to a tree, as he hopped out. Said his name was “Gone Fishing”.
Said his Mama read it on a sign, and used it to name her sweet, baby, Swamp Thing!
But then, he saw our back yard, he shouted in delight and decided to visit for a spell!
After all, it’s turned into a real swamp! And he’s the real Swamp Thing! So, Do Tell!

Dragon, the penguins, and all else, followed him straight, to the swamp so profound..
The penguins slid down the muddy slope, and followed the Swamp Thing all around.
But when Dragon tried, his weight got him stuck! We had to wench him, to the shore.
Mud became the name of the day, with mud and snowball fights going on, in galore!

Everyone was in seventh heaven, ‘Gone Fishing’ the same, as they slide, all about!
Fun ensued! For how often can he vacation about? Only once a year! No doubt!
After 2 days of fun, the snow was almost gone, so we cleaned them, as they played.
Yes, the fire hydrant was turned on! Dragon threw his Penguins, happily, into the spray!

That shot them almost to the moon above! The closest to flying they would ever be!
They soared then slide down the street. Even Dragon did play this time! How sweet!
But ‘Gone Fishing’ knew his vacation was up. So he waved a hearty good bye…
As he jumped into the Volkswagen again, and let it fly, and man, could that baby, fly!

It flew down the street, and back down the drain! Before our very own eyes!
That was the last time we saw the Swamp Thing, as we waved, a sad goodbye!
But next time it snows to mile high deep… as it melts, we’ll be looking for our friend.
Here lies our story of ‘Gone Fishing”. It’s real! Honest! To you, I’d never lie! I defend!

And I expect, where ever he really is now… He’s ‘Gone Fishing’…THE END

Painful Perspectives
                Bullying in America

"About 77% of students have admitted to being the victim of of one type of bullying or another."

My stomach tightens once again
By now I know the drill
It doesn't matter what I do
Move on, scream out, stand still

My heartbeat throbbing louder now
As heavy footsteps near
My mouth, dry as a cotton ball
My shoulders hunch in fear

Suddenly, I feel the sting
My cheek turns cherry red
The smack has almost knocked me down
The pain shoots through my head

Now words so cruel they pierce my heart
I try to block the sound
My efforts useless yet again
Scars stain my soul deep down

I touch my flesh to feel it swell
My light begins to die
My head held low, I walk away
Too numb by now to cry...

"Approximately 30% of young people admit to bullying others."

For me, each morning starts the same
No feelings, just routine
Commands and orders barked my way
"Get up! Get dressed! Get clean!"

I step into the blinding sun
Yet pause before I go
Just once to hear, "I love you dear."
The door slams; I should know

The sadness that I used to feel
Has slowly turned to rage
So off to school I stomp ahead
My heart locked in a cage

Not long after I arrive
I choose my timid deer
My heavy footsteps lead the way
Toward the scent of fear

My hand hits flesh; I feel relieved
To share my hidden pain
I utter words so cruel and vile
Too numb to feel ashamed...

"It is reported that 70.6% of young people say they have seen bullying in schools."

Standing near my closest friend
I feel the tension rise
By now, I know what to expect
Not once am I surprised

My fingers tremble slightly still
As I await the scene
I fight the stinging in my eyes
Why is this world so mean?

I watch my best friend cower now
The same thing every day
I cringe for what's about to come
As predator seeks prey

My inner struggle swallows me
I long to take a stand
I fear the wrath if I intrude
Escape, I haven't planned

So helplessly I witness pain
Inflicted on my friend
I wish I had the courage to
Make the bullying end...

Polylepis

To be a polylepis tree you gotta know
You're a polylepis tree & this knowing
Cements by being a polylepis tree,
Knowing between diagrammatic cracks
Fork'd already info knowing during descent.
Mud run through alpine meadow. Rubberized
Crunch on ruddy paths, rucksacks looped,
Deltoids, silly sound serious bulge spine
Ached before leaning away to swallow,
Sepia bark holding his musculature;
Paparazzi march out crimped edges
Of fungi, sussed then left together.
Glottal ribbing. Skeumorph thread
Discs, spades, b-side timpani under eaves.
Copper sheaves, wine burning in cups
Thickening until dark brown oozes
At a lesser velocity, blown eardrum,
Given the climaxes of greater viscosity—

Green epiphytic ferns stitch airy
Misconceptions (soil, root), the drawing in,
& expulsion, the search for a golden
Arboreal rat. A tunnel-maker
Said to be densely populated in woods
Near-gone to potato farms, cattle,
The absent lecture, then, on survival plastic

Spool of thread glued to the back
Drawn in a thin white line, followed
For ur-experiment, hundreds of feet
Climb up the lateral limb, down, dug under
Grass, tunneled, then over miniature crick,
Through nodule floor-sponge, a wetland,
A watershed for a whole valley, to grass
Again, below, finding elaborate nests but
The rat escaped, the sinewy string left.
A choreography misses it, an instinct
Closest but dull, so a blind sight in high
Sun, a canopy growing at itself not up,
Sift, shrift, the want to lay down before
Night freezes the water inside the air.

A return at night to the espeletia, giants
Sunflowers shocked by moon, switch-backs,
Doing Zs, squared, cubed to the tenth clouds
Departing, something horribly there not
Constellation no not a galaxy those are
Not things let them not be where’s the
Name laying in the grass, alpine creekline
Eschatological curvature, mutter, murmur,
A yellowing light flung, the cold how they

Open little air, the screaming sleeve, there!
Of not-this this, in it, out it, here & away,
Something recalled, what a string, rat,
What ways you move, only that body,
No containers for the humans so the sea
Could get that travel-manic blue, sworn
To make another moon of it, another go,
Unfixable, in need of fixing, air adjust,
An alkalinity expectant, a Sulphur rain,
Chattering cargo setting fire to night.

As you read these words
You know me but I'm sure
I must encourage you, this I must do
Why? you ask because I love you

If we all were to love each other
With our eyes close, we would stumble,
Fall and drop the rose
Open you eyes grasp the steam
Embrace the hearts of your fellow man

Why do I say that I love you
It's because God has given me a choice to
Don't you realize that heaven was also on earth
And that out of our disobedience we were cursed

As you read these words
You don't know me but I'm sure
I must encourage you, this I must do
Why? you ask because I love you

There's no sensual, sexual, sinister reason though
It's not about me it's all Jesus. to learn and share agape love
Take heed share with me the free liberty, love real
Be not fake and love religiously
Be what God wants us to be, forgiving, forbearing, share and caring

Let's us not be afraid, love each other as the bible says
Do for me as I'd do for you share your knees with the floor
Pray for other, you, me and the world
Your trial is your testimony, imagine it when your done with it
You'll have the victory

So let us love our neighbor as thy self
Put on your robe, your crown of thorns and let's praise and worship Jesus
Why do I say that I love you
It's because God has given me a choice to
Don't you realize that heaven was also on earth
And that out of our disobedience we were cursed

Lastly but eternally I shall always say, that I love you
This is Jesus way
I love you for your human and you are loved
I love you for your a man, woman, boy and girl
I love you for your mind, I love you for kind
I love you for your race, no matter the color of your face
I love you for you're elderly, I love you for your wrongs
I love you for goods your bads when your happy or sad
I love you for the peace of your sweet release
I love you for you who am I to judge
I love you cause we're all just sinners, SAVED by grace
And when you're done reading this verse
Give your closest loved one a hug and a kiss
God loves you more than I, I can't judge I've no heaven nor hell to send you
I love humanity just because I SHOULD

Trust No One

-Sentimentality can blind a man to the truth. Those who appear the most trustworthy deserve
the most suspicion. So check on those we trust (Trust But Check).

The people closest to us cause the most pain
When emotions are dry they expose us to more rain
They say trust is a virtue
On our mind from dawn to dusk like a child's curfew
When I sit and think about trusting another girl
My mother
A friend
My brother
I change my mind
Brush trust to the side
I'll never forget how much I trusted her and got cheated on
When I was little trusted my mother and got beated on
Trusted my dad but got badly neglected
Thought me and him were homies but got badly disrespected
All grown up now and nobody can get close
I feel I trust myself the most
For others I possess no feelings
Like a ghost
Catch them in their lies pure intuition
The ones most trustworthy get the most suspicion
Traitors can't get an ounce of trust out of me
Thank God I study psychology
I can't help it, they all screw up
Knocked down the ranks soon after they move up
I offer my experiences to all who read this
No one can be trusted, please believe this
Check on those we trust
Verification is a must
Be watchful and vigilant of people who label you with lust
Women don't set youself up to get laid or played
Men don't allow yourself to sprayed or played
Trust doesn't exist anymore at least in this generation
Looking for love in all places
Such desperation
Spot them before they spot you
Identify the clue
If you can trust them then fine
This is just my opinion
My view

As you have just read, I have a serious trust issue. People only use you for an ulterior
motive they secretly conceal. I know, I know, everybody must face the fact they will be
used. Then again, what about the method of OVERUSING people. Humans in all shapes,
sizes, genders or colors can be so deceiving. I sound bitter, I know that already, but come
on even family can't be trusted. This is just my opinion and cry out to any one to just check
on the people that lust for your confidence. Just cause they appear trustworthy doesn't mean
a thing...

They say without trust, a relationship won't last. They are right. For strange reason however,
I can't seem to trust family, a stranger, a friend, boy or girl. Scary? You tell me. But...What if
I can't trust myself...?

IRONIC EXISTENCE

ronic – isn’t it…?
The very essentials we need to survive
Are the same essentials that endanger and destroy us!
The very same people we love
Are the same loved ones we hurt or hurt us –
The very same life occurrences and events
That cause us to smile and laugh
Are the same occurrences and events that cause tears and humiliation!

Ironic – isn’t t…?
The same life we cherish and deem of priceless worth
And we hold fast to never foresee its end
Is the same life we mis-care for and waste
Toss aside and risk and gamble away
As if its value were less than a penny worth!

Ironic – isn’t it….?
The same sunlight that produces energy and cheerfulness
Is the same sunlight that burns us with its UV Rays!
The same smile that deems us cheerful and beautifully radiant
Is the same smile that label us “fools” to our predators!

The same hand that extends to help and rescue
Is the same hand we use to strike and knock each other down.
The same eyes we use to captivate beauty all around us,
Ae the same eyes that covet our neighbor’s possessions!

Ironic – isn’t it…?
A friend can be your worst enemy
While one’s enemy could have resulted to be your closest friend.
A friend lies to another – even for mercy’s sake
But, an enemy holds NO reservations or presumptions!
If an enemy tells NOT the truth
At the very least he shares his opinion and his thoughts
With no presumptions or reserves!

Ironic – isn’t it…?
The very dust we are drawn from
is the same dust we return upon death.
Ashes to ashes – dust to dust
The conclusive summary of a man’s journey
Is that a man’s life is but a mere reflection – a flash –
Of how his life PRIMARILY began!
“From birth to earth
From womb to tomb”
(More than just a West Side Slogan)
Connoting that life and death are bound like brothers
When often perceived as oppositional rival enemies.
Life calls for a celebration
While death yearns for acceptance
Not rejection!

Ironic isn’t it…?
Death’s announcement bares no good news!
We run from death and fight against it
Even when we know we stand NO CHANCE to defeat it
But only to surrender ourselves to it as we stand POWERLESS against it,
For death cannot be cheated nor tricked
Bribed nor negotiated
Death bears nothing to offer but death itself:
An infinite eternal flat-line with no further response
On any end!

Mirrors of Alzheimers

written too late for the contest, but wanted to post it anyway....

I had one of the most wonderful mom's any human being could have...she lives with me now - with decreasing dementia.., I answer her constant repetitive questions,
listen sadly to all of her accusations, but always have a hug and smile for her. The progression of alzheimer's is very difficult to watch and deal with...and I hope one day they may find a cure for it....

What a lovely bouquet of flowers sitting on the dresser top,
The sweet scent of lavender- who sent them? I thought,
Should get up and feed that spoiled cat before I go,
Got dressed, grabbed the TV remote, and made a cup of jo-
Think I’ll get the paper first- should be laying by the door,
Have to read what’s new today- I picked it off the floor,
That cat is never here, always wandering and staying out,
Think I’ll make a cup of coffee, now what’s all this about?
Why is my TV on? I never watch it ‘til late at night,
Electricity must be shorting out – something’s just not right,
Going to call the landlord, she’ll get some nasty words from me,
“Hello …Sadie...I’m just fine - come over, I’d like some company”
Knock, knock – who’s pounding on the door so early? Why Sadie come on in,
I was just thinking about you - my dearest, closest friend,
Oh, thank you much, I see you put some flowers on my table,
You’re sorry about what…who got run over …god no, not Sable!
Sadie, my heart’s broken – I’m angry - I feel I’m going to die,
Now, now dear, please stop it, tell me, why is it you cry?
Wait until my little cat comes back – she’ll bring you lots of cheer,
Here’s some tissue for your eyes, I haven’t seen you for a year-
Let me make you a cup of tea, we’ll sit a while and chat,
Damn thieves! They’ve taken everything – hope you like your coffee black!
That TV is way too loud , it blurs my thoughts and head,
Did I tell you about my cat? Gone so long, I think - by someone else she’s fed-,
Hang on a minute, the phone’s ringing down in the hall,
Put the TV on if you want– you can watch Lucille Ball-
HEY, YOU THERE!!! How dare you come in without knocking first,
I don’t need anything from you – last time you took my purse –
Of course I know who you are, are you trying to make an ass out of me?
I didn’t come off the banana boat – darling, would you like a cup of tea?
