Humdumpty was an analyst, a Cambridge Ph.D.,
A noted bio-atomist, whatever that might be.
Indeed, from earliest childhood it was his single aim
To analyze no matter what might enter his domain.
He analyzed his father's watch and next the neighbour's cat.
Ah! Little more was seen or heard of Felix after that.
Astounding learned pedagogues, hard pressed to keep his pace,
Humdumpty grew up daily--in knowledge if not grace.
And then at university his intellectual power
Decimated Einstein and the works of Schopenhauer.
With ease that was amazing he romped a Double First,
And yet, for all his learning, nought quenched his burning thirst.
Despite the storm, and tumult that marked his inner life,
Humdumpty found the leisure to woo--and win--a wife.
He loved her--Oh! so dearly, his idol and his joy!
Alack! How oft our dearest 'tis we ourselves destroy.
One day in stormy weather he raised his eyes above,
And posed himself the riddle: "What constitutes her love?"
One night--to angels' weeping--the dark thought seized his mind:
"By scalpel and analysis the answer I shall find."
Full soon she took a sleeping draught, and when the time was due,
He set about his gruesome task, inspired by love so true.
How tenderly, how lovingly, he cut into her heart.
With what profound emotion he set his spouse apart.
To isolate that molecule in which all love resides
He scrutinized each corpuscle, and did much else besides.
All data was computerized, and ere a while had passed,
A reasonable hypothesis was imminent at last.
How tantalizing is the truth, how far--and yet, how near!
'Twas in the corner of his eye--and then would disappear.
It dawned at last upon him, his efforts would prove vain,
Unless he somehow managed to join her up again.
Of every art that served this end he tried the whole range through.
He first tried biophysics--and his last resort was glue.
Alas, alas, Humdumpty! There is a fateful law:
Some things men set asunder no mortal can restore.
They did not need a hangman or Madame Guillotine.
Before another week had passed, he died of bitter spleen.
Now some say he's in Heaven, and others, he's in Hell.
I'm not a theologian, it's difficult to tell.
For sure, he cut his dear wife up, and who would call that right?
But was it not his quest for truth that brought about his plight?
I'm a simple guy,
I like video games, music and succeeding without trying,
So when a man comes up to me and tell me he can save my life,
Who am I to turn down a free book from a generous passerby,
Strange how after hundreds of Reddit articles I find these red words the most astounding,
Each verse saturated with a truth beyond my understanding,
I embraced the scripture in my new-found belief,
Ditching skeptics and scientific contention for a biblical motif,
So with my newfangled faith I embarked on a holy endeavor,
To sift through a lifetime of personal uncertainty to uncover the answer,
I found myself under bottomless pizza boxes,
Buying time stocks from the evolutionary clock,
Discovering purpose through glimmering game discs,
Fashioning polygonal personalities into personable obelisks,
Uncovering the depths of my psyche excavating mountains of dirty laundry,
Rinse on, dry off, purging both physical filth and emotional quandaries,
Sharing walkways with speeding cars enslaved to a monetary duty I can't shirk
A journey of a thousand steps every pilgrimage to work,
My blood a bubbling brew of ambition and potential,
Yet required to surpass insurmountable credentials,
Ignoring the marked symbols in newspapers they seek to brand on my forehead,
Subjective opinions of civility and idealism dropped on me like warheads,
Cryptic predictions of personality and fate,
You think I need a dice roll to determine if I'm straight?
Countless evaluations to rationalize the psyche and soul combined,
What makes their opinion more viable than mine?
I'm taking buoyant steps upon the swamp to reach my destination,
Swapping carnality for divinity to achieve the ultimate self-preservation,
Cremating my mortality I seek to ascend,
Past primitive understanding of a purpose I cannot comprehend,
This road we walk is coated with trip-wire and paved with scorching coals,
Watch out for those flaming hours in your 5-day forecast so find the nearest foxhole,
The burden on our shoulders has already been lifted so there's no reason for us to be aching,
We're on the path to eternal salvation why aren't we skipping?
So why don't you tag along with me on this self-realization odyssey,
I can't promise explosions or tentacle-headed aliens but I know it'll at least be interesting,
Just you, yourself, me and I,
The most dynamic duo to ever breach the sky.
"The Walk"
The most precious
diamonds falling
every step before me
wet the ground
bare feet
my blood,
my gift,
our foundations
placed reverently
before you
solidarity
I gave you
gifted under burning
oath of Golden Sun
Where have you gone
In this dream of yours?
Where are
all my children?
Bring me my children
the ones who meet me
unknown or known
singing loud and clear
to me, a ghost
in their dreams
I am that light that
stills the storms
the truth of life
in its all, its broken seams
Victory in Love
means more than darkness
to these ones
in their dreams
My precious pearls
from their hearts
seeded and blooming
through my heart
they are the ones
who deliver
true wisdom
bring me the children
a new life
evolving
too much talk now,
stand beside me
Come child
of mine
Be afraid no more
Walk with me
In the time
of something
beautiful
and astounding
Walk with me
you, the one
who dares,
you know who you are,

"A Black Sun" / Gary Numan

"When I was a child,
my life seemed endless,
too far to see
When I was a child,
the world was waiting
and called to me
And everyone I loved
would live for eternity
And everything I dreamed
would all come true for me
But now I feel the end come
My childish dreams are undone
I cry under a black sun
And every song is unsung
You will hear me
when the wind sighs
You will feel me
beside you always
You won't see me,
but I'll be with you
When I was a child,
all love was painless,
no tears to cry
When I was a child,
I played the hero
who held the sky
But now I hold you
and love
is more than I can bear
And when I think of you,
love becomes a pain to share
But I hear loss calling
and this is pain talking
And I am fear walking
and these are tears falling
You will hear me
when the wind sighs
You will feel me
beside you always
You won't see me,
but I'll be with you"

John 8:12
LUX VITAE
I see you running up and down the street staring at me through your dark tinted mirror; I couldn’t see your face but I saw your hands moving about on the steering wheel as you mount that battered hill with curiosity and reality staring in your face.
I have subdued all feelings and continue to search of new meaning. I want to catapult up to sky and have some fun before I die. Are you going to mask your hands too with a gloves and a colored shoe?, What are you afraid of? The dress, the crown or the new frock? I saw you going up the hill with something that is smaller than you but you ride with a vision that is bigger than yourself.
The sun rises slowly over the hill and burst through myriads of grey clouds pouring out a warm friendly smile that sinks deep into my flesh. The morning sweat kept seeping through my pores soaking my clothes and dripping water all over the floor, it’s as if I have just ran a marathon ten times around the track clocking a faster time with all that I have got .
I can see you standing over there looking at me over here. Driving up and down on the street disrupting my heart beat. Why did you come here if you have nothing to fear, you kept hiding from me as if you are my destiny. I do not know for sure where this is going but I will journey with you to the end.
The big stage is rolling in and the streets are busy with fine merchandise from home and abroad, trucks are lined up at the corner and the streets shoppers and vendors are walking around trying to get the early morning sales.
The actors are repeating their lines and dancers from all over the world are rehearsing for the big event. A hundred and ten bands are on the track and the jazz performers are waiting at the back.
Big trucks parked up on the business street with millions of dollars of catered food stuff; chef, waiters and waitress are running about clearing the trucks and unpacking the stuff, it is going to be a big bang with coronation bells flying all over the land.
See them dressed up over there in fine costume and carnivals boots, their painted lips and exquisite attire set the whole world on fire, the music is playing in the background and everyone is gathering around
Come to where I live and I will show you something astounding, the streets are packed and the birds are flying in the air and the message is quite clear.
It was you from the moment I seen you.
I knew in my heart I would be the one to rescue you, but in the end you ended up saving me.
I see in your eyes the pain that lingered inside.
From your past relationships your pride was on cloud nine.
My theory was to put your fears aside.
You feel like I am like all the rest, so you continuously put my love through a test.
Why won’t you let me love you?
My love is a virtue, forever lasting external statue.
It was you my handcrafted imbue tattoo I cling to.
If you only knew how I truly feel about you.
I was sculpted only for you my sahib, I am your rib.
You’re a reflection of me desperately wanting love, but scared of the many risks that come with it.
Love should have come with an asterisk.
You’re my only weakness causing infectious affection.
It was your personality that spoke volumes to me, showering me with chivalry.
Persistency kept me where I wanted to be.
Let me be the one you need, all you need is faith as tiny as a mustard seed.
Abundantly this love will be an adjustment for you, and me.
If you should have a nightmare just know I will be there.
If you’re hurting and need to cry, I will be the one to wipe your eyes.
For my love only identifies.
I fell in love with you, not for the things you’re able to do.
It was simply you…
If you should happen to get laid off work, I will be the one standing in the door.
The only one you brace oneself for.
Your personal landing gear, I am whole heartily sincere.
I will be your rocking chair.
If the time comes and you begin to lose your hair, baby I will be your favorite barber chair your personal concierge.
It was you that introduced your love voodoo.
Only wanting you timeless déjà vu.
You made me love you; you are my lifetime band aid.
Now let me be your brigade, your right hand grenade.
You’re forever nursing aide.
The sharpest in your drawer knife blade.
The one and, only ace of spade your jack of trades.
Equivalent to money your love is symbolic.
A polished rocket you’re extraordinary, and solid.
Biologic process but simply flawless.
If I am getting off topic I might be losing conscious.
Thinking of you makes me forget my surroundings.
My heart starts pounding echo sounding.
I automatic start smiling, it’s simply astounding.
You knew it has always been you.
It was you.
He never complains about its
enormous , heavy weight.
His life is adorned with tolerance
and stoicism.
He bears it, filled with an
unrequited, unparalleled
love.
It is like a steadfast desert
never causes him to moan.
His fortitude like a rambling
rose is etched in his
tender heart.
Soul enfolds , the sun-drenched
vast sky.
He tolerates its patronizing,
dismissive ,reprehensible
attitude about him.
He hugs and cover it with kisses , without
any hesitation or doubt.
The aromatic ,perfumed Spring's
smile like the passing moonlight.
The terrified of dawn is never in
tears.
The wounded dove dances,
gazing at mountainous
bloody sea.
The breath of a blissful
rainbow is unruffled.
The astounding, overcast sky.
sings the lasting dream.
A rocky road of love is woven
into a meditative trance.
In the chaotic realm of sadness
is enshrined divine
happiness.
A glimmer of truth is enshrouded
by an unyielding snowstorm.
On the canvas of dreams,
dwelling a sunny optimism
painting in hues.
In the realm of words, residing
a powerful spell painting
a celestial delight.
"Oh, hi",said an old granny,
Her ashen face lit up with a wide smile,
I greeted her back but with melancholy,
As I was feeling low for quite a while.
She instantly asked, "What's wrong, my child?"
I was already downcast and told her the reason my day felt mild.
I hesitantly enquired- "Why is life so damn tough, granny?"
To which, she answered- "Life is beautiful but one might, at times, feel uncanny.
Life is undoubtedly an adventurous ride,
Some days you feel low, the other days, your face shines with pride.
There's no secret to excelling at it, as you may ask.
Just learn the lessons along the journey, with each coming task.
The most significant lesson is to work hard and keep yourself on track,
Because only your diligence and consistency will help you learn the hack.
Teenage is tough but remind yourself what makes you unique,
Whatever it may be, could be your humor or even your physique.
You shall come across a number of people and they will all teach you something,
Just go with the flow, remember it's your life and you surely are its King.
One important aspect is to learn to deal with failures,
Cuz, you, my dear should know they're not there to steal your laughters,
Rather, treat them as an inevitable part of the journey, to teach you where you lacked,
It could be possible that there were loopholes in your prep and hence you slacked.
But whenever you fall or hit the rock bottom,
Make sure to rise from the ashes although you might already feel numb.
Winning or losing at your endeavours are a part and parcel of it,
But when you start afresh and try again to reach greater heights is when you can say you fit.
Even Darwin proposed the idea of survival of the fittest,
Facing the ordeals of life and overcoming them will make an ordinary man the greatest.
Learn to find little pleasures in whatever you do,
Cuz one fine day, you'll realise how quick the days just flew.
Being content and healthy is the greatest asset,
Without good health, one faces a treacherous threat."
"Thank you dear granny, I feel better already!", I said.
Smiling at me, an astounding aura of positivity, she spread.
I waved at her to wish her a goodbye,
Hoping I could meet her again and her lessons I could comply.
soul searching
purpose working
once upon a rhyme
a friend named Trina and I wrote
it's still true in this space
and time although some
things have changed
the life of a soul with a
spirit in a body from
soul to radiant
and whatever else is
believed to be within
and without; I search
for the meaning of that
whicih I cannot see and
that which I can see
I have been fooled by
appearances this is a
notoriously promoted
'don't' on the universal
spiritual list
in the year 2000,
I sat down with journal
and pen everyday for
six days I asked questions
and God gave answers
I knew nothing of a
Neale Donald Walsh
but at my desk in my
bedroom I had my own
conversations with God
and it wasn't as hard as
I thought it would be
I wasn't new age or new
thought savvy and
I had know idea that
perhaps what I was
doing according to
some was completely
wrong I had questions
and I wanted answers
my favorite exchange
was a question about one
correct religion or path
to connect with God
I was given an answer
in numbers; let's just
say the destination is
the number six. write down
how many ways you know
off the top of your head
to get to the number six
I came up with fourteen
equations. and I knew there
more that would take time
to calculate and contemplate
so many ways to one goal
and could I say any of
them were wrong? no.
there's the answer
and I was satisfied and
yet I know there are folks
who would treat people
like outcasts, argue in large
groups or just a few people
any and everywhere or kill
to make the point there's
only one way to God
I've read about many religions
including the one in which I was
raised Christian....the history
behind it all is astounding
but oddly enough, not surprising
finding soul through religion
and spiritual practice taught
me something profound -- it's
with me all the time, it was
a matter of finding its purpose
a path already in motion
before I uttered a prayer
but the need for labels,
phrases, terminology,
and specific concepts
can muddy a surprisingly
clear view when I was
not so overwhelmed
by the "Am I getting it
right?" syndrome and
I need confirmation
over and over again
it had to stop
and it did
A simple star
Shining brightly,
A simple speck in the universe
His breath...
An explosive being
No scientific bangs involved
Just a small command
To become
To be
To exist
His breath...
To summon particles
To present itself, presently
To come forth
His breath....
A spoken word
A Living Word
Words with power
Words are everything
His breath...
The Word was in the beginning
The Spoken Word was ever-present
Always been here without anything else
Always there, always here
Always been the foundation of everything
God was here
God was in the beginning
The Son was and is here
The first thought, the first action,
Was spoken through God's lips
His breath...
God's mouth
God's being
God's Spirit
God's existence was the creation
Without Him, nothing
A whisper started a galactic chaos
A word created something from nothing
A comment made blackness
Into luminous light
A breath was all it took
His breath...
My breath is lost in the air
My breath is unattainable to return to my lungs
My breath is nothing
My breath is unknown
His breath eased through his mouth
His breath is the foundation of our existence
His breath is astounding
More than the most precious moment
Endearing smile or timeless age
His breath...
More complex than extricate atomic details
Or the simplistic beauty that radiates from true love
His breath...
A sound was the result of his thought pattern for us
A reverberation swung particles together
When He spoke
There was no option but to obey
The light had no choice but to come forth
The air had no say in living or not
The stars had no plan but to follow His voice
To twinkle in the sky
Even though some will never be seen by the human eye
Just simply for our admiration, adoring small radiance
The waters rushed forth from bleak shadows
Depth, division, deepness, intense pressure and fluidity
He watched as naught became infinite elements of matter
Who else can hold light beams in their palm,
And control it to go to and fro?
Who else could hold all the expanse of waters
On our living planet and separate it from the
raw terrain?
No complicated lingo
No scientific jargon
No profound mystery
Just know it was because of His breath
Now breathe it in...
The time is coming
the dead will soon rise
and devour your family
before you own eyes.
The forgotten wizard
tired of a life in caves
made a dark pact for
the power he craves.
Zombie and vampires from their grave.
A lone warrior stands,
Whos destiny is to save.
With sword and shield he places his faith.
With a stab and a hack
he fought the beasts back
but he is hurt badly
and all fades to black
stone walls and little light
he woke with a fright
and tried to stand in vain
he was hurt and fell to the pain.
He was in a chapel to the wise god
where he prayed to him for help
he was granted shining armor and sword
His mighty god made him to smite the whelp
The undead were strong
but he was a hoss
he killed them all
and showed demons who's boss
blade in hand he made his way
to the massive dark tower
where the necromancers stay
He rallied the soldiers
The barbarians and thieves
the mages and assassins
armed to their sleeves.
He made his own army
their might was astounding
the battle began
with each strike resounding
They fought with all their hearts
stabbing and sliceing
and putting to use their magical arts.
put an end to most of the plauge
But the leader of this blight
in the very tip top
made another demonic rite.
he killed the whole army except for one.
The blessed one stood immune to it all
his armor scratched, his shield long lost,
his sword bloodied alone he stood tall
The Paladin from now he would be known
The wizards fear stood true.
he cast his spell to little effect
he was soon run through
his soul then was claimed.
Beaten and wounded in the worst way.
he walk out of the tower into morning light
he fell to his knees and began to pray
for his army, his brothers, his men
may the gods above to take them all in
Again all things went black
he was gone this time
there was no coming back
he sat next to the gods in the sky
everyone rejoiced and everyone cried
the darkness was gone and many lived
and just as many had died
They saved the day
and yet lived on
in a way
the songs sang and tales told
The paladin was brave
the paladin was bold
the paladin was a savior
for the young and the old
