Let Our Swords Clash

Let Our Swords Clash!

I found that life in my world is like fencing!
Tell me, World!
What’s on the line?
Does the loser give in?
Ready or not? Let’s begin!

For all these years I finally realise,
It was me and the world
Joints now petrified
And my mind, bind to never go outside
He is leading and I am behind
« En’ garde! »
Welcome to your first match
Welcome to the latest patch, 1.0
« Pret, thrust, intercept and slash! »
Come closer, I won’t flee and dash
Have at thee, lad! Let our swords clash!

Blade and body in space scarcity
Resolve to win is considered piety
Blow by blow and bear witness this variety
In this boundary, this cage, gelanggang is our reality
There is always worry
But ain’t never such thing as sorry
Fight me and you may win to earn some cash?
You may earn title and sash?
Our fashion whites are rash
Come closer, let’s see who is the first to gash
Let’s see who is the first to fall to the ash
Have at thee, lad! Let our swords clash!

Me against the world, this is my battle!
This is my challenge of might and mettle
This is my biggest issue to tackle
I’m the Man of Steel! Hit me, thrust me, pierce me, outta the field should you throw me
No!
My mind derives of titanium metal
My drive derives of francium petal
My sword derives weight of helium handle
Fear me and rattle
Because like the Avengers I assemble!
Come closer, and finally lash
Have at thee, lad! Let our swords clash!

I attack, forward! Took hits like a champ
Vitality decreasing as my stance start to damp
Now I realise how huge
Enormous it is... Is it? This ramp
Now I know-
I... need... AMP!
So that my name may stamp
Stamp on the history of this world!
Come closer, let’s create the greatest battle
Have at thee, lad! Let our swords clash!

Up with my mortal jihad
Here I find myself ashore on islands full of tears
And fear
And here fireworks explode and disappear
As millions of colours swallow up everything.
My presence mocks of you, mocks of everything
To the world,
Now, I am thanking!
In the future, I am reimbursing
Have at thee, lad! By then, our swords had clashed.

Inviolate

Nobody has the slightest clue
but there are no leads, either...

We have made sure of that.

The paradigm of who we are
has been
put forth and created
by the ones we love
as much as we created
it in our own minds

it was made
blow by blow
blade by bruise
and with hot and cold breath

as we have fluttered along
to amuse and
confuse those who endure
among us

as we endure ourselves.
Not to quench, but engulf.
Let's add...

"Take it as you will!"
We have proclaimed.
"We don't need your pretty
recriminations!"

But at the end of each day,

you linger and

I have the image of snowdrops
of your teeth on your lips

And the thickness of your lips and
your eye lashes

when you roll your eyes

or when they beat to the rhythm
of your blossoming
dry eyed and thick lipped

dreams and cream.

No one can take the
proclivities
of my heavy heart. It is
a stupid start

from the heaving and aching
(it's unseemly)

from the breath that
goes down a notch
and escapes
the leaps and bounds of
the lips that have done all, cursed you
and kissed all the
bits of you.

I wish for sustance in the gloomy places
and lightness in the treaden on ones.

Perhaps it is not a false paradigm
afterall, when we say it's not so.

And everyone needs to shut
the flip up.

Can not help the confidence
that enrobes
us. Just pretend
and put your hands up
if you aquiesce to my vision
i will put us into real time
Let's go together....

I can't slow it down....
I try to enhance
and it's a small glance
into the darkness,
and you aren't there
I can never fear
That which is not here.

We will avenge
together
if we have
the
time
...
I will make time
for us only
if you would only
spare me a moment

And we won't leave a trace.

Premium Member Dear John

I noticed him a week ago while riding on the train.
Angelic were his face and voice, but will we meet again?

So shy was he (a bit like me), but once we got conversing,
words between us flowed as if they’d never need rehearsing.

The train was slowing, so I asked his last name, but just then
he got shoved back, and in a rush, I had to exit then.

Chorus:
Dear John, dear John, so many things we said.
But nothing that we talked about has led
to any clues of what the young man did -
like where he worked. He’s not on any grid.
I’ll search on though this city is so vast.
I have to find sweet dear John at last.

I want to kick myself. A fool I was because
I’d been too shy to ask the guy what his number was.

My last name neither does he know. Oh my!
I’d felt a deep connection to that guy.

The way his eyes gazed into mine: divine.
His ruby lips enticed me like red wine!

Bridge:
I still cannot believe his name I did not hear.
Bedazzled by him, I was floating in another sphere.
Every day, regardless of the fact I need no train,
I’ll still be riding the same one in hopes we’ll meet again.

I never should have left that train, for now all that I find
is the memory of John. He just won’t leave my mind.

I never saw a wedding ring on the young man’s finger.
Does he, like me, even have thoughts of us that linger?

I keep envisioning our time together blow-by-blow.
Was it all a dream from which I can’t let go?

Chorus:
Dear John, dear John, so many things we said.
But nothing that we talked about has led
to any clues of what the young man did -
like where he worked. He’s not on any grid.
I’ll search on though this city is so vast.
I have to find sweet dear John at last.

Premium Member After the Solar Flares

Its the year 2012
Predictions came true
Earth as we know
Has bitten more, than we can chew

Solar flares
Descended today
We knew they were coming
In deadly rays

All it took
From detection to earth
Was fifteen minutes
Sunburst finish

The oceans have risen
The flood plains reclaimed
Millions have been lost
Drowned, homeless or maimed

Its now 2013
And our atmosphere's shattered
With the polar caps melted
We now must do what matters

As we came to terms
The invasion came
Its as if they had waited
For we were their gain

Where they came from
We do not know
They are more advanced than us
As we take blow by blow

Paris my home city
Is under water
The Eiffel Tower distorted
As i watch the slaughter

As i look to the sky
Their mother-ship hovers
With fighters aplenty
We have no place to cover

Belongings, bodies
The stench of disease
As we are constantly pounded
With precision and ease

Our airfields and armies
Obliterated to nil
The human race as it stands
Tastes the bitterest of pill

Then in mid July
We heard some news
From the Atlantic deep
Now Paris is viewing

Three missiles
Broke from the blue
To their mother-ship headed
All aimed and true

Our navies were lost
But the ships of the deep
Escaped the rays
While the polar flares steeped

It took many, many months
As the invaders were brought down
To the waters we have grown used to
It was their turn to drown

Why they were here
We still do not know
For tomorrow is a new day
As us survivors will show

One thing we do know
And we know this for sure
Our world will never be
The way it was before

Keep Me Under Control

I am so wild, I carelessly run around
I am the last horse in a one horse town
I'm as wild as wild can be
I have zero guidance, so I live my life aimlessly
Do what you have to, send me to assist the Border Patrol
I need someone to neuter me and keep me under control
I live life by the seat of my pants
I don't want love or trues romance
I believe that every moment counts
When you fall down, there is still time and room to bounce
If a jet can fly, it can surely land
When wrong is done, justice needs to be a firm hand
One day I may feel peace and love deep in my soul
When I find that one that can keep me under control
If there is a poster child for bad, it has to be me
I do not welcome the Devil, but there will be no begging for mercy
I often wonder what do people think
I really don't care after my third hard drink
You are wasting your time if you want to preach
You are educated, so do your best to teach
I am not worth being loved by you, so do not glow
I want discipline, so do your best to bring me under control
I party and sin and live as I please
I will never be driven to my eyes
I am a rebel and that will never change in my life
Not looking for love, a white picket fence or a loving wife
I can take the streets and deal with them blow by blow
Are you the one to keep me under control
Some people have it, some don't and some never will
I'm tired of hearing about it, I have lived it, now it's overkill
The question is do I want to sell my soul
You can save me if you can keep me under control

A Friendship Fallout

I don not know how to feel
My broken heart will never heal
It is bruised, broken and shattered
From the awful way you battered
It to pieces blow by blow
I wish you could only know
How you cut me painfully
You dug my heart out so deeply
With a sharp sarcastic tongue
Each new word you told me stung
How could you do this to me
I was being so friendly
Each day helping all I could
My heart trying to be good
All my friendship pouring out
Talking every day about
Any problems or troubles
Always be there on the double
When you called, no hesitation
Bringing so much inspiration
To a life that needed it
Till one day I felt like sh--
You just threw me to the curb
Acting weird and so absurd
Putting up a wall, you blocked
Me out-- I was stunned and shocked
At the way you looked and acted
Saying our friendship was retracted
To no longer come around
You stomped my heart in the ground
What made you do a reverse
I was there through the worst
Times-- pulling you through each one
Now your yelling we are done
I really do not want to go
When you hit me with a blow
Of anger, violence and hate
Your eyes are saying it's too late
Go away-- do not return
Your sad red eyes start to burn
With tears your starting to cry
Slamming the door on me -- WHY ????
What would cause you to end
The loyalness of a true friend

"Nobody but God knows you better than you know yourself." By author

Dear Self,

What can I say to you about yourself
that you are not already aware of?
You’ve taken tests on personalities
and know how good it is to have self-love.

You’ve always known your strengths as well as flaws,
and freely you’ll let everybody know
just what they are if folks should care to ask.
All your faults you’d share, in fact, blow-by-blow.

But in a nutshell, here are the best traits
describing you: forgiving, conscientious,
loyal, kind, considerate, fun-loving,
thrifty and authentic – not pretentious.

Some traits of yours can be annoying to
some people who are not so down-to-earth
as you are, and you need to lightly tread
with those who don’t appreciate your mirth.

You are a rebel, but one WITH a cause
because injustice you can plainly see
though some do not see things your way at all,
so sensitive to them you’ve tried to be.

Sarcasm you were good at in your youth.
You’ve had to tone that down a lot because
today society is divisive.
and seeming callous is one of your flaws.

By now, the folks who understand you well
should realize it’s only truth you seek.
Keep staying true to who you are, dear self,
while making sure to think before you speak.

Premium Member I Don'T Want To Hear It!

Lord! Why is it some folks consider it their solemn obligation,
To render unto me the details of their every operation?
No matter whence I go, I go with the expectation,
That about someone's operation I'll suffer an explanation!

Ah! To relax at the club for some stimulating conversation.
To enjoy an exquisite cigar and imbibe in a little libation!
But, invariably some feller launches an interminable dissertation,
Giving a blow-by-blow description of his latest operation!

I always ask for a window seat when making a plane reservation,
For a little solitude, for some musing and quiet meditation.
Usually, the little old lady next to me begins a long narration,
Describing more than I care to know about her delicate operation!

I enjoy walking and marveling at the beauty of God's Creation,
And along the way to sit awhile for some quiet contemplation.
Univited, some old geezer sits and begins a detailed oration,
Babbling on and on about his recent hernia operation!

Thought provoking tete-a-tetes fill me with exhilaration,
And I gain from such encounters insightful information.
But dad-gum it! Consarn it! And holy thunderation!
Please spare me the details of your every operation!

Management asked if I could evaluate one of the employees, and as that happens to be within my noted abilities and well within the scope of the hotel's agenda,

I concurred with the specific understanding that arrangements for the immediate assessment will be determined by me congruous to management specifications.

Derek's a year older and by the way, all union workers but me, including Jane, are older than me, including Jane by two years.

I advised Derek to play the gender card by taking control of the copy machine and be consciously aware of that nasty ink bottle's habit of coloring unwary hands, thus allowing the woman at the front desk to maintain their prim-n-proper selves.

At the end of that exchange that day, I concluded by asking him if his hockey team won.

He said he didn't watch the game. Derek, for the past few minutes, while I dealt with this dew-hickey, I told you of the game's highlights in blow-by-blow sorts.

That would have garnered a choice, even if your team was neither certainly one would have a Canuck like you.

I didn't watch the game either, I just read an article that highlighted the game, and fresh in my mind reasoned my call to you to go to the back office and wait for me by the copier.
