Premium Member Extinction By Litter

I saw several plastic bags caught
upon driftwood, swaying atop the ocean.
A beer can or five lay scattered nearby
soon to be taken and kept by the tide.
I placed all trash in the bag I gripped,
holding other cans, plastics, bags for chips.
I could not fathom who would do this
and stilled my sad-mad trembling lips.
We cannot seem to fight corporate greed,
but must people also cause land to bleed?

Littering breaks my entire heart
within the spiritual eternal part.
There resides my unique “I am”;
a force that radiates a breaking spark,
that hurts and longs to understand.
What lays the ways of any living man
who nonchalantly murders earth-land?
All tangibles the careless now own
came from something nature grown.
I know this is a truth widely known.

The earth has a true heartbeat –
a pulse littering may yet defeat.
The oceans, forests and even the streets,
see me picking up trash in a sad repeat.
Despite my raw anger, I often weep.
I know God lovingly created planet art
because when I move the ‘h’ in earth
it conveys we reside in His very heart.
Do not, I pray and besiege this day,
kill His artistry with garbage this way.

Wide Awake At Two Plus Hours After Midnight...
(actually, now at present time juiced
well nigh high noon same day)

On this January nineteenth
tooth thousand and nineteen
dogged by an earlier notion
searching soul to glean,
(while at Collegeville Diner)

poem hammered from this peon
expounded possibly seen,

asper belated birthday
outing now I mean
to expound upon nagging, yet keen
existential question, sans what purpose
validates yours truly within skien
of terrestrial webbed wide world,

when just a slip (pre) youth decades ago
yea, that would be
when I hapt tubby a teen
with nary a concern,

nope not even to preen
myself much to the dismay
of my late mother, nay
no idea why lackadaisical, illogical,
and antithetical bee hay
vee yore prevailed, but more to the point
rarely when young and naive did stray
thoughts besiege my mind,

that LX vintage sketchy,
shady, and seedy gray
area bothered concerning,

any price you say
for this staged coached blarney
finding this mortal questioning... ray

and underlying importance, gestalt, design...
of life more so today
meaning since recent past

accomplishments from way

at a loss to delineate

to shout hip...hip hooray
quite the contrary, which following
admission might appear cray zee,
but aye decry barely

Premium Member Evil Has Many Faces

Why do you come now?
Why do you besiege me
with your fowl unholy presents?
You are the Prince of Darkness,
the keeper of tormented souls,
you are Satan himself are you not?

Oh call me what you wish!
History has seen fit to adorn me
with many provocative names
and I detest each one of them.
For they perpetuate the myth
that every bit of the world's evil
springs directly from my loins.

Why do you come now?
Why do you torment me?.
I have been a great man of God.
I spread his word with relentless zeal
wielding the sword of righteousness
toward all I deemed evil and wicked.

Why I have come to take you home.
You have been a fantastic disciple.
Few have served our cause better.
You have made the worst sins
tolerable to the great masses.
Cloaking evil under Godly robes
was a masterful work of genius.

No!  No!  This cannot be?
God has spoken through me.
I have been his earthly conduit.
I am one of God's chosen people.
I devoutly followed his teachings
and actively preached his word.

You perverted God's so called revealed word
into a twisted rendition of your own creation.
You stoked the fears of the ignorant into a inferno
and reaped all you could from the true believers.
You have spawned a most delicious type of hatred.
One that will continue to bear fruit for years to come.
Evil has many faces, but none more hideously vile
than those who hide behind the curtain of religion.

Premium Member Woman In a Flashback

From light to dark, I am filled with delusion
Of memories unknown, of emotional strain
Like a hermit to words in moments dismembered
When time became a riddle, a crazed labyrinth
That each flashback becomes a nightmare
Documenting nothing , not even a whimper.

A quiet wail rattles of stories, from where?
Her web of remembrance, disarranged,
Embalming vignettes from thoughts fading fast
When tremors besiege, yet I suppress the angst;
Till I ask, ‘Woman of fog, scream my name,’
Before fiction becomes a chained reality.

Premium Member Silver Lining

No words can blunt the pain of a broken heart
Though dulcet melodies may soothe it for a while
Much more than tears dost thou impart
With time once more to see your golden smile

How then can thee revive thy broken dreams
Doth sorrow's weight besiege thy soul?
Lo, the weight is lighter than it seems
With time the silver lining gleams

But who can mend a broken soul?
What unseen force can repair the inner core
He who dwells on high can make you whole
Like stars, your light will shine once more

And when the silence is broken by thy thoughts
Your spirit will rise above the dreams you sought

Premium Member Within the Musical Frame of Cung Tiehin the Musical Frame of Cung Tien

By Phan Tan Hai

I learned to write poetry from the days of youth,
within the musical forms you brought into the world;
in radiant autumn afternoons,
in sky-frames fragrant with memories,
in late-night seasons of pale moonlight,
in the rainstorms of music you poured over my childhood.

You appeared like the sun,
bringing showers of joyful music to this world;
because this realm is the First Noble Truth, you wrote music to bring peace;
because this realm is impermanent, you wrote music to point toward the deathless;
because this realm is full of violence, you wrote music to quiet the human heart;
because this realm is swollen with pride, you wrote music to offer humility and loving-kindness;
because this realm is stained with impurity, you wrote music to make spring eternally beautiful.

I learned from your music to write my own lines of poetry—
asking whether this word brings peace, helping people leave the realm of suffering;
whether this word points to the deathless, helping people flow with impermanence;
whether this word stills the heart, helping people leave the world’s harshness;
whether this word carries humility and compassion, helping people see no-self and abandon pride;
whether this word makes spring eternally beautiful, an offering to countless Buddha-lands.

You lived a quiet life while your music was sung across the sky;
you hid yourself in the most silent places while your music became the world’s breath;
you lived as if from nowhere, and lived as if returning nowhere;
you lived seeing no boundary between self and others;
you lived like a drifting cloud, leaving no trace in this world.

And then your music became the gentle rain and favorable wind,
extinguishing the fires that besiege the three realms,
making forests and mountains greener,
offering boundless joy to humankind,
teaching people to listen to the far shore—

teaching them to listen to the far shore,
teaching them to listen
beyond the sound of music,
when you released your hands from the instrument,
smiled, lay down, and rested in peace.

— To offer condolences to Cung Nhat Thanh and family. June 2022.

Premium Member HEART THAT THANKS THE LORD FOR LETTING US DWELL IN HIS PLAN

March 16 Heart for God Bible Meditations Based on Joshua 19-21

Key Verse – Joshua 21:2 And they spake unto them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan, saying, The LORD commanded by the hand of Moses to give us cities to dwell in, with the suburbs thereof for our cattle.

HEART THAT THANKS THE LORD FOR LETTING US DWELL IN HIS PLAN

Our heart thanks the Lord for letting us dwell in His plan since He is our Saviour
Whom we should trust in striving for Christ-like behaviour---
He does care for us with His compassionate favour
We are His ransomed saints toward heavenly endeavour.

Our heart thanks the Lord for letting us dwell in His plan since He is our Deliverer
Whom we should love forever---
He does besiege us with His great power
We are His grateful recipients, and each of us as praise-filled receiver.

Our heart thanks the Lord for letting us dwell in His plan since He is our Shepherd
Whom we should depend on because His life for us He offered---
He does guide us with His cheerful voice, clearly heard
We are His joyful lambs belonging to His divine herd.

Our heart thanks the Lord for letting us dwell in His plan since He is our Authority
Whom we should obey with sincere humility---
Who does reign over us with His triumphant eternity
We are His earnest believers appreciating His majesty.

Our heart thanks the Lord for letting us dwell in His plan since He is our King
Whom we should bow down to, devoid of faking---
He does rule over us with His supreme making
We are His delighted worshippers, and His fellowship, we are seeking.

Our heart thanks the Lord for letting us dwell in His plan since He is our God
Whom we should serve with our everything – along with our submissive nod---
He does own us, granting us life eternal with His redemptive blood
We are His adopted children along His guarding rod.

Our heart thanks the Lord for letting us dwell in His plan since He is our Truth and Way
Whom we should follow with full conviction as to Him we always pray---
He does answer us, radiating to us His light’s ray
We are His redeemed ones, trusting Him everyday.
